Let's put this to rest right now. Aaron Flynn (former General Manager of BioWare) explicitly said that it was their choice and that it wasn't forced upon them by EA.
Orignal Source: https://player.fm/series/kotaku-splitscreen/gdc-2018-life-after-bioware-with-aaryn-flynn (audio interview).
This is not news. Kotaku, among others have already stated they started work on this in 2012.
https://kotaku.com/bioware-announces-new-ip-anthem-1795987406
"BioWare has been teasing this new IP for years now, since Mass Effect executive producer Casey Hudson first started developing it in after finishing Mass Effect 3 in 2012. In 2014, Hudson left BioWare, but development on Anthem continued. EA has said that it’ll be out in fiscal year 18, which spans from April 2018 to March 2019."
And Bioware has a statement about it on their blog:
http://blog.bioware.com/2017/01/31/a-note-about-our-new-ip/
"In 2012, we began crafting a new universe full of new characters, stories, and gameplay. Our ambition is simple: Draw upon 20+ years of development knowledge and lessons to create something fun and new for you to enjoy with your friends."
Well, to quote the Kotaku article that started all this:
>Two people who have worked on Anthem both expressed anxiety to me about the ways some big YouTubers have spread misinformation and inflammatory rhetoric about EA, saying that it has a demoralizing effect on those people on the ground level.
It's just the standard strategy to drive views; the same problem that plagues media at all levels.
Hi. I made the free "Companion for Anthem" mobile App. It's a vailable for Android and Windows and I try to bring it to iOS as soon as possible.
 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.bl4cksh33p.anthem
Can be bought separately or with the game:
Kotaku did a fairly detailed account of the collapse of EA Visceral that perhaps offers some insight into how they manage their studios.
I'm not saying that Bioware are on the same path as Visceral, they've got an experienced team with a good track record on Anthem - which may buy them more faith and thus less meddling from EA - but some of the stuff you can see there probably applies
Basically, it seems like EA aren't looking to micro-manage and there's quite a bit of freedom to make the game you want to make, but you've got to pitch to them something that they think will make them money, and along the way you'll have to reassure them that the game is on track.
And in the worst case if they think they're just throwing money into a pit they'll just shut you down instead. Which isn't unreasonable, really. But its something that's going to encourage you to make a game that you think they'll have confidence in.
For anyone looking for a great projector on the cheap side(<$500 US). I did a lot of research recently, I use it during the day/night for Movies/Games whatever and it's 1080p very clear and has blow away my expectations. Amazon Link
Details are still required. Origin Access Premier (the PC top-tier service) presumably offers full access on the 15th. EA Access has no 'Premiere' version (yet) and the early access is usually time-limited to 10 hours, but that's not spelled out in the small print.
EDIT: Ah it's clarified here in the FAQ: https://www.origin.com/gbr/en-us/store/origin-access/ea_play
So, what's the difference between Basic and Premier?
Our Basic membership [Origin Access and EA Access] gets you:
the chance to try out our new games for up to ten hours, starting five days before release, with Play First Trials
Premier [Origin Access Premier] will give you:
full, unlimited access to our games, starting five days before they release.

>Pre-production on Mass Effect: Andromeda was a tale of two cities. Several people from the team described 2013 as one of the best years of their professional lives and 2014 as one of the worst. Whereas 2013 was full of possibilities for the developers of Andromeda, 2014 was full of politics. Conflicts emerged between BioWare staffers at the company’s two main studios, in Edmonton and Montreal. Developers in Edmonton said they thought the game was floundering in pre-production and didn’t have a strong enough vision, while developers in Montreal thought that Edmonton was trying to sabotage them, taking ideas and staff from Montreal for its own projects, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Dylan. By the end of 2014 at least a dozen people had left BioWare Montreal for other studios, and it wasn’t clear to the remaining staff whether those positions would be replaced. The animation team in particular was understaffed, sources said, and when people left, their positions sometimes weren’t refilled.

Looks like amazon and console itself are the same
https://www.amazon.com/Anthem-Legion-Dawn-Xbox-Digital/dp/B07DN16S6H
For digital codes it’s 59.99/79.99, physical says unavailable
Looking at your links it’s using Canada, which bumps up the price some (have seen the same type of posts about Warframe stuff). For me all of them seem to show 59.99/79.99
Note that you may need to view this page in an incognito browser. I only see "Watch the Trailer" when logged in.

God do I despise the mods of this subreddit. The reproduced below apparently is a duplicate post that is not permitted, presumably because it could be placed here instead:

BioWare what's your mailing address? I'd like to donate ten copies of Creativity Inc.
Link here to the amazon page for this book. Written by Ed Catmull, the head of Pixar from before it was even Pixar, Creativity Inc. is essentially a story about Pixar's history and how Ed and the other leaders of Pixar tried to first make a successful animated movie, and then maintain that success. It talks about how one movie they made required a lot of crunch and burned people out, and they resolved to never do it again, and haven't. It talks about growing a company where two different projects are worked on by different teams, and ensuring nobody feels like there is an A team or B team. It talks about making sure the driving force of a movie is the experience, not the technology or pleasing some shitty executive. It talks about giving responsibility and accountability to a single person who owns the project and makes decisions.
It basically talks about how Pixar tried to navigate every god damn pothole BioWare tripped on, and maybe if you read it when it came out in 2014 we wouldn't have this dumpster fire of a game.
> Well, multiple devs have came forward with a release month but ultimately they keep say it'll be further down in the future.
Nothing has actually been officially stated. Nothing. Anyone who tells you differently that isn't talking about something from the official Bioware blog is wrong. Period.
> For team size, its unusually small and saying that they'd step on each others toes is a bit disrespectful to other games makers.
I am a software engineer. I in fact do know what I'm talking about here. In this case, they don't need a large team to explore different concepts for how to revamp things. When the problem is one of experimentation, adding more development effort won't help. And putting in anything but mostly placeholder art is a waste of time if that concept doesn't get used, and if it does get used, placeholder art is fine until you need to actually fully design and develop the system.
> Small games have taken hundreds more of people.
Small games can be built by less than a dozen people. I've done it before. I was part of a startup that did just that. Team size does not correlate to game size--small games can be built by huge teams and huge games can be built by small teams. It's a matter of how much work can be parallelized and how much speed up you gain by increasing the team size vs. slow down you encounter by increasing the need for communication between team members. You should read The Mythical Man Month to get a better understanding of why this is.
> The choice they're making with this small team shows either that its a concentrated group or that they no longer care about the game as much as they should.
And you didn't once stop to think that maybe it's actually that they wanted a concentrated group?
I remember how they said the game wouldn’t launch with the battle royale. They said the game would have a battle royale but that it wouldnt be included at launch.
That was known for close to a month before launch.

On Pendrych's comment about feedback getting buried...
At some point in the future, could there be a real feedback site put together? There is an official forum, but there is no feedback section on there, and ideally a feedback section should also have numerous subcategories. Have you seen the feedback site for red dead online?. See how it's sorted into the various categories?
I think something like this would make it much easier for you and the appropriate devs to parse feedback, and it would stop people feeling like their feedback is just getting buried. I also feel like, although near launch feedback is especially important, it will continue to be useful for the entire life of the game, so it would be a good idea to implement it.

If it didn't show up for you on Origin (PC), search for Anthem in the Origin Client Store tab or go here and click "Try it First" :)
It should get added to your Origin Library and you can begin the preload.
Props to /u/NumbEffect for the pointer
Yes, Andromeda was developed by Bioware Montreal, a branch who had been doing multiplayer and some dlc's for the main games Bioware Edmonton made the orgirinal ME trilogy, all the Dragon Age games so far, and Anthem were made by Edmonton. Montreal was disbanded by EA after Adromeda's release. We have a commom ground, they did not have time to polish it indeed, i read that too, but in regards to EA, it semms the publisher would have given it a bit more time, if they wanted. It would be the obvious choice to polish it more, but as i said, everything was a mess in Montreal, according to the article, so they just released it. https://kotaku.com/the-story-behind-mass-effect-andromedas-troubled-five-1795886428 Here is the article. The bit about EA giving it more time was released later, and i coudn't find it, so take it with a grain of salt if you want.
Yeah no kidding. Anyone remember KOTOR 2? Here's a link to the restored content mod for it, https://www.moddb.com/mods/the-sith-lords-restored-content-mod-tslrcm. Look at how much content was cut from the game and this was 14-15 years ago.
Now we're in 2019 where software is so much more complex to develop and you get people saying stuff like games used to be so much better before
And that's exactly the problem, I'd much rather see something like this dev blog, it's not like it's got fancy formatting, or ton of stupid animations, basic format, information over form. And it works. It shows the company gives shit. That lets the players get invested, instead of thinking of it as "that game", they think "my game".
What is so freaking secret about what they doing, eh?
For those interested in finding these values for other things themselves, GIMP is a free image editing software that has a Color Picker tool and will show you the RGB value of said color as well.
Just copy and paste the image with the colors you want into GIMP then use the color picker on the color you want then click on the color and the pop-up will have those values.
Give borderless gaming a shot, I'm running a old version before the dev for it started charging but it looks like he's back to giving it away for free again.
Based on his previous posts, such as, 'Its ridiculous to say this article is bashing and reeks of them not actually reading it, absorbing it and reflecting on it. Its troubling and shows that whoever wrote the blog post is not in tune with the boots on the ground in their own company', I'd say he is definitely speaking out of a place of concern for the developers.
This whole conversation wouldn't be happening if it weren't for the work of an honest and caring investigative journalist. Very few individuals are concerned about learning the specific inner workings or failures of Bioware. The majority of individuals commenting here aren't asking for that information - they are asking for assurances that any future money they're sending to the company is not the outcome of the unreasonable and exploitative practices that Schreier has been exposing for years.
Tl;dr - People aren't asking for information about what's happened, they're asking for assurances about what will happen next.
Hi. I already started to work on a companion app. If there is an API I'll try to implement it as soon as possible.

If you own the standard edition, you do not need to pay $90. Just $20 for the Legion of Dawn upgrade.
I think we’ve stumbled upon something odd. The Origin store page lists 12gb as the recommended RAM, while EA’s website for Anthem lists 16gb as recommended. I wonder why there’s such an inconsistency?
On pc at least you can upgrade to Legion of Dawn Edition for 20.00. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/anthem/anthem/addon/anthem-legion-of-dawn-edition-upgrade#store-page-section-description
For consoles you might have to check their stores.
The pre-order bonus was Legion of Dawn Ranger armor, legendary weapon, and legendary ranger gear. Now their is a Legion of Dawn Edition that has all of the armor packs, weapon , ranger gear, and soundtrack. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/anthem/anthem/addon/anthem-legion-of-dawn-edition-upgrade#store-page-section-description
Since you got it from a promotion it does not count as a pre-order.

Second link down from “request refund through Origin launcher”
Should work since the earliest you could’ve launched was yesterday and one of their conditions is within 24h of first launch of the game.
You on PC?
If so, try going to the Origin Anthem store page. There should be a gray button there for the trial, labelled View Trial. You can then add it to your library.
It didn't show up on the Origin client for me until I did that.

open in browser
click "view trial"
and add to library
very confusing
Got around it by going to the origin store on my browser instead of via the app. (got pre-order and origin basic)
I found a way to download the game and maybe play it , go to https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/anthem/anthem and press the "view Trial" option then follow up what comes next .
It didnt work for me directly from origin , had to go to the site, hope it helps !
> In Origin Access Basic, what are Play First Trials? Will my progress carry over?
>
>Play First Trials let you download and play upcoming EA games before they’re released for a limited time. Yep – that’s right, you’ll be the first to play EA’s latest and greatest with an Origin Access Basic membership. And because you’re playing the real game, not a demo, your progress will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to purchase the game.

So they can access any of the available Play First Trials on the Origin Access trial they should be able to try out Anthem even before buying it since it is available as a Play First Trial.
False. The "Founders Player Banner" only come with pre-orders and Premier subscriptions, and you will lose it once the sub runs out.
Source: https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/anthem/anthem
Click "Get the Game" scroll down until you see "Compare Editions."
You may have to log out first.
Origin Store says you must pre-order or have a subscription if you want the Banner. You will lose access to LoD for not owning LoD, so I don't see why you wouldn't lose the Founder's Banner if you didn't pre-order.
Source: https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/anthem/anthem

If you get Premier, play early, use the 10% off and buy the full game do you also get the stuff from the Legion Of Dawn edition including the Legion of Dawn skins and the Ranger Javelin Exosuit Legendary Gear Attachment?

On this page below if you scroll down to "Compare Editions" it seems to show that you get them under the column titled "Exclusive to Premier".
https://www.origin.com/can/en-us/store/anthem/anthem/interstitial

If that is true, does anyone know what happens to the skins/legendary gear if you end up cancelling premier down the line?
EA get you to sign up to their $130 premium service, for that you get a week early access to the full game. (plus other EA games) https://www.origin.com/aus/en-us/store/origin-access
You actually get that 10% discount even with the Basic subscription, so if you just go with Basic, and decide to buy in within your subcription period, you can actually get an overall discount (especially if you grab basic today while that $1 deal is still going, you'll essentially save 5-7 bucks).
From the Origin Access FAQ:
>Here's what you get with Basic membership:
>* Access to The Vault, [etc., etc.] * The chance to try out our new games [...] * A 10% discount on Origin digital purchases including full games, expansions, points packs and more.
Playing on the 15th is only limited to the premier, basic grants 10 hours trial on official launch day, which is the 21st.

Anthem origin store. Read the description on the store page

Far as I can tell as long as you buy the standard and the pre order doesn't come with some sort of currency you should be able to refund it. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/great-game-guarantee
> "Basic members can try new games days before launch for up to 10 hours. Progress carries over with purchase."
This appears on top of a screenshot for Anthem which implies it's also true for Anthem.
> Early access to upcoming games (Anthem & More)
The page (https://www.origin.com/deu/en-us/store/anthem/anthem/interstitial) says seven days before launch, which is february the 15.
Unfortunately i found no information which time of the day the game will be available...
VIP Demo was in the evening for europe (where i am).
The anthem page says:
> Extra content included with new EA games (including MTX bonuses and expansion packs)
So I guess that includes preorder bonuses.
Still doesn't show up on origin naturally. I had to use the link provided on the discord to access the download via google chrome and have it download through origin. If you search on Origin it still just has a button to purchase the game and another button to view the trailer. I was able to download it here (https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/anthem/anthem) but i figured i would let you guys know my experience.
Do we know if you get full access to the demo all weekend long if you use Origin Access Basic to get into the demo? Origin Access's comparison site (here) seems to suggest that if you use basic Origin Access, you only get a 10-hour trial. Can anyone confirm that?
If you're having trouble on PC, try the website here: https://www.origin.com/aus/en-us/store/anthem/anthem with the "Try it First" button.
There seems to be something up with desktop client store not showing said option.
You can pre-order the game digitally at https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/anthem/anthem
If you try it out and don't like it during the demo, cancel the pre-order.
Personally I've been burned by a couple games in the past. This time I'll be trying the game out first(before buying if it's great) with Origin Access, Premier: https://www.origin.com/fin/en-us/store/origin-access
You get access to full EA game library, head-starts, discount on games. It's a great way to try out a game before buying it with the discount and also you get access to so many other games that you might want to try out.
I swear I don't work for EA :D It just seems like a good idea to pay 14,99€ for one month for ALL GAMES instead of 60€ just for Anthem. Then if you feel you are going to play the game for more than a month you can buy it with the 10% discount.
I went looking for any fine print about maximum play time, didn't find any, but you will know quickly if you can play it or not I'm sure.
Per their website (US), I'm sure you can find for your native language if desired as well... https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/great-game-guarantee.
Here's how to return a game with the Great Game Guarantee You may return EA full game downloads (PC or Mac) and participating third party titles purchased on Origin for a full refund. Refund requests can be made within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within fourteen days from your date of purchase, or within fourteen days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered, whichever comes first. And if you purchase a new EA game within the first 30 days of its release date and can't play it due to technical reasons within EA's control, you can request a refund within 72 hours after you first launch the game instead of 24.
Visit your Order History and select the Request a Refund link next to any eligible* product.
Complete and submit the Refund Request Form.
You'll get a response within 48 hours and your refund within 10 days.
Agreed, one thing to keep in mind is that you can always matchmake for anything in-game apparently. There is a callout to it on the Origin page:
>Set out together on an expedition, or drop a contract to call in friends to assist with difficult challenges.
Judging by the way you keep using it, I'd have to respectfully disagree.
Here are some useful tools to help you use it appropriately in the future:
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/entitled
You had an account that got breached somewhere else and they used that info to get into your Anthem account. Check out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see what breaches you're in and get yourself a password manager and give every account a unique password. Or simply stop reusing passwords.
I tried combing through all the comments to see if this came up in the quagmire that is the discussion on loot boxes, I didn't see it so I'm going to throw it here.
I think that a lot of gamers have reservations about what they will get for their $60 (or whatever you pay for a new game). More and more it seems like good content is being held hostage behind either MTX or DLC. DLC is it's own issue but I want to toss in 2 cents regarding MTX and lootboxes. In 2017, China instituted a law that requires games to show the potential loot and the probability of that loot. Read about it here. In the wake of Star Wars Battlefront 2 I heard about some US legislation introduced (in California I believe) that would require the same sort of thing.
In my mind this is a big step forward. Transparency regarding rewards and the likelihood of receiving them makes it clear what a consumer is getting (e.g., my $0.99 give me a 2% chance at those mittens I want).
It's unreasonable to expect all this information up-front (i.e., before the game launches), but as a consumer, I tend to respect the companies that show respect to me. A game studio that embraced this kind of model and committed to showing these details would go a long way to earning my respect, especially if they did it without being forced by a law.
>I think lootboxes remain a distinct possibility
I think you're downplaying the prevalence of lootboxes in todays AAA games as well as EA's tendencies. They took a "sure thing" like Battlefront 2 and destroyed it by being greedy. Anthem doesn't have Disney to protect it, it's a wholly owned IP that they can do whatever they want with.
>People have made their thoughts clear on the matter, and the developers are watching this subreddit in addition to other places.
Unfortunately its not the developers that get to make that call. The developers don't want to make shitty greedy casino games. I would bet that if you got anyone who worked on Battlefront 2 to talk frankly off the record, they would tell you they are proud of the artistic and gameplay work that was done on the game but disappointed in the project overall because of what the greedy executives made them turn the game into.
We might not have any direct information on Anthem specifically, but between the Battlefront 2 debacle, the Visceral Games closure and what we learned about EA's priorities for game creation (3/4 of the way through this article it says ' “She was giving these massive presentations on the story, themes,” said one person who worked on Ragtag. “EA executives are like, ‘FIFA Ultimate Team makes a billion dollars a year.’ Where’s your version of that?” '), as well as general trends in the industry there is more then enough information out there about EA to make an educated guess as to what the monetization strategy is. Its a pretty safe bet that there will be microtransactions, they will be loot boxes of some kind, and I'd almost be willing to be they will integrated into the main gameplay loop similar to the Eververse in Destiny or the crates in Battlefront 2.
So here are a few things that I expected going into Anthem:
The problem here is not our expectations. The problem here is what Bioware TOLD us to expect. Never once did they say this would be a learning experience for them until AFTER they got our money.

It's called managing expectations. We should not have to change our expectations, it is up to Bioware to manage them just like every other company in this world is expected to do. Under promising then over delivering is an easy way to manage customer expectations. Sure you might not get as many sales initially but if you have something that EXCEEDS the expectations(very easy to do if you manage them right), you will have a much easier time making that up.

To your point about this being Bioware's first time about this game. I've made this point a few times yesterday. Guerilla Games went from FPS to open world action game with nowhere near as much fanfare as Anthem did because they managed expectations. This was a major shift in genre for them and yet they were wildly successful and Horizon Zero Dawn has gone on to become not only the best selling game on PS4 but also the most successful launch of a new IP ever.
https://thenextweb.com/adobe-fundamentals/2019/01/21/decima-game-engine-guerrilla-games/
Honestly, I respect the optimism you have in your opinion here but unfortunately that's not how life works. You don't get to compare a 3 year old game to one that just came out because the average consumer will not. If you want to fairly compare a game with a long development cycle and a company that had little to no expertise in the genre, why not compare Guerilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn to Anthem? It took them 7 years to develop that game. Prior to that, they're claim to fame was Killzone, a first person shooter. Horizon Zero Dawn is the best selling new IP launched on the PS4 EVER. It still hasn't been beaten.

I'll be honest and say that reading this article did trigger me a bit: https://thenextweb.com/adobe-fundamentals/2019/01/21/decima-game-engine-guerrilla-games/

This is how I feel about Bioware right now:

So Thanks but no thanks. Me personally? I'd rather have fun playing a game instead of beta testing for a company. We shouldn't have to do this for ANY game unless you signed up for it.
I believe this game takes place 500+ years after Ayn Rand's "Anthem," and General Helena Tarsis is "the Golden One," who becomes "Gaea." Rand's "Anthem" is an "ode to man's ego. It was not difficult, therefore, to change the working title: to move from 'ego' to 'ode' or 'anthem', leaving the object celebrated by the ode to be discovered by the reader."
Take a look at all the updates that NMS has released since launch, then compare that to all the updates Anthem has gotten since launch.
You can't even compare the two at this point, especially since NMS is still an actively updated game. NMS has had at least 6 substantial updates since February 2020, while Anthem has had 0.
/u/norbakdk /u/Bustacap . Try this guys : Go %USERPROFILE%\Documents\BioWare\ and delete the Anthem folder. Should reset your game settings.
When I had issues with my download speed (literally going to 0 bytes per second for minutes) the thing that worked for me was setting up Origin in R&D mode. Nothing else worked for me, and now it works perfectly, giving me 80 MBps.
I imagine something like that would already be recorded on the PC Gaming Wiki page for The Division; https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Tom_Clancy%27s_The_Division
If anyone does know of a FOV fix for The Division, please update the wiki with information, or let me know so I can.
I'll give you why loot boxes, or "value adds", will persist from a business perspective.
Let's break down the classification of individuals who interact with loot boxes in general estimates. 1% - whales, big spenders 10% - Purchase loot boxes regularly 40% - may purchase a loot box 20% - wont purchase a loot box, but isn't bothered by them. 25% - wont purchase loot box is bothered by them 4% - wont purchase game because of loot boxes The math here doesn't necessarily matter. The only thing that matters is that the 4% category loss is made up for by the 51% of people who will or may purchase a loot box.
Now, this may be shocking, but loot boxes and other value adds probably account for more revenue than box cost. Publishers wouldn't add these in and string them up in their fiscal meetings each year, some individuals spending 15k on value adds, if they weren't a big contribution to their revenue. If you're saying "no way give me a source" https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/09/09/heres-how-digital-revenue-has-benefited-electronic.aspx There is a chart a bit down that shows their addon digital revenue is significantly higher than game download revenue." Caveats being only digital and addons can include more than loot boxes.
However, the industry is moving towards digital being dominant and most addons are like loot boxes, cheap segmented portions of the game a dev can bilk you for easy money.
EAs "shy away" percentage is probably a 51% loss in sales to remove lootboxes, assuming they don't just up the price of those to compensate for revenue loss and stop the facade of pandering to people who don't like them.

yea, im super sick of this. Especially after just finding out Destiny 2 gave less exp than the game showed you in order to slow your progression even more, in hopes of persuading you to buy more shit. https://kotaku.com/bungie-changes-destiny-2-xp-system-after-players-discov-1820728952
This isn't what gaming is supposed to be.. You don't need to lie and cheat players for fucks sake. Make a fucking good product and you'll be rewarded for it. Why is that not fucking enough? You have us playing through your game slow as fuck unless we pay, weak as fuck unless we pay, unable to goto locations unless we pay, can't use this or that unless we pay? What the fuck is next? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR6-u8OIJTE
I swear its like selling lemonade but watering it down to sell more. Who the fuck wants this watered down shit!?
I posted this earlier today. Post was removed. So I'll post this here.

Interesting to see how this plays out and how it will impact (if any) Anthem and other EA titles going forward.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised they did this. I didn't think they had it in them. I really hope they are indeed finally understanding...
I don't mind MTs (micro transactions) when there are vanity items and emotes. IE: non-competitive edge factors.
But I will not support competitive edge MTs (pay to win) regardless of PvP or PvE. It's a cheap tactic to make me feel cornered into purchasing items just so I can compete.
Well, my advice is to take it slow, enjoy the story, do all the sidequests and conversations with Fort Tarsis characters (it pays to often just do a little circuit between missions as many characters have little conversation arcs that can be quite interesting). Don't grind, there's no real reason to have to get all legendary gear because there's no content that's gated for that. So just enjoy the game for what it is.
And when you've done that, grab Warframe and enjoy what's basically Anthem on steroids. Minus the Iron Man part. You can fly on open maps, but Anthem does that bit a little better.
But Fallout 76 still has a road map that they're sticking to. They still have regular updates. They even publish a blog every week talking about what they're working on. And though they had a troubled launch, and still have bugs they're working on, they haven't cancelled all their future update plans in order to work on core problems.
Hello fellow javelin,
Let me give you a bit more detail about this "suitcase full of code" you're refering to.
It's most known as what we call "Git" at work. Here's a brief presentation about this suitcase vendor here : https://git-scm.com/doc .
I'll just give you a bit of insight if you'd like hoping it might interest you even if just a bit. I'm not gonna be long 'bout that so let me give you brief command line to fill your suitcase before flying anywhere.
And with that now you know hiw to fill your pockets full of code. Hope you liked.
More information about suitcases here : https://git-scm.com/docs .
Just Adobe Photoshop. Last time i checked it was £10 a month sub from Adobe.
For a free alternative, you could try GIMP. I'm not sure how it stacks up comparatively these days but again, last time I checked it was pretty damn solid and functionally the same and had the advantage of being free!
Use a wrapper or a steam overlay, the wrapper is great, you can even use the touchpad and configure the lightining.
Steam is also pretty good of a wrapper for DS3 and DS4 controllers, just pick whatever you prefers most.
I play with a PS4 controller wirelessely. You need to use 3rd party tool DS4 windows works great
Make sure you use the forked and updated branch the original dev abandoned it a while ago

Just in case you're not aware. I know it's not native support, but if you're dead set on a DS4 and it isn't officially added, it is an option. I've used this software and an Xbox 360 controller mod to play the Mass Effect series on PC - ME 1 and 2 have no controller support - and it works well.
The Devs wanted to be heard on how mismanaged and stressful it is.. the game is already out nothing we can do now, they have our money.
If we do boycott there is the likely possibility of a shutdown of a studio.. and thus people out of jobs, which we don't want at all.
We can support the Devs that are currently working on Anthem to try and get it better.. by not attacking or bitching about them... the way we communicate with the devs has to change into a welcoming, informative manner on how things could change for the better.
If there bosses can't support them and give them a boost, we can.
Bad PR in Biowares namesake is how to get to them... and how they treat the staff below management, and the awful frostbite tools they have to work with.. and let everyone know they dont give a care about consumers.
Keep sharing The Jason Schreier article everywhere and anywhere and tag bioware everytime.
The Half assed Bioware statement was disgusting.. they didn't even read the article before posting it.
This seems at least somewhat similar to The Old Republic update schedule for content with their Eternal Throne storyline. You can see specific dates for the major patches (the ones with titles are the ones of note) here, but the schedule was fairly consistently about 6-8 weeks per patch. It wild speculation at this point, but if it's a similar 6 week schedule for each "Update" at three updates per act, this would be right around a year's worth of content.
You want a feedback system built into the game? I don't want to type suggestions or feedback using a controller. Also, by opening up things like this to everyone, I think you would probably have a lot of very low effort posts. By having an actual site or something it at least means only people who actually care would have the impetus to find it and use it.
But I definitely agree that reddit is not a replacement for a real feedback system.
I would like a proper avenue for making suggestions or criticising things about the game, whether that is the official forum split into appropriate categories (the official forum currently has no feedback section at all), or a specialised site like red dead online has.
Lots of people have made very good suggestions and criticisms, but I don't feel very good about throwing out suggestions on reddit personally. I feel like they are easily lost in the crowd. It can't be easy to parse a megathread with over 10k replies all on various topics, or thousands of threads, sometimes with vague titles and comments within that venture into many areas. I'd feel better if there was a more organised, official way of giving game suggestions or criticisms. There's not even a feedback section on the official forum, which seems like a misstep. I think this is what organised feedback collection looks like.
Yeah, they put up a road map with a lot of good changes people are looking forward to.
You can check out some of it here:

Whether or not it'll be enough to breathe new life into the game, we'll see.
Quick and dirty since I'm on mobile:
That should be all.
Assuming you have a desktop, I'd verify that your CPU is running with dual-channel RAM. The Memory table in CPUZ is helpful for that https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Aside from that, it all looks pretty good. The game will be more optimized at launch, but I would also make sure you do the following:
1) try running in full screen mode
2) disable any NVIDIA overlays
2) disable origin overlays
And in general make sure nothing else is running on your system while gaming
If people care about English instead of German. Es macht nichts.
In regards to picking your own color scheme, I recommend using the Adobe color wheel and picking the Compound option in the top left and messing with that.
Other unrelated good options for visually appealing color picking are Complimentary, Triad and Monochromatic.
While that's not the specific card you have, that's Nvidia.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/geforce-experience/shadowplay/
If you have the GeForce Experience installed already, you should have it.
You can connect a mouse and keyboard to an Xbox one or you can get one of these
If you have good internet I’d recommend https://shadow.tech/gben/ yeah you gotta pay but it’s definitely worth it and they have nailed game streaming as this would solve your low end system problem whatever you choose have a good day and keep safe bud
call your bank (for the CC attached to your account), make sure the purchase wont go through.
look up your state (or local) laws for refunds. then demand they give a refund as per your local laws. (this might put you on a list though).
if possible never use your real CC online. visit https://privacy.com and generate a virtual credit card where you can set the spend (total/occurring) amount or use the one time use cards (don't use these for hotel/car rental).
Had this issue also today but got some pretty good advice.
Take a look at your network settings, especially the DNS server.
Try refigurate your settings with these
208.67.222.222 - primary DNS
208.67.220.220 - secondary DNS
It's from OpenDNS and a very viable way of preventing crashes like yours.
Do a speed test of your internet connection here--> https://www.speedtest.net/
It should spit out a download/upload of your connection.(make sure your internet is not being used by anything or anyone before doing the test)

Have you submitted a ticket with EA help regarding your game connection issues?
Have you done a database rebuild?

If you suspect it's your net, then do a speed test with https://www.speedtest.net/
Just make sure no one in your house is using the net when you do this test to get an accurate result.
If your speed is good, then give your internet provider a call.

Stick to what? 1 type of missions and 1 stronghold worth playing? Seriously? I will check in May if they release new content. Until then DMC 5, Diablo 1 (It appeared on GOG.com) and at the end of the next week - Division 2
