It is common for expat Sunnis who live in Shia villages to pray in Shia mosques. So I don't think that this will cause any problem but if you don't feel good about that and you want to identify Sunni mousqes then there is an app for that.
Shia mosques normally have a blue plate near the entrance gate. One more thing, you can see this interactive map of Shia Mosques.
Welcome to Bahrain :)
Of course, this is if you've managed to avoid getting arrested for walking around your village before college after getting a 98.8% in high school. Also, even if we don't give you a scholarship, we need to check your loyalties and background first before we allow schools to offer you scholarships. Anecdotally, even if after you get a scholarship and go to university or you're well-off enough/can take a loan out to afford university on your own, by virtue of living in a village you're completely susceptible to getting arrested at any time and pinned with charges in the middle of the semester, essentially flunking out and wrecking your GPA. I've seen this happen in my personal social circles more times than the previous two combined. This on top of all the students who got expelled for political activity outside of school.
The odds are heavily stacked against Shia students to become successful in their lives. Yet, your beloved bougie class still insist that only by their own virtues they got ahead in life and blame the poor people for being 'dumb and lazy' and 'not wanting to work'. I mean somebody has to do the minimum wage jobs and he worked hard to get that high ranking position, right? Unlike those damn poors who keep protesting and blocking roads when he's trying to get to city center, he got educated abroad and got a skilled job. Zain esawoon feehom!
You can only afford to be neutral and/or derisive towards the protests because of the cushion your wealth gives you. Your wealth, more often than not in Bahrain, is strongly linked to your background and family loyalties. Everyone's complicit in this affair.
Rant over
I saved quite a bit of money using an app called Expense Manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.markushi.expensemanager&hl=en
I wrote down literally every expense in order to track my spending. As has been said in this thread, make a budget. This is crucial! I would suggest, depending on how cheap you actually want to live, make a budget that at first seems extreme, and then add a bit more to it to adjust accordingly.
Another tip which in my opinion is extremely important is to have two bank accounts. One for saving and one for spending. It's common that if you have one bank account to lose track of how much money you spent (sometimes even with the app) and over-spend. I would suggest an NBB ta3bi2a for your spending. Transfer the money into the account at the beginning of the month and consider that your only money source. You now have X amount to spend a month - figure it out.
It would help to split the money on a weekly basis so that each week, you can make sure you're within budget. And even then, push yourself more. For example if you decide to live off 50 dinars a month (excluding rent), have your weekly budget as 10 dinars, therefore saving 10 dinars a month if you stick to it. If you saved that 10 dinars, then it is transferred into your next month, as opposed to extra money that you can now spend. Or, if you know there's something you want to buy, you then save for it by saving those 10 dinars each month until you can pay for it. Always try your best to avoid using the saving account.

Sure there is! You can point your phone up in the sky and aim for it.
If you open a Shop and Ship account you can buy from Amazon. It can be shipped to a NY address then to Bahrain. This can open your buying options. 3TB
You can get something like this from Amazon : https://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-AVH-W4400NEX-Multimedia-Resistive-Touchscreen/dp/B07D3CGJL4
I think its a bit pricey since it's from pioneer. It has both Android auto and apples carplay. Once u get it you can get it installed easily from many local car electronic centers. They have spacialized electrictions who can install aftermarket infotainment systems. But don't buy theirs infotainment systems they usually have Chinese stuff which is really bad compared to pioneer and Sony infotainment systems. Hope this help. Feel free to dm me. Locations of car electronic centers where they install aftermarket infotainment systems 😉.
>but I'm sure a bigger reason is to prepare when we run-out of oil.
According to the data that we have, we won't run out of oil anytime in the coming centuries. I also suggest checkout out this book for actual publicity backed data from Patrick Moore, https://www.amazon.com/Fake-Invisible-Catastrophes-Threats-Doom-ebook/dp/B08T6FFY6SIt was a real eye opener in terms of what actually is going on with our planet's climate.
rtx 2060 laptop on amazon for 999$ ( around 400bhd)
I prefer ordering most electronics online. Way cheaper (even with higher shipping cost). Here check this one out on Amazon :
It's BD 34 + 6 shipping. Advanti sells the same one for BD 49 which is nuts, Newegg sells it for 49 shipping and tax included. Prices are crazy here.
Edit: Amazon.ae (UAE) may be cheaper, but they probably wont ship it to Bahrain. Give it a shot.
I looked for one as well, checked a couple pharmacies, but couldn't find it.
I ended up buying this from Amazon:
But with the new shipping & importing fees, this is ridiculously expensive.
Please let me know as well if you find out more.
I used NordVPN and it was pretty trash for me and not worth the money. Besides, PrivateInternetAccess is very well known for keeping you secure and never providing your information over to the authorities/govt, as seen in one of their very famous cases in the US last year.
You're not wrong, even I can't see it on the play store
The message I get is "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server." otherwise, you'll see the page
Anybody knows where I can get those Oscar statues locally in bahrain? I don’t think it’ll arrive in time if I order it online

I stopped using Rain and started using Binance because of a few things:
I'd focus on altcoins, you can make some good gains if you're patient. In my opinion, ETH and BTC are expensive. Yes, you can make some gains but it'll be very small in comparison to looking at altcoins.
For example, I put $100 (~BD38) into BTT (BitTorrent Token) back in late January because I figured BTT would do great seeing that the world still uses BitTorrent & uTorrent. Fast forward today and that investment is ~$400!
My tips as a crypto investor (lol) for the last year:
Uphold https://uphold.com/
It's a multi-asset platform that allows you to buy equities, cryptocurrencies, foreign currencies and metals. You can buy fractional stocks if you have limited resource.
Have u seen project gutenberg?
Alternatively, you can make ur own pdf/txt files and upload (or email, yes email) to your kindle.
To manage ur ebook collection on ur computer or to convert one format to another use calibre https://calibre-ebook.com/
The Pi acts as the media server. You'll be serving the content on the Home Theatre or platform apps which are available on about every console and platform there is. You can easily install netflix alongside the plex app, which is what I have setup right now.
I have Batelco. Saw this post, tried Netflix https://fast.com pulled 140Mbps. I have no complaints with Batelco after awful experiences with Viva and Zain. It's more costly but you get a consistent speed. Same story with the Home Fiber.
Check your area coverage, might be shite with one company but better with the other.

I have one thing to add about VPNs actually. I have 3 VPNs and the only one that works with netflix is NordVPN and u can use pewdiepie’s discount code to get a reduced price for 3 years or something. Good luck on your move here!
I have no idea where to find it in bahrain, but US amazon delivers it to bahrain.

Get this on Amazon I bought this last year and had no issues with it at all! Plus you can connect it on android which I haven’t tried yet
Found this on amazon, 196bhd including shipping. Check the specs ( no warranty and stuff)
OnePlus 6 A6000 64GB/6GB Mirror Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DCB61LG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_7oBnCb4DC8F1N
I think.. The Walking Dead... but there's more than one.. but looking at my app history.. it looks to be one of the 'The Walking Dead' apps... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nextgames.android.ourworld&hl=en
You won't face any issues. however, try finding the case from here as the case shipping usually a lot more expensive than the case it self. I also noticed that the price for the HDD is not that much cheaper than the 2TB faster variant($54.99) so it might be worth the extra ~2BD to double the storage.
I bought this aftermarket one to replace my dead surface charger. Still going strong after almost two years of abuse.
PoderCamino 15V 6.33A 120W Power... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CWCNNRB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Amazon usually delivers thing within 10–12 days these days
If you just want to soften the water in your shower and nothing else, I would consider a product like this sold on Amazon
The EVGA FTW edition is a decent price on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GAI64GO/
Will come to just under BD230 with shipping. Not a bad deal at all.
Get me this. I lost the one that I downloaded 7 years ago and there isn't any decent pirate who would upload it again :( They lack taste. Anyway, as you are at it, you could get me a new sound system. Frozen DVD is stuck inside mine :(. Thank you sir, thank you.
Basically a minified version of a computer chair that can be carried around with ease, something akin to this.
