To all those saying your jobs will be shipped abroad, please read the Developer Coefficient report by Stripe.

Software engineers are huge force-multipliers for businesses. Fears of shipping jobs elsewhere are premature IMO.
Goggles meant for competitive swimming aren’t ideal. Go with a wider style like outdoor triathlon style goggles .
I used to be a competitive swimmer for nearly a decade and found that spit is the best for anti fogging, but if you aren’t going into a pool that’s kinda gross. I’d recommend jaws quick spit antifog spray.
There are some products that anecdotally seem to help with the pain from injections. One example is a shot blocker, which is basically a spiky plastic pad; the idea is that it stimulates the nerves of your skin, distracting you from the actual injection. Another idea is to use topical anesthetics, but those take time to work.

I'm sure there's something similar for iPhone.
I did the same search and can only find connection flights (2 stops) via Qatar.
Also tried a Google flights search and cannot find direct flights.

Anyone want to participate in a documentary?
I'm a documentary filmmaker creating a feature length film composed entirely of community video submissions submitted daily as the COVID-19 pandemic progresses. We are looking for people (anyone!) to submit daily or at least frequent short videos documenting and discussing their lives during this pandemic. Everyone is in this together but experiencing so many different things, so we want to use the power of cell phones and the internet to create a global picture of how humans are fighting and coping with COVID-19.
More about the film via our sign-up page: https://airtable.com/shrMT5PyLJ8QpDFJR
PLEASE feel free to ask questions, I want to be transparent. I may not be prompt, but I will answer any questions I can. We have applications in with the International Documentary Association for fiscal sponsorship, and have a pending application for a National Geographic COVID-19 journalism grant.
My heart goes out to everyone fighting this; we're in this together.
Another option is to use masks that tie behind your head, instead of ones with ear loops.

My assertion: Your silly ass needs to invest in one of these because that's about as good as all of your assertions are.
> I acknowledged the effectiveness of early lockdowns in early 2020. That cannot be replicated anymore.
Why? Are people goin to break down the doors of Walmart and re-open the store guerilla style?
> Look at Melbourne
No, look at Canada. Specifically, Ontario.
I prefer a map although Johns Hopkins keeps locating US states off the west coast of Africa. This is eminently more readable though. https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6
Anyone want to participate in a documentary? We surpassed 100 participants last week, and we're looking for more!

So far we've had a lot of positive feedback about the process and many have found it therapeutic in these times.

I think it would be reasonable for anyone to insist that a guest be vaccinated. But especially in your case -- I'm no doctor, but I expect your treatment would compromise your immunity? It's incredible that your father doesn't see it that way.
None of the following should be construed as medical advice, just describing things you might look into:
Are you able to get your hands on COVID-19 rapid tests? While they are said to be less reliable than the full PCR tests, producing more false negatives, they are believed to be reliable at detecting if someone is currently contagious, if used correctly. I did a quick search on Amazon.ca and saw this product. Not an official recommendation for this particular product, I was just quickly assessing whether it's practical to get obtain such tests right now.
Put your health first, and I hope you make a full recovery!
>”It makes my ears sore as fuck”
I found using an adjustable mask strap extender took care of that and also helped get a better fit with masks that don’t have adjustable ear loops. The ones I use look something like this.
I almost never leave the house. I'm 65 with other risk factors.
But I sew and have been making masks for family members. So I made some for myself because I knew I would have to go out sooner or later. The first time I wore one was when I went for a blood test in August. I felt like I was being smothered and almost had a panic attack (I am typically short of breath even without a mask), But I muddled through and managed to have the blood test, but taking the mask off when the person drawing blood left the room.
After that I noticed there were patterns on Youtube for masks that are easier to breath in because they don't touch your mouth as much. I also noticed on Etsy people were selling masks made out of Liberty cotton lawn, a very soft, light weight fabric (but with a high thread count). So I made myself a mask out of cotton lawn (2 layers) in one of the "easy breath" patterns and I was able to tolerate it for a doctor's appointment, and today to get a flu shot.
I also bought some of these:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08GZ3RL1D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You can put them under your mask and they hold it away from your mouth and nose. I have found this helpful.
If you want I could make you a cotton lawn mask and send it to you, along with one of the things to wear under it (they are soft silicon). I had to by a bunch of them when I got them from Amazon.

There is also "Maple" which is now covered by OHIP (if you're in Ontario), but only for Covid-19 advice. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maplenativeuser
I was talking to somebody about that today, they think TP is selling out because when SARS happened, China ran out of TP because they import TP. So apparently everyone who experienced that is buying up TP, and then everybody else see that and they go buy TP.
This is the theory the person I was talking to had, not my explanation. When I was stockpiling I did not stockpile TP, but I did buy extra Kirkland flushable wet wipes which I've been using which most people don't seem to know about (it's superior to TP). Also in a thread about TP hording somebody linked an easy add on bidet on Amazon (just watch the video, it's so simple), so I order one of those too and it's already arrived. LOL, so I'm fine for TP if that is an actual future problem.
