You want pepper gel specifically. It's easier to aim and doesn't blow back at you. This version is also slim carry.
You use "deck protectors" or "anti sink gaskets" or they really call them a bunch of things. It's kinda annoying. Here's one that I found really quick. There's a bunch of different styles.
I can see it being smoother because of the cushion but personally I like a firmer, flatter sole like Vans so I can feel the board better.
I’ve also been trying out these thin-soled running shoes by Vivobarefoot and am digging the extra control you get, you feel a little more connected to the board.
how about standard shooting/safety glasses?
They are about 150-200 lumens (they claim a max of 450 but its no where near that) which isnt very bright but for $15 you can't go wrong. Its held down strong with some super glue and duct tape.

i used this tool to scour for OneWheel on craigslist.com https://ifttt.com/
then 1 day, someone posted a barely used OW+ for $600. i showed up to check it out and it only had total 2 miles on it and looking brand new. unbelievable. the man said his son barely used it and it has to go. i paid the man $600, thanked the man, and went on my way.
this thing is truly incredible. and i can see the hype is justified. the huge wheel can power over any dirt, gravel, and cracks. easily my preferred mode of transportation while my Meepo is collecting dust.
There's a lot of different places you can buy it from. Acton's main website, their FB store, Walmart, etc. Here's a link I just found on Walmart for $299 bundled w/ a helmet.
Guys It works. I'm 205 and was getting max 15mph. After doing this I was hitting 19mph. Yes its a KooWheel but it has been holding up for weeks now. For under $600 you really can't beat it. I did 9 miles here in NYC and still had juice left. It's getting great reviews online and popularity is growing. Do it! https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Newest-Design-4-Wheel-Electric-Longboard-Dual-Hub-Motors-Boosted-Board-Wireless-Remote-Control-Speed-Skateboard/610594_32759091640.html?spm=2114.8147860.0.0.hbpN1S

drilled one into the board tonifht using standard hardware.
result: not bad! going to get some shorter hardware and clean up the lines but works well for short distances and preferred to a kayak handle!
You’re going to want a bearing puller with really slim jaws. Do not pry unless you find a way to leverage off the wheels not the windings. Wd40 won’t help because it is formulated to displace water. Get a penetrant for stuck bolts. Heat would be great but it would probably melt the varnish on the windings.
Here’s what you’re looking for. Thin jaw puller:

Just a PSA that headlamps are way cheaper than shredlights and will actually help you see. Plus they won’t vibrate off your helmet and an included red safety light on the back will be much more visible to cars
I didn't start carving until I got an e-skate with street wheels. For AT, I just roll over everything in a direct line, but for street wheels, I find myself carving to dodge those road obstacles, sticks, and rocks. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY ROCKS ON THE ROAD!
Anyways, have you tried a surf skate adapter? It's on sale right now.
I was looking at these Army surplus 120mm mortar boxes which I think are just about the right size for a skateboard. They could maybe do the trick.
Lol this reminds me: if you got a Bluetooth speaker while you ride, you can get an app that makes different engine sounds based on your phones accelerometer. It was made for bike riders but it works while riding a board too. (Obv don't need a bluetooth speaker but it does sound better)

I love this Giro Quarter helmet. It has a hard plastic outer shell. They even make a winter version with fabric over the ears.

basically look for 10/32 in the special nut section...
mine where 4 for 8 of them
amazon is asking 13-14 usd for 25 of them?
I did it all by hand with a hot glue gun in case that was evident! I used these lights:

I would suggest a downhill mountainbike/bmx full face helmet. Lots of cheap options on Amazon. They breathe better, are lighter and have a slimmer profile. Also, you look less like an insane person with a gigantic head.

I use these tornado U-Hooks. The grip tape faces outwards but it's really not a hassle. Just command strips the charging brick right under them and wrap the cord around the U hook and it's a nice little charging system.
Here is what they look like. They held up a fully kitted onewheel XR, Ranger X2, and X1 without any issue so they should work with whatever board you want to put on them lol. https://imgur.com/LTpAsys
So the first time I went out on my flex, I fell and damaged my remote. Thus I was looking to get a cover on it to protect it from further damage and make it look better in the mean time.
And heat-shrink tubing is a great fit! I used a 80mm tube and cut it a little bit too short, make sure you have some extra on both ends.. Then you heat it with e.g. a blow dryer until it's completely tight. Then with a sharp (Stanley) knife cut out the screen, charger port and throttle. Done in 10min.
The tube is available in many different colours online and in your electronic shop. So don't be afraid to go crazy!
A version of tubing you could buy, just find something without text on it. (Unless you think it's cool ofcourse) https://www.amazon.com/Welldoit-Internal-Diameter-Sleeving-Shrinkable/dp/B0732NHQC6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=heat+shrink+tubing+80mm&qid=1595139181&sr=8-1

We were using it for iOS, but looks like they got their act together and released an Android version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skydio.release
Falling correctly is obviously a big part of reducing damage and wearing a typical wrist guard would minimize damage more than these gloves. I've got both these guards and I wear the killer only while practicing tricks on my regular skateboard. They are way too cumbersome when I'm going to and from classes and carrying stuff. The 2 pucks on the flatland are angled in such a way that falling straight down gets translated into a horizontal sliding motion to minimize wrist damage. I've fallen once going 16 mph and I did not injure my wrists or palms. Most of the damage gets transferred to the elbow region and I always wear pads for that.
Then again I've only got a Mini S so you might want to look for better protection if you're going much faster.
you don't need to change baud rate for the VESC MONITOR app. please note there are multiple apps for vesc. METR is different from VESC MONITOR.
I'll keep looking at the wheel. I think it's just on there really tight. With enertion the drive system wheel pully comes off of the truck - so you could take it off the truck then extract the wheel pully from the back of the wheel, which was what I was expecting but wasn't the case here. This is a guess, but I think the wheel pully is attached to the truck so it's awkward getting enough leverage to pop the wheel out.
The phone app is really easy to use. This is the one I use: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ackmaniac.vescmonitor
The only other indicator is low voltage cutoff (33v) where the board will start outputting less power. I haven't hit that yet, but from my experience with other boards the lowered performance is noticeable. When it happened with my other board it meant I had 1-3 miles left. When it's triggered on this board there's about 5-10 miles left in the pack since this pack is so big which is plenty for me to get home. This can be tuned.
That being said, riding from a full state to depletion on this board would be a helluva endurance run.

I dont really have an answer for your decision, having never used a wowgo, but i have recently just bought a secondhand v1.
I managed to get mine for £520 with a spare charger and some screws and some belts. So I mean its not crazy overpriced with a helmet and case it's just whether you need those bits or want to buy separately.
I bought my V1 before the announcement that they were going to stop servicing, and it is a real shame - however the cost of shipping it over to the states anyway would be a fair whack anyway. The problem will be as another poster says, if something goes, you are then stuck - does the wowgo support offer you that peace of mind? maybe something to consider
Do you know how many miles it has done? The app should say, mine had about 700 which i thought for a v1 was reasonable. You should be able to ask them to check.
In response to other points in the thread about the price, yes £600 is like $800 dollars, and that is overpriced for the US secondhand market, but here a used v2 will cost from £950-£1,200, so around $1,279-$1,600 which is a lot pricier than youd expect. Certainly for a v2 you'd have to shell out another £300
I live in a small town and havent had a problem with my yuneec ego or the boosted. The previous owner of my boosted who did 700 miles lived in London, so I dont think the wheels will be an issue, you could always just switch them out.
So far I really like my v1, but that is moving from an ego-1 which is very slow. The problem is the distance, which is an issue if you want to take long rides. I cant speak for the wowgo so maybe someone else can help there
v2 price examples in the UK: gumtree, £1,000 ebay, £950
I've been talking to these guys about moving their crazy open source helmet personal assistant to being bone conduction. It's pretty ridiculous but the helmet project is pretty far along and open sourced over here.
So like this: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/bEaR6bkhdoS-evolve-skateboard-belt-hub
But with correct dimensions. I'll have to take the wheel off and measure everything.
This is how I got it to work. And when I say work, I mean 'kick ass'.
I've had quite a good rapport with Slick Revolution and managed to get hold of a second motor/mount and an additional ESC (same as stock).
Since the motor is mounted opposite to the stock one, it needs to turn the other direction. I achieved this (by sheer fluke) by switching the black and red around on the 3 motor cables. I also had to switch them on the 5 wire Hall sensor cable. These cables had to be extended with some soldering and heat shrink.
I'd already decided I wanted to keep the stock housing so i needed to squeeze in the second ESC. Basically, I sandwiched the two ESCs together with a thinner aluminium heatsink in between (the stock heatsink is too thick to use with two ESCs).
Both ESCs are connected to the battery and run independently. They have independent RF receivers too.
Suffice to say, it's been a success. Top speed is about the same (read: plenty) but acceleration and high climbing has increased significantly. Dual diagonal, to me, beats dual rear, giving added traction.
It has awesome acceleration torque and stopping power. With the second motor, I can go up much steeper hills and the braking power is really strong, maybe too strong when in fast mode! I tend to ride in the slower setting mostly for say, popping uphill to the Co op! If i'm riding on a flat, I'll switch it to fast mode.
It's definitely taken it to another level, but requires a new way of handling as the brake needs to be eased a lot more gently.

Just yesterday I replaced the grip tape on my Ownboard Bamboo AT with standard grip tape on top of this stuff. I like it so far, but not a huge difference.
If you are concerned with no softness, add your own foam.
[Foam Insulation Tape self Adhesive
Remove the elastic band, screw the headlight mount to the board, Veclcro battery pack to the board. Puts shred lights to shame. Bonus points if you add a voltage step down and wire the light directly to the battery. Cheers.
I bought this cross body sling pack for carrying gear and water while I ride. Absolutely love it, and it’s pretty comfy and super lightweight with good storage options:

You may be able too find it a little cheaper elsewhere, but looks like the price went up bout $20 since I've ordered. Definitely get a scale if you don't have one. Mixing by weight is the way to go, mix by volume isn't accurate enough and can end up with resin that won't cure. Hit me up with any questions, and/or head to freesk8 forum, there is a couple really good tutorials(and I'm/others are there to help)

I am using the Insta360 one R with the 360 mod lens. Its alot of work to put together a video, but it's worth it once it's all done. 😊
I fell and broke my lens on my 1st insta360 camera and replacement lenses are completely sold out, so I had to buy another insta360 camera. But glad I did. This time I got insurance just in case I fall again and break this one.
Its an AWESOME camera.

Might want to check the dimensions of your charging port but this is typically the standard one most bords have
You can use these bumper guards (cut in half) on the sides where you front toes and heel would be. I did it temporarily, and it does give you more leverage, but I'm not sure if it will work with those kinds of trucks.
oh they came with the board?! i thought BF was putting the T on all of their "premium" boards? i have some gold ones coming in from some company on amazon, same design as yours, to tie it in to the gold V on the underside.
again, there is so much potential here and i can't believe nobody has thought to do more with them...
edited to add: choose your color
I use a head light thing I bought from amazon. It has a XHP70 led bulb so its super super bright. about as bright as a car headlight. it was $30 so its probably a knock off xhp led but its still bright. heres the link. I highly recommend it for night riding. https://www.amazon.com/Garberiel-Rechargeable-Headlight-Waterproof-Batteries/dp/B07YQK5TH1/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=garberiel+xhp70+light&qid=1612040097&sr=8-3
I got a 1Storm Dual Sport Motocross helmet for ~$65.
I love the flip down inner sun visor (no more awkwardly trying to squeeze sunglasses next to cheek pads), as well as the visor/peak (helps a ton when riding directly into the sun). The quick release/ratchet strap improves the convenience factor WAY more than I expected (compared to a double D ring setup).
The clear visor would fog pretty badly when I got it, but I didn’t seem to need it as much as my previous motorcycle helmet. It also seems to work just fine lately when I actually need it, so I can’t really complain much.
It’s very cheaply made, but feels solid enough. And makes me feel like a fighter pilot, which obviously adds +5 to eskate skills. (Just don’t try to remove the peak or clear visor if you can avoid it - two of the 3 flanged nuts that the plastic attachment screws connect to were not well attached/molded and it was an absolute bitch to reassemble).
Be sure to check your measurements - this particular helmet’s sizes are one smaller than normal (ie I’m usually a Large, but an XL here fits perfectly).
This looks like a reasonable solution to me: https://www.amazon.com/SKATE-Snatch-Compact-Skateboard-Lock/dp/B0856TKTV6
Still with what I said in mind.

I hate padding up so getting shit that doesn't make you look like a douche helps.
I hate to be a pessimist, but I don’t think a rider will be heavy enough to make those screws aggressive enough. You may consider trying stainless steel spikes like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PIWIPJI/
I’ve used them in prints and they work great

Just received one of these, http://www.overade.com/shop/en/ No complaints thus far. It fits well, for me at the 54-58cm, comes with some extra pads incase it is too large. Solid construction feels good. Not cheap, but better than $400. Best price Ive seen was on Amazon around $99 https://www.amazon.com/Overade-Foldable-Folding-Bicycle-Helmet/dp/B00TA4TF6M
I'll be sure to link the video in this post as soon as I get some decent footage. I also purchased another relatively unknown board off amazon which should be here tomorrow for the same price. This board however claims dual 350watt motors(700w total) with the same battery capacity but a lower voltage/topspeed of 29.4volts/12.5mph. Board is shorter at 32" and with smaller diameter wheels but should have much more torque to get me up the hills without embarrassment.
Coming from personal experience, yes it works, although maybe not the one you linked.
This one charges my stary board just as fast as a wall outlet: link
I think the stary is 4400mah or so, and this claims to be 24000mah, but in reality it almost completely drains the portable battery to fully charge the stary, with almost nothing left over.
I use it when I don't have an outlet, like you are saying. Normally when on the train or when I'm walking around. I love it. I got it for much cheaper than the amazon price tho.
Looks amazing
Reminds me of the sector 9 field bag
Had my eyes on it but they discontinued them

For anyone who's not familiar with diyeboard, there have been some posts here (I don't know if the info has been verified) that said they are the manufacturer of components for Meepo and Wowgo boards, and diyeboard's complete electric skateboards for sale online are their attempts to move into direct retail.
Something worth considering - I didn't find any reviews of the Scorpio II, but did find Amazon reviews on the Skatebolt. Now these could be reviews of the same board, or they could be reviews of a different board that uses the same enclosures/deck but different internal parts like ESC (the guessing game of murky Chinese supply chains). The motor wheels look the same though, and a few reviews mention rapid wear on hub wheel urethane.
Holy crap, matte black is sick! Thanks for the link. Is there any way to remove the green lining though? I'd like it in all black like in one of the customer pics. Also, I found this motorcycle/street bike helmet off amazon, but I read that motorcycle helmets are usually not preferred for eboarding. Any idea why? https://www.amazon.com/ILM-Motorcycle-Street-Helmet-Removable/dp/B01HEHOCAK
your belts will not need to be replaced every few days. Something must have gotten inside the cover and tore that belt up.you can get belts on amazon prime in 2 days for like 17 bucks or order them from www.vbeltguys.com for like 3 bucks each but shipping wont be as fast as amazon. Sucks that you lost a belt so quickly but it is surely just bad luck. order some spares and you will be good to go.

Edit: added direct purchase links for you.
You can use a guitar stand to prop it up in a corner. I got one from Amazon for around 8 bucks, although it seems to have gotten a bit more expensive. Fit my Ownboard W1 without doing anything to the stand itself. I also think it's a pretty awesome way to display your board at the same time :D.
I just used this led strip from amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01EMHJNWC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I taped that down, and the rear cable connected to your ordinary phone external battery bank which was in my pocket (considered putting it on the tail but thought vibrations might break it).
I also can't vouch for the led strip i linked, because it somehow snapped a bit (while it was inside my computer), and can no longer use green or white as colours :'(
If you just want the kit with gears, trucks, and wheels, it's this one: https://diyelectricskateboard.com/collections/featured-items/products/dual-motor-mechanical-kit

I guessed that much already. Making something just to make it isn’t very good for business or the consumer. I’d rather see you identify a problem and solve that problem.
The bag to me seems made with the idea to carry a board but little understanding of the people actually riding the boards and when/why they might want to put it in a bag or carry it.
This is nothing more than a snowboard bag, which you can buy for $30 on amazon.
The difference. A snowboard bag is designed to protect your snowboard and wax during traveling, hotels, airplanes etc. And doesn’t need to protect wheels, motors, electronics, trucks, batteries etc. during transport. You don’t use your snowboard while it’s in a bag and don’t snowboard around carrying the bag either.
A snowboard bag works for electric longboards, but isn’t optimal, it could be improved to be optimal, which would be really cool. But your bag doesn’t attempt to solve the needs of electric longboards.
I could order a nice padded snowboard bag, with wheels and straps for this same cost with free same day shipping on amazon.
As far as I’m concerned, this is your competition at that price point. Demon Phantom Fully Padded Travel Snowboard Bag with Wheels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NO4PFAE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_j2nLBbZSQ4WWC
Anyways it seems poorly priced, designed, and not thought out for electric longboarder needs.
TeamGee looks like your best option from amazon. Link Besides TeamGee and Boosted, all the other boards are basically Chinese rebrands that probably aren’t worth buying.
Seems like an interesting build, but isn't it a bit much? Whatever happened to putting $10 Picatinny rails on your board and sliding on a $30 pistol light? It works amazingly well. Heck, order it from Amazon, try it, and return it if you don't like it. It's worth it if it'll save you all that time for building that for nothing.
Cool idea, but this is a heck of a solution to come to when the problem boils down to "it's too dark out." You're overthinking it.
Grab some proper wrist guards off amazon, they're super cheap and will pay for themselves the first time you fall: https://smile.amazon.com/Roller-Support-Protection-Safety-Protective/dp/B017LXN046/ref=sr_1_83?keywords=wrist+guards+adult+under+15&qid=1562366052&s=gateway&sr=8-83
100mm hubs, you go with 100mm front wheels right?
Well , meepo is sold out of 100mm front wheels.
But They do have 97mm front wheels for $38.00 .
They also recommend upgrading the front truck to a 265 mm truck, which is ALSO sold out .
So I did the math and went with the Cal7 97mm wheels instead .https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0752XBFLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They are only $33.99 for a set of 4 .
And 97x52mm instead of Meepos 97x56 , slimmer Wheel so upgrading the truck is not an issue anymore .
They fit and ride great . No regrets .
Hope this helps anyone upgrading from 90mm to 100mm hubs .
I found this but it looks weak. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G33GGHQ

I use a clip-on cap light for my full face helmet with a visor:
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07CM8ZGGY/ref=dp_prsubs_2
Just had to add a layer or two of electrical tape around the area that clip goes on, so that it won't slide around because it's plastic on plastic. Hands down the easiest helmet light solution available if you've got a visor.
There's a clip on my flashlight and i just clip it to one of the band on my pad. I just grabbed some of these cable clips and stuck them onto the underside of the board next to the trucks. It actually looks pretty nice tbh. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PG8CR1V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_KEPCFbDF94H73
Pepper Gel. I can nail a guy at 6 feet with it. Maybe even 10. This is my prefered unit as its the smallest container available that actually functions. You can also get it with a belt clip instead, just make sure its the Gel version.
If they look like this, it will most probably work.

You can try searching for RC7 electric skateboard remote. Or you can also try lingyi remote but some of them maybe newer and the riptide esc may not support them.
Light has a built in accelerometer. Once you pick up the board, the light goes on. It’s bright even for day light visibility.
And on board braking the accelerator turns the light solid and even brighter.

Depends what size cloud wheels you get. I've seen people say they don't notice much of a difference between 97 and 105 mm. I personally don't recommend 120 because you lose alot of torque.
As for pads, if your new to skating in general, I definitely recommend elbow, knee pads and gloves/wrist guards. I don't use wrist guards because I was worried about the plastic getting in the way of the remote. The gloves below are the ones I use. They fit with a boosted remote. Not sure about the backfire remote with the ring (zealot remote).

If you live in a place with alot of cars on the road and that you're going to be riding alongside them definitely get a full face helmet.
Helmet: ruroc is a good brand.
Enjoy your board and be safe while riding. Don't be a dumbass like me and full throttle on a mini board day one while having 0 skate experience and wiping out.
There great, they do hurt after a while because of the vibration so I added this to it and it makes all the difference in the world ! Way more confident going 28+mph with toe stops
Get a neckband speaker like this one
One of the best purchases I've made ever. You can listen to music and still be aware of everything around you.
I got it off of amazon, here is the link. They have different widths. The 1/2 inch is what I used. They have lots of colors! If I have trouble with it coming off unreasonably soon I’ll post it here and whatever my solution is.

The foam ones I buy from Amazon makes a big difference and doesn't scratch up your car and house when moving your boards around. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H2H2C1T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LuHsFbZ8EABXP
I ordered the Koowheel skateboard lights off amazon after really finding no good solution and not surprisingly they already broke. Just don’t do it. I really want a sleek way to have bright underside mounted lights on my skateboard that can be removed and charged but other than shred lights which cost an arm and a leg, I don’t know where to look. I’m down to a DIY solution but without proper instructions I don’t think I would be able to myself. Does anyone have a good solution?
honestly, you can get grip tape cleaner at your local skate shop. but can also get them on amazon. you can also get the can air compressor at like an office depot or staples

No.
But instead I'll just link you to the Amazon listing for the item. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GNPXJ26/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_.OGQEb5Z06NDV
It is a bracket that holds it's own tool so I can take it off and put it on with ease as I please.
