Price on Amazon for the TMX has been varying from £119 to £149 over the past few days, this is your best option for the price bracket and is what I will be purchasing shortly!
The Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 wheel is a good entry-level option based on the reviews I've been able to find. A bit cheap-feeling but usable. If you're willing to shell out a little more, I just bought a Thrustmaster TMX and I'm quite happy with it! It looks like it's out of stock at Amazon right now, though, so I'm not sure if it's getting discontinued or something...
What country are you from? The F1 game website takes you to a retailer site anyway. Try find a retailer in your country that you can purchase it from. If you can't find one, try ordering it from Amazon.
Unfortunately no! You can preorder on steam now but nothing yet on amazon/gamestop.
You can add a reminder on this page:

This is the closest to any evidence of F1 2019 on amazon US I have found
I beta tested the Sim Racing Telemetry app and its pretty decent to keep track. It wont show you the best all time (as far as I know) but it can store a lot of sessions and you can compare a metric shit ton of data.

They also have an Apple version, just cant find it right now. And they're working on a desktop version.
While I do agree with him, this book can serve as a VERY valuable gift. It's an autobiography of the guy who is considered as the legend for bringing about the revolution that ultimately led to f1 cars looking like the way they do today.
It is this one on amazon
i own this wheel, perfect entry level for f1. i recommend keeping an eye on the FF levels as the motors inside can get pretty warm. Also, bought this for a better expereince with the F1 games and havent looked back since. Designed for the G29
Yeah, I'm manually shifting. I'm using the G923 wheel. I do have ABS and medium TC enabled. I will give it a go without any assists in F1 2022.
I bought one of these a year ago. I’m a big dude. Think like NFL linebacker size and it holds me just fine. It can switch between GT and open wheel configurations which means you can use it across multiple games. Bought this and have been very surprised with the sturdiness and comfort. Decided on this over play seat challenge and I’m glad I did. Only downside I would say is that with wheel and pedals attached, it does fold up pretty well, but it’s heavy and awkward to move around with everything attached so not really a move it back and forth between rooms kind of thing.

So another thing I found to act as sort of a training wheel if the method /u/adammcx described doesn't feel right for you is the Kontrolfreek Speed Freek Apex. Unfortunately I don't think they're made anymore but I used it for a while and it helped train my brain/hand to make fine lateral moves. So if you can find one I highly recommend trying it, at the time I think it was like $5 or something.
Ive got one of those normal car wheel stands (like this but different brand https://www.amazon.com/VEVOR-Steering-Logitech-Thrustmaster%EF%BC%8CWheel-Included/dp/B077PZKNDH) and a g920 and have been trying to get good at not using assists/traction control but it just seems impossible after so many time trials not being able to get it down. Is it because of my setup or have people gotten really fast on trash setups and I am just not grinding enough? Basically hoping I dont need to spend 5k on a sim to get good lol.
also new to this subreddit hope i didnt mess something up L
If you're staying under $500, I'd recommend a g920 or a g923. The motor is identical (don't let logitech fancy branding confuse you), you're basically just paying for the buttons.

With that said, if you're a big F1 fan and want an F1 wheel, thrustmaster sells this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08WVF3SB4/ref=twister_B09FPV99PQ?_encoding=UTF8&th=1. If you're interested I can put together a pedal/wheelbase set with this for you.
I bought the game here for 36€. Instant key :) Also if it's your first time buying on that page they give you 2€ for signin up (a little more if you like their fb and twitter page) https://www.instant-gaming.com/en/1469-buy-key-steam-f1-2016/?igr=gamer-d6b497
I just fixed an issue where F1 2020 (among other games) would not launch from Steam. Have you tried downloading Visual Studio and the supporting files? Steps below:
Extra Infomation about the video.
Unfortunately my friend a tv stand will not due. This was my thought at first as well. My tv stand was kinda going with me as I turned so I didn’t have much confidence to actually ‘drive’
I ended up buying the one in the link. But just searching racing wheel stand on Amazon I think there are better options in the 80-90$ range

However, note that I switched the bases with my other mount (the one that holds the two bottom monitors) I needed the Lenovo monitor to sit higher and the other base was nearly double in height.
Get the ferrari wheel the red one it's about 100 usd new and 50 second hand. Great entry level wheel. I got that one and I I happy with it. Works on pc and Xbox. this one
If you want a budget wheel this one is the one I am using, I am also new to racing Sims and I also wanted to have it on a budget, it's legit decent entry level wheel, and I am enjoy it.
Re your last question, yes you can, exactly what I am doing while trying to build by own chair (and it is taking much longer than I expected and will take longer lol)
I just got my first wheel (G29) and it is an entirely different game now. If you are willing to spend a bit more, I also recommend getting a wheel stand if you aren't going with a cockpit seat.

Thats for android, not sure if its on app store. Do note the free version is quite limiting as you can only have 3 pieces of info at once. But you can customize the layout however you like
I used to use it to track time gap between driver infront/behind

I use the tall convex option. They do detach from the toggle (Xbox) if you push them too hard, so would recommend some better ones:

I bought it earlier this month, about $1500.
I once played F1 2015 with this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jd.simwheel
Should definitely work for F1 2019 as well, however keep in mind, this is only for PC and not something you can do on Console. Its not that bad of an experience but not too great neither. Try it

It’s something like this. There’s a small chance that the static build up on your body can cause damage components like the motherboard and graphics card but this will prevent that!
was thinking of getting this wheel
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unamedia.srt Not got 2019 yet and it isn't free but this is a good option. Better googling it. If literally all you want to do is look at your brake pressure, you could just look at the speedo.
That's the Openwheeler Gen 2. Thanks.

The G29 was going for $217 on Amazon as of 2 days ago
The G920 is for Xbox/PC and the G29 is for PS4/PC
Are you in germany?
I found this ^
For US I could only find it for preorder on steam. I guess the preorders on amazon US go up late as the demands is not very high here. I too am waiting for it to show up on amazon as I would prefer to get a disk version.
Oh good idea about reconfiguring the way you operate the HUD, I might have a go at that myself! That would make life easier.
I believe you can get replaceable wheels for Thrustmasters?
Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Add-On Wheel (PS4, Xbox One, PC & PS3) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005PPOBQE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_o8lOCbNKFZKK4
I’d love a wheel but to mount it correctly takes a lot of space, which I don’t think my partner would approve of :’)
Great. Not sure how much you know already so excuse me if i'm preaching to the choir:
Fiddle with your deadzones so that you have more trigger travel to play with. Helps with modulating the brakes and feathering the throttle.
You can brake pretty hard with ABS disabled before lockups occur. Brake hard at the beginning of your braking phase and roll off the brakes as you get to your turning-in point.
Easy on the throttle out of traction zones, especially in the wet. If you feel/hear wheelspin short-shift your gears to stabilise the car (especially so in the wet).
Sometimes a downshift or a lift is better than braking depending on the corner (looking at the entry to the hotel complex at Abu Dhabi for example).

It isn't horrifically expensive, and it's probably the best cheap (ish) wheel you can buy
For me, force feedback is an absolute must, it makes driving so much more immersive. You could find a decent wheel for cheaper, but it won't have force feedback.
Apiga is so overpriced. https://www.amazon.com/Steering-suitable-Thrustmaster-Racing-Ferrari-Italia/dp/B00KMI1LGC/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1502560029&sr=1-1&keywords=gt+omega+wheel+stand Gt Omega is almost identical and 110 less. Plus it's upgradeable in that you can get a rear seat mount and a seat and thus make it a real cockpit.
I found this on amazon:https://www.amazon.com/F1-2010-Online-Game-Code/dp/B016ISW7E4/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames-download&ie=UTF8&qid=1499770725&sr=1-1&keywords=f1+2010
But is key code redeemable on Steam or Microsoft?
Game stream telemetry data through UDP, I created an app for showing data. Here you can look at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gokgoz.HUDOne2016
But game doesn't give tyre type, wear or any weather info through telemetry. No other drivers data also. I'll add new feature to do app or develop new one for just reviewing this data. I'm just showing it live in this app but I'll save those data in coming updates to work with. Hope Codemaster update its UDP telemetry thing and gives a little more info to us
