Kingsglaive movie (To understand what happened in Insomnia just after you left. You will learn what happened very early in the game but it will be without any context how it happened) https://www.amazon.com/Kingsglaive-Final-Fantasy-Aaron-Paul/dp/B01GOREHXI
Brotherhood anime (To learn the story behind the characters): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsVhwsUFaDE&list=PLbhHt7tfNMCAhpjJlSh3Rm7KSdcmuzM4m
I would recommend watching the anime and movie before starting to play because it helps to understand better what happened. But you can also play without watching it.
There are no spoilers in the anime and only minor spoilers in the movie that will come out in the game anyway. If you want to go spoiler free. Very early in the story Ignis will deliver a newspaper with some news, thats the point where you could watch the movie.
Edit: If you want the perfect experience then:
It's not true. The Pitioss theory was debunked by Tabata: "When I asked, Tabata shot down that one bonkers theory about Pitioss Ruins’ story, adding that there are aspects of Final Fantasy XV’s background lore that will be explained in future downloadable content. He was amused when I told him they should add more platformer dungeons to the game. “I’m relieved to hear that you liked the dungeon,” Tabata said."

I prefer the implicit storytelling, as well. It has a certain beauty to it, which isn't for everyone. And I also don't care for stories that info-dump for awkward moments.
However, I argue that, based on that quote, Animal Crossing isn't so much utilizing implicit storytelling as it is make-your-own-story (for a lack of a better name). Implicit storytelling tends to mean that the lore is there, you just have to find it. Meanwhile, make-your-own-story tends to mean you're supposed to use create your own lore. And I just don't think FFXV is that kind of game. Animal Crossing is a simulation game while FFXV is a roleplaying game, and role-playing games typically rely on a heavily-developed story and settings.
Instead, I rather use this quote from a developer about Dark Souls about implicity storytelling and gameplay:
> “To make a world seem alive and gripping you have to have the possibility that the player may miss things, big and small,” says Night In The Woods’ Benson. “So many games desperately want you to see everything in them, and that’s fine, but I feel it does a disservice to the experience of exploring a world. The Souls games will let you walk past half of the world, or wander into the darkest places with little warning. That’s a world that feels alive. You can miss so much and that means that finding something—be it a clue about the world, the odd NPC off doing their own thing, a strange little area—means something. It’s beautiful.”
Okay let's get the ball rolling.
Tabata himself said an epilogue DLC is highly unlikely. He implied that their epilogue is not a happy one, however.
There's a pocket version of XV you can download on your phone. You'll have to start from the very beginning of the game, but it's better than nothing right? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.android_google.ffxvpe
Piggyback is doing the FFXV guide, the guides for Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 were by Prima Games. So I don't think they're directly comparable.
Edit: Just checked Amazon and the FFXV guide has 352 pages. You gave the exact number for FFXIII - so why did you lowball the FFXV page count? :/ You're scared by "facts" that are mostly wrong, it seems.
I got them both from Amazon. The regular game OST is cheaper but the second one is an import.
Final Fantasy 15 Original Soundtrack Volume 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078ZY652L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VKouCbJSG8YHQ
Indeed. He had the following to say about the bros:
>“Obviously it’s very hard to pinpoint what exactly makes a certain person or character happy,” Tabata said, speaking through a translator. “The fact that they were a party of four and one of the party is no longer there, it’ll probably be hard to say that they’re fully happy. That said, they needed to do what they needed to do, so they had that sense of purpose. And I’m sure they’re very proud of what they’ve achieved and what they’ve overcome. So in that sense maybe that overlaps with how we feel towards the game itself.”

You'll need PS+ or Xbox Live Gold to play online with folks, but you do not need to play anything else in the game to unlock Comrades - it's available as soon as you purchase +download it (and you get it as part of the Season Pass, if you've grabbed that).
Customization of characters is actually pretty good. I made Adam Jensen and Roy Mustang, for example.
This article shows some good examples: https://kotaku.com/players-are-creating-amazing-avatars-for-final-fantasy-1820548340
It's pretty easy to jump on and play. Bit of a long loading time initially, but play sessions only require one mission at a time - no need for long "dungeon"-esque stuff.
Personally, while I like Comrades, I do not think it's worth buying FFXV just for it. Plus, I far prefer the main game and the "Episode" DLCs - so if you have the game already, I'd recommend giving the original game a shot as well. :)
For this generation. Last generation it was Sony wanting to cross-platform and Microsoft refused to do so. It's a feud as old online gaming.
uh, it's only 10 bucks on amazon.

it's definitely cheap enough that I think most people can afford it?
alternatively, googlefu
If you really want something extra u can just get the deluxe addition off amazon. Its 89.99 or 71.99 if u have prime.
U get one of the steelbooks. Kingsglaive. The dlc sword, the dlc royal costume and the regalia skin. I think those are pretty nice extras for a few buckaros.
Here a link: Final Fantasy XV Deluxe Edition - PlayStation 4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DJPA9YE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ITrfyb717QWJR
You're writing a documentary but you're crowdsourcing Reddit for information? Yikes.
It was at least after the E3 2013 trailer, which was directed by Nomura. It was speculated that real progress began on what we now know as Tabata's FFXV within the year following. It was announced in late 2014 that Tabata had taken over. Episode Duscae followed in March 2015.
Royal Edition, yes.
Royal Edition = base game + season pass + royal pack dlc.
Season Pass alone is $25, Royal Pack DLC is $15 in the US. Royal Edition is...$50 i think? The physical version on amazon is $40 (note that it's base disc + codes for all of the DLC content that are included in it) https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-XV-Royal-PlayStation-4/dp/B0792HGXB7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1531804192&sr=8-1&keywords=ffxv
so for price of the DLCs, you the whole package.
Alternatively you can wait until the next sale, Royal Edition (PSN digital) has been on sale for $25 recently, and also $33ish a couple of times, so you can always wait for the next sale. That would make Royal Edition cheaper than even buying the DLCs.
> Uematsu laughed: It's true that Sakaguchi was going to quit, he said, but the bigger reason, the real reason, was that Square was going to go bankrupt and the designers believed that it would be the company's swan song.
It's also true that Sakaguchi said "any word that started with ‘F’ would’ve been fine," but it's curious why that F word was "Final" instead of, say "Forever Fantasy."
Kingsglaive and Brotherhood tell the story of the events preceding the events in the Final Fantasy XV game. Kingsglaive takes place right before the game and Brotherhood goes into how the main characters all know each other.
Personally, I'd order the steelbook Blu-Ray here at Amazon. The Blu-Ray will offer the highest quality picture and audio over streaming services, though, Vudu's HDX streams are quite good. The steelbook includes Kingsglaive with all the extras and Brotherhood. You can watch Brotherhood on YouTube, if you don't want to pay for it.
well the story was finalized it just needed to be put into full production which didn't happen until 2012 since they restarted everything to be put on their new engine Luminous https://kotaku.com/5575225/final-fantasy-versus-xiii-story-finalized
Hi, is this a different guide?
Also as a side note, I saw yours with the black cover on amazon as well

No worries!
The novel is available as an ebook through Amazon Kindle (I linked you straight to the title). In my opinion, it is very worth the price tag.
Amazon in the US. If you pre-order they offer you 20% off the ticket price, which is $47.99. (I don't know if this discount is offered by Amazon in other countries).

FFXV reviews on Amazon Japan
Amazon.jp 3/5 so far from 216 customer reviews.
So fun fact is that Square typically releases a classical piano soundtrack for each installment of Final Fantasy and then they follow up by releasing the sheet music for those songs. You can purchase/listen to the songs in the FFXV Piano Collections on Amazon, or iTunes. The piano collections are advanced and very challenging.
Songs include Somnus, Sorrow Without Solace, Valse di Fantastica, Stand Your Ground, Luna's Theme, Veiled in Black, Starlit Waltz, Noctis' Theme, Omnis Lacrima, and Apocalypse Noctis.
Another thing to keep in mind with KH: the best way to get into the series is The Story So Far, which includes HD remasters of everything up to KHIII and costs ~$34 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Hearts-Story-So-Far-PlayStation/dp/B07J2KVXY3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=kingdom+hearts+the+story+so+far&qid=1562252292&s=gateway&sprefix=kingdom&sr=8-1). It's PS4 exclusive, though.
Oh, no no no. You'll have to order the digital premium edition through Amazon, NOT PSN. Here's the link to it: https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-XV-Digital-Premium/dp/B01LYRBQQH/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1476842175&sr=1-3&keywords=final%2Bfantasy%2Bxv&th=1

This was the original post I made when I took orders for the book, but all the fics (minus one book-exclusive story) can be read over on my Ao3 account..
OC fics are not as popular as bro ships or reader inserts, but I've seen a lot of people who've gained a small but loyal following of people who read their OC fics. As far as being attacked for them, the only time I've ever seen that happen is when the author themselves stirred up drama first and were then retaliated against by other people. As long as you are supportive of other people's ships and aren't going out of your way to start stuff with people, you'll generally be met with a lot of support as well!

He wields a fake sword of the father. How can he have the sword of the father when it can only be passed by the father. His brother received the sword instead.
The key art does not show a sword if you look carefully. Noctis has a sword it's physical he's touching it, it's solid. Ardyn has an illusion, not solid.
Like I said you need to watch the final battle to see why he doesn't have the sword of the father. Like I said he's evenly matched with Noctis until the final weapon is summoned.
Some of the weapons in the final battle, including the final scene.
You can watch it for officially free on YouTube, or Crunchyroll.

lol you should look at the rottentomatoes reveiws
those reviewers are probably people that have never actually watched any movies ever.
like i loved the movie and yeah it wasnt perfect but it was still a lot better than most recent movies
The Room is 33%. not 62%.
You seem literally incapable of correctly presenting facts when they are right there.
Context is important too, since some people get tongue-in-cheek enjoyment out of 'bad' movies which inflates the freshness rating on some of these garbage movies (which The Room most certainly is). And Troll 2 is a movie so bad, it's hilarious watching and very entertaining, no one should take it seriously.
Most critics or non-FF fan reviewers of Kingslaive are aware that the movie isn't realistically something for a mainstream audience to begin with. Reviewing the movie on its own merit is still valid criticism however positive or negative, because that's what SE claimed it would be able to do, stand on its own. And the movie isn't perfect, it has a lot of flaws, just because you are a diehard fan doesn't magically make your opinion suddenly objectively superior. Critics have their views and for the most part I think they're mostly reasonably fair given what little background knowledge they probably have (again which was never formally made a requirement from SE).
Did I find Kingslaive entertaining? Yes. Do I think it could have been made a lot better? Yes. Am I hyped for the game? Yes. Do I think hardcore fans get a bit too personally insulted when they see it get negative criticism? Yes.
If you want your DS4 to work without the steam overlay you can checkout this: https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows
After that, first thing you can do is turn on the fps counter. This shows GPU Memory Usage and System Memory usage. Highest TRAM would have me up to 99% GPU memory usage (aka not enough) but high has me around 85% consistently.
You say you are on the average preset so I presume that sets TRAM to average?
100% the first thing you want to do though is get to a point where you don't need the steam overlay. No idea why it causes leaks in this game.
I have an old system from 2009 minus the new graphics card and have only 6 Gb of memory. Most of the newer games tend to stack the ram without "emptying" it automatically so I just end up having 100% ram usage and everything is really laggy then.
I use MSI Afterburner to onscreen monitor my ram usage and when it goes to 80-90 % of maximum I run an app called RAMMap to empty ram and it usually releases a gigabyte or more for FF15 and makes the game and other modern games playable for me.
Not sure if this is your problem but I'd suggest to monitor the ram usage to see if that's the case.

It's really quite intriguing how nice it feels coming back to FFXV after playing something else. I've been switching mostly between FFXV and Zelda BotW (I'm afraid to admit how many hours I spent on those two games >.>), I enjoy both games for very different reasons and still am always super excited to go back playing them because "OMG awesome fun ahead!". I've also played demos (SE's Project Octopath Traveler; not yet sure what to think of it, the battle system needs some getting used to) and other games like The Last Guardian, Cave Story+ (I <3 the development story of it: just one dude working on his dream for 5 years in his spare time (link), Death Squared and Rayman Definite Edition. I like those games too, but for me, FFXV and Zelda are truly in a league of their own at the moment.

Do you have 2 or 4 slots on your motherboard? If you have 2 slots but only 2 sticks of ram then they actually need to be in alternating slots for them to run dual channel.
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html download the super simplest version of cpuz here and open the memory tab when you have, there it will tell you what mode your ram is running in.
Good luck!

You can play them with Bink player (RAD Video Tools):
If you’re referring to this one: Official Works it mostly consists of game screenshots, and talks about the story/ also includes interviews. It does have some concept art, but if you’re looking for more design and character artwork then I think the Cook and Becker one fits that better.
If you want a paper guide, I have this one and it's pretty exhaustive, complete with a walkthrough and all side quests. You can find it used on eBay and other places.
Got my copy as a Christmas gift but looks like it’s still up on Amazon!

I’m reading the book of scrapped DLC content and am on Luna’s. She and all oracles are trained to fight with a pole arm (in order to weird the Oracle’s Trident) and her episode would have had a lot of combat.
I won’t spoil anything, but I highly recommend the book of you get the chance! Her episode has been my favorite so far. It’s called Dawn if the Future.
Just to throw this out there,
Sometimes you can find the FF15 Royal Edition on sale from Amazon, BestBuy, or other retailers for cheaper than buying the DLC/add ons online.
Dunno, if that helps but the German Amazon lists it as Final Fantasy XV: The Dawn of the Future (Englisch) Gebundenes Buch – 23. Juni 2020
So, July 23rd, 2020?
I just checked Amazon and it's on there too with the same release date.
It's disappointing how long we'll have to wait for it, but at least we have a date now.
You should read the novelized version of Dawn of the Future. I just finished it and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. If you are a fan of the game and want to understand a lot more about each of these characters’ motives, check it out. Hopefully it’s available in your native tongue. I'm somewhat worried about this looming September 30th release date. I have a Computer Science degree and know all too much about the software development lifecycle. By the looks of all the recent content and what they guys are saying here, they have a really long way to go to get this into a final, polished release. Things like cleaning up graphics, putting in dubs, putting in text. This does not include the massive elephants in the room that are optimization and testing. Those two can literally take months by themselves. I just would not be surprised if this was pushed to, say, December 30th. 5/6 months sounds like a lot but it really is not much time in the grand scale of things.
Now you may say, "Hey irish_guy, don't be silly! SE have 300-odd people working on this, just IMAGINE what they can get done in this time!" and I do agree up to a point. Unfortunately, it is a well known fact that in software development that just adding manpower to a project does not lineally increase the efficiency of said project. There is a famous book on this subject called 'The Mythical Man-Month', basically concluding that adding software dev's to a project late actually made it fall behind schedule! Counter-intuitive but there you go!
It's not a guaranteed delay in a few months, but I would not be in the least surprised if they added on a couple of months!
If you have the time and want to get the best experience story-wise, I'd suggest watching the Brotherhood videos and Kingsglaive. Brotherhood is available on Youtube for free and you can get a blu-ray of Kingsglaive for pretty cheap, so it's worth it. It's about three hours of extra content. You don't have to watch either to play the game, though. It's mostly about fleshing out the characters more and some of the back story. You can still enjoy the game without it.
As far as the game itself, my advice is to enjoy the open world. Some of the funnest parts are exploring the map and doing dungeons and other random quests.
You can get an xbox copy for $40 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-XV-Xbox-One/dp/B00DBF813Y/ref=sr_1_1_twi_gam_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1488391616&sr=1-1&keywords=final%2Bfantasy%2Bxv&th=1 Then just pick up the SP for $25 on xbox store, $65 is a pretty good deal.
Amazon has a few options, but this one is the most reasonably priced one: https://www.amazon.com/Authentic-Japanese-Black-Coffee-Unsweetened/dp/B013SMMGTO/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1488301561&sr=8-2&keywords=canned+coffee+japanese Or if you are crazy like I am, you can order from Amazon Japan, have it shipped to an intermediary and then shipped to you. Expensive, but you get what you want. :)
I would highly recommend buying a copy of The Food Lab as it has essentially every style of cooking and some amazing tips on how to make it Ignis-grade delicious

Not a Rangefinder (No window to look through in image.) Based on what I am seeing, getting any silver body with a vented hood is your closest match visually.
Based on where the eye piece is and the way he holds the camera I'd vote, one of the following;
Professional;
For DSLR; (more photos for charge)
Mirrorless; (smaller, but less photos)
Olympus Stylus 1 or OM-D
Fuji X-T2
Best Bang for Buck;
I'd say the lens is a 35mm

The fastest way to farm AP i have found is to farm the dog spawns at THIS LOCATION using the "Summon Enemies Whistle" with Warp Strike while Noctis has the Royal Weapon shield is attached.
The other farm method I have found requires a Turbo Controller. You go to a campsite, select "train", then have to turbo controller set to spam (L1, △, and X) this will make Noctis warp strike kill Gladio over and over. You are able to get 1 AP every 8 seconds this way.
I sent them an email regarding the recent order. When the site asked what the problem was, I chose something along the lines of "Item was missing something", then "Accesories," I believe.
This is what I said in the email:
Hello,
I preordered Final Fantasy XV from you recently.
According to this page (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N55T8IH), because I preordered, I was supposed to get a code for the Gold Chocobo Regalia.
I never got my code. Can you please send me a code?
Thank you!

I've only played a few of the previous FF games and I never finished any of them. That being said, I am totally hooked on this one and I'm loving it. I really think its a great starting point if you've never played one before.
Couple of things:
1) If you do get the game, I highly suggest watching the "Kingsglaive" movie from Amazon/iTunes before playing. It really sets up the story and helps you understand what is going on.
2) The game is on sale at Amazon today only! https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-XV-PlayStation-4/dp/B00DBF829C/?th=1

There really is no way to nail everything. Though, the Samsung UN49KS8000 does have good input lag, 4k and HDR at 49 inches under $1100. The input lag at 4k with HDR is 21.1 ms. The color gamut for Rec 2020 for this model is roughly average for high-end TV covering about 65% to 75% of the gamut.
If I were buying now, this would be the one I'd get. That said, my Sony Bravia from 2011 is still going strong and I probably won't buy until after I move in a few years.
If neither of those are applicable to you then I'm sure Amazon in other countries would also offer release day delivery
Yep! That's one of the three I'm looking at.
The other two I found are the Samsung KU6300
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E69VEE6
It has a phenomenal pricetag, and is a great all around contender with low latency and fantastic image qaulity, but it's color gamut is poor enough to make it questionable whether it really counts as an HDR tv. I've seen some rumors that a hotfix is coming that will fix the color gamut, but I think that's a load of crap.
and the Sony X800D
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FWIEO6A
Fantastic color gamut solid all around performance and a good but not great pricetag, BUT it only comes in 43 and 49 inch, and 49 is my minimum size.
It just feels weird to me to go out looking for a new TV and only find 3 real options with two of them coming from the same manufacturer.
Everyone I see reccomends the ks8000, which is a great panel for 4k, and can represent the widest amount of colors for HDR. I don't really know the technical details, but some other HDR TVs cannot represent as many colors.
If you don't like sharks, have some penguins

Oh, just remembered: are you planning on buying the Official Strategy Guide as well? There's a paperback standard one, as well as a Collector's Edition hardcover one.
I'll throw my hat in the ring for Nier, if you've never played it before. An action JRPG from the strange mind of Yoko Taro (the creator of Drakengard) which blends different combat styles in a fun and unique (if somewhat clunky) way. It has a strange and sprawling story set in a mysterious and beautiful world, an OST full of downright gorgeous tracks (seriously, it's Uematsu level ear-candy), interesting characters and an ending that will leave you floored and wanting more. It's an underrated gem IMHO. As bonus enticement, the English localization features the brilliant voice acting of the late great Alan Rickman.
P.S. If you're looking for more of a classic JRPG with FF Tactics-esque gameplay and story depth, I have a whole 'nother spiel on why you should play Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen
EDIT: Yoko-san's name lol.
