I think it just seems short because it's so good. The median time to complete the campaign is ~30 hours according to that site, and that's longer than most AAA games these days. GTA IV's average time was about 28 hours, 33 for San Andreas, 21 for Vice City, 17.5 for GTA III (all from the same site), so it's actually longer than any of them except for San Andreas (which was bigger, so it probably padded out the time a good deal just travelling in between the cities).
It's also better than most AAA games these days, though, so it does feel short just because it's so enjoyable.
I'll just recommend LastPass. It can generate extremely secure passwords (up to 100 characters in length) and save them for you. I believe everybody should have this installed as priority.
OBS is probably using a CPU-based x264 encoder by default, but under Encoding settings, it can be configured to use nVidia's NVENC just like Shadowplay.
AMD users can also use this fork to enable AMD VEC support.
Nobody is asking this but, maybe someone else is on your account? I mean maybe a virus got your password or a breach. or maybe your lying but it might be a password problem. Check to see if you email has been hacked at https://haveibeenpwned.com/ and if it has you may want to change some passwords
I've said this before and I'll say this now: Google Cardboard with Trinus Gyre should be an overall decent experience.
It's up to you really. Could you live with only 9gb available on your ssd?
However it's usually advised not to fill ssds to their capacity, usually not more than 75% because otherwise the write speeds starts dropping dramatically.
Only if you have GTX600 or newer graphics cards.
GFE compatible computer with GTX 600/700/900 series GPU (for the PC you're streaming from)
High-end wireless router (802.11n dual-band recommended) or wired network
Geforce Experience 2.1.1 or higher
Please do some further investigation before trying to set the subreddit ablaze mate. If you would've clicked on both of your links you would've seen that the game was still the regional price it always has been (and will be)...
GMG offer game downloads through their servers. Amazon do too.
If you have a GMG account where you've bought non-Steam games you can download them <strong>here</strong>. It's the same page that you view your Steam keys.
The R* launcher/downloader is crap. There is no reason they couldn't have included a throttle setting. But that's a rant - not help.
You can download a free 30-day trial of NetLimiter to force-throttle individual applications.
Yesterday I was able to get rid of the stutters and the D3D_INIT error by ramping up the fans of my card.
I changed it using msi afterburner, after it hits 50°C the fans climbs up from 40% to 100% when 60%, I also opened my case and used another fan to make it cooler. Extreme measures, but I can now play with constant fps at 1080, before I had to downgrade the resolution and the temps were at 75°C.
Also I disabled shadowplay, steam overlay, msi afterburner monitor, so I can't see my current FPS, but it looks smooth, and no stutters.
I also use Remote System Monitor, to keep track of temperatures without the need of an overlay in the game screen.
Only if you format your PC, your GTAV savegames are in your My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V folder, backup this folder to be safe, if you ever forget to do it, you'll loose every progress, best way to avoid this, use http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ and link your saves to a dropbox or any cloud storage service of your choice using their sync and link from the Gamesave Manager thingy, peace of mind after that.
That totally sucks. For the future, http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ is cool. I also use Razer Cortex (used to be game booster) purely for it's cloud save feature. It allows you to back up your saves to a dropbox account and will re-download them for you
Much more than ten years. Look at this. It says a normal pc should take 28k years to crack my rockstar password, which is much shorter than 28 characters, and does not contain any symbol. (thanks Rockstar)
P.s. Don't test your real password on the site. You never know.
http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/ro/en/pc/games/action/grand-theft-auto-v/ its £40 on GMG, but you can add a voucher code for 20% off i think.
There are following vouchers available for this game: Voucher 9 days left 20% off with 20OFFM-ATTHEW-HATTON GreenMan Gaming
Well, the B+ doesn't seem to be any more powerful than the older B that I have, so mine should hopefully work just as well. Still, I'm definitely going to look into this Limelight business.
On SteamDB you can see that there are only different packages for India, Korea and China.
Tier 3, which you have, seems to be ROW (rest of the world), so you should be fine.
before people get excited.. this thing is a simple trick https://steamdb.info/app/271590/graphs/ go here. make sure you have your steam running in background and that you have preordered gta v in your steam library..
click on gta v's thumbnail on the steamdb website.. select launch . it will then proceed to ask you for where to install it.. proceed further.. starts preparing files.. Gives an error of "APP NOT RELEASED"
I never ever said that I have a proof. It was more or less a indication by the steamdb that the game wont get delayed. Don't rage...keep calm...it's just a game...
btw thats what I meant https://steamdb.info/app/271590/graphs/
Was mentioned few times on reddit, like on their blog here: http://www.redditblog.com/2012/01/2-billion-beyond.html
Also this: http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/reddit.com (scroll down to audience geography)
Though I am sure on this sub there are more non-americans than usual.
Not sure, but there is definitely windowed mode and you can turn that into borderless with programs like Borderless Gaming to make it borderless: http://westechsolutions.net/sites/WindowedBorderlessGaming/download
I've redone all the item spawner images, and added every object into the item loading browser. Right now I'm working on porting over the whole Lugaru HD campaign into the Overgrowth engine. I basically do some of the more tedious (but just as important) task.
Did you use something like display driver uninstaller when testing different drivers?
Does the artifacting appear immediately? temps?
Do you have a different DP cable? try different DP port. Try DVI.
You said its happening in CoD, what about other games?
As far as I can tell it looks like memory corruption or a monitor/cable problem.
well it has mixed reputation on web of trust https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/playo.ru?utm_source=addon&utm_content=rw-viewsc
EDIT: just checked and they are blacklisted as "Phish/Scams" so i would not trust it.
This guy is right.
Try this: https://store.steampowered.com/account/redeemwalletcode Enter your code and see if it says success or anything. If it adds 60 buckaroos to your steam wallet, buy the game from here http://store.steampowered.com/app/271590/
OP, don't listen to these guys. Get a prebuilt and save yourself some headache. Yes, you will overpay a little bit, but unless you're really savvy and patient with PC component shopping, you might end up overspending just on shipping and other shit like molex cables and fans that you didn't think about.
I've built three PCs from scratch in the last two years . . . and I learned how to do that by slowly upgrading my very first prebuilt PC. My first one was a $1200 Cyberpower PC from Amazon and I had zero issues with it.
If you can spare an extra hundred bucks in your budget, this will take you a long way, and it's a great foundation for a GPU upgrade (RTX 3070?) down the line.
Well now you know you can't just move files around. They need to be where you installed them because that location is recorded in config files and windows registry. This goes for 99% of software that is put in place by an installer starting way back with Win95.
Creating symlinks is somewhat an advanced topic. But pretty much its a placeholder(like a file) that sits in one place in the filesystem; but is referenced from and written to another place in the filesystem... this is not a simple shortcut.
So you want to make the original folder location (C:\games\rockstar whatever) the placeholder and point to your new location (d:\rockstar whatever) ... It's possible I have that backwards.
But here's a better explanation; and even points to a useful Windows utility:
Using the utility; pick up the new folder and drop a link at the old location.
Made a simple and easy to use Rainmeter launcher for GTA V.
You can change icons with any 256px or 512px PNG, and the file path is edited in the

Isthereanydeal.com says the voucher has 5 days left.
Thanks for the reply, I know, and neither was GTA 4 but I used bootcamp (Windows 10 Technical Preview) for GTA 4 and it worked great.
STOP code 0x00000139 implies USB driver fault, but I can't tell exactly what caused it from here, I'd have to go in with WinDbg and see what faulted (and I'm an amateur at even that) - the only advice I can give you right now is the boilerplate "update drivers, try different device" speech.
If it helps any, here's the web search.
Download this (ignore the fact that it says Intel HD).
Paste the contents into your GTA5 folder. On launch, it may tell you that you don't have the requirements for the game but it'll launch anyway. It has reset your graphics settings, so go and set them back up. Lemme know if it works!
Try to disable vsync ingame and enable "adaptive vsync" in your drivers. Anyway the latest patch fucked up a bunch of performacne things. I hope the new patch in the next days will fix all the latest issues.
listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=43&v=9jK-NcRmVcw
and f5 spam https://steamdb.info/app/271590/graphs/
i'll have to wait for 10+ hours till i can play, but this f5 spam makes me horny
my friend gifted brazillian version to me. Im from pakistan. I was able to redeem it despite of region lock thingy and now i have gta v in my steam library I think i would still be able to run it when it comes out on 14 april. whats your opinion on that?
i mean theres no such thing as GTA V pakistani region version https://steamdb.info/app/271590/ pakistani price isnt even listed. so probably region locks wont affect in pakistan.
Try either 23ISTH-ANYDEA-LEQW5E or 20OFFM-ATTHEW-HATTON
There's also rather stupid bug with GMG code entry box where sometimes it doesn't recognise a code until you delete and re-type the last digit of the code.
Or check here every day for new deals http://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=grandtheftautov
You can get it from a few different digital retailers for much less than the steam price, But it won't be a steam version, All you are paying for with the steam version is having the game on your steam list and steam achievements, It just doesn't seem worth the extra price for me to have it on steam.
I got it from GMG at 23% off when the pre-orders first appeared, Not sure if there are still codes active but you can look here http://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=grandtheftautov
If your CPU usage is at 100% then your CPU is bottlenecking the GPU.
I wouldn't expect a third generation i5 to do that..but I checked CPU Benchmark and its on par with an FX-6300 (aint that great). Maybe a CPU upgrade is required if you want higher fps.
Your CPU won't be able to handle high well either.
Since Rock* hasn't released the specs yet, you can test your PC on CYRI, on Max Payne 3 (since it's the most recent Rock* PC game), and on GTA IV. If you pass the minimum specs for both, there are high chances that you'll be able to run GTAV.
Yeah I'm not referring to the damn racing crews, you were banned from another crew for being a dipshit.
Ring a bell? It's not me specifically asking if you remember me, I'm asking if you remember being banned from anything for being a total arse. You were being a dick and toxic to everyone lmao
Actually, yes. Though Vulkan is a successor to OpenGL as another user has commented, it will draw heavily from Mantle. Mantle will not continue development.
According to the Wikipedia Page:
> Vulkan is derived from and built upon components of AMD's Mantle.
Also, the same article claims that Vulkan is a word for volcano and was named as such to convey its relationship to Mantle.
no worries, i blame my buddy who clearly doesn't know when a trophy pops on psn. I have this list of steam gifts if someone can do it for me on PSN https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=2BFF9670F0958C86!463&app=Excel
CJS-CDKEYS provide a torrent with cd-keys they sold. I used their website before and had no problems. I guess you can use their torrent file to download files.
People playing the game on Steam and the game using Steam/Steamworks as DRM/Multiplayer/Distribution are 2 different things.
Lets use GTA IV as a reference here, The game is sold on Steam, But doesn't use Steamworks, I can go on steamDB and see that 2,970 people are playing the game, But the game uses GFWL still.
Who is to say that R* haven't developed Rockstar Social Club for PC into a proper distribution and DRM client on its own?
And the few people playing GTA V on steam could be nothing more than some form of compatibility testing with Steam, Because let's be honest here with 2 weeks to go i would expect more than 2 devs to be online testing the game.
I think we're talking about two different files. The file that you download to put into your playgtav.exe directory is http://www.x360ce.com/Files/x360ce_x64.zip
once I did that, GTA wouldn't load for me until I downloaded "Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013" and installed that.
once you have that first file extracted to the gta directory, run the executable and set up steering and gas and brakes. I bound a key to the radio as well, just for the heck of it.
There you go http://gtasnp.com/browse
You can avoid this by creating your own cloud save system with http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ and any cloud storage of your choice, I use dropbox, and the saves will go directly there with the link system of Gamesave Manager.
> 80% RAM
> I don't think it's a memory leak.
Yeah it's not like Windows reserves 20% for itself or anything.
Install this, let it run in the background (always). Also change the virtual memory parameters, 400 minimum, 12000 maximum.
These fixed it for me, they might for you, or they might not.
PS: Self Radio eats all the memory in less than a minute.
> I honestly suspect it is a memory leak issue.
That was the issue in my case, as well as a lot of other people's cases. Rockstar flooded the game with so much garbage that 8GB of RAM just isn't enough anymore. Proving that there is such a thing as too many updates, if only these idiots would listen.
Anyway, what fixed most of the stuttering for me was a free program called CleanMem. It purges the memory every so often (or on command) to keep the other programs from reserving too much memory. You can get it here, it starts off as a 7 day trial but you don't need it, the main feature is covered in the free version.
Game still stuttered a bit even with CleanMem. I drove a final nail in it's coffin by changing the pagefile size, but you should just try CleanMem first. Better not mess with the pagefile values if it's not necessary.
Anyway, V-Sync and Fullscreen Windowed mode are also known to cause stuttering. For V-Sync, disable it in-game and force it from your GPU's control panel.
EDIT: If you have the game on disc like me, you can also reinstall it from disc and block it in Firewall to prevent it from updating, assuming you're only interested in Story Mode and don't care about GTA Online or any of the new stuff that was added post-release. The game runs waaaay better without any updates installed.
I'd recommend installing "Display Driver Uninstaller", then reboot to Safe Mode, run DDU (Choose the "Clean and Restart").
Boot back into normal, install latest drivers.
yes, go into control panel, uninstall programs, find Catalyst Control Center iirc, uninstall (i choose express uninstall). then restart, download DDU (display driver uninstaller) and run the program, it will restart in safe mode and them you can remove any remaining files in the program. once you have finished that and restarted, install the new drivers. i do this for every driver update and ive not had an issue with driver since following this procedure.
Either they made a deal with Rockstar or they are leaking the official standalone installer before any torrent site or any P2P service, 0Day group etc had the game (which are just the files directly from Steam or Social Club and not the installer).
I also had a problem like this and I solved it by using a VPN. So far its the only fix for the problem. I am using TotalVPN but there are many other VPN services out there, just experiment and find one that suits you best. Hope this advice works for you.
Yeah, same here. Started off fine, then went down to 500, then dropped to about 18kb/s (usually get 2mb/s on Steam). I'm assuming I'm downloading from Rockstar's UK servers and they're overcrowded.
Only thing that has worked for me is to connect to a US VPN and download it that way. Using Private Internet Access, getting my 2mb/s speed on it.
Just had to install this app, Moonlight which is NOT from Nvidia, but worked for me just fine. The requirements are listed on the app page.
What worked for me is to tweak my gpu fans.
Before this I had to play at 1600 x 900 and had some stutters while driving, GPU at 75°C, now I can play at 1080, GPU at around 55°C.
no you are misreading the picture, look at GPU-Z for the videocard. GPU -z was not set to display max when I alt tabbed. But the red bars show that it was under load. Here are all fields set to show max: http://tinypic.com/r/2q2q1xj/8
Fan speed will be 0 because I am running a custom cooling setup.
this was in the middle of a frame rate lag spike period, I quickly alt-tabbed and screen shot http://tinypic.com/r/oh1xxx/8.
In this test period I reverted to 350.12 drivers (I booted safe mode with display driver uninstaller before installing 350.12) and the graphics setting are the same as what I normally use, which is the assigned default for 1080P on 770, except anisotropic filtering is turned OFF from x16 and post effects is set to normal.
If space is an issue, you can use symbolic links to make a "User Music" folder that is actually on another drive.
Depends where you live. For instance, people in California get to play tomorrow at 4:00pm. Click here to see when you'll be able to play: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?continent=namerica&p1=304&iso=20150414T00&msg=GTA%20V%20Launch
Guys! I just used a super scientific device (totally not a crystal ball) to see when GTA V will release on PC.
I've also taken the liberty to show you on this nifty calendar.
You can thank me later!
I ended up getting sick this past week and since I was home I decided to purchase GTA V. I went to steam to finally pre order the game and was a couple of hours late to get the early version of the game. I decided to go to https://www.g2a.com/ and picked up a pre order key for $60.00. Everything was going great. I got the "Grand Theft Auto V + Bonus (1.350.000$) ROCKSTAR CD-KEY GLOBAL" key, went to the social club and activated my key. The key came with the steam version and a bunch of extras. So I figure I was on the fast track. Well, I downloaded the installer and installed the setup. Once the setup started it asked me for the key to activate. I put in the key that I had and then it said that it was already in use. So I then tried to activate it in steam since they said that steam version came with the key and that didn't work either. I have now opened up 3 tickets with Rockstar Support and I just barley received a response back from them from the first ticket which was submitted 3 days ago. The tech was "Level 1" and asked me for information that I had already had in other tickets. Needless to say the issue has still not been resolved and now my ticket is listed as "Closed". I'm super frustrated with the level of Customer Service / Technical Support I and other people are receiving! I'm feeling screwed out of $60.00 and this is the second copy I have purchased. The first on being on the Xbox ONE which was a must more pleasant experience. So, has anyone else experienced this complete lack of support with this company? Can we as a community help me and other people get these issues resolved?
If he's got an EVGA GPU then tell him to download PrecisionX16, but if it's any other just get MSI Afterburner. Just an FYI, MSI Afterburner will still work with an EVGA card if he doesn't like PrecisionX. Anyways, he can then create a custom fan curve. Make sure that he's got the program open when he's gaming, or you can just tell the software to open on startup of the PC so it stays on. If he's got two monitors hooked up, tell him leave the MSI/Precision window open on one and GTAV open on the other. Monitor temps and VRAM usage carefully.
You may want to get your hands on an older directx version, think that file is part from an older one so the current version web installer may not want to install it, if you're willing to trust me, here's a rar version of the whole package, just use dxsetup.exe and install everything, you can even see a .cab name with the file you're after in that so you can be sure its ok and good, can't remember where I grabbed that package first but it solved a similar issue I had with another game, and hope I won't break rules by publishing a mediafire link here :
50,000 People disagree with him that the game is dead.
Either way, you don't need a massive playerbase to enjoy playing coop together. Get him to come over and watch you play. Maybe use Steam family sharing.
''SteamDB Unknown App 378920 about 6 hours ago'' todays update.
SteamDB Unknown App 376850 (GTA Online: Shark Cash Cards) about 6 hours ago ''Another dlc depot there which is the shark cash cards''
So this means that there is 6 dlc's/updates.
and just check the payday 2's steamdb site, even their free updates counts as dlc's.
GTA V: Images can be found in the OP's link here- http://www.reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAutoV_PC/comments/33ljod/since_my_last_picture_was_so_well_received_ive/
(And yes I am aware the GTASA cap has mods to give the rain a reflection, its the best one i could really find to 'compare' it however)
Yeah, just google it. here.
EDIT: After examining the data from that website it's not entirely accurate. It says a GT 620m beats a GTX 980 by like 3x. But just google stufff and you'll find out.
Sorry for not getting this faster!
I suggest getting NordVPN. Their service is great and easy to use and they have special offers right now
If you look at this link there are 16 players in game right now. My guess would be that they are testing out everything before launch. Also, the images are not showing up for me.. have they been removed?
uhm... guys? it's easy. if you preordered gta v on steam just open this link
source url: https://steamdb.info/app/271590/graphs/
you get this installation screen with an error, because "the game hasn't been released yet".
Works for me with an Xbox controller, might be how Microsoft deals with the drivers on Windows.
EDIT: You could try something like http://ds4windows.com/ which maps your controller using Microsoft drivers.
I think it's similar to my rig. CPU is AMD Phenom II x6 @ 3.2ghz, OC'd to 3.6ghz. GPU is Radeon R9 280x 3GB.
I can't get a steady 60 FPS yet. More like 40-70, even when everything's at the minimum with a low resolution. Game runs at similar framerates even on High, Very High, MSAA and other settings. That tells me there's a CPU bottleneck. I haven't played much since the latest patch that fixed the GTA5 Launcher issue and this post, so it's possible the CPU bottle-necking has been resolved.
Fair enough. Here's the mod. It goes inside update.rpf (or your modded copy of it). Replace the file update.rpf\common\data\timecycle\timecycle_mods_1.xml.
Just a note, to avoid a horrible looking effect when you look at the motion blur through a car window, I've set it up to completely disable motion blur in first person mode. It works on foot and in any kind of vehicle, just only in third person.
If the effect is too strong, let me know and I'll show you how to tone it down.
Get one of these if compatible it’s only 300 dollars and it legit changed my gaming experience for the better 10 fold Razer Core X Aluminum External GPU Enclosure (eGPU): Compatible with Windows & MacOS Thunderbolt 3 Laptops, NVIDIA /AMD PCIe Support, 650W PSU, Classic Black https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07CQG2K5K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q2VGR3E8XWVD1P0RNMTC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is pretty much the same, the exact model I have isn’t sold anymore I think (it’s 2. Years old):
MSI 32" Full HD RGB LED Non-Glare Super Narrow Bezel 1ms 2560 x 1440 144Hz Refresh Rate Free Sync Height Adjustable Curved Gaming Monitor (Optix MAG321CQR),Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NQG1FFB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XZ6EF1B3GBYVJQPRWCJP
I don’t game on the laptop screen, I have an external monitor. My preset will run on this laptop above 35 FPS @ 1440p.
Also, the mod is NVR. The ENB/ReShade are my own values and presets. So without those, it won’t look like the OP.
Try this: http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/public/GTAV/GTAV.torrent
Rockstar provided the files to cjs-cdkeys (according to them). I maxed out my internet (75Mbps) testing the download so it'll be pretty fast I'm guessing.
By the way, that installer will require another ~10GB of download when you enter the key.
Just one thing that could be worth a mention is that it seems R* are just sitting on it and not "testing and polishing" at all. As of writing this post the last update to the game according to SteamDB was on the 7th January which was 6 days ago, and saying the game was not delayed to then state it is delayed 3 days later also grinds my gears.
Sorry if this seemed a bit ranty, but I just need to get that off my chest
I don't disagree with this theory completely (It definitely is a possibility) but I highly doubt that Rockstar is going to pass up the opportunity to sell on Steam. The late preorders for games coming from Rockstar have always been a thing for PC on steam (Max payne 3 preorder 2 weeks before launch, LA Noire just a week if I'm correct), and we keep seeing the packages getting updated for GTA in SteamDB. https://steamdb.info/app/271590/ There are even two devs on Steam as we speak possibly working on GTA, so I highly doubt that it's going to be neglected.
Actually it does use R* Cloud Saves, for Multiplayer, but not Single Player. If you want to keep your save game backed up, use this : Razor Cortex It has built in integrated save game backup to Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive) or if you want to take the paid route, you could use: Gamestow they do have a free service, but you are limited on the amount of cloud storage you can use.
I'm using DS4 for all vehicle activity and KBM for everything else. So far so good, although keybinding flexibility sucks.
To use DS4 in Windows: http://ds4windows.com/
Going to try this tonight to get around the binding limitations: http://www.autohotkey.com/download/
Look here http://gtasnp.com/browse
And a good trick to use is Gamesave Manager http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ with dropbox or any cloud sync of your choice, Gamesave Manager can create links that make the game save on your dropbox or cloud storage of your choice and its really easy to use, plenty of tutorials on youtube also.
The best solution is http://www.gamesave-manager.com/, there's a function called http://www.gamesave-manager.com/?s=support&c=synclink which allow you to put the save folders in any cloud synced folder of your PC, I use dropbox but you can use any free service you want, if you do the same on both PC, the save will always be up to date with the newest one.
For Single Player, look there : http://gtasnp.com/browse
I suggest you use Gamesave Manager http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ and use the sync and link to put all of your gamesaves into a dropbox/OneDrive/Google Drive folder so everything is synced to the cloud, you don't even have to run the program once the links have been created, it will go in the cloud by default.
Look here : http://gtasnp.com/browse
And to avoid this kind of problem in the future, you can install Gamesave Manager http://www.gamesave-manager.com/ and save all your games to the cloud with dropbox or any free cloud service of your choice
You're welcome :)
Edit: You can also use Github Pages to host the website for your FAQ's and stuff. I host my website on there too, and CNAME directions are free!
qaisjp.github.io easily redirects to my main website qaisjp.com
how much ram do you have? which edition of windows? have you tried lowering the directx version from within the gtav graphics options? are you using postprocessing of any kind including but not limited to fxaa, msaa, morphologically filtered aa, transparent texture aa, anisotropic filtering, vsync (is it On or Half ingame, and is it forced to On in your AMD/NVIDIA drivers' control panel?)? whats your refresh rate? are you running on a normal hard drive or is this on an ssd or other high end storage medium? if it's a normal hard drive, what's the RPM of it? what's the manufacture date on it - you can check this by pulling it from your case and reading all over the stickers and shit
other things to think about include antivirus exclude (you've done this right?), opening windows firewall with advanced security and using the menu to restore the default policy, then reboot, reinstalling the redistributable extensions necessary for gameplay located at C:\Program Files (x86\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V_CommonRedist, try using DDU http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/download/DDU%20v22.214.171.124.exe to fully wipe your graphics drivers and then reinstall them. try running a forced re-check of the local files in Steam. if you have ever modded the game and then cleaned it up by hand, remove each of the files in steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V EXCEPT for the large files that are all 196MB+ (they are all bigger ".rpf" files) then force a recheck, try reinstalling the social club from steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\Installers
...or try formatting your machine and reinstalling GTA via download from Steam again.
it might still fail...
then you may want to call this guy
I downloaded the DDU,
But upon running it tells me there's an update, and directs me to this sketchy looking site
What's the deal?
The issue might be with Windows 10, I'm having a similar problem with GTAV and Quantum Break after this new Anniversary Update and other people are reporting it too, as you can see here.
I just finished running Windows Repair and for what I could test the issue might have been fixed for me, if your problems are similar to the ones in the thread I linked you might give it a shot.
If you're concerned about hard-drive space. You can use Link Shell Extension to create "Symbolic Links" which basically acts like a fake copy of the file.
eg. Dir_A/File_1.dat = Real File Dir_B/File_1.dat = Sym Link
When the program tries to access
Dir_B/File_1.dat it will be directed to
So your structure should be: create SymLinks of all your GTAV folder in say GTAVSP, drop your ACTUAL mods in GTAVSP (not a symlink). Then when you start GTAVSP it will use the original GTAV files for the game, taking up no extra data, and the mods folder from the SP only folder.
But as far as the game is concerned, everything is in the same folder.
You really should consider moving it to your SSD. The stuttering is most likely because your spinning disk is struggling to keep up. Also go to http://www.hdtune.com/ and run a speedtest and let us know the results.
Grab GPU-Z and let it run in the background as you play. Look on the Sensors tab for any frequency drops, high GPU temperature, or spikes in memory, memory controller or video engine load.
Just adding the Technet Process Explorer address. Chip.de seems fine but many third party sites have been using bundling installers that install crapware lately. Grab from the source when you can.
If you are fullscreen it won't work. I do it with Windowed fullscreen no border and then use lightshot
So then when you hit prntscr it will pop up where you can get the area you want.
Locate the rendered mp4 and use video editing software.
You can use a free open source software called Lightworks. It's effectively Adobe Premier Pro, but not as loaded (afaik).
