Looks like these . You could use 3m Christmas hooks or regular hooks to hang. Also you’d probably have to buy a lot to make it look full.
I think it’s these
Graham and Brown 12011 Small Square Paintable Wallpaper Roll, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001GZBQVU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_PHKE9QNKP1PQSQ5BBAEH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Home office - put a small desk facing the right side.
Or use as closet space - they make curtain rods that are very skinny - you’d install on the inside of the door at the top and bottom (search for door curtain rods). Then they sell curtains that have a pocket at top and bottom so that it hangs in place - like this: https://www.amazon.com/NICETOWN-Grey-French-Door-Curtains/dp/B01GJIWH84/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1547128800&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=door+curtains&dpPl=1&dpID=51HvbbS22zL&ref=plSrch
You can then hide things inside without the visual clutter.
Not sure if this might help but we bought this window film for a small window in our apt: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTA00AX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_-cjjBbZ140X1T
It lets soft light to come through and isn’t hard to put on either.
Here are more up close pics, and the little nook with the toilet!
And here is the link to the paper! I’ve also used the white marble, I have tried various brands for other projects and this is by far the best! It’s thick and durable, so easy to install. I used it to IKEA hack my daughters kitchen and it has been 2 years strong without a single scratch.
Might have to get a whole new fiancé. Jk. Maybe something like this to hang and cover it?
I got them here!
And I only needed to buy one pack for that wall and I had about 4 or 5 left over still! They are decals and have been holding up really well. They’re not too thin and my toddler can’t pick them off the wall either which is a plus!
I believe this is the bedspread I have in my cupboard. I bought it from Kmart (Australia). It’s reversible, white with black details on one side, black with white details on the other side. I don’t think they’ve sold it for about a year or so.
Here’s a link to a similar one on Amazon
This is the exact quilt cover, there’s only a queen size left but you might have a look at the related items?
I couldn’t find this exact one (it was a Christmas gift from my aunt to my tot) but here is one in a different color! a blue version
Also if you search “donkey jumping toy” on Amazon there are so many other cool options. I even saw this unicorn one
Amazon has a ton of this stuff, that's peel and stick birds and what not.
But honestly I've had a pretty big picture hanging over my bed for ages, never had an issue. I think it doesn't actually have glass, it's printed canvas in a frame. You can also buy art that is just printed on a canvas over a wood edge, where even if it fell on you it wouldn't do much but wake you up. You could also tack up a pretty tapestry of some sort, that also wouldn't hurt if it somehow became untacked in the night and attacked you.
In what way are your throw pillows uncomfortable? Are they too firm? Too soft? Is the texture scratchy? You might consider buying separate inserts and covers that way you can customize the pillows to your liking in terms of firmness and texture. I use these inserts and I buy one size up from the cover (i.e. if the cover is 18x18, I get the 20x20 insert). If you buy the same size inserts and covers I find the pillow ends up feeling kind of limp and under stuffed. I've also been eyeing these covers, because they look like they'd be super soft.

I have this in my living room and I love it for the color it adds to the room. I think it would work with your blues and greys. We have beigeish couches and it looks good too.
That floor is beautiful, so I wouldn't want to cover it up with an area rug. Space-wise, I would get rid of the love seat and put in another big comfy chair (round like the other one) angled out in the corner (where the guitar is) to offset the angles in the room. Warmth-wise, add some colourful pillows to the chairs, or even add something like this. I'd put a small window-height table in front of the window and add plants/greenery. Maybe one taller plant in the area of the existing table. It looks like it could be a cool little reading nook, or conversation room for two.
I think landscaping is would have a huge impact on your curb appeal. I’d take out the brick planter and make a large bed on the right hand side. This book series has tons of easy landscape plans, you can find one for every region of the US : Mid-Atlantic Home Landscaping, 3rd Edition (Creative Homeowner) 400+ Color Photos & Drawings, 200 Plants, & 46 Outdoor Design Concepts to Make Your Landscape More Attractive & Functional https://www.amazon.com/dp/1580114989/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_90K2W7DJRBCY4C1WKXS2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Enjoy !
Oohh I was recently shopping for office accessories and saw things called “under desk drawer organizers” like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KP73MPC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WFD3ZWV5TVVZEBDMGX1Z
Not sure if it would damage the bottom of the desk, but figured I’d share :)

I have a few ideas for you.
In such a small space, I would use floating shelves instead of bedside tables. A wooden shelf with medium/dark stain + 2 dark colored brackets per shelf would only cost around $25-$35 at Home Depot or Lowe’s.
The lamps look too wide for the space, and they make the small tables look even smaller. Trade them in for something skinny and sleek, like this pair for $50.99 from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/HAITRAL-Modern-Bedroom-Living-Office/dp/B076JBWQKB/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=black+table+lamp&qid=1562045693&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011&rnid=2661617011&s=gateway&sr=8-7
There are cheaper pairs of lamps on Amazon, but they’re also shorter which would look weird in this space.
The curtains. Long curtains in a small room can be tricky. Especially since your ceiling seems to vault the other direction. Maybe replace the curtains with a neutral/cream colored Roman Shade instead.
Add color with decor and pillows. The green wreath will add a needed splash of color to the wall. I would also add a small vase with an artificial plant to each side table (if you get smaller lamps). Next, opt for a neutral colored comforter or large quilt, and add 4-5 colorful decorative pillows. I love the light grey quilt I have in my guest room. It adds a good amount of texture and coziness to the space, while also matching whatever new pillows I bring home.
Hope this helps!
I have this frosted glass privacy film over some of my windows for privacy. It doesn't totally block the light but it dulls it quite a bit. There are some darker and lighter styles if you search online.
I am in actual love with this bed set. I think a green or yellow solid would look nice. If you're not for that I would go for Grey and white stripes. I think I just looked up fall foliage branches or something similar. I’ve seen these, but for standard (smaller) office overhead lights. They are just printed sheets that fit inside the light covers. Amazon
Tbh I think they’re kind of tacky but it looks nicer here as a larger “window”, and I can see how in certain settings they are useful.

Well, the table has to go. You need to match the weight of the couch (and the black ottoman) so, round with a small footprint so you have somewhere to put your feet. A tribeca would add gravitas and style, while leaving room to move and the glass top wouldn't clutter up the visuals. https://www.amazon.com/Poly-Bark-Sculpture-Coffee-Table/dp/B00UT1EBXM/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_196_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=XGGBH3NMPYNKZH8NX43Z
Pictures of what colors or a dream room you do like would be helpful!
Your can also just buy a personal license of the design from the original artist and get it printed yourself for cheaper.
If youre really cheap and like a diy project, you can probably even buy the design and project it onto the wall at whatever scale you like and paint a mural. Haha.
Not exactly what you're looking for, but pretty close and quite handy is room styler. All you need is the measurements of your room and you can make a top down model of it with a 3d preview in the top right. Adding items furniture, wallpaper etc from the menu and then when you're finished you can get a render of the room.
Sadly, there's a limited amount of objects, so you couldn't put that couch you want in it, but there might be one close enough.
Alternatively you could use gimp basically a free photoshop.
Such a nice restful color! Those lace curtain panels make me think you might do well with a ribbon bulletin board —or you can DIY if you prefer. If your cord/outlet situation allows, think about “floating “ you desk so it’s facing the door, with the window at your left as you’re sitting. It’s good for your eyes to be able to change focal depth frequently when you’re working on screen all day; it’s also nice to be able to see that you’re in a beautiful room!
Think of placing the desk and chair on the rug, adding a nice large plant, and I personally always need a bookcase and/or file cabinet. Depending on your work, you might also want a small club chair to change your position if you need to read or be on a call.
Amazon sells white room darkening blackout curtains, I think your room looks good with the light colored curtains.

Just wanted to add that Nuvo makes great cabinet paint! There is a variety of colors available on Amazon but I am partial to this green/grey for your kitchen: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0749P65N9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_V0ZVV99DJ8DVE6YMWG6F
Best of luck!
If you want some color, teal curtains with some colorful accent pillows could look great! Otherwise I like sage like this color. If you want sheer there are some pretty sage ones too like this
Thank you for the help and suggestions! I do have this rug that's been sitting in my storage (I intended to put it on the balcony but haven't because of winter). I wonder how this would look in there? Or maybe something like this would be better? I also thought about a white/black table runner of some sort.
I got a vintage Persian rug for the office and put these under the rolling chairs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RPB8JDB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Maybe for light purposes you could do the high and long curtains for aesthetics and a Roman shade? The shade would just come down to the top of the headboard for light blocking when you want it and then you pull it up and have you pretty but mostly decorative curtains flanking the bed. I think you might have to take the blinds down to install the shade. Just a thought. Link to one I found on amazon below
The gap next to the plant cabinet correct? If so I would move your palm from the tv to that spot and move the little plants.on the floor next to the tv.
Use a planted like this next to the tv to add height. There are a ton of this style online for cheaper. Fox & Fern Set of 3 - Multi-Tiered Plant Stand - Including 3 White Plant Pots - 8 + 10 + 12 inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LQNY5L7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_54MNNTYR4GKV36B31R9Q
I think you might like playing around with this color wheel app.
For choosing colors for a space, I’d stick to the monochrome, analogous, triad, complementary, or split complementary schemes (found in the left side bar!) Maybe start off by moving one of the circles to match the green-ish color of your poster!
From there, follow the 60/30/10 rule: choose one color to be 60% of your color, a secondary color of 30%, then an accent color of 10%. You can use different tints and shades of these colors too!
Of course, these are just guidelines for color harmony, but if color spooks you it can be a nice way to ease in :)
It is very convenient to use teapots with candles for tea drinking. One candle burns for approximately 4 hours and the tea remains hot throughout the entire time. Wrote a small review of all my collected tea items. I hope this will be useful to someone.
Hi everyone - my wife and I have been racking our brains on this and thought it would be great to get some outside opinions. We have a living room that we can't figure out how to look better/flow better than it currently does.
We go back and forth about TV over the fireplace vs in the corner (or somewhere else)
Also trying to figure out what to do with the space behind the loveseat, thinking about some kind of light desk for working on the laptop. Maybe facing the back of the loveseat, or facing the wall behind it?
Here's a tinkercad link with some of the ideas we've considered, but don't feel sure of: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kpN07OS1cBc-copy-of-copy-of-living-room-floor-with-walls-and-furniture

I was thinking something like this for the glass doors, but there are all kinds of great patterns if this isn't your cup of tea.
I've bought peel and stick wallpaper twice. Once from the Home Depot (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RoomMates-Grasscloth-Blue-Vinyl-Peel-and-Stick-Wallpaper-Roll-Covers-28-18-sq-ft-RMK11314WP/309685862) and once from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YRSLZ4C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_Z32NP9C8ASQHS2NVBBNZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). I read the customer reviews and looked at the available customer photos to get a sense of the quality of the wallpaper and let it look like. I had positive experience with both peel and stick wallpapers.

thank you so much! I made a little update if you wanna check it out. I’m currently working on cutting tape to measure out another thing i’m thinking about getting and putting above my bed. this! I love spice if you can’t tell lol
Industrial style fixtures are in right now, they vary so you'll likely be able to find one that fits your taste+budget.
Pendant like these are cool - depending on your ceiling height : https://www.google.com/shopping/product/1?q=industrial+light+fixtures&safe=active&client=ms-android-motorola-rev2&bih=750&biw=412&hl=en&tbs=vw:g,ss:44&prmd=sinv&sxsrf=ALeKk02UKBCFEelCNJ-5MPg1vuw1wC9oEA:1622607597623...
Or the more open bulb type - I think something like this would look cool in your entry way: https://www.amazon.ca/Industrial-Pendant-INNOCCY-Adjustable-Lighting/dp/B07HR8SB8V
You could also get some Velcro wrap or tape to put them all together into one line. Then I saw someone that wrapped the cords in fabric the same color as the wall. Blended in really well. There are also things you can buy designed for exactly this, like these ones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JKO8724/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_9WHV6CW29JKY7FSJV3SR
Sure! I used this. It was very simple. The kit comes with everything you need. I didn’t like the roller, because it left bubbles, so I used the brush. I did several coats. I prepped the cabinets with a good cleaning and liquid sandpaper first to remove the gloss. The kit says no primer needed, however I’ve noticed that it does scratch off pretty easily and reveals the brown underneath, so I needed additional coats. So you may want to consider using a good primer first.

I think that no matter what curtains you hang it will look a bit different but you also have to what works for you! These are the hooks I used most recently and I think should work on a slope.
Maybe shutters would work?
Thank you! It’s the same bathroom. The toilet and shower are behind a door. I got the shelf from Amazon.

No i love all your input, i am so new to this all. Im trying to buy a bunch of cool books and stuff and I’m browsing interior decorating etc. but yah that is definitely not antique brass, gonna keep my eye out for some real brass looking lamps on fb.
I am thinking of a shelf like this, I may cram it on the other side(see imgur link below), eventually I will want curtains to cover up the hideous blinds but thats for another time.

Im going to need some time to think here, probably going to wait until my end table comes in.
I’ll keep you updated on what I pick for the rug :D
Very similar ones in paint by numbers and then it can be your own work!!
Thanks for the ideas. What do you think of this for the big open space to the right of the bed. It's 4 ft round. I'm not sure if that would balance everything out make it worse
Idk how to do it with chalk paint. But I used this kit when I sold my house. It couldn’t have been simpler and my real estate agent said she was gonna recommend it to her clients since it turned out so well. Giani Countertop Paint Kit (Bombay Black)

maybe a few more floating shelves to replace what's on the wall and add some faux plants so you don't have to worry about gnats and other bugs from the soil above your head haha.
oooh suuuppeerrr cute!, loving the symmetry. Not sure if you like plants, but I got these recently because my pets are allergic and knock things over. These are so adorable and they might fit the look of your place too!
Gorgeous! I love how cozy and efficient this looks. If you run out of space on your spice rack, might I suggest 8 oz deli containers from Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MFCB1CC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_8df0FbP1JFR02
I bought a set recently since I ran out of space on my spice shelf, and it’s been life-changing for me. It’s much easier to see everything AND made room for about half a dozen new spices I wouldn’t have been able to fit in my tiny kitchen before, since I can stack 4 of them in the space that used to be occupied by 2 or 3 randomly-sized spice jars.
Agree with everyone in changing up the hardware. Another thought, it’s hard to see based on the photo, but you could possibly add feet to the bottom like so.
Lots of greys and blue-greys. You can even have the walls be a light grey (which won't darken the room too much) and then have dark grey towels/mats and accents everywhere, and it will still look good. Search for "Kraken shower curtain" on Amazon; almost all of the ones Petit listed will be there, along with a bunch of other similar options.
Vinyl decals will be your friend. Tentacles coming out from behind the mirror? Uh, yes.
Portholes could be fun too, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Nautical-Ship-Porthole-Mirror-Decor/dp/B00BUE34QM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468637828&sr=8-1&keywords=porthole+decor

This is very similar to those purple lights you see, and there are dozens of outlet timers available on amazon as well for ~12$. If you decide to go with a CFL, just make sure it is a “daylight” bulb (close to normal sun spectrum) and as long as the wattage isn’t too high, you can fit it into any fixture you like; the more you can focus the light onto the plant, the better (so, cone-shaped/reflector shade rather than lamp shade). But placing the bulb a distance (say, 5 foot) away is a waste of light and money. Have fun and happy planting!

Ceiling hooks to hang stuff (here are some links for Walmart and Amazon to show what I mean)
I second @LemonFinch
Consider how you want to use the home, or what you’re really lacking. And go on from there.
Do you need a small landing station to corral your coins/ masks/ metro cards? Or are the bills cluttering another area, and you just need a small desk to go quick tasks (but not a full on workstation)?
If you’re not wanting messy, perhaps you have another hobby that you enjoy- like a library/reading nook.
Either way, there’s tons of ways to shield your mess if you do have a messy hobby. You could always craft or sew, but get a coffee table with storage: https://www.amazon.com/Mainstay-Lift-Top-Coffee-Table-Brown/dp/B00HK3LRI4
OR a storage ottoman that goes with your decor.

I don’t know if these are the same, but my curtains look almost the same and are great quality for the price. Here they are!
I use a transparent curtain in the middle since the curtains are pretty thick so I can open them to get sun and still have privacy.
Omg no! Protect the floors!
I got this a little while ago, I've applied them to the bottom of basically every item in our house. Highly recommend!
I was going to say this. If you don't have specific need to see out the window, applying a frosted window film would let the light in and allow for privacy.
If you need to be able to see out clearly, something more like this would feel less heavy, although I'd argue it's got a bit of a dated vibe.
I ordered this one off of amazon! I think it will go well with everything else, but I might end up cancelling and purchasing more of an off white duvet cover.

If you spray paint- use a lazy Susan and make sure you do light/even coats (especially if you’re going to put lights in them). The lazy Susan you can pick up almost anywhere they sell kitchen stuff for a reasonable price and being able to turn the bottle as you paint is a big help to get those even coats of paint. Also amazon has battery operated string lights attached to a fake cork! They are the friggin coolest things and I highly recommend. I make wine bottle and mason jar lights (gifts, personal use and I’ve sold some) and made all of our wedding decor. We used drip painted wine bottles for centerpieces and spray painted bottles for our seating chart. I have done A LOT of spray painting of wine bottles and mason jars. If you want to use acrylic or glass paint you may want to embrace the texture and use a sponge to apply, Ive tried a few techniques and can never get the paint smooth enough that you don’t see brush strokes when you turn the light on. You can also use food coloring and modge podge to ‘dye’ the interior of the bottles but it’s not waterproof so you can only use plastic flowers or lights in that case. Here’s a tutorial the mason jars end up looking like sea glass, still translucent but colored.
Hope at least some of that was helpful
My last post I had a couple people asking about the chair in the photo. I got it at Target . It was super affordable.
I really like a couple of Sherpa chairs that CB2 offers but I couldn’t justify 400+ for a chair. Glad I found this at Target.
The chair originally doesn’t come with legs, and sat lower to the ground than I would like. So I got these chair legs from amazon and installed them to the bottom so they sit higher, so they can be the same height as my sofa.
:) if you just get creative and look hard you can totally get the high end furniture look for cheap!
Hello! I got it on amazon. Link below
Oh man do I second the person who said Pinterest to discover your “type”, and it sounds really nerdy and OTT but Emily Henderson’s book changed my life. I’m not kidding, she gave me the gift of being able to improve the space I lived in. Pick it up from the library or better yet, buy it so you can sticky note and highlight as much as you like.
Most design books are just loads of glossy inspiring photos of things you could never pull off, but she gives you very simple formulas and ways to identify what you like and how to do it. I’ll preach this book until I die, I love it that much. Give it a shot.
Newish to the community but I’d appreciate some feedback. We have this really awkward room that we are turning into our main Tv/media room as it’s the biggest square footage. My main question is how to place dimmable ceiling lights? Currently the two green dots are lights that look like these. They are both on the same switch and it just bothers me how bright/harsh the lights feel when I’m trying to be cozy. Any suggestions on how we should do them would be appreciated! Here are some details about the room
-the blue line is where the TV is -the red line is a nook where we have a desk and our computer - the yellow highlight is a duct (covered by drywall. - the ceilings throughout the home are 7.5-8ft - we plan on having a small sectional or couch/chaise - there are two high windows on the back wall (it’s a below ground lvl room)
Rather then try to "fix" the back, you could use clear contact-type paper like this to give it a glossy finish (if you're good with an x-acto blade):

If it looks weird, try hitting with a hair dryer. If it doesn't work, not much lost.
Looks great! I haven’t tried them but my friend uses cord covers to hide her cords: https://www.amazon.com/Cord-Cover-Concealer-Management-Connectors/dp/B07RZQXRQK/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=cord+covers&qid=1671386589&sr=8-3
On the shelf add these acrylic shelf dividers to separate your items. You could put in a small 5 x 7 rug underneath your table and maybe add some pictures or canvas on the wall.
Agree with everyone about adding art and/or shelves to the walls and a rug under the table. I also might suggest adding a hanging light fixture to add dimension/levels to your dining room. Something mid century modern would look great with your table and chairs
You can actually get a nice-looking rug for a cheap enough price that it wouldn't be the end of the world if your dogs mess it up. It won't necessarily be great quality--synthetic instead of natural fibers, thin/short pile instead of plush, probably much shorter life than a more expensive one, etc. But it will work wonders to soften & define the space, and you won't be paranoid about it getting ruined.
I hate Amazon in many ways (worker exploitation, environment, etc) & feel kind of guilty recommending it, but you can find pretty rugs on there for surprisingly cheap--I got this one and it looks really nice in person: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L75YD33/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1. The pricing on these seems to fluctuate a lot, so if you find one you like, keep an eye out for price drops & buy it while it's discounted. You might also find something at Target, Walmart, or some other big box store.
TLDR: Don't spring for a nice rug--just get a cheap but pretty rug for now. If that works out well with your dogs, then you can feel more confident investing in a nicer one later.
I used command strips and these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08ZXYS8PZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and it turned out pretty nice, the strips aren't in visible at all, unless the cabinet is open
Nobody is answering your question lol just telling you how to move it!
What I think would squeeze into that place perfectly is a shorter/wide bookcase. Depending on your style, you can do a mix of books, pictures, knick knacks, plants, etc.
https://www.amazon.com/Concepts-Wood-Shelf-Triple-Bookcase/dp/B07RVDCMFZ to give you an idea of what I’m talking about, but don’t pay a couple hundred for a new one.
Everyone seems to have extra bookcases lol check out thrift stores, Craigslist, dumpsters/curbs especially if you live anywhere near a college town
I like the Beach Glass look. Also if you want you can try adding these acrylic shelf dividers. I think they would go great on your shelf.
More plants with vines. Also you can use these acrylic shelf dividers that would go great on those shelves.
