What I might encourage is that if you have the Reddit Enhancement Suite you can set a filter which could block all post titles that contain the expression "OUR TEAM LOST:" and/or "OUR TEAM WON:". That seems like a good work around, yes?

I picked up the 3 last month. I do use the headphone feature, since I'm using a monitor as a screen and the audio on it is pretty awful. But if you don't need it, might be better to just get the 2.

Still in early access, so rough graphics, but that's not the important part of the game. It's a topdown view like an RTS, but it's not quite an RTS. You crashland on a planet with only a few scraps of iron. You use the iron to make a pickaxe, then you use the pickaxe to mine stone, then you use the stone to make a furnace, then you use the furnace to smelt iron ore you mined with your pickaxe, then before you know it, it's 30 hours later and it's Monday morning and you have to go to work. But you've built a factory that can launch a rocket in to space.

I just finished reading the book, "The Only Rule Is It Has to Work" (Amazon). It's about two baseball writers who get the chance to help run an independent-league baseball team for a summer. It was an interesting read, but was ultimately a little bit of a let down. Of course, the authors couldn't put half of their stat-based ideas into play. They were not the managers- they were basically advisers. They had to get buy-in from the actual manager and the players to implement ideas. Sometimes they worked, and sometimes they were left frustrated when their suggestions were ignored. If you're a fan of baseball, it's worth a read.
MLB is removing the streaming blackout restriction for streaming, but I think they are just shifting the rights to the individual teams, doesn’t mean it will be easier for cord cutters. I saw a great thread on it in r/baseball last month, I’ll see if I can find it.
I’ll second using a VPN service (like Hola, Private Internet Access, or a myriad of other services) with to get around the restrictions. Been doing that for the past few years, no complaints.

Go to MLBTV and do the enter you zip code thing, it will tell you which teams will be blacked out in your area. If any of the blacked out teams play the World Champion Royals, both home and away games will be black out against them. If that's the case, get a VPN;
For dependable service, you should get a paid VPN. I used to use Unblock us (5$/mo.), I now use PIA (Private Internet Access, I got it for 2/yrs @ 45$). They both work well. I would use PIA even if it cost more, because I can use it for everything. Read up on what they both do.
If you would like to try PIA when you get MLBTV, pm me and I'll let you use mine. Unblockus has a free trial, while I think PIA has a week refund deal. Again, check out what they both do. There are also tons of other VPNs', these are the ones I can vouch for.

If you are in the KC area (i.e. blacked out) you will need to use some kind of VPN. I use UnblockUS https://portal.unblock-us.com/. It's $5 a month (use the one week free trial), but no hassles. I have also used Hola https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hola&hl=en , it's free. Last time I used it I signed in from Finland to get MLB/TV.
Comes in a surprisingly well-adorned/fancy cardboard box and the ingredients on the wrappers are in french, which is kinda neat! The middle 3 are my faves but all were great. Yeah I do this. I got MLB TV for free from T-Mobile and I have ExpressVPN because, well, VPNs are pretty good to have in general (also i "acquire (in a very legal manner)" large amounts of anime from the internet). You don't have to set your VPN to Germany specifically to get Royals games, just anywhere not in KC.
ExpressVPN is what I have used. It works good enough on my phone/ipad and firestick. Sometimes I get notified by my ESPN app or MLB app about a score before it happens while i'm watching so there is definitely a lag, but to be expected when streaming I guess.

I use Hideman to get aroudn the blackout on MLB.tv and watch the games on my computer, or hook my laptop up to my TV. It's $15 for 60 days, but it's worked well so far.

Have you tried any services like Unlocator? I use for games but I live in socal so it works great. However I get black outs during national televised games or when we play the Angels.
I've used Unlocator on my PS4, PC, and Amazon Fire for blacked out games before in the past. Perhaps it might be a solution for you?
Now that the season is over I can finally stop bitching about how annoying is, how Playstation Vue doesn't have Fox Sports Kansas City (and to an extent how expensive and crappy Comcast is) and how Unlocator is a pain in the ass.
