This gives you a disposable email address to "confirm email" when creating accounts. The email address disappears in 10 minutes, and you never get any spam as a result.
You can create a disposable email account which will delete itself after 10 minutes. Great for those pesky websites that you need to sign up for.
I'll match that.
OP please provide an email attached to your paypal account so we can send you money. If you'd prefer to keep your email private, you can simply create a new email address (or use a service like 10minutemail and add it to your account. Then provide that email to us and we can send you money.
If you need something non-paypal / quicker, I can send you money using Chase's QuickPay. I'll need an email for that too. You'll get a link, enter your checking account info and it'll be transferred in. Not sure on how long that takes, I think that depends on the receiving bank.
Important:
There is a user who PM'd me called /u/igivefreinsults_ (note the missing e) giving a PayPal e-mail with "bitbooms" in it. If you sent money to that paypal user, be aware that the person receiving your money is not OP. You can contact Paypal's customer service and explain the situation to attempt to receive your money. Or cancel it. I don't know - I haven't used Paypal in quite some time.
The most useful website I've ever gotten from lists like this is http://10minutemail.com/ - for when you need an email to confirm an account on some site you don't care about and don't want junk mail from.
10 minute mail. Greatest thing ever. Want to get access to that coupon code or get a hold of that whitepaper but DON'T want to give your real email address and endure a lifetime of SPAM and your account being passed around like a cheap hooker on a naval ship? Get an email address for 10 minutes so you can respond to the email verification and get access. Then it disappears without a trace.
With Chrome, you can delete the elements of the page that are blocking you from using it by right clicking them and selecting "inspect element". It will open the source code for the page and highlight the element you selected.
Delete a few things (Things you highlight on the code are highlighted on the page so it's pretty intuitive) and you can use it, no account required.
Of course, if you wanted to use it regularly, making an account would probably be a slightly smaller hassle. You could use a 10 minute e-mail account for it and just forget about pinterest until you need it.
Use the 10minute email site.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/
You can have an valid email address that lasts 10 minutes. You can receive email to this address, so that you can get the activation notification from the site.
trbvm.com is a disposable email service: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Please, tell me how this is at all 'doxxing' when it's not even a proper email account.
Oh wait, it's Gators distorting stuff to make Anita look bad.
(And there's another use of 'devaluing men', which appeared on that 'invisible benefits of gaming while female' list. Is this something Gators have picked up from someone?)
For people who don't want to give their e-mail to sign the petition, here's a site that gives you a temporary e-mail account for ten minutes: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
After all this shit from Esea I wanted to go ahead and delete my account. Turns out this isn't possible. So I did the following: Created 10 minute mail in http://10minutemail.com/ . replaced that email to my Esea account and changed all my information something like "FUCK ESEA" with description "Esea doesn't let me delete my account". After that I noticed that I cannot delete my steam id from Esea account. So I created new Steam account with that ten minute email address and replaced this steam ID to ESEA account. Now there's zero information on my ESEA account so it's kinda deleted? :D
Enter an email to view website content has got to be the dumbest decision a web designer can make. Especially if the goal is to sell merchandise.
edit: check out http://10minutemail.com/ for you guys that really want to get past the email thing.
You know, if 15,000 or 20,000 redditors were to register throwaway steam accounts using http://10minutemail.com and were to "login in" on this to is jackass's free scam service, the resulting worthless accounts would bury any real accounts that he managed to fool people out of.
Not that I think we should be anybody's army or anything like that, just trolling the scammer.
Two anon re-mailers right off the top of my head:
If you're paranoid, connect to TOR and then create an account.
If you're really paranoid, buy a cheap laptop with cash on craigslist. Drive out of town until you find a random open wifi spot. Connect to a VPS hosted in another country, running OpenVPN and setup with a fake name. From your VPS, connect to a rented, boted system you got the credentials for from a nefarious source. Install and run Tor on that machine. Finally, load the page in chrome incognito mode. When finished, melt laptop into a heap of slag, preferably with thermite.
Like everyone else, I was fed up with the dumb layout of the site. So I found a way to directly get to the page to vote for Ethan & Hila. You still have to sign up to vote though. If you don't want to connect via Facebook and/or don't want to use you actual email, use a disposable email address from a website like 10 Minute Mail or Guerrilla Mail
(computer voice) "Would you like to play a game?"
1) Generate a list of fake names, using fakenamegenerator.com Print out the list and keep it.
2) Visit retail stores and fill out their "member" cards, with fake name and your real address. Be sure to note on print out which store got which name.
3) Get trial subscriptions, enter contests, clear computer cookies and rejoin websites, etc., with fake names.
4) Find out who sells and trades your personal information, based on the spam you get.

(computer voice again) "Remember that nobody wants to know about you for your benefit."
Protip: Use 10 Minute Mail to create an account and not have to tie it to your actual email so you can get the DLC.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
I almost thought that Harmonix got hacked at first and that someone was spamming their account... interesting choice for a partnership.
PSN Seems to be down for Server Maintenance for redeeming codes, but Xbox should be good to go right now I think.
Update: just use the method mentioned here by /u/Mafklappert https://www.reddit.com/r/Rockband/comments/3sevsn/free_song_from_the_barbazons_in_rock_band_4_for/cwwkmvz (but you still may not want to use your real email address)
They might have had unrelated spam issues. I don't think you can require email verification for just one user, and they can't see you address anyway. They're just mods, not admins. Hell dude I'm a mod on some subreddits.
Anyway, here you go. It's how I validated my email address.
FYI:
It wants a lot of information but you can use Ten Minute Mail to get a temporary email address. On the second screen, where it asks for your phone number, that is an optional field that you don't have to fill out.
Life Hack :
If people don't want to use their email addresses, they can create a mail box with a lifespan of 10 minutes which will be enough to deal with the confirmation email : http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Here is how I would get started:
Unless your intentions are illegal, the above should suffice. An alternative to the above would be doing everything from a public computer that cannot be tied to you (Hard to come by these days.) or skip the VPN and do everything on public networks (this will jeopardize the email and blog security).
If nothing else, I hope this points you in the right direction!
EDIT: If all you want to do is keep it secret from family, friends etc then http://10minutemail.com/ and http://blog.com/ will do the trick, just make sure to copy the temporary email adress (as it is your blog.com login id) and the blog password as you wont be able to recover it in any way.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html <- get an email there, register a facebook account with randomly spammed in name, use one of those mails, register account, link account, link steam to that account, unlink it again and then go on your merry way and forget you ever touched facebook. \o/
edit: also you can be happy you are clogging up the facebook database with useless information! win-win
Serious: Here is what you should do. You know the username is "Lainswor", might be short for something like Lainsworth because the computer will only allow 8 characters when creating the username. Assuming it's one of your neighbors that did this, why don't you do an online property search for free to the homes in your area. Here is one that I use.
http://www.propertyshark.com/mason/
I think it will only allow one address search with Owner name per Email for free. You would have to sign up using another email address to get another Free Search. You can always use the Website 10 minute email just to create an account for all the homes you want to look up.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/
Now if it's not one of your neighbors or it's not from a Home Owner and just a Renter, than of course this name won't show up at all. If I were you I would do what the other Redditors have suggested as well as doing a little research to see what you can find out. Good Luck, and hopefully it's just some kid playing a Prank on you.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
I always use this to register new grindr accounts. Make sure to keep the page open for a while and possibly extend an extra 10mins in case grindr sends verification mails.
I do not trust grindr with my passwords because their IT is piss poor. Downside is when my phone died unexpectedly I have no idea what the email address was so I had to register a new one.
Thanks for the reply. It's a good point.
> If you want to discuss this idea, you have to give me your email address.
They do accept obvious throwaway accounts (like http://10minutemail.com) for verification though.
To get the $58.49 price, sign up for their email newsletter (use 10MinuteMail if you don't want to use your real email address) to get 10% off your first purchase of $50 or more.
If you're buying online, you can also use eBates or Great Canadian Rebates for 3% or 4% cash-back, respectively.
I'd jump on this but I bought into the last sale back in September so I don't really need them.
A useful site if you want to sign up for an account but not have to put up with newsletters or the chance of an organisation selling your email to spammers: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Major rule of life: Nobody wants to know anything about you for your benefit. And once information about you is in databases, private or public, it remains there likely not just for your life, but to be used in reference to your spouse, children and grandchildren. Especially DNA, which you should hold on to like treasure.
Therefore, refuse to cooperate with efforts to gather information about you. Keep a randomized list of names for use whenever you have any inclination to submit personal information. Even the most innocuous inquiries can prove to be venomous.
http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
For instance, if you take out or renew a magazine subscription, use a false name, and you will discover who that magazine has sold its subscriber list to. I am still receiving spam directed at dogs I owned 20 years ago.
One anecdote. The Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor offered a free banana split to all children on their birthday, if they registered. In financial difficulties, Farrell's sold the list of children's information, children now adults, to the US Selective Service, so they to find out if the boys had registered for the draft.
It is never too late to protect your information, or routinely attempt to corrupt what data other people have about you. Until it is too late, and you become a victim.
And it's damn near impossible to get a free email address. There's literally no way.
I'd love it if they went the neogaf way: Verify with a work, ISP, or university email. Nothing else.
If you're so inclined:
Ten minute mail is pretty handy for handling that pesky "verify email address" problem.
Of course that doesn't change the fact that reddit is getting worse on a daily basis.
Some tips.
Mentioning coontown on other subs -- even sarcastically, as in "Some coontowners don't even believe that 6 billion were turned into lampshades and soap during the holocaust!1" -- is great exposure.
Don't wanna lose your account to an enemy-sympathizing mod? Don't use it!
Sign up for a new one. You can use 10 minute email for a quick, temporary email account:

... and leverage this into new reddit, twitter, etc. accounts.
Hi. I was California born in 1948, and I am definitely a veteran of the drug scene and wars. I do not promote the use of drugs but I do not condemn it either. For this old hippie, the personal consequences of being addicted to drugs and alcohol were mentally, spiritually, and physically horrific. That being said, I do not regret the fact that I used drugs and alcohol: In the best of times, it was fun and made me aware of so many things. But for this addict, the realization that I could not control my substance abuse and the assurance of where it will take me, has kept me clean and sober for almost a year. I wish I were not an addict/alcoholic but I am and I know where it takes me; mental institutions, prisons, or death. Most people are not like me, and can use alcohol and/or drugs responsibly. I was the second person to sign a petition to pardon Chris Williams from an 80 year sentence for farming medical marijuana as permitted by Montana law. You can find it at: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/pardon-chris-williams-80-year-sentence-farming-medical-marijuana-permitted-montana-law/nTWfBD3z?utm_source=wh.gov&utm_medium=shorturl&utm_campaign=shorturl An email address is asked for, but one can use email addresses of the type found at: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html We must stop making war on our children and decent Americans. Peace !
Create a throwaway email address and e-mail the people you remember are on the list and you care about. Use 10 minute mail to send it. Don't add anything identifiable.
Do your boss' know you saw the list?
I'm not understanding. Are you having trouble adding it to your cart? Just click the link provided, then do "sign up a new account". Use a -10 minute mail if do not want to use your address. Then click on the special offer, scroll down, and click on the product. Add to cart, then checkout, then use promo code.
Well, you can try changing your password to something random that you cannot remember easily, for example you can generate a random 24-character password here: www.random.org/passwords/
After that, change your account email to this mail, which is destroyed after 10 minutes. http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
So, now you have an account with mail that doesn't exist after 10 minutes, and with the password that you can't remember. So it will be very hard to login into game, and you cannot recover your password.
Heres a link to making a fake email usable for 10 mins. I thought this make take at least a min or two to sign up and email verify but this took less than 20 secs.
Just tried it. It's legit. If anyone is curious the process is simple.
download app
create account using your email or just use a throwaway at 10minutemail.com like I did
open app
click "offers" on the sidebar (on the left)
click "electronics"
find the "PS4 all bundles" offer and click it
it's now added to your account
when you get to your local Target store have the cashier scan your personal barcode (my barcode) on your phone and enjoy 10% off your brand new PS4 (I'm leaving to pick up mine now)
thank you OP
The website is going SOOOOO slow
Edit: looks like its back to normal. I was able to check out smoothly.
4% Cash Back with Ebates
Extra 25% off with email sign up (at bottom right of page).
Use <strong>10 Minute Mail</strong> for a disposable email address.
Try Mailinator or 10 Minute Mail for a temporary address.
Also if you have a gmail address you can test entering your address in a few different ways, they will all go into your account
When you open the page a popup should say "sign up and save."
Otherwise you can scroll all the way down and there's a box to the right of store locator
Use http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html for emails
You can often tell what a person's thinking by what they do.
I've since seen this elsewhere. I just wanted to leave a comment about some news at Popvox, but I wanted to avoid having to leave my email, make a password, etc. just to make the one comment.
So I thought that simply clicking on "Just use your Facebook Login to make a comment!" was going to be straightforward. I got they need some kind of hook to prevent spammers, etc. It's simple enough. I mean, I could have simply provided them with a fake or temporary email.
But then, they asked me:
http://i.imgur.com/ieUz0.png
And at that point I realized they hoped I was AN IDIOT and wanted EVERYTHING. They wanted to turn my PC and the $55 a month I pay for my internet into THEIR PROPERTY which they would ALLOW me to use and they could just sell me stuff with it (not a lot unlike what my cable TV's turned into).
While I didn't click the button I can't help but wonder how many of my technologically STUPID friends WOULD, and then... "All my Facebooks belong to them".
I W A N T T O K I L L I S A A C when you take the spaces out, IT's the password to that twitter account. It was only logged into ONCE and it was last night, during the event. I have an IP address, and an email, which originates from a TEMPORARY email address site called trbvm.com
First : http://10minutemail.com - if you're gonna make multiple accounts, this is a great way to do it. Second : The site is currently experiencing some issues either with auth or cdn or something but give it a day and you should be okay.
Also, no, you don't need to go to their website. There is a wiki page creatd by the community that keeps track of all released codes.
Thank god for http://10minutemail.com/. Nowadays I don't think about this and I certainly don't care if I fill up your database with useless dummy accounts. You made me sign up, I'll give you crap and see what you're all about before I even consider using my genuine account.
Set up your other accounts to forward to the same inbox. This is easy to do through gmail. Also, perhaps instead of the "junk" address, just use a disposable email? I use 10 Minute Mail frequently. It's highly convenient.
If i ever need to sign up for something that i don't intend to use afterwards, or have no interest in recieving mail from I use ten minute mail
disposable mail service. easy. quick. fast. No need to worry about the mail address, just copy paste, receive confirmation etc.
See here:
http://www.destructoid.com/here-s-10-000-codes-for-the-spinfusor-in-tribes-ascend-226273.phtml
And here's an awesome site if you don't want to give destructoid your real email when you register:
Yeah and some people don't like standing in a line. Some people don't like watching commercials while others don't want to use PayPal.
There will always be some minor inconvenience when purchasing media/goods legally as opposed to pirating them. When you use excuses like that you sound like a spoiled child. Don't be surprised when publishers don't take your criticism seriously.
Besides I didn't download the Radiohead album but I'm guessing they required your mail to avoid abuse. Nobody kept monkorn from using a temporary mail like 10minutemail.
If you want to download the video and not have to register an account with gametrailers you can install the Firefox addon VideoDownloadHelper.
After Installing the addon and restarting firefox, the addon should appear on your navigation bar and will allow you to download videos from gametrailer, youtube, dailymotion and many other websites.
The file extension on the video is .flv, so either get the codecs to view this with whatever media player you prefer. I recommend VLC media player which has great support for nearly every video i've wanted to view.
If you'd rather not use firefox, you can try your luck at using bugmenot for dummy accounts or create your own dummy account with a temporary 10 minute email.
edit: .flv is the file extension, Flash Video is the file format.
Yeah, but you can go to Ten Minute Mail and have it sent there, though. Gives you a randomly generated email address and inbox for ten minutes with no sign up and no hassle.
If you don't want to let it spam your email, just use 10 minute mail.
You obviously have to make an account and register still, but at least you don't have to make a new email and shit if you don't want it linked to your email.
cant you just use 10 minute mail instead?
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
it generates a random email address so you can sign up for shit, confirm the account and then the account gets deleted.
I didn't read Part II because you haven't posted it yet.
Lots of people use different words like spells, work, energy or whatever. This is not a sign of anything really. I can even accept the demon thing. She sounded legit up until she asked $2000, this seems a lot to me, but I live in Latin America so others might disagree, no idea really.
To tell you the truth I'm almost sure you are the one making everything happen, be it good or bad. You are influenced by this situations, but the one in control is you. The first encounter with her gave you hope (or whatever it is) and your situation started to get better. Then you started to doubt and everything started to fall apart.
You can quickly post Part II if you cheat reddit using this for the mail thing.
Hate to tell you but your name and address is almost surely already for sale on marketing databases. As for the email address, you should have a site like this bookmarked already anyway. http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
So turns out I already owned it.. somehow..
Anyway, here's the extra key: V60MB-9XI94-KCXB6
And for people who don't wanna give away their emails/too lazy to log into their email/don't want to make a throwaway email/[insert your excuse here], I just used 10 Minute Mail to get the key. Worked like a charm.
https://www.siriusxm.com/freetrial
Just keep signing up to a free-trial. Use http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html to create a temp email address (you won't need the function of the email, it merely serves as a login name on Sirius)
If all you want to do is keep it secret from family, friends etc then http://10minutemail.com/ and http://blog.com/ will do the trick, just make sure to copy the temporary email adress (as it is your blog.com login id) and the blog password as you wont be able to recover it in any way.
It kind of is. Ever wondered why you get so much spam e-mail? It's because you have to be careful not to give your email to suspicous sources. Now I don't want to attack or be harsh to OP, s/he probably has good intentions, but we just can't know and it's difficult to provide reasons to trust someone with these things. Many places, both large and small, sell your email to spammers/advertisers.
If you are very careful with who you give your email to, you can avoid spam very effectively. Unfortuantely you're bound to trip up eventually, but you'll still get much less of it. One of my email accounts didn't see a single spam email for at least 1 year, possible 1.5 years. I thank 10 minute mail for that. It makes things so much easier when you can actually check your spam box for false positives without sorting through 99+% junk emails.
On the login screen, right click the login field. From the text menu, select "log in with BugMeNot".
Another option, if you don't want to give out your real e-mail address, is 10minutemail.com.
Really old hotmail account, old gmail account that everyone has as contact, new 'anonymous' account for online games and forums, new 'business' account . All forward to the business account.
Then I have two throwaway accounts and this.
Indeed :3 And also, I forgot that making a cute face on reddit fucks up the formatting <.< Damn it D:
edit! a relevant link for this operation: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
yep. just type your IMEI here and then paste the results here (you need an account but it takes only a minute to make and you dont need to use your real email)
Don't:
Do:
I have an email account I use specifically for spam and websites that require an account. You can also use 10 Minute Mail for a temporary email address :)
Yes, but an email address only has to work for long enough to receive the sign up email and click a confirmation link.
I could jump into one of my domains and create a temporary email in order to receive the confirmation email and click the link, then destroy the address. Alternatively, services like 10 Minute mail auto-generate a fully functional email address which you can use to receive an email, and then the address simply self-detonates after 10 minutes.
The majority of the invalid addresses are likely these. However that number probably includes some people who legitimately signed up and have since abandoned the email address associated with their account.

Hey everyone, back in school i used to use this all the time. Since their coupons are so annoying, you should just make a temporary email address from a site like 10 minute mail. You can keep signing up for new accounts using different emails to get the coupon again. From experience, you can rarely use this deal with others though, so it might be better to use a different deal from their site although it is generally expensive either way.
Just a tip, anyone who signs this must authenticate their signature via email and zip code. To avoid having a mysterious black van show up outside your house, I recommend using http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html and a fake name. Cheers!
Related: 10 Minute Mail is great to use as a throw away email without the hassle of actually creating an account. You can cut down on spam email massively if you make good use of it, though obviously it won't stop spam that you're already getting.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Edit: Just realised how much of a shill I sound like. Whatever, it's an awesome service.
http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
By clicking on the link below, you will be given a temporary e-mail address. Any e-mails sent to that address will show up automatically on the web page. You can read them, click on links, and even reply to them. The e-mail address will expire after 10 minutes.
Remember to use disposable email address and do not give your real phone number. I'm sure you will be spammed.
10 Minute Mail works fine.
>By entering this competition you agree that Bauer Media (publisher of heat, FHM) and our carefully selected network of partners can keep you informed of special offers and promotions by email and free mobile messaging. Do the "judges" or whatever look at each individual e-mail? Or do they just look at how many e-mails you have? If they're just looking at the number, 10 Minute Mail is your best friend.
That's the link for email signup. Protip, if you don't want to get BR emails, sign up using a 10 minute email account here: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
All the emails were through trbvm.com, a disposable email service: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html[1]
If it's a temporary throwaway email which exists only to send a death threat, how is this doxxing? This sub is always gullible but this is egregiously so.
That one appears to be a spam site domain squatting on a misspelled version of the domain http://10minutemail.com/
Probably best if you remove it.
For emails, you should use http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html whenever possible. Mainly for things you don't and won't care about it, since you can never get the email back.
Use it properly and you can not only help your privacy but mitigate a huge amount of spam emails. I'm not the most cautious person in the world when it comes to my email, but even with moderate usage of 10 minute mail I now only get about 2 spam emails a week, all of which get caught on the filter.
That's why I use sites like 10 minute mail for things like this --you can monitor if they need you to confirm or anything for those 10 minutes (or extend a bit if you need to), but no worries about it following you. Used it for years when I need to temporarily register for something. Some smarter sites will blacklist the various addresses and not allow their use, but this, unsurprisingly, wasn't one of them.
thats why i use bugmenot.com ...
some websites have found ways to resist bugmenot others don't care. but i always try to use a bugmenot account because it saves time.
another trick is to use this website: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Which generates a temporary email for you to use for 10 minutes. You still have to go through the signup process, but it can help prevent gunking up your real email/s
Username created, logged in, voted. Good luck.
EDIT: By the way, I know registration will deter some potential voters: just use Mailinator or 10 Minute Mail or some other temporary email service. It won't take long and the way this is set up it seems like a few votes could make the difference.
btw this website: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
would not at all help anyone in easily making several fake accounts for anything. I don't recommend anyone use it.
edit: it turns out they dont even confirm your email, so i guess it isn't needed..
One could get used to it, no? :-) In some people this 'glasses on' effect is very pronounced. For me it was there, but not very outlined. It kinda crept up on me. I used these checklist to keep track. This could be helpful for you as well. Darn, now I have to search and see if there is a free one available...ah, Additude has one. https://www.additudemag.com/download/adhd-medication-monitoring-log/ Use http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/ with it, if so desired.
consider using http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html in the future, it creates an junk mail that you can use for 10 minutes and then disappears (with the option to increase it by 10 minutes when needed)
Due esami, poi vacanza, date.

This game was long on my radar, but I never got the opportunity to try it out - thanks for this chance!
10 Minute Mail has long been near the top of my bookmark bar since I first heard of it. It's a quick and convenient way to create throwaway email addresses (to sign up for websites without worrying about spam, etc.)
> I used to listen to the Skepticality podcast. Not sure what happened to that.
It's still going. Episode 262 was the most recent episode. Of course, the best skeptic podcast has to be The Reality Check.
Your answer about the joys of modding CMV was the best. Glad you enjoy it so much.
> I think it requires you to make an account and I hate that.
10 minute e-mail is what you need.
This website provides you a temporary 10 minute email address for those of you who do not like to have an email specifically for spam. I got the confirmation email within 1 minute.
do not use your real email - event though your number doesn't get displayed anymore it doesn't get deleted and they will also have your email and phone number synced for your profile.
use a temporary email to confirm: http://10minutemail.com/10MinuteMail/index.html
Here is a quick, yet very effective method to block porn. Please excuse my errors, I am not an native english speaker.
Step 1 : Create a disposable email adress - 10minutemail.com might help you do this
Step 2 : Install K9 Web Protection and use the aforementionned email address to retrieve your K9 user licence.
Step 3 : Create a random password and DO NOT WRITE DOWN . Just make sure you can access it while you are fine tuning K9 . Juste paste it in your clipboard and you'll be good to go.
Step 4 :* the crucial part* - configure K9 Web Protection so that all kind of stimuli would be blocked . But make sure you don't let it become too much restrictive (i.e forcing https connexion, redirect your searches to k9 search , blocking some websites you need in order to get stuff done, etc.)
Step 5 : Clear the clipboard and reboot the computer. Then enjoy a porn free computer experience .
As a side note, this is not a kill all solution. When the urges will kick in (and oh boy, it will happen sooner than you think) you might find yourself googling "how to remove K9 without password" like a sex crazed fool. (this is how I ended my last streak. It happened yesterday. How embarrassing)
pro tip : just google it now, save the resulting url and it to the K9 "always block". You might also want to activate google safe mode by default and get rid of any access to video sharing platforms : there are a lot of suggestive/questionnable material 'round these parts.
TL;DR : use a temporary disosable email adress to install K9, then use a random password to configure it.
Stay strong.
In case no one knows about it and wants easy quick emails, use 10 minute mail.
It generates an email which lasts for 10 minutes, then deletes the email. Disposable emails for all!
Read the T&Cs when signing upto a website. Some state that by accepting, you are happy for them to sell your details to third party companies that will send you emails.
Unless it's something important, use a mailinator or 10 minute mail account instead to sign up to spammy looking websites.
To fix your temp password problem, I suggest you do what I did. I set the e-mail to a throwaway adress and wrote down the password and stored it somewhere somewhat out of reach. This makes me more mindful and less impulsive about relapsing.
It's Steam policy - you can't send more then 2 same gifts to the same email acc. Here is the solution: http://10minutemail.com/ Just as you enter the site they give you temp email and you can have dozens. That's a way to get all your gifts.
Not sure of the veracity of your assertions. But just in case, people can avoid possible spam and "targeting" by using an email service such as this one.
Free email address that exists for 10 minutes, then is deleted. I use it for things that require email activation for an account, but which I don't trust with my real email address.
Essentially a burner email address.
Trashmail, 10MinuteMail or NotSharingMy.info are three services with slightly different approaches that will get you a better functionality.
I'd use NotSharingMyInfo for this, it creates a permanent forwarding/proxy Email Adress that'll send the Emails to your real adress, if they spam you you just delete it.
