Yuhp, you can see it in action here, and read up on how Unreal Engine (Fortnight/PUBG) handles it here.
There is a setting in ROE's config file for LOD bias (the strength of the transitions), but I haven't tinkered around with that file yet.
Although, texture flickering sounds like Z-fighting, where textures occupieing the same screenspace are competing to be rendered, which could mean their most distant LODs arent constructed correctly. Hard to tell without seeing a video ;)
Why are here still so many people taking a photo of their screen?
It shouldn't bother me that much, but steam is making it so easy for everybody. Hit F12, its the default key for screenshots in steam (no matter the game). Or use https://getsharex.com/
Try this:

Connection TimeOut
errors are caused by some Internet service providers blocking connections to the main menu. The developers are aware of this and working on a solution. In the meantime, there are two methods that can be used. Change your DNS settings: - 1. Press WIN + R on your keyboard, enter
and press enter. - 2. Right-click your network adapter and select Properties. - 3. Find Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) (or Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv4)) in the list and select Properties. - 4. Choose Use the following DNS server addresses:, set Preferred DNS server to
1.1.1.1
(or
2606:4700:4700::1111
) and Alternate DNS server to
1.0.0.1
(or
2606:4700:4700::1001
), and click OK. - 5. Start Ring of Elysium. If changing your DNS settings does not solve the issues, establish a VPN connection with the use of for example TunnelBear just to launch the game. Once you're in the main screen you can close the VPN and play normally.
it has been on Steam since the announcement but like the website, it has not been updated since.
they are probably waiting for the game for be in some sort of EA stage but it is now already polished enough to be released for Steam already (with the game now has more features than ever since pre-release/CBT1 especially some official localization for most of the players) but I'm guessing that they want the game to be in the same state as the trailer (with destruction, night time, etc.) before releasing it on Steam.
What country are you connecting to? It's best to connect to the same country or region when playing because the speeds are better that way. I've been playing and using NordVPN but I always connect to the closest country I am located to, then the speeds are decent
I usually have 180ms to 220ms to EU servers (from portugal) If I use Private Internet Access VPN and connect to a frankfurt server I have the same latency but if I use the Speedify and connect to a frankfurt server I get 40-70ms so thank you now I can actually play the game
Maybe try switching servers a little bit, looking for a faster one. Because NordVPN usually doesn't make my games lag, but I need to find the best servers, with best I mean the less busy ones and those that are closer to where I live.
Create an NA steam account with the VPN activated. I use the trial version of 'CyberGhost' and it works perfectly. Just created the NA account and RoE popped up but of course it releases in 3 hours time so I'll install then off my NA account.
it's already on Steam since dec. 2017, but its currently unreleased and details are not updated (still says English is not supported). I'm guessing they're waiting for the game to progress first (better now that the english option exists) until its trailer reveal state (with destructible environments and other missing features in current CBT) before opening it up to some Early Access level, but the game already as is feels way beyond EA, so hopefully they do announce something soon
It could be that.
The way refraction works in game engines right now is that they render everything but transparency, then they do a standalone transparency pass for glass and water. To do refraction they move the sampling coordinates in response to the refraction shaders calculated result. It gives passable refraction for glass and things but looks terrible on curved surfaces or water near the edge of the screen.
Their refraction shader could just be dumb and not well thought out and be trying to use the camera view direction for some reason, which from some angles might give a zero refraction value. I've seen (and done) something similar when messing around with shaders before I fully knew what I was doing (I eventually made this.)
Whoopsie.

Your point sucks. Mostly - Russian internet is better than most of the Eastern europe like Poland / Romania and etc.
Btw - Russia, not Rusia.
Sure. This page explains it all in detail. Just make sure to set the pagefile on another physical support. Two partitions on a hard drive won't work as it's the same physical media working.
I play on a potato so I was already experiencing this issue on Dione. Apparently buildup is quite disk and memory-intensive, probably loading and caching models and textures in a not-so-optimized way.
Solved it 80% (buildup still takes a few seconds on some places especially on the first rounds but it's quite playable now) by moving the pagefile to another physical device. This way paging occurs on one disk while loading/caching takes place on another, balancing the load.
In order to make this work you need two separate physical devices, moving the pagefile to another partition on the same hard drive would be pointless.
Another hard drive. Moving to another partition on the same drive wouldn't change a thing, as the reads / writes would occur on the same device. Moving the swap file to another hard drive will balance disk activity, the RoE client accessing one drive while Windows manages virtual memory on another. It will improve your overall Windows experience and will help your client running smoother. Please note this is true for hard disks but might not be the case if you own a (faster) SSD. In that case, better leave the swap file on the SSD (though it wears out the SSD) and maybe move the client to the hard disk, then do some testing.
Here is a link explaining how to proceed: https://winaero.com/blog/how-to-move-page-file-in-windows-10-to-another-disk/
When did I ever mention having a titan? Moreover, titans are made for data science, AI research, content creation and general GPU development. Not for gaming. Once again you demonstrate that even in your attempted hyperbole, you don't really know what you're talking about.
ROE is 15 - 20GB on disk, which is really tiny compared to the majority of games nowdays. You should use crystaldiskmark ( https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskmark/ ) to benchmark your storage drives, cause something with your setup is super funky.
I will try that for sure i also play in first person but when i right click on the mouse i can scope but if i keep maintain my click it look like "Middle aim" https://medal.tv/clips/14163180/km133710tChc4 In this clip i always use that "aim" really sorry it's hard to explain it in english for me thank you to trying to understanding me
Our country has won a few speedtest awards, https://www.speedtest.net/awards/iceland/2018/?award_type=isp&time_period=q1-q2 So my network connection is not the problem.
I have the same ISP, lots of people on ROE discord have high ping with Digi at the moment.
Try ProtonVPN (it's free), my ping on German or French servers was around 50ms with it.
Don't give up on ROE yet :D
Did you try this?

I use NordVPN, they have a no-questions asked policy so you can just use a 1 minute e-mail adress for their 3 day trial. Another guy on this subreddit recommended something like windscribe vpn, which might be better, idk.
the guide i used btw , have fun!
1, You only need to use a VPN to log in, you can turn it off as soon as it opens.
2, I personally use ProtonVPN, and have had no problems:
3, If you are constantly lagging / disconnecting ( unplayable ) a re-install should fix it
4, I don't know if it is just placebo, but launching ROE from your steam library feels better
