They aren't the cheapest, but I've found these cameras to be super-reliable so far... ^(note the lack of affiliate bullshit)
They've been plugged in and running, basically 24/7 for the past three months... one in the basement, one in the garage (testing different environments)
Plus they support ONVIF out of the box, so if you have something like BlueIris, or other NVR software, you could get a recording of how they're pulling it off.
Don't worry, you're not at fault in any way! Keep on doin what you're doin :)--<

My Kenyan sand boa is not afraid of boops like my ball python. He refused to take frozen-thawed food, but other than that he's the easiest of my three snakes to keep. He stays tiny and adorable and needs no humidity.
He's not fine just adapted to shitty care. There is less herp activity during full moon. Just cause he can fully dilate his pupils doesn't mean anything. They're nocturnal. Go out tomorrow and get a che or quit whinging about being wrong. And what care guides? Alot of the ball python care guises are horribly out of date by at least 30 years. You're forcing your snake to have 24 hours of constant light. It has no natural day and night cycle. Imagine if you had absolutely no sunlight ever and had to constantly stumble in the dark. We all make mistakes but if you get all up in arms and go off on a rant from hell everytime someone points out a mistake then you shouldn't have an animal. If you can't afford a che how are you gonna afford a vet visit? How are you gonna afford a few months of frozen rats? Yeah the light is dim but their eyes are more sensitive to the light. They have to be to see in the dark.

Here about 30 bucks to heat your animals cage without shovi g a brightest in its face at night. You can't afford 30 bucks? Really? If you can't afford this then you shouldn't have the animal. I have 300 at least set aside at all times for my animals. I'm working towards at least 500-600. A che is so much better. And I good it. A light dome and a red bulb were more expensive on Amazon then a che and a che dome. So what's your excuse?
To address your first question, rats and mice are different. If the breeder said she's eating ft (frozen thawed) hopper mice, then you shouldn't have any issues feeding her a small mouse. That is, if her set up is correct. Ball pythons don't ever really need to be eating mice to be honest. I know there are more differences between rats and mice than I'll get into here, but for one mice have higher fat than rats while rats are higher in protein and that's important for a growing ball python hatchling. She'll soon grow out of mice entirely so you should switch her to rats as soon as you can. But try to get her to eat what the breeder says she's been eating first.

Your comment about the temperature makes me concerned that you don't have a thermostat for your heating. You need to buy one immediately. This regulates the temperature of your heat mat. Otherwise (like you mentioned) it's going to get hot and stay hot. 103 is WAY too hot. You want to have her warm side at around 91. This amazon link is a very reliable brand of thermostat that a lot of people in the reptile community use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NZZG3S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You should also get a temperature gun if you don't have one to accurately check the temperature regularly and make any necessary adjustments.

I promise I will try my hardest to get the shake. She's been sleeping for the last few days until her new humidifier came in. Amazonhas an amazing one for $13.
So far 3 Peanut yawns, 0 Peanut shakes.
i’m not sure if you have amazon prime or if it even get there fast enough but Uniheat Shipping Warmer 40+ Hours (4pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006YEX6MA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pQ9vFbEK52S6N just be careful it doesn’t get too hot
Hah!! Good eye on the headphones! Yes they are. I got them a few days ago after my galaxy buds crapped out on me.
The keyboard is a Roccat. My whole setup is white minus my monitors and like one or two computer components. :)
If you have the right gloves, yes. They'll have multiple overlapping layers of puncture-resistant material so there's nowhere the fangs can get through.

It's no problem, I'm very glad to help! I've got a boa myself, and using the modern feeding protocol (developed by Vin Russo, a boa specialist) at 7 years of age now she's hit 7 feet long and is, according to my specialist vet, in absolutely phenomenal condition. :D If you do have the interest (and some cash to spare) I do highly recommend his book, The Most Complete Boa Constrictor - basically a boa bible!
That model of digital sensor has a lot of bad reviews for inaccuracy and not lasting very long.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004XNMHW4
This one has good reviews, and has at least one question/answer verifying that it lasted years for one customer for their reptile terrarium.
And in my experience, hatching eggs has a less of a tolerance for temp/humidity fluctuation than my reptiles.
Hopefully, it can help keep your hoggie in good health. <3
Of course! We got this from Chewy, I’ll link below. This one pictured is the ‘small’ size they have, and it seems fairly large to me.
In the future: Look into getting a battery bank like https://www.amazon.com/CyberPower-CP1500AVRLCD-Intelligent-Outlets-Mini-Tower/dp/B000FBK3QK/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1CHHRJZND9YIY&keywords=UPS+battery&qid=1641348129&sprefix=ups+batter%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-4

Possibly even get some thermal blankets to wrap the tank in. That way if power is ever out for an extended time you'll have time for it to come back on before needing to worry significantly.
This is a snek, it works by vigorously wiggling itself about. They are great companions and really engaging to watch or interact with.
Oh the puzzle! My bad.
This is a treat/food puzzle commonly used for dogs. It offers a form of mental stimulation and enrichment for the snek. Instead of sitting and being handed food items ("handed" I use feeding tongs but you get what I mean) this gives my snek the opportunity to use his senses and hunting skills (to a degree) and forces him to solve the puzzle to get his food.
Bottom line is it's a form of mental stimulation and enrichment. Snakes (all reptiles really) are a lot more intelligent than most people give them credit for and it's important to offer this kind of mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy.

I built a frame out of a few of the sticks and hot glued them together lol! theyre these mossy sticks 🙂
you can definitely screw things into PVC, just pre-drill the holes with the correct sized bit, and go slow so it doesn't crack. should be fine though. I got something like these and some reusable zip ties to run the cables on the insides of my enclosures. with the reusable zip ties you can change up the placement of ropes or replace them completely without wasting plastic. highly recommend
each loop hangs down freely but they each have knots on either end, so they don't just slide through the zip ties.
oh and lesson learned from watching her climb around: tie knots in all the ropes. she can really only use the ones with knots without sliding off
I used to use these cheap cat litter trays when I was rescuing reptiles and needed a bunch. Not attractive but gets the job done. It’s crazy how expensive hides are!
Update. I tried to get the tube replaced by searching for spare parts on the manufacturer's amazon acct and they do not sell spare parts. I contacted them via email and they answered quickly and are sending me a replacement tube. Free of charge. Very highly recommended. Great customer service.

We use this one for the heat pad, you set it at the temp you want and it turns the heating pad on and off depending on if it gets too cool or too hot.
And then we use this one just to monitor visually the temp and humidity of the environment. So far we’ve had no issues and they’re both fairly inexpensive.
Good luck with everything!
here’s mine . I tried looking for one that only does heat and humidity but couldn’t find any, so this is what I settled for
Only way to know is to measure.
Get a cheap IR thermometer and observe the temperatures on the hot and cool sides to make sure they're in appropriate ranges.
Did you use these?
This. He loves it; spends like 70% of his time either curled up inside it, wrapped around it, or poking his head out of one of the holes :)
