Try https://soundiiz.com. I think they have some free transfer possibilities. There are more services to transfer playlists and albums as well when you google.
Spotify are launching HIFI very soon, so you might want to give it another try. It's just CD quality for now I think, but who knows how it will develop.
Also Apple Music and Amazon have HIFI streaming, so I hope you'll be able to find a service you like. I'm sorry Turkey are are making shitty internet laws.
You can use third party software like https://soundiiz.com/ to easily manage your music, but I do agree with what you are saying. I switched to Tidal from Google Play music myself, and library management was much better there.
I have both. (Tidal Hifi and Spotify Premium) No worries. Tidal is for serious listening. But nowadays I am thinking to cancel my Spotify Premium because I found a really good site for discovering new albums. I will check this site for new releases and listen to albums on Tidal.
Tidal’s catalog is better than Qobuz if you’re in the US (I gather Qobuz’s catalog is better over the pond).
At the risk of my karma, given this is a Tidal reddit, I prefer Qobuz in terms of audio quality but, like I said, whether MQA is good or bad is bit of a religious argument.
I actually have Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, and Spotify subscriptions in my household. Some of that’s because of preferences other than my own and trying to keep the family peace. :)
I use mostly Qobuz, Tidal for stuff I can’t find in Qobuz, and sometimes Apple Music in my car because its CarPlay integration is better and it’s usually harder to tell the difference between 320 kbps and CD quality with road noise in play.
I also have a roon subscription (see https://roonlabs.com/), which lets me access Tidal, Qobuz, and my FLAC library through a unified interface to pretty much any of the speakers in my house. Depending on how crazy you get with the audiophile bug, the roon integration of Tidal is really nice.
Good luck, to you and your wallet. ;-)
Another option is soundiiz.com - the free version maxes out at 200 tracks per playlist.
I don't think you'd be able to link two Tidal accounts, but you could transfer to Soundiiz, or another service, and then back out again (at the risk of some matches failing).
I haven't seen a virus that starts infecting from a cache-file of a program. Most likely a simple random match on a patter.
You can try verifying the file with meta-scanners, like these:
https://metadefender.opswat.com/#!
https://www.virustotal.com/en/
If you get a couple of positives from obscure scanners, it could be a false positive. If you get a lot of red flags, then some cybernasty may has chewed into that file. In that case, there maybe more, too.
Have you tried Wavelet? System-wide EQ for Android without root, and it also supports AutoEQ profiles, that let you do very specific EQ to fix specific headphones to a target curve. Works with Tidal for me on all my Android devices.
I've been looking at this myself lately. There are a few options.
1) If you use Chromium, select Hifi and set your system volume output to max and your volume in the Tidal web app to max, it for some reason will output Master quality. So if you have a DAC connected, it will detect and decode it (works with my Ifi Zen DAC). HOWEVER it only works well on about half the tracks I've tried, others it is garbled. Weird bug.
2) You can use Roon on Linux https://roonlabs.com/. It works perfectly, HOWEVER it is designed to run on a standalone music system, and it installs as root and provides no security, so if you are using a laptop and connect to wifi in a cafe, anyone can play or even delete your music if you have downloads. It seems a really bad idea to use it on any actual workstation.
3) You can install Roon in a VM in VirtualBox and use USB3 passthrough with extensions (assuming you have a USB DAC) and that works perfectly MOST of the time, but if you are using the computer while listening to music, the USB passthrough sometimes has issue when CPU use goes up and the music skips briefly.
The difference in amplifier quality between what's in a receiver and a dedicated power amplifier is night and day. I won't get in to all of the differences, there's dedicated subreddits for audiophiles.
At one iteration of my setup I attempted sort of what you are trying to do.
The Chromecast is terrible for streaming audio.
I had a device to extract the digital audio from my Chromecast ultra which I fed to my separate DAC through an optical connection.
I compared streaming to the Chromecast vs connecting the DAC using USB to my phone. The Chromecast was definitely worse. The USB connection directly was far better.
I now am using a raspberry pi connected to my dac through usb and stream to it using Moode, and bubbleupnp on my phone.. If you're interested you can check some info about it here.
http://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=2199
It's a finicky setup and not for everyone. There are much easier alternatives though they don't come cheap.
Sorry if it sounded like I was talking down to you, I'm just trying to prevent others from making the same mistakes I already have! Let me know if you have any questions!
Most of the music finds its way there, but it can take 1-3 days post release before it shows up, versus Spotify.

That being said there is some missing music for some of the artists I listen to, most notably Tale of Us and Adriatique, MatHame also some EP's and single releases from people like Patrice Baumel etc.

The sound quality in Tidal (HiFi) versus Spotify is i'd suggest 1.5x better in terms of listening enjoyment. The app is also very good and IMO less glitchy than Spotify's

My recommendation is to take a 1 month trial, then sign up to Soundiiz.com to pull across your playlists and artists/albums to Tidal, Soundiiz will warn you of missing items from the lists you've imported. It's a free service.

I've some space on my Tidal Hifi Family if you wanted to message me. I charge £4 GBP for a HiFi account.
I had this problem too and used the desktop version to create a new playlist, then select all songs from the old playlist and copying them over to the new one. The resulting playlist didn't include duplicates and songs became deletable again. Must be some problem with the indexing. Maybe that helps in your case. You can still use Soundiiz.com to remove the duplicates, they have such a function.
I’ve used this service https://www.tunemymusic.com/ to export my saved artists and playlists as CSV or PDF files.
I haven’t used it in a couple months, but if you click let’s start on the home page its pretty straight forward — Log into your account and go from there.
There's a couple of online services that let you transfer music from one service to the other. An example is https://www.tunemymusic.com/
Another that lets you compare music and such is https://soundiiz.com/ but this has a fee to use the premium features.
Not sure if this helps, but I tried.
Anecdotal of course, but I have a S21 + 5G and I purchased USB C to 3.5mm DAC and it works with out issue.
I plug in my One More Triple Driver earbuds into the DAC and then the USB C into the phone.
I have been listening to Tidal Masters with no issues.
Hope your able to figure out the problem.
I'd recommend downloading BubbleUPNP, provided you are on an Android based phone. Spotify seems to be the only streaming service with a worthwhile app-environment. Tidal and Qobuz are both far superior in sound quality, but the software can be dodgy. BubbleUPNP will solve this for you, as it utilises the built-in DLNA on various devices. I have found this to work really well. Personally I use BubbleUPNP to stream both mentioned services to a music streamer (Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6), which has no native support for either. Also works great casting to my Marantz AV receiver. Free to try, very worthwhile to buy.
I have an iPhone XR, however this improved the listening experience on my DT 770's (80 ohm) when using tidal. Don't know about your dac, just thought i'd offer a suggestion.
We seem to agree on MQA.
I do almost all my listening on headphones now. I live in a Brooklyn apartment and just can't listen like I want to after 7 or so.
The primary reason I chose Tidal is that it integrates with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro&hl=en_US
The app bypasses any processing by my phone and sends the signal straight to the DAC. There are several apps that bypass the phone's internals, but none that incorporate a lossless music service.
The way I play it on my system is stream it from my phone to a chromecast, HDMI into my DAC. I have thought about Roon, but can't find a compelling reason to use it.
HEOS is repackaged Play Fi on Denon and Yamaha receivers I believe. I've been using Play Fi for awhile and while the sound I get is great, the software is not a smooth experience.
Some people lately are recommending the Wiim Mini, or the Wiim Pro streamers. You could connect this to your Denon and it would be smooth sailing from there. Here's a link to the Wiim Mini (which I don't have, but is highly recommended by youtube audio personalities such as Cheap Audio Man or Darko Audio:
I use a wiim optical out to amplifier. It plays Master quality and can output 24-bits @ 192kbps. The real beauty of it for me is you can use tidal connect from your phone which means you can control everything from there. Highly recommend it. I really like playing music without having to fiddle with the tv app or even turning the tv on at all
I have the FIIO Q3 MQA version. It’ll do exactly what you’re looking for….unfold Tidal’s MQA as well as all other high res files from streaming services. It comes with a lightning-USB C adaptor so there’s nothing else to buy (but if you wanna use one of the two balanced headphone outputs you may need an adaptor for your cans, though there is also the standard 3.5mm output as well).
It’s a fantastic little DAC/amp. I’ve used it with Tidal MQA and Qobuz’s high res files and it sounds amazing with either. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2LBYK6D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
It's not a hacking issue, its that people are bad about reusing passwords. Some server somewhere gets breached and the username and passwords get stolen. They then use bots to try to log into any site that will let them in. Some of those sites are Tidal accounts. They then try to sell the accounts and turn a profit.
Just don't reuse passwords and get a password manager. Also, check out https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if you've been in any breaches.
Ex-Spotify user here who also really wants Tidal Connect to support the Tidal app. I have a bunch of Chromecasts and that works pretty well but I hate drops when I'm listening to music so off-line was key for me. I used to have a NUC with Spotify but of course no downloads on PC.... so I have my old Pixel 2 with an external DAC connected to my amp playing from 'Downloaded' (that was another thing, why stream when using a Playlist when it's already downloaded?) and it's great. For me personally I have a real big playlist and generally want only to skip, pause & change volume and for that the premium version of https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.appground.blek works well - it behaves as a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse and the premium has nice media controls. It'll let you do pretty much everything else too but you have to be able to see the screen which isn't always possible. I did try some of the remote-control apps like TeamViewer but they were all a bit clunky for what I was after.
I tried NordVPN, which I am subscribed to anyway and it kept showing dollar. (I am in Europe so it should be showing € if anything). Then I tried Express VPN and it also showed Dollars. Tried the same from my phone and no luck. Eventually I tried it on my Windows Laptop from work and the Hols Chrome Extension and that one worked.
I went with this ... HELM Audio Bolt DAC/AMP, USB-C Portable High-End DAC/Headphone Amplifier with MQA Playback. Mobile Studio Sound for Android, iOS and PC. USB-C to 3.5mm Audio, THX Certified https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086GK94X2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_GP8GZZ2623NE8HV8EHYG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
That's asking a lot. MQA files require specialized hardware, and a good set of headphones will generally cost upwards of $100.
I can't speak on the quality of this dac but it's 70 bucks.
https://www.amazon.com/TempoTec-Sonata-MHD-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B09CPYZLLS/ref=asc_df_B09CPYZLLS/
My favorite headphones are the Beyerdynamic DT770. They have very good sound quality for the price imo. I prefer the 70 ohm version but I have no clue if the DAC I linked can drive them so I'm linking the 32 ohm version. There shouldn't be much difference in sound quality. $159
Sorry $230 is the closest I could get for you. I'm sure somebody else on here can come up with a solution for under $200
I like Hifiman, I have the Edition XS and Ananda. If you are on a tighter budget, the HE400SE is a phenomenal bargain at $109 right now. You would probably need at least some level of amplification though with this, it is quite hard to drive.
For IEMs, I have a range, the Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk would be my favourite. Other cheaper options would include the 7Hz Timeless and Letshuoer S12 planars in the $150-200 bracket, or Tripowin Olina or Moondrop Aria around the $80-100 mark. The new Moondrop Chu at $20 looks like a phenomenal deal competitive with anything up to $80 (Aria level). IEMs have the advantage they don't need particularly powerful amplification.
The headphone is the most important bit, there are much larger differences between headphones than you will ever discern between Tidal and Spotify. I don't use Dolby Atmos.
There are a whole bunch of Bluetooth and non Bluetooth speakers out there. It would probably be helpful to know the price range you're looking at, as well as any size requirements.
FWIW, I have one of these...
There's a couple years ago for a few bucks less. I wasn't that impressed when I first got it because, you know it's a cheap speaker and it's tiny. At first the lack of detailed highs kind of bothered me, and then I realized that it actually has a very balanced sound, I'm surprisingly satisfying bottom end and enough top end to make voices sound clear and music sound reasonably balanced.
The same company, the venerable Cambridge audio, has a bigger version that looks quite promising for only around 10 bucks more, still pretty cheap.
Mind you, these are not hi fi speakers, they are portables. Mine is extremely rugged and has served me well. And it's entirely reasonable to listen to.
Recent Spotify transplant here too. Rammstein is my biggest gap so far. You can request music additions, maybe enough of us can Rammify Tidal!
There's no doubt that Spotify has a more mature platform and because they are lazer focused on appealing to a broad audience they prioritise accessibility features (easy to use UI, ubiquity on platforms, connect features).
Tidal on the other hand focuses on HiFi, they have the best support on high end audio systems and integrate with power user tools like Roon.
Everyone has to decide which kind of user they are and pick the service that best fits that.
The recommendations are way better for me than Apple music; daily mixes, the daily discovery and the music note button on now playing is my favourite feature on any platform.
It has a good app on all the platforms and best of all, it works with Roon.
You can transfer your playlists with soundiiz. I use it all the time. It's a monthly charge to do a batch transfer, but I just use it and immediately cancel for the month. Extremely useful because it can transfer your entire library.
It’ll *m*ake a difference for sure, just by the power amplifier itself. Maybe not as much since ofc— your gear prohibits some of its benefits.
IMO— the DAC is tangible when u hear it. Gives the presentation an overall warmth that I prefer over “clinical/noisy” DACs that come w the PC/Mac..
& you don’t have to dig deep to hear it’s benefits, I primarily use this amp w these;
There’s a lot of value out there right now, don’t think you’re boxed in to what u have rn— the price of entry is lower than you think.. esp. if you’re coming fr Bose & SI Apple.
..I came frm AirPods Pros if that helps. :)
If they are being used wired they can playback HiFi.
A "dongle" DAC would make sense if your phone doesn't have a headphone jack.
Something like this:
AudioQuest DragonFly DAC USB Digital Audio Converter - Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01DP5JHHI/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_4Y8JMFW2W04EKHBBCS13
Portable, small and relatively cheap.
The cheapest way to do it is to buy a male 2.5 mm TRS to stereo male RCA adaptor cable and plug it from your phone's earphone jack to your hi fi's LINE/AUX/CD IN (not PHONO, which is a low level input with the RIAA playback EQ curve applied to it; plugging into that will lead to distortion and tonal imbalance).
I presume you are talking mobile, if Android Wavelet is very good and works system wide including with Tidal. Includes AutoEQ profiles for hundreds of headphones including the DT990.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pittvandewitt.wavelet
I don't have iOS but if you are using that there seem to be third party equalisers that work with Tidal too.
You can request music here. Some music that I requested were added it, the best way to get it add it is asking directly the artist/distributer.
I tried Deezer (I've been using Tidal for almost two years) and I was really disappointed in how you have to use specific devices in order to get HiFi streaming with Deezer. Tidal allows me to get MQA right on my Pixel 2XL. Deezer has you use one of their partner's systems to unlock FLAC quality.
Look at the bottom of this page:
It's weird but probablyy is the desktop app, that thing doesn't work well since forever, try deleting it and later re installing it. Also, check your desktop is well connected, I recommend fast.com
this conversation down this has been said here many times, when you purchase a subscription thru iTunes to ANYTHING they take 30% of the money before the money gets to the app creator, in this case tidal.
YOU ARE ALWAYS BETTER BUYING DIRECTLY USING <strong>TIDAL.com</strong>, and using either a <strong>privacy.com</strong> card or paypal if you don't want to use your debit card.
Late to the party, but I still want to add my 2 cents:
I found the best way to use Tidal on Linux is indeed the webapp (listen.tidal.com). You can make a "app" of every website with most chromium based browsers (Hamburger menu > more tools > Create shortcut).
Chromium itself doesn't have Widevine support built-in, which is necessary for streaming in HiFi-quality. You can use Google Chrome, but I found that Brave has both Widevine and web-to-app support. As Brave is open-source, quick and focused on privacy, I found it the best way to listen to Tidal.
After making the shortcut/app, you can find Tidal in your menu between the other applications and feels almost the same as a native program.
http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1888513/TIDAL-Music-Request
heres the link
don't know how long it takes, or how well it works
Best way I have found to do this is to use this tool, scan your MP3 folder with it, then use it to create a playlist of all the files in that folder. Then import that playlist to Tidal using Soundiiz, and you will end up with a playlist on Tidal built with high-res files. Of course, there may be some missing songs depending on availability on Tidal.
You can actually import it through soundiiz You can use the free version to import them one by one, or get the free trial and cancell it to transfer them in a bunk! It doesn't always work with 100% of the songs, but at least it shows you which one failed to transfer.
Give it a try!
How can I listen to TIDAL Masters (master-quality recordings)?
When you are in the TIDAL desktop application, click on the home button to the left-hand side and scroll down to "Master Quality Audio Albums".
To get the best quality, make sure to select "HiFi/Master" quality in “Settings" and then select “Streaming".
If you don’t have the TIDAL desktop application, you can find it here.
You can also use your compatible Android or Apple device.
any of your song got delete or replace with something else and such?
And do you know anyone and have any experience with tunemymusic? it is the 2nd popular alternative to soundiiz from what i research on google. Not sure if it is safe though.
This may be common knowledge, but you can transfer your library (albums, playlists and all) using www.tunemymusic.com/ hope that's helpful. also, I hope you have the gear to enjoy the HiFi, as frankly the apps aren't perfect. Hope you like it! the more users we get the better it will hopefully become.
Not really. I am a long time Spotify user, and Spotify is sooooo much better for playlists, so I have been using https://www.tunemymusic.com/ to transfer playlists over. I discovered it after this post.
I do not listen to music that has videos, so the video playlists are full of artists that I do not listen to. Enough with the videos!
for future reference id recommend backing up your playlist to a txt or csv file... tidal offers this which allows the backup of playlist and then you can import with tidal.
Many tracks don't have lyrics, especially from the smaller creators. Good way of knowing if a song have them, is checking it on musixmatch.com, because that's where Tidal gets them
Apple digital masters are just masters made for the lossy AAC codec. It is going to be better than mp3s and Spotify but MQAs are lossless and with the right hardware will sound superior. If you don't have MQA supported hardware and/or not very high quality equipment, you will probably not hear much difference. More info about Apple digital masters: https://www.apple.com/itunes/docs/apple-digital-masters.pdf
Try Strawberry player, get your tidal API token, insert it under Tidal preferences and bingo! Tidal on linux
here's a link that shows screenshots with Tidal working... https://www.strawberrymusicplayer.org/
Received this from. Tidal support.
Hello,
Thank you so much for your patience!
We have confirmed what is causing this issue, it is directly tied to the IP address that your internet network provider has connected to your network.
You can see where the issue is coming from by entering your IP address at this link:
https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx
It looks like your LTE may also end up affected as it's also showing now under the same listing as the 5G network does.
What you're going to want to do is reach out to your internet provider and let them know your IP address is being blocked by certain servers.
They can work to help resolve this on their end or provide you with a new network IP address.
We do advise this in general whenever you see your IP address appear on any of these lists as it will help you regain security on your internet network.
In the meantime, you can use free VPN programs to temporarily change your IP address to access TIDAL.
Once on an IP address that's not blacklisted, you'll be able to stream on your account.
*More about TIDAL can be found at support.tidal.com
If you have any questions please let us know!
Thank you for your patience and I hope you have a great day!

Received this from tidal about the 5G issue.

Sounds like it is broken and has been since September.
I use just the web version in a Chromium "app" window and occasioanlly Chimera for downloading.
Use a free socks4 proxy, which I did. Just Google 'Argentina socks proxy free' and enable it in your browser. Since Tidal uses HTTPS traffic, which is encrypted, sending all of your data over someone's untrusted sketchy connection is doable in my opinion.
Getting on the Tidal website with my NordVPN is deemed impossible in my eyes after trying 10 different servers and getting the message that my IP is blocked.
JXMOX USB Type C to 3.5mm Female Headphone Jack Adapter. This very cheap Mini-DAC for 9$ works great with Tidal and gets recognized: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089CP79XM/
However AudioQuest DragonFly Red does not work (does not get recognized). Please add Tidal.
Check your PayPal profile, there should be a subscriptions section somewhere.
Had the same issue with ExpressVPN, cancelled my subscription on their website but I was still getting charged as it wasn't removed from paypal
Tidal 2.37 still has not fixed the issue on v40 but this app has: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.lgv10.dacfix
IMO, don't get an official Apple one if you can find a similar 3rd party one.
The official Apple adaptors are overpriced as hell.
This is the adaptor I use for my iPad. It only supports up to 100mA output, but that shouldn't be an issue because to my knowledge, your DAC is powered by an internal battery.
So there are two options,
Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter
Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter
One is USB2 and the other is USB3, I'm confused which one to get?
Tidal for Android uses the Android audio - everything is resampled to 16 bit 48.000hz . To really hear the difference use USB Audio Player Pro
It works just fine with ProtonVPN connected to Istanbul servers. Also, e-Government service of Turkey does not list any block/bans against TIDAL. They did get a warning from RTUK 2 weeks ago to purchase a license.
Instantaneous lossless audio for $20/month, and it integrates with this app on my phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro&hl=en_US&gl=US
The search function sucks and MQA is a gimmick.
Ah. Yeah, I've used apple music, spotify, and tidal. IMO, spotify has the best features, tidal has the best sound quality, and Apple Music was the worst in every way.
This is my PC's sound card: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001E25KDK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_5UBQFbJFK9QQA
And these are my headphones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EJVYN3K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_HVBQFbVQV8H60
Saw this, didn't realize it was you from the other thread. I'll repost this as well:
The primary reason I chose Tidal is that it integrates with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro&hl=en_US
The app bypasses any processing by my phone and sends the signal straight to the DAC. There are several apps that bypass the phone's internals, but none that incorporate a lossless music service.
EDIT - copied from the web:
Qobuz has a terrible quality control, and many of the so-called "masters" that are on the service are actually poor quality digital captures published by the french national library (BNF), from when it had its entire vinyl library digitized by a Belgian company about 5 or 6 years ago. Those BNF titles have been digitized in a a rushed studio, and they sound terrible, even compared to vinyl rips published on Youtube. In practice, the titles released in high resolution are those published by the main music publishers, and they should be roughly be the same for Qobuz and Tidal (or other services, obviously).
Qobuz is a much more "messy" than Tidal, e.g. Qobuz tends to keep several variations and successive remasters of the same titles, which makes very cumbersome and annoying for the subscribers. In addition, some titles "disappear" of the main library for no particular reason, and sometimes they re-"appear" in the library, so maintaining a collection of playlists can be challenging sometimes.
Chromecast supports lossless from Tidal and Amazon. How I use it on my system is the android app to chromecast, chromecast HDMI intro my DAC.
Chromecast supports Amazon HD music (16/44 - cd quality), but not Ultra HD, which is high-resolution.
Now the issue becomes Chromecast vs Chromecase ultra, and whether Amazon supports Chromecast. Chromecase Ultra supports FLAC up to 96kHz/24-bit, which is high-res. But I don't know if Amazon will cast that resolution to the Ultra.
My DAC does not display sample rate and bit depth when decoding. Many do, and perhaps someone who has one can experiment.
I do most of my listening on android to a portable DAC to headphones. The reason I settled on Tidal is that this app incorporates Tidal, therefore bypassing the android circuitry and giving me a cleaner signal via USB C. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro&hl=en_US
On Android try USB Audio Player. It's pretty expensive but they also have a trial version. On Linux the chances are very slim even with Wine or other emulators the audio is done by the built-in alsamixer or pulseaudio.
Your your downloaded songs won't be casted, because that's not how Chromecast works. CC always fetches the content from the servers of service.
Often Chromecast issues are network related because it is so nitpicky abut wifi stability and interference. Doesn't matter if all of yoir other devices work perfectly, CC still might not. You didn't say which CC model and I don't have a crystal ball.
Lower the quality and test.
CC speedtest app (you need Android device): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidinspain.speedcast
Sadly, this is not possible in Tidal. My suggestion is to use a remote app ( like this one) to interact with the TV (I know this is not exactly what you're asking for but I'm trying to be as helpful as possible).
You will hear a quality difference. From the Tidal app itself.
Now the following part is just extra, you can try it if you feel like it.
Try downloading the Poweramp player trial version and check if the app can detect "Hi-Res driver" (or something along those lines).
If yes, then you can purchase USB audio player pro UAPP and stream Tidal from this player to get the most bit perfect audio.
Android upsamples all it's audio to 48khz, some players such as the UAPP, have its own drivers to circumvent this upsampling and output the unaltered source audio (44.1Khz on most songs in Tidal) .
The sound will be marginally cleaner, since you have a good pair of IEM'S i recommend this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.extreamsd.usbaudioplayerpro
USB audio Player pro.
It's an app which bypasses Android's native audio processing (upsamples everything to 48khz, or some other. The point is they upsamples everything) and output directly to a USB DAC connected to your Android phone.
Much much better sound quality than native android. MQA core decoding (only one unfolding to 24 bit 96khz) with an in app purchase. If your DAC supports native MQA unfolding then it gets fully unfolded fully (upto 19x khz).
You can sign into your tidal account within the UAPP app, and stream music through this method.
It's not a polished UI as the native tidal app. But the sound quality is way better.
But you have to have a USB DAC, or at least an active USB-C to 3.5mm dongle to take advantage of this app.
Yes, that's what I was talking about. I achieve this with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lge.app1&hl=en
No...I'm not streaming MQA. My DAC is low-end. Just wondering if something I should try figure out or is it not that big of a deal?
