Is ExpressVPN bad? Been trying them out lately and see no downsides so far though I'm new to the vpn game. I have it set up on my router and it works great aside from interfering with my Xbox multiplayer weirdly.
Signal is a secure messaging/call/video chat app that encrypts your messaging/media/data. You can set things up to auto delete after a specified time and it’s actually gone.
It’s actually pretty cool. I’ve been using it for about a year and I’m never going back to regular messaging apps.
Modern Microsoft is less crappy then 90s-early 00's microsoft.
They've open sourced .net core and are working on linux support.
They own skype, which also has linux support.
They released Visual Studio Code and gave it a linux port.
Microsoft the services company might not be especially popular with some people, but I can't see them locking minecraft down to windows. Especially since mobile is so popular now and Mojang seems pretty separate from microsoft at this point.
You make it sound like Microsoft ownership is antithetical to having a community. And it's not.
I kinda think Mojang seems like Pixar to Microsoft's Disney. If they're smart they're not gonna screw that up.
All these people here talking about how Protonmail is dead or how they are switching service lol
First of all giving away IPs is no big deal, like, at all. If you don't use VPN or TOR, your internet provider knows everything you connect to anyway and if you did ProtonMail wouldn't know your IP. Please don't act like you're super privacy conscious when you're basically broadcasting information about you. The only thing one could do with the IP ProtonMail provided is linking an Account to a person, if the internet provider of said person plays along. ProtonMail is advertising privacy and security, not complete anonymity under all circumstances. Just like Signal for example. Their thing is to protect your messages, not to hide that you have an account and to make sure it's impossible to find out that you have one.
Secondly it's not like they do this because they're being evil, it's literally Swiss law and they can't do anything about it. But more importantly this means that if anyone wants this information, they need a Swiss judge to approve this and, if they want to link that information to you, also an order by your local law enforcement for your service provider to reveal who the IP belonged to.
So to wrap things up: If you're not a criminal who's email became known to authorities, being persued in both the Swiss and your own country, you're probably fine and Proton doesn't log your stuff. Also, get a VPN. ProtonVPN is not affected by this law btw. And it's great.
I read that facebook is testing wired things with the 'likes'. For instance, if you say you are going to an event about a rock band, you might find that you 'liked' the band on facebook, without doing it yourself. It supposedly happens with private messages too(, and I doubt this will happen with indie bands).
I'll see if I can find any reliable source.
EDIT: found a post about it. (I didn't read the updated post, until now.) http://gizmodo.com/5948948/facebook-is-reading-your-messages-and-liking-things-for-you
This same process what attempted in 2008, failing due to issues with cost. Maybe this new company with the help of Zagg will actually make this profitable. I love this project because it's saving a very important part of internet history and culture.
Go listen to the ‘how I built this’ for the full story. It’s one of the best episodes of that podcast. Very cool story.
This isn't a new approach. It is actually quite an old one. (Though, new to the android platform I suppose).
An example of where else this is happening is PCSX2. While this translation of binaries works, it generally results in a binary that is much slower than the original (this stuff is hard, and pcsx2 has been at it for a LONG time).
This has happened in Iran before. If you have Iranian friends, recommend they suggest to their friends they use TOR, via the TOR browser bundle. Set up a TOR node on your network to improve the service.
VPNs like NordVPN and others will stop the hassles. They anonymize the traffic and do not keep records, so there's nothing to subpoena. VPNs are key: HBO and other major networks are in swarms of peers for torrents on their content, and will serve notices for that one movie or show they logged you as trading. The overall amount per month or week doesn't matter, and I have plenty of hassle from my ISP to prove it.
You HAVE to make sure your VPN is on at any time your torrent client even might be on and trading, if you're using the big torrent sites. Somehow, they don't seem to have been smart enough to get memberships into the small private trackers, but even then I'm nervous. They aren't in my British based tracker for British content (which I can't watch or get otherwise), though.
> ... because they sell viewer analytics
They may get even more than that given that their required app lives on your phone. I wonder what permissions they ask for.

So if you take all the cash reserves of an international company that happens to be headquartered in the United States, call it a U.S. company, ignore the most cash-rich genre of all U.S. corporations, and compare the Apple tally to the artificially constrained aggregate, it has around 10 percent of corporate cash.

It was huge news at the time. Not really sure how everyone is forgetting this

I think the fact that their math came out as "more money than exists in the entire world" proves that the the $150k per infringement number in insane. Some-men-just-want-to-watch-the-world-burn insane.
And this is after having been shut down in 2010 and settling with the RIAA for $105 million.
Yeah bc I bet FireTV is flopping too. Their logic is idiotic. Noone in the history of the universe has ever switched from an android tablet to kindle just for the Amazon Instant Video. Both of these devices came out way too late. I saw this back in July so I have high hopes: http://www.cnet.com/news/amazon-prepping-prime-instant-video-for-android-devices-report-says/
Nah, not new at all. Still the same old shitty LCD. Calling them "LED" was nothing more than a very successful marketing ploy.
I wonder the same thing. I get categorized and highly specific news sources. I even have a separate sports page that follows specific sports sources that I care about (such as specific to my favorite baseball team).
I don't understand... are people wasting their time going to each site individually and looking at general headlines? Are they simply not reading news?
You can roll your own solution using rss of course, but that just sucks compared to the managed quality of igoogle.
Edit: I have been looking for alternatives, this is the best I have found so far: http://www.netvibes.com

It's pieces of that agreement, specifically the Google apps pre-installed part the EU is upset about.
I don't believe that under the license agreement that Samsung could ship a phone without Google Services unless they ship NO phones with Google Services. It's all or nothing. Microsoft did the same thing to prevent computers shipping with OS\2 or Linux.
Likewise we don't see a Fire Phone 2 running Google Services. Maybe that's more Amazon being petty but it could also be that they would also have to shut down their rival app store even on tablet.
It looks to me that the EU wants what regular_post believes to actually be true or at least more viable somehow.
Does any oem currently ship both a Google and a Google Free device? That alone I would think that Google would trot out and use as defense.
You can 3D print a gun. But it will be very VERY costly. The different filament will fairly expensive. The cost for a high tech printer will skyrocket. And even accessing the blueprints and knowing what to do with them is unlikely for the average person. I honestly don’t think this will be a huge problem. There’s so much room for error and I find it doubtful this will lead to a shooting.
Edit:if you want some background I am a second year student at a vocational school for Drafting and Additive manufacturing. I am too of my class and 3D printed my own Elastic Gun that I myself have created using SolidWorks . I’ve encountered so many trial and error even being very skilled at my trade. Even with my schools 200k 3D printer that can quite literally, print metal-like structures, it would be very hard to create and print.
netflix terms say you get 1 stream for unlimited or unlimited + 1 disc, and one additional stream for each subsequent disc (i.e., 3 streams for unlimited + 3 discs) https://www.netflix.com/FAQ?p_faqid=2902
seems completely fair to me. You pay for one subscription, you get one stream. Still better than cable
July 2013 webrankings:
1 Yahoo! Sites 196,564
2 Google Sites 192,251
3 Microsoft Sites 179,595
Yahoo not only still does search, it occasionally outperforms google in total monthly visitors. Even when it doesn't it is always in the top 4 websites world wide.
I have been using it for years and found it very seamless to use. The browser plugin is super useful. I wish there was an easier way to store answers to security questions other than in the notes. I like the password generator but I do wish it would let you alter which symbols you use in the generation as some sites randomly pick and choose which ones their systems will accept.
Looks like they allow for bulk import from other services: https://bitwarden.com/help/article/import-data/
I'm really sad they decided to kill the one differentiating feature that was also an extremely smart and valuable part of their service. They basically shot themselves in the foot.
The best alternative I've found so far is SymForm:
from their FAQ:
> We don't require data centers to store data. We are aggregating the millions of computers all over the world (they become Symform “devices”) that run power 24/7, have excess local storage capacity, and have reliable Internet access. In short, we decided to create the world's safest, most cost-effective cloud storage by allowing customers to exchange cheap local storage for more valuable cloud storage.
the article links to an FAQ page on whatsapp website to de-link your whatsapp number with your facebook account. I tried but didn't find the option that they stated on the whatsapp iphone app.
VyprVPN. I have an account I share with my partner and a few friends globally. We are from Two different countries. He likes to watch sports and news in his home language and we both like a variety Tv shows. They have updates weekly. Always on top of their game.
My ex would buy the special fluoride free toothpaste Alex jones sold. I visited him for the weekend once and was forced to use his toothpaste. My teeth literally felt like they were rotting until I got home to my Colgate.

Wait. “They” as in the website that op posted? Or the website in the comment you are replying to?
Edit: okay I was confused because the original article didn’t mention NordVPN, but then I went to their homepage and I see what you mean. Weird that they wouldn’t mention it in that article if it’s advertised on the front. Actually none of the three on the front page are mentioned in this article. Much confusion
Yeah, they're definitely taking NordVPN money, as it's still at the top of their list with the most vague security details compared to others. Nord is known for spending their money on sketchy things like this instead of actual security. That's why you see them everywhere.
Yes, Epic's goal is to make a fuckton of money.
However, they have pledged $100 million in grants to indie developer and small businesses:
https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/megagrants
Their store provides very favorable cuts for whoever signs on to them,
The sales guarantee they give devs helps take a lot of risk off of their projects, and basically guarantees that their lights stay on until their next project at the very least (which is better than signing on with a publisher that can demand cuts and alterations to their game),
Plus Unreal Engine is still amazing, and makes work much easier for both old and new devs.
They're still a greedy company with questionable tactics by the end of the day, but they have been a net benefit for the industry as a whole.
>Wondering if and when you can get these features? Well, it's supported by iPhone 3GS and upwards, that includes the second and third generation iPads, plus fourth-gen iPod touches. Beta is going out today, with a full release in the fall.
There’s nothing wrong with AMP pages. The whole point of them is that they load much faster.
There’s people in areas with slow internet and Google just wants as many people as possible to use Google, so they hand out free software to make it easier.
The United States ranks 34th Globally in mobile internet speed.
Rumor has it the S6 will not have a Qualcomm Snapdrgon 810 and will instead use one of Samsung's Xynos chips. Both chips are somewhat similar, but the Samsung is clocked higher, which could give it better performance.

Not deliberately. Have you ever used Google Maps on your phone? Well, GPS signals are easily blocked by tall buildings or even trees, so one of the ways they make maps so accurate is the google van also records the "names" (really a long binary ID) and signal strength of all the wifi networks it passes as it goes by. When your phone "hears" those same "names" it can measure the strength of the signal and know how far away it is from those networks - basically a second form of triangulation.
Any way, Google's story is that they discovered a bug in the code was causing the vans to actually record the contents of those wifi signals as well as their signal strength and, as part of their philosophy of "do no evil" they announced that it had happened and that they were taking steps to prevent it from happening again.
I don't think they would make such a confession again seeing how it's led to multi-year court fights in both the US and German courts.
EDIT BTW - the FCC fine isn't even for eavesdropping, it's for "obstruction". The FCC doesn't think what Google did is illegal, its fining Google for not cooperating with them.

Recently, I’ve been using BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint as a way to play/save old flash games. I initially started using it because my internet sucks and I wanted a way to download flash games. Turns out, the software has literally every flash game under the sun. It’s a crowdsourced software made by a bunch of flash fans in order to preserve every good flash game.
It’s a great way to play old flash games, and I recommend everyone check it out at least once.

I missed the part where you toured all detention centers to give a first hand account of children not being separated.
Living in a border town or having a mother who went to school with a border patrol agent doesn’t make you an authority on immigration, nor does it justify ignoring evidence in plain sight.
You lack diligence or intellectual curiosity which makes you a slam dunk mark for conspiracy theorist conmen.
Listen to this interview with a parent who was separated from her child and the damage it did to both of them.
But these are crisis actors in your conspiracy theory ridden mind?
Use Ecosia instead! They plant trees with their profits from advertising. It ends up being about 1 tree per 45 searches, and of course it’s completely free to use. Also available in the Apple App Store and google play store. They’ve planted 100 million trees since starting a few years ago.
They also release really in-depth budget information and show exactly where their money goes. One of the most ethical companies in the world right now imo.

All this purchase makes me think is they’re going to stop or merge the creation of https://atom.io with Studio Code, as well as the GitHub desktop app eventually.
> Wouldn't it be easier and better to demand the companies to hand over info than to make backdoors?
Good encryption prevents anyone from seeing conversations/transmissions except the sender/receiver. Look at apps like Signal (https://signal.org/en/)
And that’s the problem. Government wants unfettered access when they want when they want but to allow that would allow for anyone else who could find a way to access backdoors to snoop on conversations too. Hence why backdoors are a bad idea.
In addition, from a logical standpoint, if big data companies had to implement backdoors into their systems everyone would know about it, meaning bad actors wouldn’t use those services. But innocent people would still use them and thus be exposed. The math/crypto already exists and anyone capable could utilize it for nefarious means.
Also note that most bills like this are usually pretty weak and will get shot down in the left controlled house. It’s a tactic by the right to have it voted down so they can say “Y U NO agree to this bill are you on the side of pedophiles?”

I don't know a lot about this particular story because TechCrunch has never interested me. But skimming some articles about it I see "he was forming a venture capital company to finance some of the technology start-ups that his site wrote about", and their response article making complaints like "some Journalists (with a big “J” and even bigger senses of entitlement) have proceeded to pile on," I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what's going on.
"What, I thought you were all cool with me funding the news I write about!"
edit: I see this has been going on for a few days now, and have gained an almost palpable sense of the desperation of the TC staff as the try to recover from this. Wow, someone wanted to show HP how to really screw up public perception.

Save me a lot of headache from bad moves
First off, it was an Associated Press story.
Second, that "wild conjecture" was a paragraph buried in the story with a quote from the company's VP of product innovation.
>Netflix has been mulling a change that would eliminate household sharing of Internet video streaming and require each individual user to pay a monthly fee. The decision to create a kid's-only section within its streaming library shouldn't be interpreted as a sign that Netflix is moving any closer to charging each user, said Todd Yellin, the company's vice president of product innovation. "It doesn't nix that idea (and) it doesn't fuel that idea," he said in an interview. "It's just something that's a possibility, but not imminent."
Thirdly, the original headline was Netflix gets kid-friendly as it raises US prices, referring to the previous price increase.
It bugs me how much press Steve Jobs got I mean he got at least 2 hours dedicated to just him on NPR alone (I hope he was a major donor). Then when Dennis Ritchie dies I hear nothing about it from the mainstream press. However, TNT did talk about Ritchie's death and about what he created. The best comment I've read has to be:
"Invent the C programming language and UNIX, then die: nobody gives a censored.
Market other people's technologies to rich white kids, then die: HE WAS LIKE censored EINSTEIN ZOMG EDISON WTFBBQ.
I don't want to live on this planet any more."

This is cool. Not going to kill the mouse by any means, but will be handy if only to refine menu items given the context you're looking for. Once proficient with a given application keyboard shortcuts are usually plenty to stay productive though, imho.
Also kind of reminiscent of Launchy, but way more complex obviously.
Affinity Photo Is pretty damn great, you guys. It does everything I need it to do and it has an active user base of people making tutorials on YouTube.
Available on Mac, Windows, iOS. They are still on this sale thing where they are selling it for 50% off during the pandemic. Not sure how much longer it will last. The Mac and PC versions have a trial period, too.
I also hear their Designer vector program is great. And they make some kind of publisher application.
You have to buy separate copies per each platform but they are not subscription based! Updates released regularly.

Listen if every Youtuber pushed their content to an alternative like LBRY there wouldn't be much of an issue. LBRY already has tools to scan your uploads and download your YT videos. LBRY has tools to monitize content and at the very least is a great backup incase YT deletes your channel so your content isn't lost. If there is a mounted pressure to allow people to view the same content elsewhere then YT has to compete based on compensation or functionality.
You can download the LBRY app or check it out at beta.lbry.tv. With the recent update it is far more snappy and works really well. Some of the Youtube channels I subscribe to are also there which is a plus. I say give it a try and if you are a content creator put some stuff on there. Khan Academy, Minute Physics and RetroRGB are on there and more so give a search to see If your favorite channel is already there.
You can sort of opt-out for the moment: https://www.netflix.com/DoNotTest?fullpage=true
However, this isn't specifically for enabling/disabling the promos. It's for opting out of anything Netflix wants to experiment with for their player, which could also be things you might like such as UI improvements, 4K content, etc. Also, if the promos make it out of testing and Netflix decides to keep them, you'd start getting promos again.

I remember when the office suite was a big issue.
Now, a recent Slashdot poll is showing LibreOffice word processor is more popular than Microsoft office's.
https://slashdot.org/poll/3200/what-is-your-preferred-word-processor
is decentralized and completely open source. https://element.io because is decentralized cannot go down like happened recently with signal.
signal is not letting user build client for connect to signal own servers. not only!
signal servers are all centralized.
That means, like recently happened, if the signal server is down you cannot use signal anymore.
There was a GREAT one I used in the past, Foxit... then it got popular and went to shit with bloat. I haven't used it many years though, so it could be better, could be worse.
I don't know if they changed the name but it's "Foxit PhantomPDF" now: https://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf-editor/
That’s amazing! What did your parents write, and what does your wife write?
And honestly? The best support I could ask for, as a debut indie author, is word of mouth. If you know anyone who enjoys zombies/apocalyptic fiction/SciFi-horror, throw them the link to my book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BDFBN89
It’s my debut novella. It’s the first in a planned trilogy, and it details the start of a zombie outbreak: who created the viruses, who patient zero was, and it how it got from point A-Z(ombie). It has been really well-received so far (I’ve even seen people on Reddit talk about it, which is mind-blowing).
Also, how can I support your wife’s art? Is she traditionally or self- published?
It seems like they’ll block the service while the VPN is on, and resume regular service once it’s off. HBO and Amazon do the same thing. The thing in the article that’s confusing is that, in the process of trying to find a way to block VPNs, they ended up blocking regular subscribers from content who weren’t using VPNs, but whose IPs/ISPs for some reason triggered the same flag. But it doesn’t seem like Netflix is “punishing” people for VPN use by restricting content indefinitely. I was confused by this as well, as ai use ExpressVPN to watch Italian shows from the US. Did it last night and had no problems, but maybe they just started this today.
I’m trying so hard not to be a pirate. I bought 2 years of NordVPN, I pay for Netflix, I pay for Amazon, I pay for Disney+ and now I’m going to get region locked so the elites can make an extra couple dollars.
Sorry but I’m not going to waste the money I’ve already spent. If this is the way it’s going to be I’ll just use my VPN to torrent content for free because it isn’t worth juggling subscriptions.
It’s strange that there’s many peppermint oil products marketed directly for use in the engine bay then. Mighty Mint Rodent Repellent Spray for Vehicle Engines and Interiors - Cars, Trucks, RVs, & Boats https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BTRQRBM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZJMA6MRFA9Z6G8BDS5ZG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Being able to pay taxes directly with a currency, as opposed to converting it to fiat beforehand, lends it legitimacy. The fact that the best you can offer is a singular canton in Switzerland and a failed program in Ohio shows that many aren't considering it and that it might not be adopted.
As for what you should read everyone should read this or some equivalent book at least:
https://www.amazon.com/Principles-Economics-Mankiws/dp/0538453052
I’m no paid shill tbh I wish I was but nah Mullvad is genuinely an amazing vpn so far in my experience. My friend told me about it because it was cheap and doesn’t seem to limit you — haven’t looked back since
I don’t have regular television, just Netflix and add free Hulu, so I’m not getting ads.
You’re saying Nord has gone full on sellout?
I have a little under two years left on my Nord subscription. I’ll look into Mullvad, is there anyone that you recommend that I could look into before I make a decision?
I don't know anything more than anybody else here but once I see a VPN advertising places like the Food Network, I'm not comfortable using them. Something just feels off. I still have about a year on a discounted subscription I bought a couple years ago. I've moved on to something else. Mullvad in my case but do your own research.
I disagree. Your material is extremely subjective. None of it is even news. You have an opinion page, and one that frequently goes after this particular company. There’s nothing wrong with opinion pages, and I credit you for trying to carve something out of a niche market (VPN reviews and VPN memes). This article is just of dubious quality and there seems to be preexisting prejudice against NordVPN.
I’m not certain I can. The comments were all anti-NordVPN. Hell even the article is.
I really think this is just an honest mistake on the company’s part. I don’t think they or their marketing agency deeply review every single channel they sponsor. I just don’t think this is a pick up the pitch forks kind of thing.
>>The post attracted a huge number of likes with many people claiming that they were already canceling their NordVPN subscriptions.
>>It was only a short time later that NordVPN responded to the criticisms claiming that it “was a one-off sponsorship, and our vetting process has since been improved. We do not endorse racism in any form, and the creator’s views do not reflect ours. We do not support hate speech or radical political views of any leaning,” it wrote.
>>To further explain the huge mess up, a NordVPN spokesperson told Newsweek: “A single video was sponsored through an agency a while back, having slipped through our background check.”
TL;dr: the use a marketing agency and the agency was handing out sponsorships with minimal criteria
Depends on how much effort you want to put into it. It’s not as simple as just using a VPN and you’re good to go - VPNs are great but they aren’t a perfect solution.
You can use a Linux Based OS like TAILS which installs on a USB key and destroys all data every time you shut down. All traffic and connections are forced through TOR and VPNs can be applied too. This forces you to use new installs of every program which changed the GUI ID codes.
Even this isn’t a perfect solution because let’s be honest - who wants to go through the hassle of setting up everything each time you turn on your computer.
You could set up a virtual machine which isolated as section of your computer so viruses, malware, and other malicious software can’t track you. Set up using TOR browser and apply a VPN within the VM. Minimizes tracking, anonymize activity, and minimize exposure to your actual computer and data.
Best solution? Get a VPN from a trusted company - I like ProtonVPN but there are many out there with great reviews and policies. Be sure to actually read up on each one. After the VPN you can download TOR and use it to browse the internet like normal or look into Brave Browser and use the privacy mode which enables TOR. Brave looks like chrome so it’s familiar to work with.
Next get rid of your gmail hotmail yahoo email accounts and get a ProtonMail account - it’s completely private with paid or free options.
Delete your social media accounts - they are literally tracking every move you make. Want to get further into privacy? Get rid of the smartphone and get a dumb phone.
It’s a rabbit hole of trying to apply bandaids tp a gaping wound. You can DM me if you have other questions.
It becomes super inconvenient to browse the web and that’s what major companies want. The easier they make it for you to surf the web the likelihood of you using their products increases thus they collect your data.
The video you linked only makes references to negative Trustpilot Reviews and a PayPal debacle, but nothing about purposefully slowing users internet speed.
Also, the YouTuber in the video is sponsored by TorGuard. A VPN service which isn't innocent at all.
Your last point being NordVPN spend lots of money on marketing. And? What does that prove?
LMAO
You're accusing me of being a NordVPN shill because I'm questioning the validity of your accusations with no evidence? I asked for proof to any of your claims and all you did was link me to a video to a YouTuber sponsored by TorGuard. LOL
And you accused me of being a NordVPN shill. I use .
" Google has confirmed that SuperVPN, which has 100 million installs, has a vulnerability that allows for a critical MITM attack. However, the app is still available for download on the Play store putting users’ security at risk "
jeez.
I'll reply more in a bit, but I would highly recommend this book to get started: https://www.amazon.com/Python-Data-Analysis-Wrangling-IPython/dp/1491957662
It's by the creator of pandas. I still reference this book often -- it's quite useful.
Then go read the book it cited. Scrutinize away. Pretty sure it’ll say the same thing.
Edit: I’ll help you out. It makes it pretty clear that Ohanian and Huffman were together doing this long before Swartz joined Y Combinator. Swartz was not involved in major early decisions (not even choosing the name), and is largely absent from the actual founding. He was a partner in the startup, no more a co-founder than Graham. Do some actual reading and you learn things.
Any suggestions for Excel learning resources? I recently purchased this book, which looks great. I'd love some suggestions of resources that complement this book.
My background, for context: I'm a Python developer -- I do most of my data wrangling & ML work on top of pandas (& numpy).
Having used this one, I can tell you that they interfere with the Joy-con’s connection if they are being used outside of handheld mode.
I call BS. I've been using these for several years on my macs and PC's with zero issue.
How do? HKmap.live (the app Apple removed at China's request) is still alive and well on the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=live.hkmap.app
Still worth having a conversation here, but entirely misleading to draw certain parallels.
Put down the pitchforks, people.
The tech giant says the app violated a policy against cashing in on conflicts, and the decision was not the result of a request to take it down.
Also
In a statement, Google said the game was removed because it violated Google Play's policies. "We have a longstanding policy prohibiting developers from capitalising on sensitive events such as attempting to make money from serious ongoing conflicts or tragedies through a game," Google said. Google noted it had pulled apps previously for attempting to profit from other high-profile events such as earthquakes, crises, suicides and conflicts.
This isn't Google bowing to China. This was an rpg game to role play as a Hong Kong protestor. Google doesn't let people make games about tragedies.
Also worth pointing out that HKmap.live (the app Apple removed at China's request) is still alive and well on the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=live.hkmap.app
You are talking absolutely rubbish and NordVPN has some serious logging issues. I don’t use it. I don’t need that kinda empathy thanks.
I’m a woman who would enjoy her porn disabled or not, I used to write about it and considered setting up my own studio at one point. Man are you Ill informed.. so left field
