I've seen many people redeem themselves in life.
This guy is not going to be one of them.
I designed it on tinkercad and printed it on a Prusa i3. Used some model paint to get the metalic look. Very happy with the results. here is the link were you can download the part if you want to print it yourself.
A program called Melodyne allows you to see the individual notes being played in a piece of audio (in this case, I had the individual tracks from the song), and it allows you to alter them. Sort of like autotune. So I just had to move certain notes up throughout the whole song.
I use Mix app on my phone for filtering colors and adding other small effects and adding a bit of vibrancy.
Here is the website that is the free AI tool: https://letsenhance.io/ you only get like 5 free uses but I'd say mine were well worth it.
I just posted an 8000x8000 resolution one.
Bing!
The CD has a black plastic covering around it and the insert is plastic also with layered artwork, very nice
If I get some time, I'll sort it. It's very easy to do.
If you want to give it a go: download the file, install http://reaper.fm (free trial), import file, highlight a single song, render-> time selection. Repeat for each track.

100% yes. You should wear them for every show. Hearing damage is permanent and a bitch. Good earplugs won’t negatively effect the sound at all. These are the ones I gave but there are a lot of options on Amazon.
Well, depends. If you're using Spotify, then sadly you can't.
HOWEVER, if you're using an mp3 player app on your phone and you downloaded the mp3 files of each song, then you actually can, using an app called automatic tag editor, which can edit the mp3 files of a song. You can rename the song, change the track number, artist, album, and the art cover (which is what you're looking for!)
Here is a link for the app (Google play store)
I cant say I've heard of any official vinyl albums that were colored besides the promos for undertow were on clear and clear red and grey also 10000 days was never released on vinyl by the band all though there are bootlegs floating around and the only official release of lateralus is the picture disc set. edit Pretty sure I just found your copy of lateralus on discogs and it says it's an unofficial release https://www.discogs.com/Tool-Lateralus/release/2882659
Also check this out.

Side one and side 2 differ by about 6 minutes....the purported length of P8:TRH. All my money says its on the Cesaro Summability vinyl in the "silence" probably just very low volume. Now I need to buy this.
Yep, it's this thing.
Rock am Ring had a lot of problems this year (as I understand it), w weather https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jun/04/lightning-strikes-injure-scores-at-germanys-rock-am-ring-festival and had to end early. It is possible that a lot of people had left before the festival closed down.
I think Tool brought me closer to spirituality, I feel the power which flows through the music. Maynard asked us to feel it when I say them in 2001, and I did and I will continue to.
I think the feeling is more along the lines of what this lady talks about though: Jill Bolte Taylor. She talks about left brain and right brain activities. I think religeos (spiritual) experiences, psychadelics, the euphoria experienced in Music/Crowd experiences is us getting back down to our spiritual, intuitive roots.
LIsten to her talk.
The "Selections from Aenima" Promo Vinyl is the rarest most expensive tool memorabilia I've come across. There are a couple on discogs right now for $895+. (https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/1361180?ev=rb) This is the last piece I need to complete my vinyl collection and will probably never have enough funds to snag one...

As a bass player, it's mind-bending. I usually listen mostly to the bass track of a song, but man, there is so much going on that I was missing!

Good question. First time i heard this Irwindale show it was part of the Opium Den bootleg I bought on cd in 94. Since then there have been some sound board releases of the same show in it's entirety. I don't like the idea of records being pressed from cds or mp3s as it kind of defeats the purpose of listening on vinyl. I'd be okay if this was sourced from the taper who was likely using an analogue device at the time when he accessed the soundboard. Also, straight SBD recording tend to sound pretty flat without some audience sourced material mixed in. It's sad to think that someone would go to the trouble to press a record from an mp3 but there are plenty of suckers out that would buy it regardless apparently.

Not sure if you’ve got an original or why it was so expensive but I’ve seen re-issue laturalus picture disc gatefolds for $30-$40 at local record stores and guitar centers. I found one for $28 on amazon. You could get a record frame for $15 at a craft store like michaels or Joan’s. There are two different variants of the CD. The cheaper one has an art book attached and the pricier one has the video screen. There was no standard issue CD, as most people probably do streaming.
You can attach your phone/tablet to your dad's hifi with an 3.5mm jack to rca plug cable, if your device has a headphone socket. I did that until I added a proper streamer to my hifi. The cable is only about £6 on amazon. How good it sounds will depend on the quality of the dac in your phone, but it would ok as an introduction to FI.

OP, just bring some in your pocket in case you need em? Definitely the musician ones they're talking about. They're like $20 a pair but you don't want to spend $100+ on a Tool show and have the cheapos that muffles everything like people are saying.
The musician ones block the damaging sounds that just sound like added noise anyway. It filters that out so it actually sounds better with earplugs. It's really neat how you can still have a normal conversation with them on.
There's a billion brands with everyone swearing allegiance to a certain brand. The real difference is people's ear canals. Even with different sizes and shapes, it can be a bit tough to get the perfect fit.
And a lot of bad reviews for any brand, I think it's people not knowing how to insert them. You gotta sorta lift and angle your earlobe, to get the earplug fully in there (but don't like, jam it way the hell in there painful
These are my go to. The have two inserts, one for almost "too much" decibel reduction (excellent for loud ass drums), and then a medium filter insert that's perfect for a show. Vater is a drum brand, but these are universal obviously
Amazons link to Vater earpluggies
And I haven't tried these Vibes ones, but they're real popular getting great reviews. I think they have interchangeable sizes too. Vater's fit my ear perfectly though.
Sweetwater.com (online music store) Vibes Hi Fidelity earplugs
The Vater ones I just linked in other post are amazing. It doesn't matter to me that they're an actual drum brand. They're definitely universal for any person around loud shit.
They fit nice. And they have two inserts. I hit hard as fuck with large drums and cymbals, think ass sticks, etc.
The higher reduction insert is almost "too much" muffling for me. But then the medium insert is perfect. Having both is great.
There was extensive exegesis when Lateralus was first released [highly recommended PDF from 2002]. The common story was that Maynard read 'Nothing in This Book is True' right before writing lyrics for the album.
At the time, I read the book to understand these lyrics better. I also read the author's follow-up book which was similar. I can tell you because I know, it's total horse shit and nobody including you needs to waste their time reading it. It's a mishmash of meaningless drivel pulled from every corner of new-age spittle.
One idea is that reality is a manifestation of a divine decision ("Choosing to be here..."), a willing for thing to be, so it is. The "we" is universal, godlike plurality which makes this choice to have this experience which includes suffering, but the "we" transcends the experience which is ephemeral or illusionary.
I know the whole poster craze is out of control, BUT you plan to purchase a poster, perhaps consider bringing a poster bag to protect it. Also, if it is a foil print (iridescent), make sure to roll with the image outside.
This was a suggestion that was floating around in this sub: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008H4POX4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_RV6R027PHZBFYQ9MYX7E?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I hope this helps! Have a great time and spiral out my friend! 🌀
Hey I'll be there too though not nearly as close. Here's what I use for concerts. They're a little weird to me at least at first since I only wear plugs to concerts but after a while they're really natural and it will sound horrible if you take them out. Funny how that works?

Hey any plugs are better than none.
Reason I ask is because high-fidelity plugs are specifically meant to stop the thing you're posting about.
These motherfuckers will change every concert experience you have going forward. Takes out the muddiness caused by the bass and kick drum but leaves the sound crystal clear. That's why we're posting about them all the time.
Eargasm is mentioned a lot. Someone's audiologist on here recommended these so I'm going to try them next. Guaranteed no more blown speaker noise. 🤘 https://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Research-High-Fidelity-Clamshell-Packaging/dp/B00GX1TOFM/

The nice thing is that you can close just half of the ear if the sound is too low ( not sure about these ones, i used a different brand not available in the US)
Now i moved to alpine ear caps but they cut too many high tones, will roll back for future concerts as soon as the will re-start in my own country.
Wore these at the Boston show and they were fantastic! Music still crystal clear but didn’t have any ringing in my ears the next day.

It's a short film.
"Opiate2 is a special limited edition package, that includes a reimagined and extended version of the TOOL classic track. The song is presented on a blu-ray DVD that features a ground breaking short film directed by Dominic Hailstone.
Bonus features include insight and observation from special guests, and this blu-ray disc comes in a special 46 page hardcover art book that includes behind the scences and making of photos.
The song was originally released in 1992. TOOL have been performing this version of the song live on tour, but this is the first time the studio version of this song is available, along with a stunning visual in a commemorative package."
I used these and could not recommend them enough
This was my son's first drum set when he was four. It's long since been replaced with a full size kit and he's almost twelve. Never too early to think about Christmas.
Do you think these would be okay for a Tool concert? I'm planning on sitting in the nosebleeds, for what it's worth, but I might move closer if a lot of the lower seats are empty when I get there.
It does not have to be a constant state of being. I’m assuming that you’re a smart, thoughtful, introspective person and that’s why you’re in this mess. You can get yourself out of it, you have the intelligence and the wherewithal. Have you ever heard of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy? I went to see a therapist trained in this technique. I highly recommend these earplugs. I wore them for the first time when I saw Tool a couple weeks ago and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I could hear everything clearly and have conversations with my friend next to me no problem. They just cut all of the harsh and painful noise. This brand Etymotic specializes in high fidelity audio equipment so they know what they're doing.

A lot cheaper than Eargasms and worked really well. I took them out for certain songs (Pneuma, The Pot, H.w.a.P) to get the full experience, but it definitely saved my hearing that night.

someone will say they suck, but honestly, I disagree. Noticed new nuances I've never heard before.
if you can find them in US i would suggest those (or something like): https://www.amazon.it/Calmor-Tappi-Auricolari-cera-Artsana/dp/B00D3HQK0Q
they are made in wax so you can keep the hear half open in case the sound is too attenuated, i've been using them both in indoor and outdoor concerts with satisfaction
I wore these to the Tulsa show, it was the first time I’ve used them and they were perfect. No loss in sound quality at all, I could hear everything clearly. It was just like a switch that turned all the harsh and painful noises off. Could not recommend them enough.
"Occasional thunderstorms until 8:15"

Well, you used to be able to do it like this: http://osxdaily.com/2012/04/30/join-songs-in-itunes-to-play-together-as-a-group-when-shuffled/
But the options seem to have changed a bit in the current version of iTunes. There might still be away, but I don't know for sure. I never listen to music on shuffle because I like to listen to albums straight through, or make my own playlists. I don't see the point in shuffling and have always wondered why that's even a thing
reminds me of the stuff John Coltrane was supposed to have done.

Pat Martino also has a similar approach
Pro tip: AdBlock Plus
Go fucking listen to the other albums wtf lol. It would be one thing if Tool wasn't really your jam, but it seems like you really like what you've heard so far. And while Aenima is probably my fav album (most days) you are doing yourself an incredible disservice by not hearing Undertow, Lateralus, and 10000 Days.
AdBlock Plus should work in both Firefox and Chrome based browsers. https://adblockplus.org
Get two backer boards Like foam core from art supply store Posters are 18x24 So get 2 pieces. Cut to 20 x 26 Get glassine paper Put on board Put print Put another glassine paper Tape glassine paper snugly to board with masking tape Apply second backer board Masking tape the board on all 4 sides Then again, I'm a overly cautious fuck Worst case scenario Grab a bunch of thes and roll lightly and don't let anyone drop a beer on it

Highly recommend this. I’m about your age and I can get home after a concert without my ears ringing.
I’ve been using these for years and they’re unmatched for sound quality at this price range. All frequencies are equally audible and they don’t have the muffled sound that standard foam plugs do.

I have settled on these
I don’t have tinnitus, but have ear drum problem where my right ear will make a static sound around loud noises and these acoustic ear plugs are the best and most affordable one that I’ve come across. For me, most ear plugs like eargasms you just have to shove in your ear to block any sound and eventually don’t let any sound in at all. The pair I linked are shaped more like musical earbuds.
I don’t know if you were looking for recommendations, but I can actually enjoy concerts now
Search for “musician earplugs” the sound quality is still good.

Is the album 7 tracks long or 10?
https://music.apple.com/us/album/fear-inoculum/1475686696
Says it's 10 tracks, but this says it's 7
"Jones revealed in an upcoming interview with Guitar World that Fear Inoculum will be as dense musically as any prior Tool album with approximately 85-minutes of music across seven tracks, none of which are particularly radio-friendly in terms of run time."
This link should take you where you need to go, but you can also just Google "Spotify Wrapped" and find it pretty easily.

Look up poster tubes but make sure the arena allows them. Worst case maybe you can check it in a wardrobe or something? Absolute bs if they sell expensive art and won't help in it but getting ruined
I used the eargasm ones last time I saw them.

I'll be fucking off to somewhere in the Columbia River Gorge with a bag of shrooms and some friends.
Psst.. you can buy aftershock tickets now here: http://www.songkick.com/festivals/745774-monster-energy-aftershock/id/27266054-monster-energy-aftershock-2016
Probably worth it to beat the general sale crowd.
I'd actually never heard the Hubbard thing before; always had heard Rollins. There's a ton of debate here, but seemingly some agreement (at least by volume) on the Hubbard thing, but it seems.... somehow wrong. Too easy or something. I definitely don't buy that it's about Hicks. I think it's unlikely that it's about someone who was dead by the time the song was written, at the very least.

Here are the images for the first pressing, I'm missing the sticker because it is not a sealed copy, the sticker was on the shrink wrap. You know you got a 3rd pressing when the parental advisor sticker is printed into the cover, but the 1st and 2nd have stickers. I've had my concerns of it being fake but the first pressing is the only one to have black center labels and a printed inner sleeve, maybe the cover was faked/reprinted with it being the wrong serial number but I believe the rest is legit.
Thanks for the heads up though!
Certainly a beautiful collection for sure. However, I'm almost certain the first press for undertow is clear 1 LP vinyl with the same jacket as that promo version you have. https://www.discogs.com/Tool-Undertow/release/1672560 seriously though, a wonderful collection. Especially the 72826 cassette and Cesaro Summability which are truely hard to come by now. Very impressive.
Check your credit card / bank statement! If you were buying tickets through AXS, there's tons of us that had the same problem. They took our money but didn't give the tickets. I'm sure my credit card company will refund me (always use a credit card for this exact situation), but I'm sure AXS is going to make a killing on people that had the same problem and don't check their statements. They're incompetent at best, but probably just crooks.
I was charged for tickets but I never received them. I've been trying to do some sleuthing (which is how I found this thread) and it sounds like there are tons of people that got fucked like we did. Here's a bunch of examples. Sweet you got tickets though! You'll definitely be able to resell the extras, and if you used a credit card they will 100% refund you for the bunk charges. Not sure about banks (if you used a debit card), but certainly worth checking into.
It's the next level of human evolution which we will have the powers that Jesus had. It's called the Crist consciousness level according to the book, Nothing in this book is true but its exactly the way things are. I believe it's a theory by Drunlovo
I ordered my own solid plastic poster tube with carrying strap from amazon. Definitely worth the $20 to have it for reuse in the future. Just make sure the venue allows it....
I have the same one. My gf got it for me as a gift so I’m not entirely sure where she got it but there’s one on Amazon
