VLC works for everything I've downloaded. I usually want to play through Apple TV, and in that case I sometimes need to run the downloaded files through Handbrake first to convert to an mp4 format that Apple TV is OK with. https://handbrake.fr/
Hi Cherzo, with Christmas fast approaching is there any chance you could offer a download of this Christmas classic (currently available on Iplayer but god knows how long for...) please? There are 5 14 minute episodes. I would be so thankful if you have the time. I'm also trying to find the Delia Smith 1990s Christmas series but I can't find it anywhere at all. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p05jv04g/fanny-cradock-cooks-for-christmas?suggid=p05jv04g Thanks so much if you can help.
The World Stone Skimming Championship is held on the tiny Scottish island of Easdale every year. Two obsessed skimmers show us what it takes to become the world’s best. BBC Scotland 25 Feb 2019
Not quite, check this link
Season 1 consists of these 5 episodes
There are 8 specials according to TVDB, but they aren't actually specials, but seperate programs which TVDB for some reason combined with this show.
Thanks, but this is the same episode as E21 (i.e. Cromer Pier 1). Something went wonky with the distribution of the last few episodes this season (not blaming you, Cherzo, as I've seen this issue on the Torrents as well). Episode 23 is supposed to be the latest episode (i.e. Compiliation 2) according to both thetvdb.com and BBC's online episode guide.
Hullo hullo Wind of Windholm...
I can simply Rename / change the file extension:
Replace avi with mp4.
eks: PT1.avi...becomes: PT1.mp4
it works for me, I use VLC as player...!
Which, by the way plays both types.

Anyhoohow...Good luck.
Let me know, if you succeed, or not.
Greetings from a chill Denmark.
Thank you if this was you :)
Although the 'slow' download is quite slow :/
Hello :) the new series starts on Friday. I would recommend getting a subscription for NordVPN and watching it via channel 4! That’s what I do. I have a 2 year deal and it only costs a few bucks a month
Since we lost this page, I'm trying to set up a vpn (NordVPN) so that I can download UK tv shows. I've found a tool (PyIDM) that can download iplayer shows, but can't find any way of downloading channel 4 shows from 4OD, can anyone recommend a package that works on windows?
Use a vpn and watch it here.
I use F-Secure Freedome VPN. If you need it I can send you the link to install.
I had the same problem, and couldn't find any way around it - until I just successfully tried to open the link and download through a free VPN (ProtonVPN).
I'm wondering if there's some kind of covert geoblocking going on here... Certainly, it seems like google must have something sneaky happening under the hood with this.
Hello there. Cherzo uploads the episodes usually the day after it airs. If you search “Glow Up” in the r/uktvland search all the episodes that have aired are there. If they are not, you can flair a message ‘requested’ in UKTVLAND thread and Cherzo will always do their best for you. Also, maybe you don’t have a good VPN. I use NordVPN and it works great for streaming all live UK channels and streams. But I still come here for shows because Cherzo kindly removes all the advertisements. Best of luck <3
i have never had problems with BBC, Channel4 or ITV players when using ExpressVPN from US to UK. i use successfully on Windows, Mac, Linux. i had a lot of problems with ExpressVPN on ChromeOS, but works fine on Win/Mac/Linux in my personal experience for about 2 years. hope this helps!
Keeping in mind that a dedicated IP sold to you by a VPN means they know you have a specific IP address and even if they don't log, it's going to be pretty obvious if they get a subpoena that you = that IP regardless of activity.
I would not torrent on a dedicated IP address from any VPN service but one supposes that if you use iPlayer all the time and they don't block it, they likely won't ask.
If they accept gift cards or other anonymous payment (less hassle than cryptocurrency) you could do OK this route, with a masked e-mail to set it up. PIA accepts gift cards but they don't have dedicated IP and their UK nodes are pretty well blocked by BBC.
Torguard has a special streaming level above it's regular service. I think this level provides a unique IP address in the desired country for streaming. Visit Tom Spark Reviews youtube channel for a Torguard VPN streaming description and promocode.
