National Geographic have this series called "Drugs Inc" and in the "Ecstasy" episode they actually follow some paramedics during ULTRA 2010, show some front line footage of what the festival looks like from their point of view, pretty eye opening stuff, paramedic even admits to hearing that "5 people died on the first night last year"... so yeah theres alot of crazy shit that goes on behind the scenes that they will never ever let the public no about.. and frankly i think thats for the best! anyways heres a link to the video the MIAMI footage begins about 37 minutes in.. but the episode is pretty interesting in itself..

so please TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, and YOUR FRIENDS.. shit even STRANGERS... and not saying its their fault, but you shouldnt leave friends unattended FOR ANY REASON whether they are tripping or not... sucks but sometimes you gotta bite the bullet for everyones safety
PLUR EVERYONE SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!!
This isn’t a Miami thing or a music festival thing, so don’t let it discourage you from doing the things you love. This happens everywhere, in every city. People get their shit stolen wherever there are large groups of people... in tourists cities like Miami, Rome, New York, Paris... and it happens at sporting events, theme parks, concerts, bars on random Friday nights, etc. Its just a fact of life, something people in the world just suck
Just be vigilant. Be aware of high risk area and carry things in something like a belt loop wallet that can be tucked inside your pants, or a flip belt if you’re not wearing a belt.
Hi - I'm the creator of the app Alerts for Reddit, and it's just for things like this! It sends notifications for whatever subreddits you want, so you don't have to check a sub over and over again to see hot posts. Check it out if you're interested :) (iOS link, Android link)
I made a spreadsheet with the artists and what the times PROBABLY will look like. But there's no 100 percent chance they're right. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlVOrr4Kzth_dFZPMlI4OHZLNHg3VzBTS1FmdmlaZ3c#gid=0
I listened to everything I could online, and Prydz honestly had the best set I heard all weekend. Fucking amazing track selection, high energy, and perfect mixing.
Definitely downloading it for another listen.
He honestly always does fantastic live and is a really technically skilled dj.
His 2014 ultra set was good too, but he upped it a level this year.
For those wanting a listen https://www.mixcloud.com/ULTRA_2015/eric-prydz-live-at-ultra-music-festival-asot-stage-wmc-2015-miami-full-set-29-mar-2015/
Ripped from the 320kbps DI.fm stream for the full 91 minutes.
Seconding this. If you didn't hear Prydz yet, give it a listen. So good.
These are the most recommended. I have them. They work. Sounds great
Hey guys, take a look at the link below it has great pictures of the room. Don't mind the price it's not what I paid. As for the pricing it would be around $550 per person for the stay. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5113598
Searching through the comments on ultra15setup Instagram someone posted this link
https://www.behance.net/gallery/23145237/ultra-2015-stage-content-design
Looks pretty close to what we're seeing set up
Best advice is to use Google Flights. I don't know what dates you're looking to fly in and out, but there's flights for around $350 right now. https://www.google.com/flights/#search;f=LAX;t=MIA;d=2017-03-23;r=2017-03-28;q=LAX+to+MIA
Even as low as $268 for a flight leaving on the 22nd and returning 28th.
It's free if you have an Ultra ticket. From the link: Ultra Music Festival ticket holders will receive an email offering access to SiriusXM’s UMF Radio and its other programming. New customers can take advantage of a trial subscription offer to listen to the limited-run channel. For Offer Details and to sign up go to https://www.siriusxm.com/VirtualUltra.
I heard him first back in October, and instantly became obsessed like you - I've noticed that Soundcloud doesn't have a lot of his live sets posted to feed the itch I have for his music, but there are a handful of good ones on Mixcloud.
I use Earasers I can have a normal conversation with the person next to me and I can still feel and hear the bass, My head just doesn't ring after the festival.
We bought one of these and they are perfect for festivals. It's basically a rubber holder for your phone that gives you a lanyard loop at the top so you can attach a lanyard to it and loop the other end around a belt loop.
Outdoor Products H20 Performance Hydration Pack (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004H2WN2K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_v5MZwbXEC4NNE
I ordered it the week of and grabbed the cheapest one with prime shipping that I could find. Idk why I expected anything better.
they had an app last year that, in addition to having a map and the setlists, also provided some other features. apparently it's been updated.
I'm guessing it's this one, but I haven't bothered downloading it to check. I also intended to link to the Apple equivalent, but I didn't find anything in the seconds I devoted to looking for it.
I have the CamelBak Rogue, it has basically no compartments which allows for easy entry. And wouldn’t recommend storing anything on your back anyways with the amount of thefts this year. I bet you can find cheaper alternatives, but it has lasted me 7 different festivals so far so very happy with it!

If you are looking for the wiring for a hydration pack (like what is on the Lunchbox Packs) without paying their crazy costs, you can search for "EL Wire". Commonly used for decorations and in cars, which runs off an AA battery pack. It is the same product they use and most of the other LED sunglass companies wrap wires on them. Just buy the wire and make them yourself (if you feel like it).
Extra note: ALWAYS purchase extra battery packs and have them at your hotel. One of the people with me tested theirs before we left and it worked, but Thursday tried it again and it did not so Amazon next day was able to get a couple to her quickly.
I was vibing out with these rave glasses (so trippy the way the lights look with these) & my bf took the photo of me in the moment lol. & Amazon came through, got this right before ultra

Yes the neon is too much lol
Pro tip, buy one of these bad boys and teather it to your belt loop or hydration pack. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KYCQDUO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_C5SP0X4HTSHZ00RYTGMM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I never felt worried about losing my phone or ID because they was going wherever I went.
Oh God I didn't know about that and I buy this one: Hydration Pack Backpack with 2L BPA-Free Bladder, Adjustable Padded Shoulder Chest Waist Straps, Perfect Outdoor Gear for Skiing, Running, Hiking, Cycling https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08ZCRHV98/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_QFXT9JA2JKBSCP7HAN5P
You guys think that would be fine? It's my first time going.
So i should be fine with this Neboic 2Pack Hydration Backpack Pack with 2L Hydration Bladder - Lightweight Water Backpack Keeps Water Cool up to 4 Hours with Big Storage for Kids Women Men Hiking Cycling Camping Music Festival https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M7ZVJFX/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_4R83FBB7371TM8KWNCFF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is what Ultra is selling on its official website. I see there are only 2 pockets:
https://ultramerchandise.com/collections/hydration/products/ultra-hydration-bags
And this is what I ordered online but I haven’t received it yet similar to that one. It should be ok as long as it’s not backpack with lots of pockets!
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/16177826?checkin=03%2F23%2F2017&checkout=03%2F27%2F2017&guests=2&adults=2&children=0&infants=0&s=U_e_GmKt same host and place as the one above but a little different
I searched for a vod everywhere, but it seems nowhere to find. It's mostly cuz of copyright stuff. Anyway, audio set: https://www.mixcloud.com/globalsets/zedd-live-ultra-music-festival-2016-miami-20-mar-2016/
I bought this one yesterday! Hope it works:

I have one of these so it's pretty lightweight. Just for carrying around stuff like my passport, water bottle, portable charger, etc. during the day.
And you're totally right about coin lockers, I forgot about those! That's definitely the right solution, thanks!
These were the ones I used:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000DZF7T6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You could easily break the string, which I did each night, and always carry a spare with you for when you accidentally drop one.
However! They were decent, I would have preferred the foam ones I think.
How about this guy ? It's not as big as a backpack but does have a couple pockets. First timer here and don't want to be fucked without a hydro pack so any insight is helpful!
any model with two zippers on the same pocket should work. you just need two zippers so you can loop the lock between both of em :)
this is the one I have, though. doesn't come with a bladder. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G6HJLU0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Would this camelback work?
https://www.amazon.com/Hydration-Backpack-Water-Bladder-Women/dp/B00KSMVACW
Also are you sure we can bring in eyedrops? Thought I read that you can't and was bummed that I'd have to wear glasses lol
Would this camelback be an appropriate size? I do not have a facebook so I can not ask them...
Acceptable: https://www.amazon.com/Sports-Trailrunner-Hydration-Backpack-Climbing/dp/B006JYHFJA/
Unacceptable: https://www.amazon.com/Sports-Hydration-Backpack-Perfect-Climbing/dp/B006JYHG3U/
See the difference? The acceptable one clearly shows it's only the size of the bladder and nothing else. Sure, it has a pouch to carry some small items, but that's it.
The unacceptable one can hold a bladder, probably a laptop, binders, etc. That's what they consider to be a backpack.
I would say no to that, you can get a clear pvc bag off of Amazon fairly cheap. Travel Sport See Through Transparent Clear PVC Vinyl One Shoulder Sling Backpack / School Bag / Hiking / Traveling https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E2C4GM4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_QUn3JElaq5QtL
When they mean clear bags they mean it. With all that has been happening with shootings in Miami and around the United States they are cracking down. Security it's going to be tight especially after the bar shootings and the airport shootings. Spend the extra few bucks and buy a clear bag off of Amazon or whatever sight you get your gear from. Travel Sport See Through Transparent Clear PVC Vinyl One Shoulder Sling Backpack / School Bag / Hiking / Traveling https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01E2C4GM4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_mNKKyb20Q744N
YES. I've worn these to several festivals and they are amazing & a good price: https://www.amazon.com/DownBeats-Reusable-Fidelity-Hearing-Protection/dp/B00A3Z44RW/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1484676681&sr=8-1&keywords=downbeats&th=1
camelbaks are allowed as long as they're not as large as a REGULAR BACKPACK. I asked Ultra directly myself just yesterday and showed a pic of this model I have-
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G6HJLU0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
they said it's fine
Got a pair of these last year for LIC & they saved my life! Just use Amazon Prime if you've got it. If not the old duct tape & the thigh method?
I went ahead of purchased this GoPro pole for my cam. Now the rules say the following: "Regarding action cameras – yes to strap headwear or non-extendable handles" This handle that I have does extend, however it has a locking mechanism where you have to twist it in order for it to extend. Do you guys think security will let it slide if I tell them it's not extendable? Was thinking of giving it to my GF maybe they'd let her slide rather some guy. I know it all depends on the person just want feed back. Worst case I'll leave it at the gate if I have to!
that's my plan....I bought one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3L-Hydration-Packs-Tactical-Molle-Water-Bag-Assault-Backpack-Hiking-Sport-Pouch-/131341330193?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item1e948da711
and this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ONT6WF6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to put inside it with my valuables (12000mah charger, cell phone, wallet, etc)
