What the fuck. It's real. What the fuck.
Also, I'm gonna miss Google's blobs :( Seeing that new Google design on Emojipedia just made it set in that they're really going away. :'(
Did you know that the Sony Ericsson W850i Walkman™ phone didn't have a 3.5mm jack?
I did, and that's where my love of BlooTooth came about. Screw the haters ####MW600 4 lyf
Raves: I was beta testing Cinnamon Grocery List for /u/ProfessorOakTree and not only has he been awesome for feedback, he's also made a fantastic app. I'd totally recommend trying it out.
Rants: People are gonna buy the Note 5 and the Edge+. They will say how great they are, and that they're inevitably better than this year's Nexus phones. And in 6 months it'll all be regret and 'why aren't I on 6.1.1?".
Also, there is absolutely no way that /r/Android will be happy with the new Nexus 5. We'll hear all this jerking when it comes out defending it, and soon after a counter-jerk about how other phones are better and why is everyone saying this phone is so great. Or god forbid, it might have the 810! What'll happen then? /r/Android will lose their collective heads.
I ask, as I posted the competition around here....
Did you see it here and/or what are your plans? I'd go with a Tasker shortcut to
>OK Google, show me /r/androidcirclejerk
and then fix their shit PC with Drivedroid while using wireless adb and charging.
edit: Calling [Ron](/u/4567890) because he's good at this shit.
you can do it bro. I was reading /u/IAmAN00bie's glorious manifesto and updroiding it to the top post on /r/applecirclejerk (NSFW/NSFL) and they tried to fight by setting the font to some bullshit that makes your eyes burn when you see it.
fortunately, I was prepared for this in nexuswarrior basic training back in my younger days, and knew how to handle it. Acting quickly to save my eyes, I simply highlighted all the text and copied it. I then pasted it into google keep and was able to view it in peace, thus crushing the best "plan" those lowly isheep were able to come up with.
It's called Draft, we're a fantasy sports app. Soon to be in full material too. So stoked to get it there. So /u/vlees doesn't have to worry since all our testing/QA is done only on sexus devices ;)
In our next update the background is going to be white and all radios will have ripples.
even the Gulagshit Ass 7 Active can't survive that...
/uj for some reason, the S7 Active is not even waterproof. S7 & S7E however survived
Substratum :) Theme is here, Substratum can be found here. Please note that Substratum requires either root or a custom ROM built with Substratum commits, which is most nowadays. However, if there's anything to root or ROM for, it's definitely Substratum.
If you can't pay for a theme, DNA Dark has a similar look and is free.
If you would like help with rooting or putting a custom ROM on your device, the OnePlus 3 is super easy to do it with. I'm happy to guide you through it.
Use Swipe Pro, for Facebook. Check it out. There's also a pro version.
Yep that's one of my favorite features, but supposedly developers don't use it because it goes against the material guidelines. If you're using Xposed, check out lolistat. It matches the navbar color with the status bar for every app, and since it uses the native api, it works seamlessly.
/uj ~~Android Nougat (top) or Android P (bottom)?~~
~~P Developer Preview was just released for Pixel Devices.~~
Edit: On second thought, you were probably wondering what app I used to make this. It was Pixlr.
/uj Seriously though, stay away from these RAM cleaners (esp the ones with those fancy animations), they’re most likely infested with adware/spyware and do more harm than good. Greenify is your friend. And if you have root, then either Trimmer (fstrim) or SSD Boost is a must have as it helps minimize writings on your phone’s SSD, thereby reducing lag.
Hey guys, don't forget to support my Patreon. Don't forget we have merch for sale on the website, check that out to help the channel. Smash that MF thumbs up, subscribe to the channel and hit the bell icon. And now let's get on with the video.
I use this one, but there are tons out there and this is just the first one that did the job.
Also, for pokemon go, you might want to find one that lets you move the gps around. This app lets you pick points and teleport, but not move as if you were traveling.
It's a link to Google's be Fool with friends section here, the app on the holy sexus is of unholy design but can be found here no idea what the other app is looks like its choosing emoji's for chating or something hmm anyone?
/uj I don't even understand why you need it. I could only imagine using it to remove bloatware and this tiny, single purpose app is better for that...
Apple does decide what Emoji get added to Unicode.
They veto'd the "rifle" emoji because it was too similar to the existing "pistol" (and totally not for retarded political reasons).
You can download chrome dev if you want to try this. I think the usability is actually way better now with the navigation on the bottom. The design is a horrible copy of iOS though.
I'd use AOSP or something like it on my phone but god dammit, I love the extra functionality Samsung put in there. I use the S Pen and all the other apps and gadgets daily. Also, Soundcamp. Fuckin' love that.
I don't know if this would belong here but i heard that ZunUI is really ugly and i wanted to try it out for shits and giggles. Asus has the launcher you can download on the Google Play store, however I'm wondering if i could even trust them with the vast amount of permissions it asks for. Have any of you guys tried it out and if you have what do you think of it? Or maybe your adventurous and you could try it for me, here's the link k for the play store to the zenui launcher
If you've tried it before please give me your opinion
I noticed that its not in the search also, but you can still download if you already bought it. You just gotta go to it directly. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
I don't know if any of you have heard of it yet, but yesterday I discovered a cool Reddit app that has Material Design. It is called Sync for Reddit and the dev is on reddit too - /u/ljdawson!
I see confederate flag apps removed. But I see games that use the flag as part of history still there https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microids.google.bcnorthvssouthfreemium&hl=en
Which is the right way to do it.
Yes. That screenshot is a cringeworthy mess and TouchJizz hurts my eyes.
/uj Sam-Il-Sung hate aside, the filter (it's rather red) is supposed to reduce the blue light emitted by the display so it doesn't keep you awake too much (bilogical stuff, blah blah...). It should be this app.
/j Still not an excuse for not turning it off before taking a screenshot or not sacrificing that Sam-Il-Sung POS to DuARTe and getting a Nexus.
Today my worst fears came to pass: Nokia will release a 41-megapixel monstrosity called the Lumia 1020. It is basically a Lumia phone, which is fine, but it has a bright flash, an acceptable lens, and a pro camera app. The only thing Nokia didn’t add was market insight and common sense.
Nokia is famous for making goofy phones. It seems there is some predilection towards brief insanity that manifests itself every few months and the last thing Nokia needs right now is to look like it’s out of control. A 41-megapixel phone looks great behind the glass of a mall kiosk, and that’s exactly where it will stay as customers buy Nokia’s actual phones and ignore this chimera.
High-megapixel phones are too cute and clever by half. They are a manufacturer’s attempt to add flair to an other wise drab line up and I guess they serve to make the R&D guys happy and give the marketing guys a new number to put in newspaper circulars. But no one buys them. Samsung recently launched the S4 Zoom with 16MP and optical zoom and I doubt they will sell more than a few thousand at best. Barring the odd consumer who simply must have a good sensor when taking pictures of their pasta, the camera on most phones is acceptable at worst and just dandy at best.
This isn't even from a reddit post, this is a fucking techcrunch article.
Installing apps work,
Wi-Fi partially works (DNS still fails, hence no web) (the reason Wi-Fi failed last time was 'cause I forgot to copy over wpa_supplicant)
SuperSU is still broken, but Amazon Appstore worked! Why? Is it scared of the power of Holo+SuperSU? Maybe.
Posting here 'cause I can't edit my own XDA thread!
~~Where are you getting your data for Jelly Bean?~~
~~Announced June 27, 2012 @ Google I/O~~
~~Released to AOSP July 9, 2012~~
~~Pushed to Nexus 7 July 13, 2012~~
E: Sorry, didn't see that you didn't make this.
Subsonic? I don't know what you're missing from iTunes since I've never used it so I might be a football field off here.
It's what I use and along with DSub (the dev rocks and, w/ Chromecast support too fuck the free client) I, and all those other iShills and Nexus Warriors (~~don't know if there's a client for Windows Phone~~ edit: there's clients for all and the server can be installed on a multitude of OS/devices) can get at my music anytime they want. Auto downloads podcasts, users can upload music to the server and, you can be fairly granular with users permissions. There's more I could bang on about it but try it, it's free, interface is a bit clunky but it has served me well (donate version here) for quite a few years now.
If you check out Ubuntu's forums there's lots of people asking for alternatives to iTunes so maybe a search over there may bring you some answers.
FUCK iTUNES WITH A BARGE POLE
There is a free version of Word and some other parts of Office suite online. Works the same as Google Docs does where you use a browser, but you don't run into any bullshit with converting file types and compatibility. I personally find Word and Excel online to be more functional than the Google equivalents.
/uj Is the night mode in Maps also on OEM units too? I thought it was a bug from my 3rd party unit that doesn't "sync" with the car lights that's causing issues. I use this app to activate night mode anyways, but Maps has been super buggy lately.
Plus Messenger allows for theming
Join the group here and some helpful soul will link you the dark theme ;)

Examples? I'm on iOS, and there are some apps unavailable on the platform available on Android only (such as this Lojban dictionary app).
Android Wear notifications compatible. Apps are completely different. Apps like these, even apps like Keep, Fit, Eat24 won't work. Pebble's new update supports AW's notifications- notifications like "delete", "reply", "open on phone", and others.

/uj It's "Lollipop Port". Requires IconBundles to be installed. If you want a full tutorial on how to apply check this link: https://ghostbin.com/paste/9va8v. Only works on 8.x, and considering you're using an iPod 4 on 6.x, the theme alone might work, but the full shiz may not.
I hadn't noticed that!
A little googling reveals that life-coach Anna-Christina Douglas is now a VP at Yahoo:
Can't manage to find what became of anyone else.
Also here (second image) is a nexus 7 running a photoshop of 4.2! Bro, Google doesn't even #HOLO. That being said at least they managed to change he first picture of Nexus 5 running Kit Kat. That kind of shit normally takes them 1 year to change.
I just installed Google Opinion Rewards + Hotspot Shield to access the service from Venezuela (yes, I have toilet paper in my home, thanks for asking). Set everything up, got a dollar, it's pretty great.
After a couple of days, I've now found that my account changed regions from Venezuela to the US. That means I now have some perks like podcasts on Play Music.
I now also have full access to the Google Store, which means that I may now change my shill phone (Moto G 2015) for a Sexus (don't get me wrong, the Moto is a great device, but slow updates, no NFC, no gyro and the whole Lenovorola deal makes me want to save some money and switch). I also have a Sexus 7, but it's starting to age.
Now, should I just buy the Nexus 6P now, or wait for this year's unveiling (Marlin/Sailfish)? I'm not in a hurry, and I may have to wait until I have some money.
Super late, but, you can get relatively small peltier tiles that work as thermoelectric generators. One thing to note however is you can't generate any sort of [work](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_(physics\)) out of heat alone. What's needed to generate power is a thermal gradient, you need something cold and something hot. So putting a thermoelectric tile in a smartphone would be pretty useless since you wouldn't be able to keep one side of it cold enough.
Nice! I like that battery bar! I used to have it a few roms back. I might root my Moto X pure again, but I'm waiting for nougat firmware to drop.
I had this on my last dirty unicorn rom, but it's an app now.
My favorite games that are not clash of clans are:
