Don't be interested in meeting girls. Be interesting and you will meet girls.
I know it is hard sometimes as a young dude. When I was in college at your age, women were mysterious, and if you're too interested you can come off as a bit of a creep. I'm pretty sure I was a bit creepy at times, though I felt like I was being totally normal. I just hadn't spent enough time around women (and girls your age can be very hard to read).
So go do stuff that you like that other people also like. Be interested in doing stuff, and meet other people who are interested in that stuff. Then, instead of making a plan so that you can invite a girl to it, make a plan, and then also invite a girl to it. Just be sure it is something you already want to do, even if you can't get a date.
Invite people to hang out or go do stuff, but again, be casual. Don't be pushy, and don't get upset if people say they can't go or don't want to. That's the idea of doing things you already want to do.
Join some kind of club or group. Try meetup.com. Join a gym and make friends with people there, and then even if you go there and talk to no one, you can get in a workout at least. Take a class. Get a hobby.

An opinion that was written by Witz while he was at LSU.
as others have said, the big ones in baton rouge proper are the levee and the lakes. the training route is okay but nothing special unless you like pushing big watts on the flat, i've personally never understood the appeal
the levee is long, flat, and car-free with nice views of the river. it's asphalt all the way from downtown to the auberge casino and beyond that unmaintained gravel going all the way down to new orleans. lots of pedestrians early on going south but it gets quiet once you get beyond the apartment complexes.
you can actually go fairly fast on the lakes, and i find it a bit more fun to push hard through the turns there. watch for cars through blind corners and pedestrians. bit of elevation around the city park/dalrymple area but definitely optional, you'll be begging for it after a while riding in baton rouge.
alligator bayou (manchac road) is a really nice twisty road with lots of shade and a 15mph speed limit. good way to do a century is out and back from in town down there on river road, give or take a few miles.
other than that nearly everyone with a car drives up to st. francisville for cycling, which is hilly idyllic and wonderful. i rarely get up there but when i do it's always a great time
I also found some pictures from someone's facebook. Exposed coffins and remains...
It's absolutely appalling.
I also found why the cemetery is in such disrepair in recent years.
In 2002, Fred C Matthew's Jr., the head of the Sweet Olive Cemetery Association died, and the Association seems to have died with him.
He has surviving children. I'm going to attempt to contact them and some of the previous metro council members from his district to see if I can reach someone that "oversees" the grounds.
The MidCity Redevelopment Alliance hosts a yearly cleanup in October, but as you said, the issues is neglect, not a lack of volunteers. There are usually 300+ on cleanup days.
We need to try to revitalize the Sweet Olive Cemetery Association. It's a large part of the history of Baton Rouge, and it needs to be preserved.
Gonna +1 the first guy's suggestion. Amazon has a lot of really nice ones for pretty good prices. eBay and Cozycatfurniture are also good choices.
iirc, I saw one on Craigslist not too long ago if you want to look into that.
Yes I have the app. It literally tells you what permissions it asks for on Google Play, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gov.la.omv.lawallet. Look at the Permissions section, nothing shady.
Does anyone know if this is legit or not? My husband is unemployed and would like to help if there's anything like this available. Also, if this does turn it to be a scam, I need to let people know, because my friends on fb are sharing it all over the place.
Can't offer you anything, but can suggest a direction not known to many.
LDAR techs, They start at ~16, but it can grow after 6 months, with some exp. Need a TWIC and a drug screen. 4 tens is the usual schedule, EPA compliance is recession proof.
Pretty easy, and no one bothers you. 18+ within a year, a buddy of mine is $25/hr after 1 year(has degree).
Openings to be had without needing to be a relative.
My boyfriend is selling his guitar. It is a 2006 Epiphone SG Les Paul g400. He is asking $475, but please make offers.
I've been able to pick up Lafayette channels in EBR and Ascension with an antenna similar to this one. It was mounted outside and I used TVfool to figure out which direction to point it.
Moving in a few months, need to sell stuff that's too large to bring. Will donate to a non-profit/charity if you can prove you work with one, no scamming attempts please. MUST pick up from my apt. complex on Jefferson near Essen - a pickup truck would be needed for the Pullup station due to how bulky it is.
Pullup/Dip Station - (https://www.amazon.com/Stamina-50-1690-1690-Power-Tower/dp/B002Y2SUU4/?th=1) $25 OBO

Dining Table & Chairs - similar to this (https://www.roomstogo.com/furniture/product/market-street-black-5-pc-rectangle-dining-set/4211173P) but black and a slightly older model. Quite sturdy, not unattractive but has some wear and tear. Would be great for a game room. $150 OBO.

YMCA is probably the easiest. You get access to all the Y's in the area with the membership, and they offer a lot of different amenities. Although with that schedule you'd likely have to go early as the Y's aren't open late.
Don't worry about being judged - in general people at the gym don't care how strong you are or what you look like and are generally helpful. I definitely recommend having a plan of what you are doing when you go so you don't wander around trying to figure it out (which muscles/exercises you want to do). I would recommend something like Arnold's Body Building Encyclopedia (https://www.amazon.com/New-Encyclopedia-Modern-Bodybuilding-Updated/dp/0684857219). It's a solid reference even for very beginners or casual gym goers for how to do exercises and use equipment correctly, what muscles they develop, body types, diet, sample workout plans, etc.
Great points, finding a way to help others get there is essential. If you haven't yet, go to https://www.facebook.com/OccupyBR and say this on the forum where everyone has gathered. We need more people with great ideas speaking out.
If anyone needs multiple, I recently swapped out the ones in my house with these. They last 10 years and you never have to replace the batteries on them. Just throw them out and replace.
The police aren't going to do anything, so you might as well provide your neighboring entredonneurs a sharps bucket.
> he same garbage for the most part. It's either "mega comfy leather chair that starts peeling within a year" or "cushioning is gone within a few months"
^^^ this man gets it. Get on craigslist and buy the best chair money can buy. Lots of companies are closing their office so getting one of fb/craigslist is easy. setup alerts for tbe the first.

I use this at work. It's not bad also.
To submit jobs.
I've placed the frame for a quadcopter in the queue.
Next up, Chess set, and this thing:
Stephanie Fontenot at Hair Works (337-280-5147) is incredibly talented when it comes to coloring and does a great job for a fair price. She used to have a Groupon but it looks like it has since ended. I would highly recommend her.
We threaded the needle with it. It split and went east and west of us. It's dropping a lot of water on the river north of us though, so it's not like we're completely safe.
You can just leave that link open in a tab and monitor.
I just pulled a bunch off the site. Then rode around on my KLX and tracked them down. One of my favorites was by the observatory and a good one near the hospitals off of blue bonnet.
I usually tried to pick ones that were in the woods, as well as normal ones.
Fuck that noise, dont stay in a shitty hotel like a peon. Live like a king for $4-500//week ;)
Problem solved 100%.

Custom Colors. They really helped me out before I left for school. A van backed into my car and left a nasty dent. After two failed attempts to get the proper door from the Subaru dealership in Laffy, they were able to pop the dent and repaint the door. Beautifully, might I add.
1931 was the start of WWII in the Pacific, maybe war or patriotism related?
I got no idea but either way it looks cool. #BringGreekAdsBack
Yandex has a cool image OCR text translate feature. It's putting ΜΕΓΑΛEITEPΑI ΕIΣ ΤΗΝ IΣΤΟΡΙΑΝ as "GREATEST IN HISTORY". No hits on the first line or last line.
Modern computing is almost all chaining together 3rd part stuff these days.
Is open source firewall and router, it basically gives you the same functionality in a limited capacity as a lot of more business focused commercial hardware. There is a bit of a learning curve.
If you aren't and don't want to become a network security guy, I would recommend spending more time making sure your cloud storage is backed up(and can be restored) , as well as your home computer.
If you are using office 365 there are a lot of things you can take advantage
Before hiring an exterminator, try Advion Gel. Unfortunately it's not carried in stores so you will need to order it from Amazon.
Correct. So if you’re at home on wifi, you won’t use any of your data. Everybody has different data needs, but this month was the first time I’ve ever exceeded my limit, and that was because we didn’t have internet at home for over a week. And even then, Mint refunded any additional data purchased due to the storm.
If you’re curious, you can buy a trial SIM from Amazon for $1, and pop it in and see if your phone works with it. They come with a little data too, so you can try it at work and places you regularly go to make sure service is to your liking.

I have the 150 Mbps package. Costs about equal to Cox, but better consistency and reliability. Handled 3 kids doing remote school and me and the wife doing our thing. Modem they supply has WiFi built in, but there were dead spots in dining room and other parts of the house, so I got a hybrid-mesh wifi with 3 extenders. I think they have an option now where you can get the whole house wifi with extenders that works with the modem, but not sure.
Cox would have problems when it rained hard, which is not uncommon in these parts and I would often have to reboot the cable modem.
Also, when Covid lock-down hit, there were so many complaints from neighbors about Cox internet. Must have had too much traffic with all the kids doing school at the same time. Glad I changed when I did (Early Feb 2020).
Tired of the pandemic? Want to drink your sorrows away?
I have a Margaritaville drink maker blender (I think it is the Bahamas model) for sale for $75. It shaves ice for frozen drinks then drops it down into a blender and blends it with your drink mix of choice. It is in perfect condition (I used it three times). The link below is the model on amazon if you want more info about it.

Bought this, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DNJZ58M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Get all Baton Rouge, some Lafayette and some New Orleans channels. In my attic, facing the Mississippi River.
Point towards the Mississippi River if you aren't already.
I get BR, NOLA (sometimes) and Lafayette feeds (only at night). So it could be your antenna.
This is the one I have - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DNJZ58M/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They won't just give you a digital tuner, even if you are paying for internet. It's basically their way of charging you $40 a month for local channels.
This is the OTA I got. It's 38.99 and I get everything in the BR area, Lafayette and Hammond. Even works flawlessly in the rain (unlike DirecTV/Dish).
The setup isn't bad at all, it's basically 6 screws and snapping the wires into the correct place. Mines in the attic also.
Will be moving soon so getting rid of a few things. Let me know if interested in anything and I will take some pics.

Probably have more to list the closer it gets to moving day.
I get everything on the list except 48.1 using this http://www.amazon.com/Amplified-Digital-Motorized-Rotation-Infrared/dp/B00SFXDSVC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1457811094&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=hd+antenna&psc=1 mounted on a 20' pole in the backyard. It has a rotor but it is set to where I get everything without moving.
I'm interested, but won't be able to participate until after May. I'm an experienced foil fencer, though I haven't had a bout in several years. I have a pair of waisters I can bring, but I lack other equipment. You guys still going to be going strong in a few months?
I picked up a "nano" quadcopter for less than $20. It fits in the palm of your hand and you'll get less than 10 minutes of flight time per battery charge, but they are perfect for learning how to control a quad. It is more difficult than you'd think! Here is a link to the one I have.
Always check the Kelley Blue Book value.
You may also want to look online for common issues that the vehicle has.
Make sure the check engine light isn't on, and that they haven't disconnected the battery recently (since this is a quick way to clear any trouble codes detected by the car. You should do that with a scan tool, but you can also look for other less definitive clues (like the radio presets being reset).
A scan tool is definitely worth investing in. I personally purchased this bluetooth one, and have some apps on my Android phone to connect to it. If you have an Apple phone, you will have to look elsewhere, or carry a bluetooth capable laptop to check on the sensors.
If you do notice any issues, it's sometimes worth asking the seller if they will be willing to fix it, or if they will be willing to lower the asking price to compensate. If it's something like the battery not charging, the alternator may be bad, but that's something relatively cheap. If the transmission is fucked, you'll be looking at a serious repair bill in the thousands. At that point, however, the seller will probably be interested in finding a sucker elsewhere.
Finally, find out why the seller is selling their car, and how long they've been trying to sell it. If it's been on the market for weeks, that's usually a bad sign - decent cheap college kid cars get snapped up quick.
There's a snub nose and a 4 inch barrel model. For your purposes I'd go with the 4 incher. Also, this grip makes the gun a million times more comfortable to hold.
