If you need to synch and the TV is delayed more than the radio here's how you do it:
mpv.exe
then the link to the media file. Or just open a command prompt (powershell, terminal emulator, whatever).Of course if it's the radio that's behind the TV then use your DVR or most streams let you pause video.
I'll take a sidestep and tell you to check out this book. It's called "Take Your Eye off the Puck: How to Watch Hockey By Knowing Where to Look."
It's a solid book. It will go over the basic forechecking systems, what each player is supposed to do on the ice, how superstitious goalies are, etc. It's like $6 on Amazon. Here's the link:

Look at the overhead angle on this link. Ward's skates are not at all in the blue paint. Lundqvist leans in, Stepan pushes Ward as Ward is turning, that's where the contact happens.
Hooktube no longer works for its original purpose (a way to view youtube videos without supporting google), but it still has basic functionality including a working button to download the video you're watching. You can literally just change the "you" to "hook" in the url of the youtube video you're viewing, eg change
https://youtube.com/watch?v=HQuKubm7iBE
to
https://hooktube.com/watch?v=HQuKubm7iBE
There's also an "Alternate Tube Redirector" extension for firefox that can switch you over to hooktube (or invidio.us, if you prefer) automatically.
Also, if you have a decent connection and hard drive space, the program "lazyman", found on reddit's /r/lazyman, can be used to download full games. I have every game from the run backed up, I'd like to upload them to a mediagoblin or peertube instance but from what I've seen the publicly available ones quite understandably don't allow uploads that large.
Good luck OP, hope things improve for you soon.
I don't know how comfortable you are with scripting, but there's a free tool called gifsicle that I've tested running over a few of your gifs, and it's able to cut down up to about 10% of the filesize with no loss of image quality. Specifically the option "-O=3". You can get longer gifs at the same filesize, or just help save bandwidth.
Okay, this won't be a great guide but I'll try to make it easy.
mpv.exe
then the link to the media file. Or just open a command prompt (powershell, terminal emulator, whatever). You could head over to r/lazyman and install it. It allows you to stream live and past games in up to 720p. You'd have to also install the mpv video player to be able to jump around in the stream (doesn't work in VLC, however). The install guides are found on the right hand side of the page.
Here are the results so far. Somebody actually voted for the Ovi/Backstrom deal.
40% think biggest issue is Defensive depth
35% think it's the coaching staff
There isn't any unity on how to fix it.
I've got two ideas for you at two different price points. this is a crystal see through puck filled with water made from the melted ice from the Stanley Cup final. Really cool memorabilia.
This is a book that was released by the Washington Post (the amazon one ships on July 2nd) and it's a collection of images and articles from "the journey to the 2018 Stanley Cup). I don't know if it includes the regular season or not, because obviously mine hasn't shipped yet either
Pretty sure you are talking about 100 Things Capitals Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die which is written by Ben Raby and Craig Laughlin
Here’s the link if you needed it :) https://www.amazon.com/Things-Capitals-Fans-Should-Before/dp/1629373389
unblock-us is a DNS based VPN, so it's just a matter of updating the DNS servers for the AppleTV (or on your router if you want your whole network to use it)
They have instructions at:
I worry about using an illegal stream. I know they have been active for a number of years but that doesn't mean they can't be shut down at any time. No refunds if or when that happens.
I'm thinking of trying out GCL this year with a VPN. I already use a VPN service, VyprVPN and it is great. I watch British and Canadian TV streams and it is nice and fast.
Last year there was some service that also offered a discounted GCL sub, $99 /year. It gave you the international price and worked even if you use a US address and credit card number. Cannot remember the name though, Ad something?
They are 2" letters. What I used are not going to be very permanent tough, similar to these -
http://www.amazon.com/Duro-Decal-Permanent-Adhesive-Letters/dp/B002Y2NYJG/ref=pd_bxgy_201_text_y
For something more permanent I would go for iron-on letters like these -
http://www.amazon.com/SEI-2-Inch-Block-Letter-Transfer/dp/B0018N7D76/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_y
Make sure not to melt the jersey with the iron though :)
The front of the jersey is blank if you want to add a couple of 3" numbers as well.
You can probably find some sort of lettering at Michael's, Joanne's Fabric or Staples.
My bad on the earlier response. Here is the link to the holders I bought.

Ahhh my bad. Picked them up from Amazon. Here’s the link

> Baggallini Can you link to the bag you have or share a photo? We're going at the end of the month and I'm worried that the bag I'm looking at on Amazon will be denied (I've had to throw bags away in the past)

Thanks for this, I'll look into Brad Traverse after work. I've also been informed about JobsthatareLEFT https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/JobsThatAreLeft so maybe this might help you expand your interests.
Wow...I was just about to post almost the EXACT same thing today, and for the exact same reasons. As soon as the box popped up asking for permission to my Google Calendar, I did an immediate u-turn and said, "um...no."
Instead of starting an entirely new post, I'll just go ahead and share my own version of the Caps schedule here as well. It's in ICS format (iCal) which can be loaded into Google Calendar as well as others. It's the full season, both home and away (and preseason). Home and away games are easily identifiable by the syntax (home team is always listed 2nd):
Home games = [opponent] vs Caps
Away games = Caps @ [opponent]
Locations have been included for all events. The March 15 game against Boston listed as "TBD", but I tentatively put it on the sched for 1900 with a note that it is listed as "TBD". All games are scheduled for a 3 hour block.
Definitely not trying to step on OP's toes, and I'll delete this comment if anyone feels I am, but if you'd prefer this format, you can download my schedule here.
EDIT: added info
TJ Oshie's interview was incredible. Words of wisdom that go far beyond the sport of hockey. I made a T-Shirt to memorialize those words. Go Osh and congrats to the Capitals! https://tinyurl.com/TJOshieShirt
Haha I feel you. FWIW we used this to clean the lighter hats we own and it worked great. Kept the hat shape perfectly

i was successful getting a couple shipped via phone order from ice plex. you have to fill out a form and they call you back for specifics. i got mine this afternoon and they still had stock.
Channel lineups vary by location, but FX and USA are part of the base level in the DC area. You can see more info here: https://www.playstation.com/en-us/network/vue/
I don't know how good it will be on a 4K TV, but CSN was great on my HD for Game 1. NBCSN hasn't been as good, but I'd say it's better than what I get over NHL TV and I have't used it much yet so it's a very small sample size. There are some reviews on /r/cordcutters that are informative.
One thing is Sony does not let you move the device to a new zip code w/o it being a permanent move. However I'm told you can use VUE as a content provider in some mobile apps. I haven't tried this yet however.
Sling TV works pretty well, I use their service for the NBCSN games (if you ever lose that log in that you may or may not have). I also had NHL TV for part of the season last year, that works pretty well plus you can get the Washington broadcast crew which I like. I waited for NHL TV until they ran a sale though, so I missed probably 30 games or something.
I'm listening to Capitals Talk right now and Alan May is eviscerating the twitter instant criticism culture where the fans leap upon the coach or team after every loss. "It's not the end of the world after one game."
https://www.podparadise.com/Podcast/1206072242/Listen/1550031231/0
While the team is kind of iffy right now they can grind through it. All this overreaction is silly.
Start here.
They replay the games all the time, it's up to you to figure out how to record them.
Its not quite, its not electronic, but I've not seen a cat who won't spend hours with it.
Use the refund to buy a VPN subscription. NordVPN is my recommendation. Find a location that offers the full subscription for 5 dollars. That's what I paid last week, can't remember where I was connected from at the time. Just try different countries until the price changes to 5 bucks.
Then use the VPN to connect from a different location to watch any game live/on demand from wherever you are. Or just stream the games, another commenter recommended a good ".net" site :)
Huh? It came up for me. Here is the Google Play Store link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orbis.orbis
Hope that helps!
I would say buy access to a vpn. You'll need it if you want your data encrypted either way. I always use it at public hotspots or to get around netflix/pandora/spotify blocks at work. Def worth the investment.
ELI5: a VPN makes your computer "appear" anywhere in the world that you can set it. So if you wanna watch a Caps game, make your location Seattle.
I use a VPN called Private Internet Access and it's $40 a year. It's great, and I recommend it to anyone who uses the Internet in public or at work. I split it with a few people and only pay $10 a year.
There are tons of services for ~$5 a month that avoid all blackouts. I'm sure there are cheaper and even free options if you put in some legwork.
I pay $5 a month for Unblock-Us. It works great, even for the playoffs.
As a counterpoint to everyone saying metro, my suggestion is the spot hero app. I go before every game and pick a parking garage nearby for about $10 and get a barcode on my phone that I can scan at the garage. This guarantees me a spot and is much easier than metro in my opinion.
Warmups will be at about 6:25 pm and you can go down to the 100s sections to stand by the glass and watch the warmups (no matter where your seats are) If you get there in time for warmups, there shouldn't be bad lines to get in. If you Google capital one arena rules or something like that, they should have a list of what you can and can't bring. If you have a baby, the arena gets pretty loud and you should consider hearing protection for them. I see babies at games wearing something like this usually
Is it something like this: http://www.amazon.ca/Great-American-Products-Rangers-Set-Primary/dp/B001ATSKI4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1430232046&sr=8-2&keywords=new+york+rangers+shot+glass
You're referring to?
I'm down for whatever, just post your preferred glass for if you win haha.
