Bluestacks gets recommended a lot.
I’m currently setting up Genymotion. That emulator is enterprise grade software for app and game developers. They give it away for personal use. Setup seems to be more involved, though.
https://www.genymotion.com/fun-zone/
Both have Mac versions.
Not yet. I posted a report for Modern World, Super Soft Drink and Soldier's Way here on reddit. Soldier's has a more detailed report when it comes to what types of enemy ships per wave.
No way im gonna put my reports on True Divine Trial and For Freedome here in reddit for a while.
I've been very impressed by this team of devs on their amazing adaptation of one of the most intricate PC game onto a user friendly mobile version without sacrificing any core gameplay. Their constant updates on issues and handling of server downtime has been nothing short of stellar.
Awesome. How do you install the config file? Can't find any information online about it.
Edit: Nevermind, found it here: https://www.bluestacks.com/features/game-controls.html
Scroll down to "How to Import and Export Game Controls" section
I had no luck finding an emulator that runs the game. Tried with genymotion and android-x86 as a vm. Even with sideloading the apk, it seems to not work. =(
I then decided to use scrcpy. Not an emulator, but at least I can play on the pc. https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy
I also thought about using an emulator in a win10 vm, but it seems I deleted the vm I had and couldn't find my iso. Would probably run super slow anyway. Maybe I'll try it on the weekend.
You can use this battery module in one of your low slots.
Hey man, welcome back! Try the sweet app, it's available on android and ios i think. Here's a link on play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sillykat.eve.sweet
I use it to test out my builds before I actually commit with rigs.
Literally just installed the first Networking Monitoring Software I found in Playstore, run it and low and behold. Port 443
I wanna say Bellicose 3 Covops, but I could be wrong. Maybe Stabber 2? This dude's fitting tool might help you design a ship with the stats you like before building and skilling into it.
https://apkpure.com/eve-echoes/com.netease.eve.en is the one I used, but I wasn't able to sideload it without doing it from the APKPure app itself, for some reason it wouldn't let me sideload it via the browser saying it couldn't open the file.
Its a long standing tradition in EO, the devs have even covered it going back in 2012 https://www.eveonline.com/article/observing-the-burn-jita-player-event
Eve players are well known for pushing the boundaries of the sand box and showing their distain for bad changes. Its honestly just unfortunate there's no highsec PVP or this event would have been much more entertaining.
YES, this is the best time to play Eve Online ! war is raging, a niiice Winter Event with fat loot, and so many activities

Bonus Features: EO have exploration, the best game mechanic ever
In similar ways to EE: crafting fees, skill fees, taxes (much lower in EO), station fees, NPC bought items.
They publish a periodic report on the economy, here is April 2020 (whatever the first hit on Google was):
https://www.eveonline.com/article/qaqgqt/monthly-economic-report-april-2020
And specifically a graphic about the faucets and sinks:
Eve Online has a much lower transaction tax, but much higher transaction volume (better interface, people play the market as a profession, bots, etc), but looks like its still the primary is sink.
So you aren't entirely wrong: stuff not blowing up and/or getting replace for free does remove a significant source of economic activity that ultimately drives isk sinks. The problem here is a bit more complex that presented though.
Ultimately they need more stuff to blow up, but the problem is they are having a hard time balancing that with addressing the casual market, see all the debate about low sec. The changes being discussed around rat behavior is likely meant to either slow down isk generation or induce more pve deaths (or both). The problem is ultimately they need to add more content to encourage risk taking by adding more profitable activities. They set poor expectations around the baseline safe earning rate with the behavior for these first three months and its going to be painful to roll that back.
I would rather see them increase the earning rate of bounties in low/null so that it becomes better risk adjusted reward that the nearly risk free mission running.
edit: wtb some form of mobile tractor unit for looting, I wrote this entire comment while looting a story mission and I'm not done yet
This actually got changed not long ago
> All Adaptive Invulnerability Shield Hardeners have been renamed to Multispectrum Shield Hardeners.
https://www.eveonline.com/article/qaxqcl/patch-notes-for-version-18-05
Time Dilation, Eve Online implemented it. The short version is when big fights happen in a system the lag is immense. Players are performing actions in their ships, moving around, etc, which create a bottleneck and the server cannot handle the load. This is what causes people to disconnect so frequently in big battles.
Enter time dilation. Everything happening in the system is slowed down to allow all the actions and movements to not bottleneck so the server can process everything. So all players experience a speed reduction in everything.
Here's an old article from CCP on it:
https://www.eveonline.com/article/introducing-time-dilation-tidi
It can cause an issue when the market shifts and you have an order that's a day or two old and you need to adjust the price in response. It can really wipe out any margin you had.
EO has a reasonable response to 0.01 ISKing by limiting prices to only four significant figures. So if you list a ship for 8,000,000 ISK the smallest adjustment you can make is by 1,000 ISK and you pay broker fees on that 1,000 ISK rather than the full 8,000,000 ISK. Used to be we'd adjust prices by 0.01 ISK all day long every five minutes because it was so cheap but this change made that not nearly as viable.
The one I used is https://www.android-x86.org/
I agree with you. Even a year ago, your options sucked. Things have changed drastically recently it seems. Honestly I expected this thing not to work. I wouldn't have been surprised if it didnt boot. When it did, expected wifi to not work and mouse pad to not work. But nope. Everything works perfectly. The only thing is when I launched Echoes, it kept crashing instantly. I went to permisssions and allowed storage, mic, etc and now it works without an issue. I'm getting pretty much the same performance as my iPad air. With bluestacks running on windows 10, I was getting like 10 fps.
You might want to try the 64-bit version. Comparing to the default download from the Bluestacks site, the 64bit one runs a lot better for me anyway:
https://www.bluestacks.com/download.html
Turn off adblocker temporarily (there are no ads on the site, it just blocks the download from starting properly), select Windows 64 bit then select Android 64 bit then click Download.
0 is 0 0 = null I don't know why there is a negative on that 0.0
🤷🏽♂️
i use Scrcpy to stream my phone screen whenever i have a computer nearby, it let me keep the phone charged, turn of the screen to avoid burns. while still having a second monitor for discord/dotlan.
If i'm outside i find playing on the phone same as on computer or even faster (multiple fingers vs one mouse), so no there is no unfair advantage for pc players. i also use discord/chrome as an overlay on top of the game just fine.
"when eve online exists on pc already": dont worry, some players play both. also karmafleet is recruiting !
I had no luck with any emulator on linux. Now I'm using scrcpy. You still need your phone (and therefore kill your battery), but at least you got a pc screen and a mouse.

>While you are correct. I personally believe that these ships have 100s of not 1000s of crew members aboard.
They most definitely don't.
Have a look at this official book about the frigates of EVE.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Frigates-Eve-Online-Paul-Elsy/dp/1506702724
Click on the preview and have a scroll through.
You'll see the capsuleer is the only crew member and is hardwired into the ship.
It's the same for all the ships. It wouldn't make sense from a lore perspective to have 100s of crew. Why would we train skills to fly the ships if we could just hire a better engineer etc.... Why is one corpse ejected when you die? Think about it, the whole point is that it's just you flying the ship.
yes but fortnite pc come first than fortnite mobile, so they made a specific client to help the customer to play with they mobile phones, maybe because they don't have a PC/console to play with, maybe if they have a pc they will not use bluestark (or similar) to play fortnite mobile on the emulator, because there is a native pc client. now you (devil advocate) are making the inverse move, they made a game specific for mobile use and you're playing it with a PC, unfortunelly there is not a pc client for EE, and i don't think it will never be, because of EO. it's like i play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codemasters.F1Mobile&hl=it on bluestark, even if I can play F1 2020 with the same PC... I mean, i know it's for the comfort of the pc, but setup a whole pc rig with external monitors, multi account, etc etc, ony to play a mobile game, it looks weird to me
Maybe read the description for the game

Literally the first line "A new immersive space sandbox MMO, bringing the authentic EVE Online experience to mobile."
I have been playing around with split screening 2 apps whilst playing. I was mining and watching YouTube and I thought about launching 2 versions of Eve echoes at the same time.
I played around with some apps but they failed and then I hit the jackpot. I have 2 accounts, but you can only use 1 Google account per device.
Having 1 account mine in lowsec while the other protects your ship is priceless.
I've been mining in 0.8 space (safe space) and the other account do transport or protections encounters. It really changes the game and in my case, makes it enjoyable.
When trading is launched, this will make it even better. Shared resources and you could split your accounts to concentrate on Mining/Trade and the other on Blueprints/DPS. The possibilities are endless.
My hardware: Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G.
Here's how to do it
1) Put your settings to low (you will thank me later) 2) Download Dr Clone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trendmicro.tmas 3) Add Eve echoes to the list and launch. It will ask you to download 64bit support, do it. 4) Force quit Dr Clone and relaunch. 5) Launch Eve echoes on Dr Clone 6) Press/Slide up to see the running apps.
*** This is the tricky bit as every phone is different ***
7) Click the Eve echoes icon on the running apps screen 8) Click 'Open in split screen view' 9) Now open the original Eve echoes app
You will have 2 instances of Eve echoes running at the same time.
Use the original Eve echoes to login to your account. You can't use Google login with the cloned version of Eve echoes. I used Facebook and it worked just fine.
Change your settings to low on both as it will kill your battery. Depending on your phones power you can experiment.
If you have anything to add, let me know.
