That’s sweet. I want to buy these for you to compliment your pumpkin ghost family:
Since it would be way to weird to ask for your address I’m pming you a amazon gift card to cover the cost. Please buy them with it and enjoy!
He got it on Amazon! It took a bit to arrive because each one is hand painted and such. The outside is a latex mold, so it’s nice and fleshy haha. Here’s a link! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076VYVD4W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_8c1zBbB80B184
I just wanted to gauge the appropriateness of my costume. I was thinking of being Maui from Moana. I’m not trying to offend anyone relating to the culture. I’m Filipino with some family that are Samoan and even then I don’t feel the justification. Wanted outside opinions please!
Another Halloween anthology, hopefully comparable to Trick r' Treat and Tales of Halloween. I haven't watched it yet, gonna wait until i can rip it to Plex, which the way things are going, should be right around Halloween.
What is the light source though? Tell us the secret of your magic, por favor.
BTW: Are you renting? Cuz all those thumbtack holes are gonna get you in trouble. Try this instead.

Get a breast plate for all your future boob plans.
Definitely the Halloweenie episode of the Adventures of Pete and Pete, but the first couple Treehouse of Horror episodes from the Simpsons are really great. Oh and one of the episodes of the Middle where Frankie takes all the special needs kids out trick or treating. Maybe I have too many favorites...
If you're interested, I have a janky cytube channel I open this time of year with around 60 hours/150+ Halloween episodes and specials - https://cytu.be/r/halloweentv . It unfortunately requires google chrome and a tampermonkey script to play properly, though (hence the janky lol).
I've been buying the Brach's Autumn Mix for years. This looks even better! I'll have to check out some local drug stores.
EDIT: Or I could just order from Amazon. Not in stock until 8/27, tho....
I went as Rorschach last year and got some good praise for my costume (if you are going to do, definitely get a moving inkblot mask ) but you will be a lot more confortable dressed as Alex and be able to see, eat and drink with out haveing to move the mask.
There you are my friend. Same ones I buy every year.
Not exactly cheap. But yeah, just a glue stick.
They were these: https://www.amazon.com/elope-Ram-Goat-Horns/dp/B00IOXLFUY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477257954&sr=8-1&keywords=ram+horns
I ordered them on Amazon though and the came damaged, so I found them at a local costume shop for $30 and returned the ones I ordered.
Is Reddit running out of space? You can choose not to click on things you don't want to see and people who enjoy such things can continue to do so. That being said, if you're using RES, you could use the filterline, create an image filter with keyword store.
Oh crap! That was an exclusive form the store 'Hot Topic' a couple years ago. The chances of it still being available is.... whaaaaa! I want to drink my beer!
Ninja Edit: Found it!!! But for a hella lot more then we'all here got it for.
I am fairly new to this Halloween sub myself. I LOVE Halloween and am happy to find others who share the same love for Halloween! So Greetings fellow Halloween fan :)
Last year I read R.L. Stine's welcome to the dead house. Granted it is aimed toward a younger crowd but it was a light Halloween read!
I just ordered the Haunted Mansion book from Amazon that is out in time for Halloween.
Another good one is Discovery Of Witches by Debra Harkness.
Here you go.
$39.95. I love ebay. You could probably find some great boots on there, too.
Thank you - I'm actually a novice when it comes to sewing/embroidery. The kit comes with everything you need *except stuffing (I used poly fiberfill) & has good instructions; the pieces are all stamped on sheets of felt & you just cut them out, embroider & sequin them, then appliqué them together. You should try it! They have a haunted house one too, but here is the link to the wreath on Amazon: Bucilla Halloween Wreath *Edited to add: The kit comes with everything you need EXCEPT stuffing.
I actually bought it from amazon! It's a kit that comes with all of the pieces needed to make it, you just need scissors and fiber fill to make the pieces somewhat fuller. They make kits to make Christmas stockings so that's how I knew this company existed. They also make a really cute haunted house wall hanging! Here is the link for the wreath. https://www.amazon.com/Bucilla-Applique-Hanging-17-Inch-86563/dp/B00N4AZQQ6
Amazon sells a few options but I hope OP can recommend a specific listing since they can be hit or miss.
I haven't tried the ones I linked.
> Baby
I bought this jacket on Amazon. It fits well, I got the small. The only thing is, the back is not covered in blue like the front.
I came up with a Hocus Pocus themed long sleeve t-shirt.
I love those books. It's time to pull out my copy of Magic Shield: A Manual of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Visitors pick it up because it sounds like a Harry Potter book, and then their minds are blown when they realize the author wrote this book in all seriousness. I found it at a yard sale.
You could still get the effect without the blood if you have the pictures, and other props around. Here's a result from Google. I'd suggest making it, then actually make your crime scene. Want to create a head wound, smash a bat into a shallow dish of the stuff. A violent stab: put a stir-stick or other knife-like object into a deeper dish and plunge it in and out trying to get splatter on the walls, ceiling etc.
You would make a fairly good silent bob
Great idea. I'd check on Google Image search. You can sort by "available for reuse with modification" and take what you find into Inkscape to make it into a vector file.
Here's a raven that might work. :)
You may want to have the pipe go through a styrofoam cooler filled with ice first. This will further cool the fog and cause it to hug the ground. Also, consider using gardening hose to move the fog around, it'll be cheaper, more flexible, and less likely to be tripped over. You could possibly even have hoses go directly to the cooler, allowing for even more connections to different props. Point the ends of the hoses towards the graves so that the fog bounces off of them. Also, carve a hole in the back of a pumpkin so that a hose can fit there and make fog come out of it's mouth. Also, get a cardboard coffin and do the same thing. Maybe put a dead guy in there and have fog come pouring out of the coffin. Here, have a diagram:
Hundreds of horror and Halloween DVDs. Yeah, it's gonna take a while, especially since I'm including all the commentary audio tracks, subtitles, and any bonus features available on the disks. Also, I'm OCD about making sure the videos are sorted and tagged correctly, and all the artwork is proper. In some cases I have to make my own posters for the movies. I need help.
The media center program I'm using is called Plex. It allows you to set up playlists, which you can then set on shuffle so you don't know what's coming up next. The program has some great features, including allowing you to access your library from anywhere over the internet.
Judging by a quick Google search, this company seems bad bad bad.
I wouldn't get a wedding dress online anyway, especially not from a cheap shop. There are plenty of nightmare stories out there about people buying dresses from cheap, sketchy places and they either never arrive, come months late, or are a gross material/wrong color/etc..
Unless you're willing to spend a lot from a proper store, or an amazingly talented Etsy seller or otherwise, don't buy online.
Good luck to you!
Amazon has solar string lights or battery operated waterproof disc lights that could work too. I use a lot of solar lights in my yard year round because of 1 external outlet. Just an idea! Happy decorating!

:(
I got them from Amazon, but it looks like they may be out of stock. It's a very short read. This edition is my favorite. The illustrations are wonderfully creepy
https://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Tree-Ray-Bradbury/dp/0375803017
I guarantee that this will become a book you read every Halloween season.
Found another copy on amazon, only $76!
I actually found one on overstock.com but it's sold out. Only a bit over $5 though.
https://www.overstock.com/Books-Movies-Music-Games/Under-Wraps-DVD/2845085/product.html
You may want to consider this. Blu-ray, DVD, Bonus features disk, Soundtrack CD for $22. As soon as I reload my Amazon balance I'm ordering it. I hope the blu-ray has 7.1 sound.
I just went hunting and found them- they are Department 56 and can be found on amazon about $22
This was my first kit and I had to pause after I finished the main house piece. I was inspired by another post on r/Halloween (the Halloween wreath!) and found this hanging on Amazon, I thought it was so cute, I bought it without thinking.
I started in Summer 2016 and really struggled til I learned how to quickly thread the needle and tie-off. I didn't finish the ornaments until May 2018 because I paused and did 2 other (easier!) kits with bigger pieces and less detail. I would recommend this one or this one
Thank you! I use these lights. They’re LED battery powered candles.
Others might see this comment so I’d like to take a second and say, if you’re thinking about getting a few, use amazon’s smile program so some of the sale goes to a good cause. I choose to help the animals.
I definitely understand the pinching pennies! Being furloughed for four months helped me get back into this hobby, but doesn’t help the wallet so much.
I buy my supplies from all over! Typically I get my needles, hoops, and white Aida fabric from Wal-Mart, so they’re all pretty cheap but a lot of times they don’t have what I need in stock. The black Aida fabric in this picture I bought from Amazon because it was out of stock everywhere else. The pack I bought is here and for reference, I can make two of this cross stitch on one piece of that fabric. The floss I buy from Michael’s, which is a crafting store. Each color costs about 50 cents and I wait until I have a decent coupon before buying, but they always have coupons on their website so it’s pretty easy. When I got back into cross stitching a couple months ago I probably spent $40 stocking up on supplies but I’ve spent little since then.
I hope this was somewhat helpful, and that you live in the US or else most of my info isn’t applicable haha.
I ordered them from Amazon! You can also find them at your local craft store, but it was cheaper on Amazon. I used parchment paper to trace out the inside of the coffin, traced that cut out on the back of the foam (mine had cardboard on the back), and then cut it all out!
Goat legs. You need goat legs. I seem to remember an article on Instructables on how to make a cheap pair out of wood or something.
You could go as an Ypsilanti bum. Tell em Rosie found you hanging out outside of The Tap Room one night and you fell in love.
Bonus. Here's where Rosie worked:
I've done a version of these fences that look great (especially in the dark) and might help you define your areas better & keep people on your path. They're quick and fairly cheap.
My Halloween Trakt list. These are the movies that I have on my Plex server. When you click on the movies, will tell you where they are streaming. Some are not available anywhere. At least, not during the off season.
in most cases you use a screen, like a TV or monitor. I suppose you could project it onto a pyramid but not sure how it will look. If you are looking for something a bit more professional I would suggest a tablet display case like this one http://www.gearbest.com/3d-printer-supplies/pp_259947.html?wid=21
Ebay results just got this one on a buy it now for $20. they have 2 available. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-DON-POST-STUDIOS-JEEPERS-CREEPERS-CREEPER-DEMON-LATEX-HALLOWEEN-MASK-/380374153321?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item589010f869. Hopefully this is within your budget. Good luck and have fun!
The white one is extremely hard to see out of. I'd recommend something like this to make it easier to see out of.
These are the gloves I got. I got brown, but black is also available. The patch on the back comes off easily, it's just sewn on, not glued, and there is fur underneath. The string there is to help pull the gloves on, it's not a drawstring to cinch up the wrist (once you have one glove on, it's hard to get the other one on without help, hence the string).
I ran across this tutorial for making Toxic Waste Barrels that light up. You could do yours to look like "failed experiments" containers, with arms or eyeballs or tentacles peeking out of them.
The one on the right is from Collegeville:
I couldn't find the one on the left (it may be an old Collegeville or Ben Cooper mask), but I did find a better pic:

I believe there is a brighter set but these work wonderfully. I wasn't sure on them as I'd seen them mentioned here and on some other forums. But finally said screw it when we made the hut.
I self-publish the occasional collection of Halloween themed short stories. From Aug 3-7th, one of the collections will be a free kindle e-book on Amazon, so there’s no better time to check it out. If you don’t like it, I’ll refund the no money you spent. Tales for an October’s Eve, 2019
I’m a bit biased, but Skelton Porter has a few collections of Halloween themed short stories available as e-books on Amazon. The collections are only 0.99 each. Tales for an October’s Eve
You need to get one of these and swap it out at Halloween and see if your wife notices. And damn these are stupid expensive and probably find it elsewhere for cheaper.

This book may be of use? Cthulhu Live:

Amazon has them if you're willing to pay for shipping but I'm betting you can find a real pumpkin pie by you. Add some whipped cream to the mix and you might have a solid replacement. ;)

Sure I use these
They’re great. But they can get a little tricky when you have as many pumpkins as I do and have to turn them off/on individually!
Thanks! $40 on Amazon!

No, but now I need a copy to read to my boys! This old artwork on the cover is much better than the new one they've got on Amazon.
Want a spooky read for Halloween? My illustrated short story collection is on Amazon and Audible. Think Alvin Schwartz’s “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” reader level (middle grade). It’s free through Kindle Unlimited ($4.99 / $5.49 to buy) and the audio book is set up with Whispersync. Links below. Ebook, print, and Audiobook formats.

Twenty-three tales of middle grade horror that will chill to the bone, make skin crawl, and spoil appetites.
I picked it up on Amazon last September. It seems to only be available through 3rd party sellers now. Buffalo Games - Charles Wysocki - Trick or Treat Hotel - 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I95M5TQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_85yUAbCSRAV7B
By twist-off do you mean the capsules that slide apart and then filled? I bought these off Amazon and have used them for costumes and performances, and they worked great. Not sure if any reputable brands make the pre-filled kind unfortunately.
I don’t know what your budget is, but they have these cool fall garlands you can get at most home decor and craft stores that look like autumn leaves. They come in a couple different colours. They also vary in price and quality.
Also just traditional old pumpkins. You can’t go wrong with them. Even if don’t have the desire or time to carve them, they can look just as nice lining your front door on their own.
Another inexpensive and family friendly decor idea is seasonal window stickers! When I was a little kid my mom had a set of these things for every season. They have more generic autumn themed ones that you can use for thanksgiving as well.
The amazon links I gave you are Canadian though, so just a heads up if you’re browsing through stuff on there. You should be able to find the same kinds of things in your local stores too though.
Edit: grammar and formatting
Hey guys! If you have kids and an Amazon Alexa device, I designed a kids game called Spooky Says! It's a fun and spooky version of the popular Simon Says game! Here's the link to enable in the Amazon Skills store if interested (it's completely free btw): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J3B9NS9/ref=sr_1_14?s=digital-skills&ie=UTF8&qid=1538860597&sr=1-14&refinements=p_n_date%3A14284925011 Happy Halloween everyone!
That’s so cute I never knew what the show was called but saw characters all the time. I love that they included them! I got them off amazon 😊
My housemates are so scared of this bug they decided not to go out haunting humans this year, Bones came up with a novel idea, stay at home and play board games. In fact, he just ordered the Hocus Pocus game.
It may be against the rules to post links to online stores, but what the heck, here it is.
There are lots of different filters you can get online, but I chose this pack is because it's relatively cheap, fast delivery, and the colors are true. You can get rolls of the actual filters used on 3D glasses on Ali Express, but the minimum purchase quantity was way too expensive.
Also be aware the the sheets have a thin film on both sides than needs to be peeled off. They're hard to see, but once removed the sheets go from looking 'filmy' to very clean looking.
Here's a vulture made by CrazyBonez which are really good quality. You see them in a lot of stores, though which stores carry what changes. If you have Kroger near you, they tend to have a surprisingly large collection of skeletons, for good prices.
As to other things, maybe a creepy old-looking lantern? You could probably find a way to fix it onto your shovel handle so that you'd have a free hand.
Horrified is a really really good game.
It does take a whilst o understand the setup but once you’ve got it it’s pretty easy to play.
Play a board game! Here are a couple good ones. Each can be played with two players:
Betrayal at the House on the Hill (one of my favorites) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003HC9734/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_5X7gFbZJ9J1DY

It’s a loose powder so it’s gonna get messy. Apply it in the bathtub. Click on the amazon reviews to see what it looks like.
I buy my molding and casting materials from a place called Reynold's Advanced Materials, but nearly everything I get is also available through Monster Makers. I actually found Reynold's because they're listed as an authorized retailer for Monster Makers. Just for dipping your toes in, I would recommend maybe just getting a 5lb block of Monster Clay, and a basically sculpture tool set from Amazon like this one and mess around with those learning anatomy and getting used to the tools for a month or two and if you dig it they actually sell full mask making kits on Monster Makers too!
Hi, it was midnight when I made this, he's not hungry lol. I actually found a deal on Amazon for this projector, it was $79. Slightly more now, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082CY5ZJS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_HQUxFb4WD6094
I did not, I purchased on Amazon, I’ll attach the link below in case you would like to purchase one for yourself 🧡🖤

I would say to get one of these to put inside: https://www.amazon.com/Pose-skeleton-man-1-Re-Ment/dp/B00KWZ73SU/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1536021656&sr=8-15&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=posable+skeleton
They're cheap as well. I certainly don't regret getting one, but keep in mind that the elbows become a bit loose after a while.
Thanks! It's the Dantiya Women's Felt Witch Hat from Amazon. It fits a little small, but I still love it. Thinking about getting another in burgundy.
I have no clue if it works on iphones, but I use MMA Midnight Scene. You can pick from 6 scenes (witch's house, dark castle, etc), and you can change the sky/moon, create particles, speed up or slow down the fog, change the height of the skyline, and change the color of the sky. I love it! I originally got it for my Evo (years ago). It has worked just fine on every phone since (the 2nd Evo, the S3, and now on my S5). I think I did a free trial and then paid a few bucks for the full app.
I looked it up and it looks like it is Android only. I am glad that you found something for your iphone though! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mma.wallpaper.midnight
My mom came up with a great idea that we are using. Buy one of those cheap laundry sorting hampers that has 3 hanging basket compartments and use that. Arms go in one bag, legs in one, and head/torso in the final one. Plus you don't have to take them fully apart.
Here is an example of the basket (we bought cheaper ones tho) https://www.amazon.com/Simple-Houseware-Heavy-Duty-Laundry-Sorter/dp/B07H51TJLX/ref=sr\_1\_2\_sspa?keywords=3+basket+laundry+hamper&qid=1667926431&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1
I didn't, lol!
If you see the black bar at the very beginning, it's a boom stand that was holding the projector. One like this...

This was actually kind of a pain to find but here's some programmable! "LED neon tubing" check with the specific manufacturer if you can just cut it to size like with regular LED strips, this specific model can be cut down or extended as it has multiple grounds.
Stumbled across this video about a year back.
The music is from a little known band called Beasts and Superbeasts The entire album is incredible.
Thank you)

I got this moldable plastic last year to make teeth for my kid's costume. It comes as these little bitty beads you put in hot water...after sitting in hot water you can mold them.
These are the ones I got but they look like they went up in price. You can probably find a better deal but this will give you an idea of what you're looking for.
I suggested this earlier, but...
In the style similar to this Big Bad Granny Wolf & Little Red Riding Hood costume idea.
Hit up the thrift store and look for a old, funny looking granny nightgown with some sweet design or something. After that, hit-up walmart for some cheap werewolf make-up and a showercap. Huge bonus points if you can find something similar to these and he wears them. If he feels uncomfortable then just wear some plaid button-up.
For little red riding hood, same thing. Maybe you can get lucky at the thrift store or maybe you alright own a red dress or something similar?
Thank you! Yes we got them from Amazon. You have to watch the tutorial video and you HAVE o make sure you basically keep your mouth open and try not to talk for like 15 minutes. One of mine was stubborn and I had to do to twice. You can buy extra capsules of the sticky mold stuff. Hello friends Halloween enthusiasts!! We at Helping with apps. An organization that seeks to make useful apps that benefit both the users and a social, charitable cause are bringing you the Halloween countdown app/ movie picker. It features spoooooooky animations, shake phone to get days, hours, weeks....to Halloween, spooooky sounds, scratch your screen to reveal mystery pics for the last 10 days preceding Halloween and last but not least a random Halloween movie picker . Also 30% of the $1 you spend on the app goes to Toys for Tots. An organization that provides toys to kids that otherwise wouldn't get any for Christmas.
How about using some of that pool noodle material or some of this like foam tubing for pipes? It just has to be small/short enough for the pumpkin to slide into, but you'll probably have to do it after you slide the pumpkin onto her head.
Viking!
The best thing about being a viking is there are a lot of different styles for it. Shirts, Cuffs, Belt, Helmet. Mix and Match.
Go as something fun instead of scary. I'd do something for my mom, think 1980s.
80s Prom? 80s Flashdance? 80s Aerobics? 80s Cassette Tape? 80s Rock? Can be Madonna, Guns n Roses, Glamrock with the Makeup, etc.
