That’s it...search over.
Well, besides it being pulled from new stock in front of us at our local store, there's always this.
Among other methods, if you know much about Apple devices at all.
I got a pair of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0151KNFLY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so my twins could watch movies on an iPad during a flight. They worked great but they’re wireless if that matters.
Also: these are currently a Lightning Deal at Amazon so they’re running $10 off each.
I upgraded on launch day from an iPhone 7+ to an iPhone X.
No regrets!
I was skeptical about the OLED screen and smaller size, but those have turned out to be nothing to get bothered over. The screen I've been pleasantly surprised with and I love it. The smaller overall size of the iPhone X actually reminded me of how embarrassed I was back when I got my first + sized iPhone, because the thing seemed huge and unwieldy. I got used to it, but the smaller form factor of the X feels better in my hand.
It looks like you have might have the regular non-+ model, so in your case, the X might seem slightly bigger, while not being too big. It will definitely have more screen real estate than you are used to.
No, the notch isn't an annoyance. It gives a little more screen area than you had before on the 7. The carrier flag and top bar info are pushed up into the sides of the notch, giving your app more space, so you will eventually appreciate this.
Get a wireless charger, or two or three. Because you'll definitely love wireless charging. I'm very happy with being able to just plunk the phone on my desk, on the charging mat, and it just soaks up power for the battery.
I've heard complaints about FaceID, but really haven't experienced those problems. In fact, FaceId has been been faster and more accurate for me than TouchID was. I'm one of those people that gets dry skin in cold weather, and so TouchID was pretty much useless for me around this time of year. FaceID isn't affected by this and works fine all the time.
The ONLY gripe I have is that the iPhone X doesn't support the 7 Plus landscape display for Mail and similar apps. But it's something I was able to to do without. Again, this may not apply to you.
I was in the same boat as you when I bought my iPhone X. On all my previous iPhones and iPads, I shelled out the money for a zaggs. I will never do it again. I have a friend at work that just got the iPhone 8 Plus and he ordered a 2 pack for 8 bucks on amazon. I noticed no difference between Zagg and Amazon. So I bought them for my x (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0762PSS24/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)My thought is that you don't get a lifetime gurantee on the Amazon ones, but it still cheaper 2 buy 2 more than to ship them back and forth.
There really isnt much options in that style case mainly if so it would just be plastic with metal borders look. I have seen them on amazon. Ill leave you a link here,

Oh and I always get screen protectors and cases from amazon! I got a Speigen case for about 10 bucks. It’s clear, I like my phone to show, and has enough bumper that hopefully when I drop it I won’t have damage. Also got an edge to edge screen protector. If I’m being honest, there’s no real advantage to buying a super expensive screen protector over those cheap $5 tempered glass ones. Those are the ones I’ve always used and they’re surprisingly reliable. Unfortunately they’re hit or miss. Sometimes I get really good ones and sometimes they’re so horrible I don’t even bother trying it for more than the 3 seconds it took to put them on. With my 6s plus I had a cheap one that lasted over a year until it cracked when I dropped my phone (screen was fine though). When I bought my X, I decided to shell out the extra cash for a supposedly really nice glass screen protector. It broke within 3 days, and I didn’t even drop my phone! It’s the $40 one the apple store sells, though it’s not apple branded. I read reviews and a lot of people had the same issue. After that I bought an $8 3-pack from amazon and have had that one on ever since (going on 4 months now) and no cracks, scratches, or anything. The cheap amazon ones are fine, and I doubt you’ll really have any advantage with more expensive ones. I’m currently using these which I liked because it comes with a little guide frame to line it up properly.
you do, dont worry. all iphones do and you have to have one in for it to connect to verizon. its on the right side of your phone, and youll need a safety pin to open it, it should look like this
"We tested it on a couple of iPhone X’s, and it seems my earlier theory was actually correct. While there’s little or no difference when you cover up Face ID’s sensors after Animoji have already begun, if you cover the TrueDepth sensors before you initiate the process, the resulting animoji are more laggy and stuttery than usual. That suggests Apple is using Face ID’s sensors to create an initial depth map – possibly refreshed periodically – which is then mapped onto the RGB camera."
I tried this on my iPhone X. Even after it started I kept the Depth sensor and the IR camera covered and every 2-3 seconds the animoji stuttered and then after a brief pause caught up to my face movements. It looks like it is handing off between the camera and the sensor. Not sure why they did it this way.
If you go here it will tell you how to look up your tracking info before it’s updated on the Apple site. I did mine, and it worked!
It shows it left China 5-6 hours ago. It’s on track to be here by Friday!
I will say, my wife’s order (from ATT) did not show up using this method, on FedEx or UPS. So you might just have to wait if you ordered from your carrier.
Here are your options as I see it:
Well I'm not exactly sure what sort of leather case you're looking for, but I found this on Amazon. There are a number of other options just search leather kickstand case or something similar.
I saw a couple on Amazon that loom similar. Yeah love my apple case but mine only lasted about a year before the edges at the bottom started tearing. I’m still using it because my day 1 phone is still perfect, but I’m thinking about going ceaseless 😬

I have the Patchworks slim case and it really feels solid, and I also grabbed the Ansiwee for $4.99 shipped (see the blue link under the price to get it at a discount)

I got this and it's solid glass with the black edges. Looks and feels great, but dust tends to build up in the top camera section every once in a while, requiring me to lift up and remove the dust with a piece of tape. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075T5BLGR/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got these for free from an Amazon reseller for a product review. Seems like the glass one I got, but a lot thinner, like a flexible glass. I've yet to install it until the glass one chips, but it could be a good alternative, especially when it's a 2-pack for half the price. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0783Q2YZG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use the IQ Shield glass screen protector from Amazon. It’s $8 and you get three glass protectors in the package. The fitment is nice and I’ve had no issues with it at all so far. This is saying a lot considering I’m very picky with screen protectors.

It charges my iPhone X same speed as my 29W home power brick from Apple
it probably does, but it looks awfully similar to this one I got from amazon, and it comes with 2 protectors + installation kits
Got this case from Amazon three weeks ago and really like it. Not fully leather but slim profile with protection all around the phone. Looks good IMO too.
Not sure exactly what you mean
This is what I went with and got a $7.99 screen protector on amazon deal. It came with two screen protectors
If it’s a wired fast charge you will get another beep after you plug your phone in
In terms of wireless you will not have an audio notification
I use the following wireless option - the Yootech wireless charger from Amazon with a Samsung fast charger - I have 3 of the same set ups - bedroom, downstairs in the family room and at work.

I’m very picky with my cases. I love ultra thin cases that preserve the feel and look of the X, and even though they don’t have stellar drop protection, they still work the best for me.
Take a look at this one from Amazon. It’s ultra thin, has a clear background to show off the glass, and has grippy sides with easy to press buttons.

They have good support and servers all over the world. Pings are low and speeds are good. Haven't had any issues with them. They also support using OpenVPN if you prefer to use that app instead of their own.
I got that same accessory kit from amazon too! Love it! Especially being that it is less than $10 for QOL accessories to go with your air pods. Here is the link if interested: 7 in 1 airpods accessories
I did a bunch of research and personally landed on the Ailun Glass Screen Protector. On vacation a few weeks ago I dropped my phone good and hard on cement and immediately saw the breakage. I waited a couple days until I was home and peeled off the protector. I was pleasantly surprised to find the actual screen was still perfect. That said, before I upgraded phones earlier this year, I had gone several years without any protector without issue so 🤷🏼♀️
My iPhone X feels like it survived a lifetime, its been dropped in the toilet, down a flight of stairs, stamped on and has come off fine. Might be something to do with the case ive got though lol
Video playback is actually not very intensive. A looped video played on the X has an endurance rating of 12 hours. https://www.gsmarena.com/apple_iphone_x-8858.php Scroll down to Battery Life and click on Endurance Rating.
It's very hard to compare battery usage of a 2 year old device. Everyone uses their phone differently. Many factors can effect battery health as well. These include number of charging cycles, charging patterns, type of apps used, storage temperature, age, and manufacturing inconsistencies.
It's great that you can get 8+ hours on yours but you should realize that other people may use their phones much more intensely, straining their battery and lowering the battery health. Also, many may not be realizing that lots of apps have background app refresh on by default. These are the some of the reason's why other people complain about battery life.
If you want the new live wallpapers for any iPhone you want to go here
Then go download intolive app from App Store
Open app choose which ever video you downloaded and boom you a new live photo wallpaper only works for lockscreen just like all Live Photo’s
Alpatronix. Wireless charging compatible, pass through tech so you can plug into the port to connect to iTunes. I’ve had mine over a year-works great.

I heard you could use windshield epoxy to fill in the cracks. I was about to use this for my phone when I cracked the back glass, but then realized the cracked glass didn’t bother me. Used the phone for 18 more months without issue.

Someone posted this in a thread yesterday. Use that to see more accurate shipping info. I’m “preparing for shipment” on apples site, but show a delivery date of Friday on ups’ tracking.
Admittedly, we share the same sentiments. The new update still needs a further fix. The developers should see this. If you could also create an illustration it would be great. Just in case you want to this template, you may access this mindmap here.
> The battery is now at 79% and states I should go get it serviced/replaced.
Mine is at 80% and I thought about it, but ended up buying a fast charging brick and it's been more than adequate to top up throughout the day.
> My phone's memory is almost used up (250gb used due to a lot of photos/videos).
Have you tried using iCloud photos and offloading some of those to the cloud? That is, if you're comfortable with the whole CSAM thing
I bought a few Seneo wireless chargers from Amazon that have worked flawlessly for years. They are the stand type where you can have your phone vertical or horizontal while charging. Unfortunately, Seneo got removed from Amazon for leaving fake reviews (along with a ton of other Chinese sellers). Shame, because they didn’t even need to do that.
Looking at the Anker wireless stand on Amazon, it is EXACTLY the same as the Seneo (like 100% the same design and LED light) and more than likely made by the same Chinese manufacturer. Just buy a 12W USB plug with it and you are good to go. The phone will charge at 5W. From tests that a few tech sites have done there is an insignificant difference between 5W and 7.5W wireless charging on Apple devices.

I've seen a couple of these actually, like this one from Amazon and this one from Aliexpress. As for the superglue on the lens cover, that might leave some unwanted residue and might be difficult to remove later on.
One thing worth noting is that your X will probably sell on eBay for $150-250; if you buy a XR, it will cost $300-400, which is quite minimal after selling the X. You could also get a XR for $280 from Apple with a trade in. You could even get another X for the same price as some XRs, such as this one. ($80-180 after selling yours)
Basically, your phone is worth money. You can sell it and get a new one for fairly cheap.
I use this Anker model with my iPhone X and it works great for me, no battery drain when using navigation and listening to media. I'm with others who think that there must be something wrong with your car charging socket.
I just saw the 2nd slide. You don’t have to delete the whole calendar app, just those notifications. I got them once because I probably clicked on some ad. Download a vpn but delete this from your calendar. I recommend downloading Betternet VPN. It’s fast and free
It’s not malware/ a scam just so you know. If it asks you to install a vpn then it’s not a scam because if it doesn’t specify which one then it isn’t trynna sell you anything. I remember my home wifi wouldn’t allow me to watch free movie websites so I’d install Betternet VPN or 360 VPN (free vpns on App Store) and it would then allow me to access any website I wanted. All vpn does is bypass internet restrictions and ads extra security in hiding your IP address from strangers.
Call customer service and explain your situation, mention the replacement program and see if they can still help you out. You'll need to send it in for repair so you'll be without it for a little while. They may be able to send you a refurb out first if you're ok with them placing a temporary hold on your credit card until the broken phone is sent back.
As an alternative if you're in the market for another phone and you prefer to stick with iOS. You can get a renewed iPhone Xr 64GB for $344 off Amazon, or you can grab a phone off Swappa if you're looking for something cheaper.
Best of luck to you!
I think someone said this, but I got a spigen one on amazon and I love it. Covers the notch seamlessly with no interference with Face ID or the camera, no rainbow effect, no sharp edges (my old one felt super thick to the point it felt like the screen protecter was cutting into my fingers when I held my phone), and I had a couple bubbles at the edges when I first put it on but they vanished after a day or so. Plus I think it was $10 for 2 on amazon.

I got this guy, was the cleanest looking one that didn’t have an obnoxious “FAST CHARGE” on it. I’m also a big fan of the Anker products I’ve gotten on amazon so I don’t mind the logo.

It's worked great for me so far, as long as the vent you're mounting it on has horizontal slats it will be secure, and the parts that contact your device are all adjustable and padded with a button on the back to expand and release the phone. I found it on Amazon here. It's a 4 in 1 kit so you also have the option of mounting it to the dash or windshield or the cupholder but I just use the vent. Just make sure you're getting the IHW10 model because the cheaper VentMount kit isn't as secure, only holds the phone on the sides instead of the sides and support on the bottom with the 4 in 1 kit.
here is a direct link to the amazon listing.
I got one one amazon for 12$ I believe. It's tempered glass and comes with 3. It doesn't have the notch cut out either which is nice. The best part though is that it is incredibly finger print resistant! My iPhone always looks super clean! https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B078WNBK1Z/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_8YrMBb7KN53M2
Unicorn Beetle makes great affordable well built cases. You can get them on Amazon for $20ish. This is the case I have currently on my XS max
I got these screen protectors on amazon for $5 (back when I bought them) for a three pack and they've been great! The first one, the edges got chipped in a couple places when I dropped the phone on pavement, and eventually the whole protector cracked (still no damage to the actual screen underneath). And now I'm still on the second protector, which now has a couple minor scratches, but no chips or cracks. And I still have the third for when I need to replace it.
These cover the full screen of the XS (including the notch). And they come with a nifty little tool that helps align the protector when applying it to the phone.
Edit: The brand does exist outside of Amazon. Tethys. Although I think they sell their products entirely on Amazon.
I’ve been using the AUKEY USB-C Wall charger (56.5W) from Amazon, link (www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CPLRTSJ) and the Belkin Boost USB-C Cable from the Apple store. I’ve been using both together since day 1 of my iPhone XS Max (8 months) and so far my battery health is still 100%.
It’s good to have on a night stand to let it charge overnight simply for ease of use/access. Don’t spend much on one though, there is truly no need to spend more than $20 tops on one. The ones that are $50+ have no significant improvement over one that is $10-20, just go with a trusted brand like Anker. This is one that I have, zero complaints and zero issues with it. Plus, a great deal.

There’s a lot similares on amazon for much better price, I have been using pockets for q long time, they create hump but is great for using your best case with the added commodity of a wallet.
Now I’m using this and it’s absolutely great, no hump and super good looks
I got one of these:

It's only $12, grippy, good looking and has excellent protection for a slim case.
I've been using an Anker silicone case for more than a year and it's still holding up fine. Seems like they've gone down in price, only $10 on Amazon now:
Anker Silicone Case, KARAPAX Silicone Gel Rubber Shockproof Case Cover with Soft Microfiber Cloth Cushion [Support Wireless Charging] [Slim Fit] for iPhone X - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076D43NBZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xRJwCbN7KQK67
I use BTGuard on everything – phone, iPad, desktop, laptop. Very happy with it.
Just to clarify – BTGuard is the service provider, and I use Tunnelblick as the client on desktop/laptop, and OpenVPN as my iOS client.
I currently use this one
I have cut the upper front part, it was limiting the front camera viewangle and faceID. But it's a nice and sturdy slim case for a very good price.

Can't justify the $49 price tag (let alone its original $69 price tag) when there are much cheaper alternatives, like this one for $17.
Also does horizontal and vertical charging, and fast 7.5W charging for compatible iPhones, but unlike the Belkin, this can fold down flat and charge with cases up to 4mm thick.

Samsung uses their own Adaptive Fast Charging technology (but can also use Qualcomm's Quick Charge (QC) 2.0) while Apple uses USB Power Delivery (USB-PD).
it is definitely safe to use, but you won't see 'fast charging' per se
note that USB-PD only works via USB-C, so if you're being sold an iPhone "fast charger" that has regular USB-A, it is not a fast charger.
you can consider getting something like this
EDIT: seems like Qualcomm is providing compatibility with PD chargers in QC 4.0+ and above, but QC 4.0 support is very thin at the moment
So an ipad charger would be faster than say this anker charger which says is 30W?
I guess it was $15. Or maybe it was on sale. I forgot it came with a back screen protector. I didn't use it. I don't see or feel any gaps between the bumper and phone on the back where the protector would fit.
If you want fast charging, you’ll need the Apple USB-C to Lightning cable, and a USB-C outlet. The one I use is this Anker one. .
For under $10 you can listen in the shower. From what I undersstand, exposing your phone to that level of humidity can flip the moisture sensor. So this is a pretty cheap way to solve the issue.
I just got this one, I'm really digging the wallet and kickstand plus wireless charging works through the case.
There are good and cheap protectors elsewhere too... try Amazon (or ebay). You can buy 4 good protectors for $10. (And they will for perfectly) just make sure you check reviews. If its rubbish, trust me you will see negative reviews. For example I am using this... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07B9XBZ45/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_iXUyBbDC7D4D4
I'm a very good case
I think you'll like it
Fashion Cool Aurora Cell Phone Case Very thin Very suitable for https://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Fashion-Tempered-Shockproof-Protective/dp/B07FM1H5QX/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1532569836&sr=8-1&keywords=iphone+x+case
No, but I have the amazon link.
My 9 to 5 is in a phone store, and I’ve tried a LOT of cases over the years. My last four phones have all run the thin fit with zero breaks.
Edit to add: the reviews on the case are terrible, but I have never had any trouble. The only one I like is the matte black because of the anti slip texture. It also has a place for the metal plate for mounting. Huge win for me because I drive approx. an hour a day and use my magnetic car mount religiously.
I bought the RANVOO Bumper Case from Amazon on a whim (a relatively random/unknown Chinese case I'm assuming) and I turned out to love it.
I can't recommend it if you're looking for something that can survive a drop direct on the glass, but as far as day to day wear and tear goes it prevents you from sitting on the glass on both the front and back, and elevates it just above the camera lens.
if you want to listen to music at shower , you should own a waterproof wireless bluetooth speaker https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Portable-Wireless-Resistant-12-Hours/dp/B07DY5TWGF
I used the Choetech stand for work and this one for the night stand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079YTN8W3?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Looks nice and I have yet to have any issues with it (been 2 months) but that damn LED was immediately covered with electric tape
I hated the feeling of carrying and using my X the first couple days I had it. Felt like it was always going to slip out of my hand. I never use bulky cases, I prefer the thinner ones (last one was just a silicon slip on). For the X, I went with a Spigen. Not bulky, but doesn't feel like it's going to pop out of my hand like a wet bar of soap either, haha.
Yep, even worse, fingerprints on the lens given how the lens array is closer to the power button.
It took a long time to find a case that wasn’t flush with the lens, but also not crappy elsewhere. I couldn’t get all of the dust off using a micro-fiber cloth that I keep in my pockets for cleaning my glasses throughout the day. As the dust would get trapped in the corners of the case, still on the lenses.
In the end I settled with a leather case from Apple, never going third party again.
Here’s the cloths I bought from Amazon: link
There are some very nice cases that still show off the X on Amazon. Picked one up for the gf and I for about 10 bucks each. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074V3CM1C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Highly recommend and very minimal back and front coverage to still show off the phone.
I've been using a MUJJO Leather case for my phone since I've gotten it. Its been great so far. I got it off of Amazon.
If you’re not willing to drop that much cash on a case, I just got this one, and I find it delightful.
The fabric and leather feel pretty good together, and it looks snazzy. I don’t put my payment cards in it but I do have my building key card for work in it, formerly in my wallet.
I usually prefer my phone naked, but with kids having the extra grip is handy
It's about $50, but if you hate it, I'd buy through amazon since their return policy is easy to use!
You can see how it covers corners mostly, so at least when I talk on the phone, the case isn't in the way at all.
These have been fantastic. Broke one, my fault, and the other had lasted months without a chip, crack or scratch.

Shit. Can you other different cords with your computer, maybe see if it connects to itunes easily?
Otherwise, prolly hardware failure, in which case Apple will tell you to backup your stuff, reset the phone, update OS and all that fun stuff, and maybe just give you a new phone.
In any case, there is a good deal on a wireless charger today. Not that it’ll fix your problem, but just something in the meantime.
Good luck!

Is this Polycarbonate? That would be slippery. I prefer soft TPU case - much better grip.
I'm using this one sometimes - ESR Slim Clear Soft TPU Cover. I mean sometimes because I prefer a minimal case without a screen "lip" and the ESR has a pronounced lip. I only put this on when I'm traveling and want more protection.
I’m using an Anker KARAPAX screen protector and a dbrand grip, with the black camo skin. I used to use a PopSocket and a Spigen Ultra Hybrid . I liked that a lot, but there isn’t much screen protection(lip) when you use a glass screen protector. I’m using the same protector with my grip.
this is where I saw the idea: - https://youtu.be/Itd_ETtRKjM?t=307
the tape I told you: - 3M Scotch 4011 Exterior Mounting Tape, 1 in x 60 in https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z4BV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ngr2AbW1R8XNH
If you can find either of the products, it should work :)
I got a wireless charging stand for my desk, which has been great because you can look at the phone to unlock it and see notifications without having to take it off the charger.
Anker PowerPort Wireless 5 Stand: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0753Z4PGC
I can't find the exact model I bought but it looks a LOT like this one:
I have two and they work amazing.
CarPlay and etc etc are useful too, but I'll suggest you must have iPhone X armband because this'll help you during gym and walking outside... You can have it [here](https://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Armband-10-BFSPORT-Resistant/dp/B078JGCVC7/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1524643033&sr=8-8&keywords=BFSPORT)
I purchase this one and it's worked great so far. Can't beat the price and it's one of the few that has over 1k reviews and still has 5 stars. Literally no complaints.

This case works great partnered with a tempered glass screen protector.
Nice! What you gave me is iphone 8 case but there is one for iphone x
Under Armour UA Protect Arsenal Case for iPhone X - Black / Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076G3LJJD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HNIZAbTY8EZ3R
I felt this way ever since I got my X, finally got a super slim case from amazon that has a tempered glass back that feels as close to the original X while still being protected. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078YQKF9P/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LfM1AbY7394TJ
This is the first iPhone I have ever used a case with and its purely because of the price or repair. I really like this case, very minimal and offers some protection. It also leaves the side buttons exposed which i really like.

Try this one... Just got mine in the mail today.
I personally love it
Really, really happy with the iCarez ones I've got. They're edge to edge, with only a cutout for the speaker. With a case, you can barely tell there's anything there. The edges of the screen protector are also rounded so they don't feel sharp to the touch.
This brand sells a few different packages for the iPhoneX, but this particular one includes two screen protectors, and a plastic tray for perfect application. Every screen protector should come with an application tray like this, I got a flawless install on my first try.
Only $10.

I have a full screen glass privacy screen protector with a Switcheasy Glass X case. It looks and feel exactly like a naked iPhone X which is exactly what I wanted
Grab one! It’s worth the price tag to at least experience one and you won’t have to wonder any longer. Amazon has it for $40
