So does Amazon and a number of other online retailers. That link isn't an endorsement, it was just the one I clicked on first; I have several of these OWS buoys in my closet and couldn't tell you what brand any of 'em are.
Never heard of anyone swimming with a "flag", though.
> You can walk on the lakes here without much concern from January to March.
Just want to throw some safety advice on top of this for any newcomers - the lakes freeze from the outside in, so the ice on the edge of the lake is going to be thicker & stronger than the ice in the middle. Also, it being a lake, the water is deeper in the middle, of course.
Even if the ice is thick, and you are walking along the edges - you want to be careful for areas where there may be current or warm water - for example, where creeks, lakes or rivers meet the lake, there will be a strong current, leading to thinner ice or even no ice. On the Madison lakes, there's at least one spot where the power plant dumps warm water into the lake - they usually have it taped off with warning signs. But there may be other spots of warm water to watch out for.
You should always be prepared for a dangerous situation. Ideally, you should never go out alone. If you go out with another person, it's good to keep some distance between you, so if one of you breaks the ice, the other doesn't fall in.
It's also a good idea to carry something to latch onto the ice with, incase you do fall in. They make products specifically for this: https://www.amazon.com/Eagle-Claw-Ice-Safety-Picks/dp/B00649UBFA, but you could even just carry a couple of screwdrivers.
Also type "lake ice safety" into Google and read some stuff - in particular, how to get out of the water if you fall in.
Better to be prepared. This site lists 65 fatalities in 2019 in the US due to lake ice: http://lakeice.squarespace.com/2019-fatalities/
Not sure if this is the right area but figured I'd pass it on.
> We just witnessed a man have a bike accident on the capital city trail in Fitchburg today near Syene road intersection. We hope he is ok but it looked like a head injury.
I've not found a shop that offers what you are looking for. After searching I eventually picked up my own loose leaf setup and tried to find a nice quality chai.
Upon ordering many different variants, I believe this may be the closest to what you are looking for -
I ordered that a few times and enjoyed it. However, I kept trying different options and my personal favorite is -
Frontier has a bit more bite to it, though not from pepper. I can't exactly quantify it, but it is a spicier chai. Even spicier than the Vahdam above.
It also helps that the Frontier option is more affordable. Normally I order 1 Lb and it lasts a few months.
Edit - Corrected the Frontier Co-op link
Counterintuitively, a lot of the smaller players contract professional maintenance rather than hire on-staff a few idiots who couldn't tell a spanner from a hammer.
Uh, I might raise a stink on your way out about that. You've got a vent that's already growing mold, so they decided to spray paint over it for 10 minutes with no airflow? Jesus respiratory death.
I've used BusRadar on my phone for years; it's super helpful and tracks where the buses for a certain route are on the map. It's very helpful and very accurate in my 5'ish years experience with it.
Also, Google Maps is useful if you've got some time to plan ahead.
You just have to find one labelled as having parking mode (and typically need to make sure it's connected to an always on power source, unless it has a separate battery that can charge while the car is turned on - but idk that I'd trust it to actually be charged if something happened while the car was parked).
There are a few different ways they'll handle this, some will will just constantly record over itself and others will detect motion/an impact and start recording.
I've got a BlackVue brand, has a front and rear and will start recording whenever either of them detect motion or an impact. It was a bit on the expensive side though, around $500. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C3GNG5K
well worth it, paid for itself in that one incident
a tip for next time- buy a little customizable dog tag (link to a $3 on Amazon at the bottom) and put your name and phone number on it, asking to return if lost... You can add that you'll provide a reward if you want. Then attach it to your keyring. It has actually saved me a few times, to the point that I even get the little tags as presents for friends.

Seriously, even Hobbits like myself can clean off the top of an SUV or truck with this brush,
I use Weather Underground to answer questions like this, they have an excellent hour by hour prediction of what is going to happen, and for the next 24 hours it is surprisingly accurate.
In your case, they show light rain in the evening changing over to freezing rain at 10 pm. Temperatures are still warm, I couldn't find any data on pavement temperatures. The rain will probably be light enough (0.03 inch) to not wash away the salt residue. The freezing rain will consume the salt residue (and any brines/salt they lay down in anticipation) but only 0.03 inch of rain and two hours worth of very light freezing rain before you head home probably won't render the salt ineffective. The temperatures will certainly be warm enough for the salt to do it's job.
My advice: Be prepared to creep home slowly if the actual is adverse to the forecast, and have a sleeping bag or extra warm clothes in the car and fill up your gas tank on your way in to work. And have a piss bottle with you in case you get stuck - gatorade bottles are the best for this.
Big fan of the Wundermap: https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap?lat=43.08&lon=-89.35&cm_ven=localwx_wumap
I love it cuz you can tailor it to your needs. The Ch3000 as far as I know doesn't let you customize, so it's cluttered when I click on it.
https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/madison/53715/daily-weather-forecast/331530?day=3
Refer to the RealFeel. That's accounting for things like humidity, so it should be equivalent anywhere.
> I'm getting a weather radio
One comment here is that you may find that the weather radio has the opposite problem.
The NWS uses something called "SAME codes" to transmit location information to weather radios -- you set your radio to alarm for specific SAME codes, and when the NWS issues a warning it is transmitted with the SAME code or codes that overlap the warning.
The SAME code that covers Madison, however, covers the entire county. This means you lose the geographic precision that I mentioned in my other reply, and any warning anywhere in the county will sound your radio.
That said -- I have a weather radio (this one if anyone is curious, though it's a little spendy; I got a cheap one before this but I couldn't figure out how to make it sound only for tornados and not severe t-storms etc.; Midlands I think is the most well-known and largest brand in this area) and last night was the first time it has sounded in the several years I've owned it, so 1 false positive in more than five years is fine to me.

I bought this one off amazon 3 years ago and slept on it for 2 year. I was extremely pleased with it and just buought a larger version of the same. Much cheaper than most you will find too.

>I'd flash $50 bills and gold bars at 3am in any part of the city.
Seems like most people I talk to do did not know this about Charter. So I hope this helps people watch some free movies! I recommend JustWatch for checking out what's available to stream.
SnowShoe is a startup founded in Madison but now with offices in both Madison and SF. We make magical bits of plastic. We're hiring a full stack developer. The full listing is viewable on our Angel List page.
There are also numerous apps that can help with finding other satellites that pass over. My personal favorite is "Satellite AR", which uses your camera to show you where in the sky you should look.
I'm allergic to Dust and Dander, which is really bad right now and during winter due to turning on the furnace heat. I'm allergic to many other things, as well. I routinely go to Accweather's allergies page and click on the heading for each type (RAGWEED POLLEN, GRASS POLLEN, TREE POLLEN, MOLD, DUST & DANDER) to see what's causing my sneezing
https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/madison/53715/allergies-weather/331530?name=dust-dander
I was the person struck. I was riding next to my boyfriend on the right. I called out Rider Up and moved even closer in as I saw him approaching. He continued to hug the line and as he passed me he hit me directly in the face with his left hand. Moments earlier as he passed others in the group, he called out “someone’s gonna get popped”
I have reposted this to the police and have a case number if anyone has Information on the assailant. You can see his pics on the attached Nextdoor link.
I’m not here to argue over trail etiquette. I was on my side. I called rider up. I moved even further over. There is no excuse ever to strike anyone in the face. This was a malicious act of violence against an innocent individual - me. I am shaken and disturbed. Please help ID this person.Nextdoor Post on the incident
Board games - there are several board game stores in town (I'm Board, Pegasus, Misty Mountain ...) that have open board game nights and a collection of board games you can play for free if you don't own any board games yourself. There is also a meetup.com board gaming group for Madison and there are probably other board gaming focused groups I haven't mentioned.
Yes, the tunnel is closed indefinitely. There is a detour (un-posted) using Tunnel Rd. It has a few good climbs coming from either direction, but you will be rewarded with some spectacular views and some nice winding downhills. the detour is about 2 miles long: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/33375829
It is tempting to to ignore the closure and go through the tunnel, but be forewarned, you will like get a $175 fine if you are caught trespassing on any section of the closed trail. (Source - I know a guy who did).
Zendesk will be hiring some tech support folks for level 1 support. All backgrounds welcome to apply, though if you have customer support or software experience that will help. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you a link for the job description.
Yep, sometimes Google scares me with how accurate they can be with this type of stuff. I second using the time feature in google maps directions to see how long it predicts it will take. Waze is a great app for the phone that will also redirect you when you are traveling if an accident or something that comes up in your route will slow you down. Google bought this app a year or so ago and have been incorporating some of this into their own map programs, but I still think the Waze app is better.
>the only city on an isthmus in the world
Just FYI, Madison's not the only city on an isthmus in the world, or even the biggest city on an isthmus in the United States — Seattle's on an isthmus, too.
I'm on Verizon. I 'd switch to Tmobile, but their coverage drops off too sharply as soon as you get out of town. Even the far west has spotty coverage last time I checked the maps.
Check these sites for real coverage data for the places you care about:
https://opensignal.com/networks
Also see this recent thread about Verizon video throttling, which might factor into your decision (though note that other carriers are likely to follow suit)

Rinse up the soap with clear water only. (Next time skip the soap, it gets in the way.). Then find an enzyme cleaner - https://smile.amazon.com/Biokleen-Destroys-Eco-Friendly-Non-Toxic-Plant-Based/dp/B0061VZQWO?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1#
Drench it. It needs to be wet. Put warm wet towels over the area for 24hrs. The smell will get much worse during that time. Remove towels and let it dry thoroughly. You may need a second treatment, but let it dry thoroughly before deciding. Use fans. It really will be ok with the right products.
Sounds like a lot of people here would be interested in Zane Williams' book Double Take.
"A rephotography survey of Madison, Wisconsin"
It's an amazing book of photographs from the early-to-mid 1900s that were "rephotographed" with commentary, both on the history and on the photography process. The dude was so meticulous that he waited until the sun was in nearly the exact same position to create the exact same shadows as the original photos. Sometimes that meant they had a two week window where the sun was just right.
It's a fascinating book. 10/10 highly recommend.
i bought one of these, it has several brightness and color settings:

This comment deserves downvotes, but I'll just say that I'm still steamed about this extreme act of stupidity perpetrated on the downtown small business community this summer in the name of "social justice." I get people are/were upset, but the adults in the room who egged it on (e.g., Freedome Inc., Urban Triage, City Council members, Nada, ) should have known and done better.
I started doing this too! I am also on the SW side. I got my picker from Amazon on Sunday. I regularly walk/bike these paths and decided to bring my picker and a few bags every time I'm out. I didn't want to get gloves just because they will get disgusting, and disposable gloves just generate even more trash.

I believe this is the one I got, and I'm happy with it:
deagodderz said this, but to drive it home:
> Shouldn’t I be able to hear the sirens in my home or business?
> NO! The sirens are the OUTDOOR component of the warning system. The siren system is not designed to alert people who are indoors. The sound from the sirens simply does not penetrate into buildings such that the sirens would be a reliable means of indoor warning.

FWIW, I have this weather radio -- https://www.amazon.com/Sangean-CL-100-Certified-Table-Top-Stations/dp/B003QHXZM4. Midland is the other big name (bigger than that, FWIW; I forget what in reviews attracted me to the Sangean). Note one unfortunate thing is that the SAME codes that trigger weather radios are pretty coarse, so it'll trigger over a much broader area than just Madison. (~~I don't know what the boundaries actually are though. Is it anywhere in Dane?~~ I think it is anywhere in Dane.) That said, if you only have it trigger for tornado warnings, those are quite rare -- I don't think we've had one since I got my radio, and that was maybe five years ago.
BTW, my bf and his coworker made Android and iOS apps with a map of the Buckys and checklist (on their own time, although they are both professional app devs). Both apps are free and a great way to find any Bucky you want or discover new ones. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rjr.apps.buckyfinder
Nope. Ward Brodt Music Mall is your best bet, if you've got a bike or a car or a LOT of patience with buses, it's only about 4 miles from campus: Google Maps
Source: I was in middle school band in this town.
I'd say it's definitely one of the more low key places you could go, though the restaurant is on the smaller side. They host some of the best DJs in madison and have amazing food and drinks.
the DJs there actually do a podcast of their mixes: https://www.mixcloud.com/NattSpilNightly/
Actually, according to this page
http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/usa/madison
the altitude of the moon is going to be 17.0 degrees above the horizon when the total eclipse starts and then the moon is going to sink down to 7.4 degrees at the end of total lunar eclipse. I think that's pretty low on the horizon isn't it?
I was going to try to drag my ass out of bed tomorrow morning and try to get some photos as well. I even found an Android app that shows the direction of the moon at any date/time on a Google map (http://photoephemeris.com/tpe-for-android).
Anyway, good luck :)
GOODS TRADING
I only need 1 wine aerator and Costco is selling them in a 2pk.
Is anyone looking to buy 1 wine aerator. It is made by TRIbella and its MSRP is $40. With the discount from Costco and splitting the 2pk, your aerator would cost $27.50
The link to the aerator > http://www.costco.com/Tribella-2-pack-Wine-Aerator.product.100225274.html?catalogId=10701&keyword=aerator&langId=-1&storeId=10301&refine=
I know this is after the fact, but I was listening in on a Scanner Radio app on my Droid. It's pretty sweet and pics up tons of local radio traffic. Can set it to only stream over wifi to save data usage.
There were also a bunch of fights downtown last night in addition to the drive-by shooting.
I used maptiler to style the roads and get the colors I liked, the map data itself comes from the open-source OpenStreetMaps
There's a place called Madcity Music Exchange on Willy Street that has a pretty great collection of all types of music. Their jazz selection is particularly impressive. Here's a map
https://www.groupon.com/biz/madison/focal-point-training-dudgeon-monroe To be fair I haven't gone to this trainer, but both my boyfriend and my dad have and they're big fans. It's a very small operation, but the trainer is really nice and not a meathead or overly harsh. He's a lot more interested in helping you reach your own goals.
National Weather Service (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is a fantastic source. I believe most if not all weather sources pull data directly from NWS (NOAA) and you don't have to deal with a bunch of ads. They have hazardous weather outlooks posted every day for the local area you look for along with lots of other resources pertaining to all things weather.
Also Wunderground is a good site as well.
It really depends on what you consider "best". You could take BB to Vilas to T and take that the rest of the way in. It's still 55 in some places, but the shoulder is much wider than Cottage Grove Road. You could also weave your way through the country roads to McFarland and take the Lower Yahara River Trail to the Capital City Trail. Or you could take Cottage Grove Road the whole way.
ridewithgps.com has a heatmap feature which I find incredibly useful when trying to plan routes.
and for people like me that rarely ever go to (or at least remember going to) most of the bars that are participating in the takeover, here's a visual aid to help you plan your night
after a visit to Brickhouse for the reddit meetup, i'm definitely planning on getting to the Tipsy Cow & the Rigby...and i suppose all the other bars in the area that are hosting breweries...
Harvest on Capitol square, or really most places near the capitol or east of it. Personally I would NOT go to Porta Bella. I've gone there twice because the atmosphere is very romantic but the food I've gotten there both times tastes like it just came out of a can and was microwaved. Also Samba is a little over your price range but they always have groupons.
The weird thing is that, leading up to this winter, I read a bunch of reports predicting below-average temperatures for the upper midwest--La Niña following last year's El Niño. I've been impressed by how far off this forecast has turned out to be.
Covance is always hiring lab techs. They are a Contract Research Organization doing pharmaceutical testing for most of the large pharma companies. She'd start out in the animal testing world, but after 18 months she could transfer internally. They do people testing too, but most people transfer into that role. It would include weekends, holidays, and having to go back in one or two nights a week.
Zendesk is hiring for a bunch of different positions, and more positions will be posted in Q2. It is an awesome company to work for! The office is on the square.
I've gone Geocaching with my bf and we've always had a memorable time together. Geocaching is like a going on a scavenger hunt that someone else has already prepared for you. Go to the Geocaching website and find an easy a cache that's downtown for the date. As you're walking around searching for the cache, it'll feel like an adventure because you start paying attention to places and things you never noticed before. Once you find the cache, you guys can sign the log together as a couple , kiss, and then feel accomplished. :)
If you care about DNS performance and prefer not to give Google even more information I have had very good luck with the Level3 DNS Servers. 4.2.2.1 4.2.2.2 4.2.2.3-6 all work. Using Charter they provide the best performance according to the GRC Nameserver Benchmark tool. This tool tests response times for a large list of public DNS servers. The responses were twice as fast from the Level3 servers as the Google DNS servers.
Unfortunately, that sounds like a hardware issue. If the power button isn't turning on your laptop - or what's left of your laptop - something is seriously wrong; similarly, the frantic beeping is a Lenovo error code indicating something is broken.
Lenovo is unfortunately not the bastion of quality it once was. I usually recommend Dell Latitudes instead.
I bought the Viofo A119 V3 after a lot of research and the dashcam sub rating it best $100ish price range. I love it. The amount of cool animal footage that I get is amazing.
Always trust your instincts in sketchy situations and never worry about being polite. A man in 2020 should have no cause to approach a woman at or outside of a gym. Anyone that genuinely needs to borrow a phone or ask directions can go to the front desk. If they want to ask someone out, that's what dating apps are for. And if you make it clear you dont want to be bothered it's an extreme red flag if they persist.
Since it's not quite homecoming dress season, it's a bit more difficult to look for what places will have them. Some of the bigger retail stores have started going up into plus sizes when they didn't before. For example JC Pennys does go up to plus sizes in their offerings and you'll get more options if you put in "formal dress" rather than homecoming or prom.
If your family has Prime for Amazon, you can get some really nice dresses for good deals on there. The Prime is nice so you can return them for free if they don't fit right. You've got time between now and then to do a lot of buy/returns until you find something. Heck if you have a style you like, reply with what it is and I'll do some searching on Amazon to find some options. Like I don't think you could beat this price locally
I'm blanking on the name but there's a cemetery in town that has an old funeral coach. Might be cool for her to see. If she's generally into spooky/death things, get her a copy of Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?
> You can't fix the crop of humans that is currently broken.
This is bullshit. Below is a link to a memoir by Ishmael Beah. The dude was a child soldier at 12 years old, was rescued by UNICEF, and rehabilitated. He graduated from college, published several books, and has spoken at the UN. Im very much all for not creating new sociopaths but let us not act like the only way to deal with broken among us is to put a bullet in their heads.

Pro Tip: Go to Farm and Fleet and buy Permethrin. Add 2 oz in a garden sprayer and fill the rest of the way with water. Set to a fairly high dial setting and spray your grass, trees, bushes, mulch, etc. Within 2 hours you will have no mosquitos, and it lasts for a week or two. (You'll also get rid of ticks as a bonus.) This is safe for dogs, but toxic for cats. (Sorry Reddit.) Don't let kids play in the yard until it's dry.
Downtown apartment available now, $1530/mo - easy commute to Epic, UW, hospitals, etc. but not too close to campus
Pets allowed, parking available, non-smoking, no shared ventilation
Baked goods offered
I bought a house and moved to the east side, but I'm still on the hook for rent at my old apartment until someone else rents it. It's a super nice location (great for walking and biking), right near Brittingham Bay. Great kitchen, washer/dryer in unit, no shared ventilation (so you're not breathing other people's germs all day), pets allowed, parking available, lots of light (which will be nice this winter).
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/685386345401725
I am turning to small-scale bribery to encourage you to rent this downtown apartment instead of some other downtown apartment.
I'm offering 6 batches of homemade baked goods (1 batch = 1 loaf of bread or ~1 dozen cookies) to be spread out over the year of your lease (once a week for 6 weeks, once a month for 6 months, whatever).
I can make sourdough or regular yeast bread, and pretty much any kind of cookie that doesn't require special equipment (no pizzelles, for instance). I can work with dietary restrictions to some extent, but this is just my home kitchen so it's not allergen-free. I cannot make gluten free bread. For cookies, I can either make things you request, or make surprise flavors.
I strongly disagree with you. You're thinking about your travel time, but not safety of those who aren't in cars. Pedestrian fatality rates sharply increase when impact speed is about 40 km/h (25 mph). If a road with a speed limit of 25 mph has its speed limit increased to 35 mph (56 km/h), as you suggest, the fatality risk would go from about 0.2 to 0.8, a four-fold increase.
I taught my SO to drive stick in the lot marked with the A/B on this map. As long as it's not a home game Saturday, traffic on campus should be fairly minimal. The bonus of this area is that once they get the hang of it, you're surrounded by minimally traveled roads, which makes for great practice. If the person is even up for a hill that day, if the Observatory Dr is open going east, there's a pretty steep hill to practice on.
Unfortunately/fortunately it's probably on the heels of the viral statements that have come out recently:

You should post the type of music it is. There is a band called Plant Life that formed in the late 90s but it may not be the same band you are describing. Their studio albums are on Google Play All Access if that is in fact them.

No, swamp coolers won't work in Wisconsin on most days in the summer, the relative humidity is too high on average for it to have any cooling affect.
It's not awesome, but a "portable air conditioner" is a solution. They are basically dehumidifiers with a exhaust hose. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2014/06/are-portableair-conditioner-claims-a-lot-of-hot-air/index.htm
If you really can be certain you need a new router, there's a decent deal on a nice refurbed asus unit right now. A little above your price range but much better than most routers at that price.

Saw Wall of Funk open for Fair to Midland last month. Definitely experimental. Pretty fun live too. Only checked them out a bit before the show, but not enough to build any sort of expectation, but they definitely impressed me. They're actually from Cambridge, but they seem to play Madison/Milwaukee.
Also, saw Squarewave at a show last week. Not heavy, but definitely rockin'. Moreso than sample songs on their Myspace would let on to.

Pricing should be around $50. Depends if you want service weekly, biweekly, or something else. We found 3 weeks to be the best duration for us.
my favorite madison spot when i'm deeerunk will always be parthenon gyros, even though I've been to a bunch of better places. They have a special je ne se quois (sp?)

yeah, so work up an appetite cycling, then drink some local brews from the breweries you mentioned, then when it's late and ur drunk and hungry parthenon - and make sure to hit up the union and if it's wednesday also the comedy club on state $1 open mic

Might I suggest using an old android phone and a free camera app to nab the bastards next time? Pretty sure it's a crime to steal or destroy those signs.
I solidly support this executive decision.
To begin the headcount, if weather holds and it looks like we'll be doing a potluck at Vilas, I will bring an awesome fruit salad. If there is a lack of vegetarian dishes I can make a cold veggie pizza. And some kind of drink to share of course. I have no tables or anything cool like that.

For a rough estimate of coverage, better than a carrier's map, but with the caveat that people with OpenSignal installed have to have been in the area for coverage to appear, so lack of coverage on this map doesn't mean no coverage, but red certainly means lackluster (Sensorly is another site you might check):

Quick comparison, with problem spots of near the zoo, Fish Hatchery Rd, and Old Sauk Rd being immediately obvious:
If you have questions about any specific areas, let me know and I'll let you know if I've been there! In the past three years, in Madison, I've had AT&T, USCC, Sprint, and now VZW, just FYI. Networks can change a lot over time, but I still feel I have a pretty good handle on the carriers' comparison.
/u/browncm28 might also have some insight for you.
Just build your data source into something that is "portable", i.e. parts that translate easily to JSON or XML, and use a JS lib on the front end. Something like google charts or d3.js for the fancy stuff. You might even be able to simplify entry with something like Google Forms submitting to a Google Sheet (to avoid having to maintain a DB) and pull directly from there but it will be more limiting. https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/table
of course Tuna couldn't be bothered to answer a few questions... so Tuna
It's probably not too late to volunteer for the tear down shift tomorrow if you want to see the show for free and hang out with the kittehs
I certainly like having mine. Midlands I think is the most popular brand, but this is what I have, by Sangean.
Looking at it now I'm surprised how expensive it is -- it's a lot more spendy than I would have guessed. But I do like it. One requirement I had was that I could set it to sound only for tornado warnings; this for example was a distinguishing feature from just letting my phone alerts take care of it. I think maybe I had trouble establishing for the Midlands models I considered whether you could do that, but that might not be true.
A friend of mine has a special windshield cover that can be locked into place by closing the ends into the doors. He loves it. Takes about 15 seconds to remove it, shake the snow off, and get on his way with a clear windshield.
Plug in electric mowers work well depending on the size of the lawn. No messing with gas and in general they just work. They can be bought from amazon for $150 https://www.amazon.com/GreenWorks-25022-Corded-20-Inch-Mower/dp/B002ZVOLXE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489603128&sr=8-2&keywords=greenworks+mower
You do need to mow in a pattern that starts closest to the place you are plugged in at and moving out from there. So long as you do that managing the cord is no big deal. The plug in ones also tend to be really light and easy to push.
There's a book about those murders but the reviews on Amazon are pretty terrible:
Unsolicited opinion, i’ve gotten some good results from ayurvedic ideas. Particularly tongue scraping using one of those stainless steel things like this: https://www.amazon.com/DrTungs-Tongue-Cleaner-Stainless-Scraper/dp/B08KFL2ZQ6
good luck!!

What engine/drive does your boat have?
Mine is a 5.7 Volvo Penta. I bought my boat in January of 2019 and have winterized it myself since I've had it.
Basically, I just run it up to operating temp on muffs, then use the kit linked below to run RV/Marine antifreeze through it to be sure all the water is flushed out.
Then instead of leaving that in the system, my personal preference is to follow the winterization procedure in the manual. Which consists of disconnecting several hoses, draining them, and draining the engine block via the two drain plugs. I leave those drain plugs open for the winter as well.
Just my $.02, winterizing isn't that big of a production, and can allow you to extend your boating season.

It's funny that you mention this. Ever since the repack, I've been having trouble receiving virtually every station, and I can even see the WISC tower clearly from the back windows of my house. What fixed it for me was adding an amplifier to my antenna.
You probably need a new antenna, and an amplifier to go with it. I bought this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073ZXRD1X/
It's sold out now, but I bought it three years ago. There's hundreds just like it that come packed with an amplifier, and you shouldn't need to spend more than $20 to get something that works.
First of all, nothing is final yet. They voted to start the review and will decide in the summer.
Anyway, Mullvad is good. $5 a month, no personal info not even an email needed, you can pay in Bitcoin, and no logs.
If you use ProtonMail (which I recommend) you get access to their VPN service. $5/m for both secure email and a vpn is a pretty good deal. I also still have a NordVPN account, which I think is $36/y

608-242-2000 also works.
Very reliable, and no surge pricing (which I've seen get pretty crazy at particular times in Madison)
There's a Madison BusRadar app through the Google Play store that will give you a lot of information-- Routes, stops, schedules, etc.
Not a bad place to start, and a very useful tool when busing.
I have TDS and I can assure you that you can grab any off the shelf wireless router and use that. As an example this would probably work fine (I've never used it though): https://www.amazon.com/Linksys-Dual-Band-Max-Stream-MU-MIMO-Wireless/dp/B01JOXW58I
You just need to let TDS know that you want your router replaced with just a modem. After replacement your flow would be fiber -> modem -> router.
Don't use plastic ice scrapers, they're absolute shit compared to the alternative: Brass ice scrapers. At least an order of magnitude easier to get ice off windshields with these things, and they don't damage the glass.
At least outlaw that one combination liberal causes that's fucking everywhere.
I say that as someone who approves of all of the messages on the sign. But the sign itself is just too goddamn busy. Your sign should have one message! Not all of them!
For sure. I have a book titled Double Take that are old pictures of Madison next to “new” pictures taken from the same spot. The book was published in 2002 so a lot of the “new” pictures are buildings that are no longer there. Still, a lot of the things are the same.
Ragweed is incredibly high this week- even worse this weekend and beyond. Grass pollen is moderate, but is predicted to get higher later in the week. Accuweather Allergies
btw, if you have reddit enhancement suite, it adds nice linky stuff.
Otherwise if you're on mobile, Reddit is Fun has the ability to make nice links.
Or if you just want to do it in code, it's super easy - just put the nice text in brackets like this [text to look nice](https:\ url_goes_here_in_parenthesis)
Rising housing costs are a global problem, not just a US problem, and not just a Madison problem. And the solutions aren't unique to Madison either.
If you're actually interested in learning about it I recommend taking an urban planning course or checkout one of the many books about this from a library. Like Fixer-Upper: How to Repair America’s Broken Housing Systems.
I'm not advocating at all for either of these specific brands over any other, but rather the pairing of the styles.
I use 2 different kinds of gloves in the winter. The first is a thin wool liner; it does a good job of keeping the fingers warm when it's cold but doesn't hold up on its own to high wind or snow. They're essentially way better versions of those cheap stretchy gloves.
When it's windy, wet, or extra cold I add another layer over the wool liner that provides more moisture & wind resistance, but doesn't have a thick layer of insulation.
I find this combination works well to give me better use of my fingers than a thicker/poofier winter glove. An added benefit is that it's very flexible for different conditions and neither pair takes a ton of space so it's easy to shove them in a jacket pocket if one's not needed. Having separate liners also makes drying them out much easier as well.
Just asking, but do your headlights need to be restored because they are hazy? Hazy headlights diffuse the light and make it hard to see wet roads. Also, are your headlights properly aligned because that can also make a big difference.
I restored my headlights with this Sylvania product. Unfortunately it cannot be used in this colder weather. (Unless you have a heated garage). This product was rated best by Consumer Reports.
I have also used the Meguiar product, but it only lasted about a year. This also cannot be applied in the winter temps.
You could also have your auto shop do it, but it will cost more. But at least they have the temperature needed to do the job in the shop.
This may not be your problem, but I thought I would mention it just in case. Take care.
