Yeah, no problem.
The lights are a Mars Hydro TS1000, and a no name blurple light that came with my tent setup.
Next grow is B-52, Fast Eddy CBD, $100 OG Kush, and Mystery Machine (an unknown bag seed that I named thusly).
Medium: Soil
Pots: 3 gallons
Nutes: Greenleaf Nutrients (Mega Crop, Sweet Candy, Bud Explosion)
Light: Mars Hydro TSL2000
You can get a knockoff kill-a-watt pretty cheap. I think this is the one I have. It has worked well for me for DIY LED light testing.
I get it. If it gets the job done then, sure it's fine.
Yeah the TS1000 (and higher), while not anything extraordinary, are definitely a big jump up in output per watt because they have a driver and go from 60-70% power efficiency up to 90+.
The TS600 other similar varieties of low efficiency driverless lights like
this "D" version of spider farmer lights usually have that same extra circuitry on the face of the board in constrast with the ones with drivers that have only LED diodes on it.
I have two SP series lights that I am a fan of.
Yeah that’s kind of what I was curious about. I bought a rectangular light, dimensions are 24x10.5 and I’m very happy I did, but I also looked at items like this:
Phlizon Linear Series PH-1000 SMD LED Plant Grow Light Full Spectrum Grow Lamp for Indoor Plants Waterproof No Noise Grow Light for Indoor Plants 2x2ft Growing Bulb- Actual Power 150watt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CKJPJL6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_36ZK8WV82H4CBDQDSR0T?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
My concern with these linear lights was that I wouldn’t get even coverage through my tent (33” X 33” x 62”)
was looking for something similar for my tent, only one i found is a vivosun https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WHXC7G2/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_6?smid=A2PQGFJXAT8J9K&th=1
I guess the most important question is what size is your grow space?
If you have a 2x4 tent, the SP3000 is one of the best lights you can get until you go way up in cost to boutique quality. IMO the TS series is pretty bottom of the barrel. Less efficient off brand drivers, less efficient LEDs, and no real heatsink so it runs hot and shortens the lifespan. If you need something as cheap as possible, the TSL2000 will do alright for a few years, but if you want to just get one light that will perfectly cover a 2x4 for flowering and last for likely a decade or more, the SP3000 is a better bet.
Both draw a little under 300 watts, but the TSL2000 has a third-party tested actual usable overall efficiency of 1.83µmol/w vs 2.12 for the SP3000, and a total output of 523.6µmol vs. 630.3
The SP's serious heatsink means less direct heat on the plants and a longer durability, while the better driver and LEDs provide more light for the same power draw/heat.
The only reason I would suggest the TSL2000 is if your grow space is shorter than 4 feet, but at that point I would suggest a different style of light like the SpiderFarmer SF-2000 or another brand of that same type of 200-240W double board fixture. That kind would be perfect for a 2x3.
If your space is a 3x3 or similar, the new Mars FC3000 multiple-bar-style light may be the ideal option, however I don't have any personal experience with it nor have I seen any reliable third party testing yet because of its newness. It should be nearly identical to the top tier efficiency and wattage of the SP3000, except in a different shape/layout.
>80 degrees
It works to some extent, I'm not sure how my next grow will go.. it was definitively too hot at maximum height.
Pushing fresh air on the led panel help with removing the hot air but you're also creating a dry hot air draft, which is also really bad. I want to take the hot air around the unit and lift it up. I was thinking about adding a large PC fan (https://www.amazon.ca/360mm-Silent-Jumbo-Fan/dp/B002BTQUJ8) to the top but it would either pull air from the heatsink (which wouldn't do much) or push air on top of the heatsink (that would help making it cooler but also create hot air toward the side and maybe downward). I don't have a fan like that for testing and also don't own one of those 'guns' to check the temperature of the panel.
If some people wanna try it and comment how it helped, that would be great !
Get a $20 watt meter like THIS off of Amazon. Reads amps/wattage. You can also use it to adjust your driver settings to the true wattage or more of what a lights spec's claim. Example, my SP3000 claims 300 watts, meter says 270 watts, I adjusted driver with screwdriver to run at 330 watts with this meter. Those extra 60 watts make a big difference in brightness levels. Yes, the driver runs hotter and may shorten it's life, but worth it I figure for what it produces.
Mosquito Dunks. It is a bacteria (Bacillus Thuringiensis, Sub-Species Israelensis) that will eat the eggs.
Take 1/4 of a dunk, crush it up, mix it with 1 gallon of water, add a teaspoon of sugar. Let it sit for 24 hours, then thoroughly soak the soil. You can also crush it up and add it as a top dressing. May need a couple of applications, but this works.

❤️😶🌫️❤️
My favorite timer. It has two independently programmable outlets that can be programmed down to the second. I use them for lighting and for managing my irrigation and stirring pumps in my reservoirs.
I highly recommend a radiant oil filled space heater. They are way more effecient that other types of space heaters for our applications and they wont melt/burn other equipment nor dry out the air as much. As long as your air circulation is great, they are ideal. This is the one I bought. and I haven't needed to turn it above its 600w mode even exhausting my tent air out of my room.
Although this isn’t low wattage, if I get something like this maybe I don’t need a separate heater and fan, since this is both? …. Your local grow store will have the gro pro pot elevators wayyy cheaper than online. I like these because it's all one piece. They are about the same price as gro pro at my local store.
Hey this looks exactly like my grow! Haha. I had 5 5gallon pots under scrog now! You can always add a light! Looks amazing btw https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homestudio.ppfdmeter Best app for light meter! I used this to check DLI and ppfd and adjust lights as necessary! Best of luck 1
This one seems to be good.
I’m going to order a set of these. I was also looking at this.
It’s not an exact replacement it should work. Look at the others . iPower 6 Inch Air Carbon Filter Replacement Prefilter Sleeve Cover for 6" Air Carbon Filter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z3MLFFV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_B77EN87ZK8J5A4A7PTTV
Here is the link to TinkerCAD if anyone wants to mess with it. I've been thinking about getting the grow tent from Mars Hydro. Did some messing around to see what I could fit in there.
I've had mine for almost a year and I love it. Only thing that sucks is you cant hang it.. From what I read while looking for clip oscillating fans they're all expensive junk and don't last more than a year or so.
I bought a few of these Genesis clip fans
here is the kit, it looks like it has a net like you mentioned. i was looking at a ph tester and they're about 120 cad.
the automatic watering may come later. im looking to sink around a grand to get the first crop going and add as i learn
This. They make a decent tent so you could grab that from them too if you wanted for a good price with the discount code below, works on Amazon too.

I’ve seen people with spider farmer and these I got a cheap 2x4x5 off Amazon I did get what I pay for with some fixable light leaks but it’s pretty cheap plus it’s put in my closet so light can’t go trough the venting. I’m definitely gonna upgrade with a new job I need a flower tent ima just use this for veg but it is kinda big for that so idk honestly
turned it up to 100%. put a layer of perlite since i have an open window nearby as a safeguard against potential gnats. this mars hydro ts1000 has been doing great! just ph'd water for now and some KLN every once in a while
the little one is larry lemon about a week old. grow in doctor earth soil and under a mars hydro ts1000 turned up to 100% now. loving this new light so far.

I love it and use it every day!
Dude thanks for taking the time to write this! Makes sense about stretching when the light is far. Ive been told to keep the light close (like 4” above canopy) after seedling stage, but without a PAR meter I’m just guessing on intensity. I’m hoping this tool will help give me a ballpark estimate after converting to PAR: https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Dr-meter-Illuminance-Measuring-Rotatable/dp/B07LF4BT8V
Thanks for the insight. The Apogee PAR meters are way past my budget for how I’d be using them. I did find this LED-specific light meter - not sure if this is marketing though or if this would work with the TSL LEDs. Dr. Meter LED light meter
I have 2 vivo sun tents, they seem to block almost all the light. The corners have a trim that is over the joining seam, so the corners are all very light proof.

666 grams, and they’re called buddy bags I found them on Amazon, they’re literally impossible to find in stores. Thx bro.
For sure- I've got two of these. They're cute little things that clip on and have a USB plug so they're convenient af. Im waiting on my beans to arrive now- I really should have a filter system setup of some sorts I just don't have the money this time around.🤷♀️
Please feel free to ask any questions you have, I definitely don't mind.👍&I followed you back so I can watch your product. Good luck&have fun!
Nice, hopefully they all turn out to be girls! I'm using soil & perlite, didn't start adding anything else until I flipped to flower. If your tent is going to be in a basement, or you are more tolerant to noise don't worry about it. I got this Vivosun Fan filter combo, that should work in your tent too.

I use exhale co2 bags. The only downside is - they take up to a month to inoculate and fully activate. But they last 6-9 months.
Other products like the co2 bottle activate immediately, but they run out in a month or two.
Also, I would add a few of those (https://www.amazon.ca/a14111400ux0242-Aluminium-Radiator-Heatsink-100x25x10mm/dp/B00UJ95TOE/) heat sinks with thermal tape or paste. With the big size fan on top or a clip-on fan, this will help dissipate the heat very fast.
If people want to test the performance and temperature change, I would really appreciate that. I'm pretty sure I will end up using a cooling like that.
