> While no specific date for an expansion announcement has been set, we plan to have an announcement within the next 30-45 days.
Interesting. It went from 45-60 days down to 30-45 days in less than a week. This says to me that they've already decided who is getting the expansions (Loons and Sacramento make the most sense) and they just need to finalize the paperwork.
edit: The countdown clock has been adjusted accordingly. Interestingly enough, that's the day before the home opener.
Was in the same boat last year. Kids under 3 are free and we had no problem bringing our infant in. Biggest thing is to make sure you bring one of those clear stadium bags as diaper bags are not allowed.
edit: as others have mentioned, bring hearing protection for the little one. Infant ears are significantly more sensitive than adult ears. Our little one hates having anything on her head but she’s been doing really well with these earmuffs.
Yep a bunch of us will be at the British Bulldog and then a Loons-only bus leaves from there to DSGP at 4pm to join the C38 tailgate. You can buy tickets to either the bus or tailgate here. The tailgate is AWESOME. Last year it was $7 for all you can eat burgers, dogs, pizza, gyros, beer and more. C38 are great hosts. *Note - if you do the bus it is NOT staying for the Unified match so you'll have to find another way back to town.
Our 1-0 loss to Atlanta saw Sam Nicholson winning his second MotM of the 2018 campaign.

It's important to review the Allianz's Bag Policy and Weather Forecast before the game and plan accordingly. It sucks to wait in a long security line, only to find out you need to drop your backpack or purse in a $10 locker, and go to the end of the line. Not bringing adequate layers for the colder games, or forgetting a hat and sunglasses in the summer, will also make the experience worse.
Other than that, prepare to cheer loudly, stand for corner kicks, and stand the whole game if you are in the wonderwall.
Darwin Quintero is on a three game streak, taking home MotM honors for the third week in a row in last week's home win against Houston.

Get a VPN with ESPN+ and set your location outside of Minnesota. ExpressVPN has been working pretty well for me, except if I try to watch on my phone not in airplane mode since it uses my cell location instead of IP address in the ESPN app I guess. But able to setup my Android TV to route through the VPN and its been working just fine lately
One World Sports.
I used sling TV.
https://www.sling.com/international-sports
If you have Amazon Fire TV, Roku, iOS, Android, Mac, or PC you can subscribe, i think they even have a 30 day free if you already have one of those devices.
Sling TV on the Roku works great, watched last night Cosmos game on it and usually watch the Tuesday NASL program (NASL this week). With the Roku app (not sure about others) you can replay for 24 hours any program.
NordVPN has worked well for me thus far. Express worked most of the time but I haven’t missed a game with Nord. CW through has all weekend games expect the national broadcasts which I think are usually Fox.
Darwin Quintero took home his second MotM in as many games last week against Seattle.

Cue up “That One Shining Moment” from the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
Edit: here it is
You should just ditch cable tv and get Sling TV. The $40 package will cover most of what you need, especially the sports channels. That's what I do. Sling TV + netflix + hulu. They have apps for a bunch of devices too: https://www.sling.com/devices
Not sure she's pulled a center. She's only a USSF 7.
https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=310135943
Grade 7 is okay for an AR in all adult games below the top adult division per USSF. Usually the center in a professional league game is preferred to be a grade 5.
Edit: Sorry, Grade 4. Grade 5 would be pushing it.
> James Burke's tv series Connections
Looks like PBS has it on sale. Amazon does at well but depending on how you feel about Amazon's ethics its up to you.

Sun's glare on fans in the stands rather than goalies is more ideal. Here is an excerpt from the 5th Edition of Football Stadiums: Technical recommendations and requirements published in 2011 by FIFA.
> Playing Field Orientation
> Great care must be taken regarding the angle of the playing field in relation to the sun and the prevailing weather conditions. Match participants, spectators and media representatives must be protected as much as possible from the glare of the sun. However, the effect of a stadium's roof on the playing field must also be considered. When there is a natural grass pitch, it is critical that there is enough air movement to sustain the health growth of grass. All sides of the playing field must receive a reasonable amount of direct sunlight.
> A north-south field orientation is often considered ideal but more sophisticated analysis has led stadium designers to choose an angle equal to the average direction of the sun at half time in an afternoon game.
I'm going to the C38 tailgate. $10 donation for all you can eat pizza, hot dogs, soda and even beer afaik. There will be a few Loons there I imagine.
In case you are interested you can still buy tickets here or at the parking lot.
I heard last weeks game was available on the one world sports web site.
Sling TV has a sports package that includes one world sports for $10 per month (beIn and a few other channels), first month free.
https://www.sling.com/international-sports
I purchased a Ruko and added sling TV to it, watched the "NASL this week" last night on it.
Sling TV has a android app, I've used but it kept getting slow downs.
The streaming sites are in an arms race with VPN providers to block traffic. ESPN finds a VPN provider IP to block, the VPN provider switches to a new IP. ExpressVPN has worked pretty consistently for me but it's a pain to have to use a VPN and as a fan it feels frankly insulting that it's so difficult to watch all the games.
I've had luck with Tunnelbear (free) and NordVPN (paid). Just keep trying different US-based servers and it'll work eventually. Shitty to have to go through any hoops to use something you already pay for. Blame the medieval blackout restrictions that are for some reason still used across sports.
I got it without the frame and just bought this frame from amazon instead. Way cheaper.
I've got NordVPN and they don't have a MN server. The closest is either Chicago or St. Louis.
Sad to find out about this latest carrier dispute. I have xfinity so it hopefully won't affect me. Otherwise I still have ESPN+ (gotta have the Euro 2020 matches) so I guess I could always go thru NordVPN and watch those on a tablet. :-/
ETA: looks like xfinity/Comcast in the Twin Cities still has FSN. It comcraptastic.
I don't use one as I live in market and have YouTube TV (that gets FS North). I've heard good things about NordVPN though:
I have one of the routers they sell through ExpressVPN. Works great. Super easy to switch between different locations. I haven't tried it for ESPN stuff yet.
I bought the NowTV box from Sky, so I can watch all the British stuff. So that's cool.
I have used a VPN with ESPN+ before successfully. If you want to test it, try something like TunnelBear (though I would probably go with a different VPN if you do make a purchase), which offers 500mb free, before actually committing to make sure it works for you.
Here's what I would do. I do something similar to get all the British channels to watch the Premiership with decent announcers and coverage.
First, get a VPN, I use ExpressVPN and the have been almost perfect.
Next get a prepaid Visa, or Google Pay, or iTunes card and add that to your balance. This will allow you to get the subscription to ESPN+.
I'll look and see if I can find something similar to this site from the UK:
I have an ESPN+ and get blacked-out almost every game. I also have a Private Internet Access account and I just VPN into a different region of the US, and I can watch the game no problem. It even works when casting to my Chromecast!
As someone without a cable subscription and with kids whose bedtime often conflicts with game start times -
I typically subscribe to YouTube TV to watch most of the games because they carry CW, FS1, and ESPN, and their DVR feature is the easiest to use and does not require setting it up for every game - just following the team.
For the games which are not available on CW, I reluctantly use ESPN+ (as part of Disney+/Hulu bundle) with a VPN (ExpressVPN) to get around location restrictions. I don't like using ESPN+ as the primary way of watching because I find it much more difficult to start the game without spoilers. If the game is in-progress it tends to warp you to Live. If the game has already ended, the final score shows up all over the place.
I used NordVPN this past season and it worked really well and was easy to use. You can even use it on your phone. A little pricey tho at $12/month. I think you get a better deal if you buy it for a year.
Drink your fluids boys! Hourly forecast shows it will feel like 100 at kickoff. Playing in a sauna is a pretty good home field advantage.
I'd love if at the same time the Loons also add white dots to their kits resembling the pattern on the actual bird. (check out the kits on Page 29 of Zeus Jones' proposals for an example of what that could look like: https://www.slideshare.net/zeusjones/mn-united-zeus-jones)
I wouldn't even know how to register with OWS, what does 'register with OWS' mean to you?
They don't sell their channel directly you have to get it from a cable, satellite provider or SLING TV.
Go to this link https://www.sling.com/international-sports
This is the answer. I use NordVPN, just connect to a random location that isn’t here and espn plus works fine. Screen mirror to tv. If you had a HTPC or similar skip last step.
So so dumb we need to be doing this though. The league needs a saner tv deal.
Not quite the same but here you go. You’ll need to do like they did in cut a hole in the bottom and then stuff your head in. But seriously I’m 99% sure they are homemade.
That’s my setup and it works every time. Relatively cheap and useful solution IMO.
Need? Patience. And that's not just when they are babies.
Backpack for the diaper bag. We had more of a satchel/purse style to start, but that's just not as easy. A back pack style you can throw on and you're hands are free to baby wrangle. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071DQSWS3
So up until last night’s game 10/28 vs Colorado). Express VPN worked great for using ESPN+. I went to watch it today only to see it blacked out while using ExpressVPN. I tried multiple locations on multiple devices (all of which had worked before. Not sure if it something I did or if ESPN is really getting that much better at detecting VPNs.
Alright. I was the guinea pig.
My mother in Arizona has an ESPN+ account. I logged in to her ESPN on my work computer which has a Minneapolis IP address. I was able to find a replay of the past MNUFC vs Houston match. I tried to play it but it said it was blacked out.
On my personal computer, I purchased NordVPN. I turned it on and connected to a server in Phoenix, Arizona. I found the stream for MNUFC vs Houston, and it played without the blackout message.
I'll be connecting this laptop to my TV this weekend with an HDMI cable to watch the match. Not ideal, but it will work.
NordVPN also has an app that can be downloaded and used on any smart tv that uses an android operating system. I haven't tested this, but it sounds promising.
With ESPN+, if I remember right from last season, I had to use a dedicated IP server with NordVPN in order to spoof the ESPN+ system. Takes a little more searching on their UI but it was the only way to get it to work.
That being said, they are kind of in an arms race to break through/stop the work arounds so we'll see how it plays out
ExpressVPN is what I use. I am tech savvy, BUT it is super to use (at least for on your phone, laptop, etc.). I don't have a smart TV so I'm not sure how it would work with that and I haven't tried installing it directly on my router since I can control it on each device I use
ESPN+ also blocks a lot of VPNs. My usual NordVPN server got nailed this time, so I had to go digging to find an unblocked server, but eventually found one.
(Now if only streaming to the Chromecast would work properly tonight.)
I highly recommend NordVPN
Don't know for certain that it would work with MLS live, but I bet it would. Think it still works with Netflix even.
It's paid, but it's not that expensive. The free ones are kinda bunk now that Opera VPN is gone
Congrats on being in Toronto! I'm jealous. Never been there but it's on my list
Well dammit. I foolishly assumed that MLS live would work as nicely as NHL Gamecenter. Not so much, as it's apparently restricted to the US/Canada. Ugh.
Even tried IPVanish. Still no dice. Dammit.
If you are thinking of displaying your coin, here's a good option. It's a single coin display case and it holds up to 1.75" coins. The Itasca coin is 1.75" so it should be perfect.
Note... I haven't ordered this display it yet, but probably will soon.
I was hoping this hex version would work better, but it holds either 1 5/8" or 2"...
Edit: I'm assuming the thickness is OK... but would need to verify. Pity that the edge of the coin won't be seen with this display...
Just add some high power flashlights/spotlightswith a couple of red gels to the fog machine.
I highly recommend purchasing one of these.
One remote can control 4 different machines all at once. And it's cheap.
