I hate it too. I immediately installed Tap-n-Turn, which gives you an icon when you rotate the phone to give you an option about whether or not to shift rotation.
I know this is a bit late but there's actually an app that Oneplus provides that makes backing up your apps and dat a breeze. This is the app.
if you get an app like Kernel Auditor: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grarak.kerneladiutor&hl=en
you can change the CPU/GPU settings so that they never run at full speed. Since you arent gaming this shouldnt make a performance difference for you. Since they now wont be running as fast, they will run a lot cooler.
Hope this helps!
Not FileDash, but I use SyncMe for transferring files - works 100% transferring (move/copy/sync) to/from a NAS (but description mentions Windows).

Fairly straightforward once you grant root or install with ADB. Sometimes if the app you're looking for is a system app, you'll have to hit the upper right menu and enable system apps in the list.
Turns out I'm far from the only one with this problem. Just happened to look at the reviews in Play Store and there are dozens of the same complaints! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scotiabank.mobile
You can install the APK for vysor found here using 'adb install app.apk' minus the quotation marks, and replacing app.apk with the actual package name.
If you have the authenticator problem solved by joseIrl, and just need data off the phone. Download twrp for your device.
Go to fastboot mode on your phone, and type "fastboot boot twrp.img" where TWRP.img is the path to the TWRP image you downloaded.
If you type fastboot BOOT instead of FLASH, it won't overwrite your current recovery. Then once it boots up, plug it in to your computer, and it will show up as a USB device.
This MIGHT work. Look up minimal ADB and fastboot, follow the XDA thread to install it. Plug your phone into your computer. Put your phone into bootloader mode. Download the latest TWRP for your device at TWRP.me. In a command prompt, type "fast boot boot recovery.img" , where recovery.img is the file you downloaded. With any luck your phone will show up as a flash drive on your computer. I don't have any other suggestions if it doesn't work, sorry.
def sounds like a grounding issue then! I had the same problem with my ceiling speakers.
You can buy devices that kill and solve this grounding feedback problem. This device worked perfectly for me. You place it between your phone and the car stereo system and it should solve your problem.

has a few "bubbles" in it? what does that mean?
OP wouldnt cover the cables, especially since you bought it secondhand, but good usb cables are pretty cheap. A cable like this would work great for your phone: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerLine-Resistor-Including-ChromeBook/dp/B01E9W8KYC/
Try using GPS Test:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=en
right after you reboot and look after the number of satellites and levels.
First GPS lock might work differently if you have cellular data and wifi turned off. On some cellular providers if you have the cellular data active A-GPS makes GPS lock almost instant.
Do earphones work if you plug them? There is an app that foces audio through the speakers or through the 3.5mm jack, you can also use that. I think it is this one
Okay, have you tried downloading Netflix from another source and installing it? You'll have to "enable unknown sources" under settings and find the apk, but it should work?
APK Downloader: https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/?id=com.netflix.mediaclient
Netflix Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netflix.mediaclient&hl=en
an even easier method is to grab something like Opera VPN
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.vpn&hl=en
Set your region to Canada or Germany then check for updates on your phone. It will grab the latest update directly from there.
