If you can't directly bind an action to wheeldown/up, then there's an option to remap buttons with Autohotkey.
Bind teammates to F1-F4. Then remap wheeldown/up (+alt) to F1-F4. This should work (put in .ahk file and run):
#NoEnv SendMode Input #InstallMouseHook #UseHook
#IfWinActive, ahk_exe League of Legends.exe { WheelUp::Send {F1} ^WheelUp::Send {F2} ; Ctrl + Up WheelLeft::Send {F2} WheelRight::Send {F3} ^WheelDown::Send {F3} ; Ctrl + Down WheelDown::Send {F4} }
But zooming will remain and you'll have to disable it in the config. There was one method, but it doesn't work for me. Maybe it will for someone.
Play osu! with mouse and Hidden mod and you'll learn to track well without thinking too much about it.
There is one hotkey that will be useful for your situation: target champions only (something like that). Look for it and set it to a convenient key. It prevents you from targeting (autos & abilities) anything that's not a champion. I play locked so I personally have it set to space bar and use it almost every trade/fight to avoid casting on a minion as you describe.
Yes, also there should be physical education for reaction time and health in general. Read books such as The Art of War, math is also important. Tbh a school with LoL in it wouldn't be too far off a regular school.
just in case anyone wants to know how to do this:
make sure you have "target champions only" bound to ` in game for this to work.
Just saying liss has an escape and her ult and a root and a slow. Not to mention flash and zhonyas. I'm not a pro but she's really safe and doesn't need to be tanky.
A lot of people initiate with her. She doesn't have great ratios but she does have 4 aoe damaging abilities so it helps to build big ap items and use her as a pick or dps mage. RoA doesn't offer much AP and no cdr which helps on a cc mage like liss who also has long cooldowns.
Just my take.
Edit: I came home and looked it up. Go here, its fairly recent. Lissandra has 2.55 AP scaling. LeBlanc has 3.7, Morgana 3.4/3.9 (guessing on how long in the pool of ow), Maokai (!) has 2.7, Ryze has 2.05 (just for comparison, he doesn't even build strict AP items).
Gbay99 had a hard time with that series, and though that stores is the reason he earned my subscribe, he has expressed that he won't be making any more videos to get better at league.
A lot of "The Art of War" doesn't really apply to league, unfortunately. There's novelty height advantage, but it comes down to analyzing failures. An engineering class would be a better teaching aid.
That said, Sun Tzu was on to something with some of these tips. He's basically defining "play smart, don't feed, focus objectives and win your Lane."
He is personally my favorite streamer to learn support because he explains exactly what he is doing, what his team/enemy team is doing, and what the plan to do next is. I learn a lot every time I watch his stream.
Welp, I started it off, anyone can access and edit so go have a look and if you feel you know enough write it down.
Try to fill out the notes a little so we have some reasoning.
EDIT: :O Wow guys, really really impressed with everything you've done! Lots of hard work been put in here. Thanks for helping :)
What do you think about this domination page for Zyra? I've been seeing a Korean support Zyra main suddenly charge his runes to this recently, so I was wondering. I tried it out and it does do a lot of damage with the Adaptive Focus + Electrocute
Riot said in one of their articles that they want to do a "harder" reset this next ranked season. I think that means pre-season climb will matter less this time around as everyone will be reset to a "lower" rank
https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/quick-gameplay-thoughts-10-8/
/u/Duocek is a top 50 NA Challenger midlane main who has recently started streaming more frequently and is constantly commentating on his actions and thought process during the game. His following is also small enough currently to where he regularly fields all questions and even plays some ARAMs with viewers at the end of the stream. You can find his channel here:
https://www.twitch.tv/duocek2/
He also has a YT channel of videos specifically geared towards what you're looking for. In keeping with his goal of getting to #1 on Challenger, he's not always going to play the champion you necessarily want to see so going to his YT to view the numerous videos on champs he's already covered is an option as well.
He'll sometimes hop on his smurf account and that's where you can request him to play something you'd like to see (Quinn mid please). Check him out!

"UPDATEDNEW PLAYER EXPERIENCEBrand will replace Ahri in the League of Legends tutorial. Seraphine will take Brand's place as one of the unlockable champions in the "Unleash the Storm" quest"
never heard of people getting chromas before so someone might have gifted it to u or somthing
There's a very good chance this is just lady probability doing her thing. Because given enough games, from a statistical perspective it becomes more likely than not you will lose five games in a row.
It can be demonstrated if we represent wins and losses in binary terms, 1s and 0s respectively. I used this site to generate 5 rows with 20 digits each, and found that 4 rows had 5 0's in a row somewhere in them. They do happen with frequency, and given a large enough number, it almost becomes a certainty.
Add on the tilt factor, wins tend to follow wins and losses tend to follow losses, you'll find 5-game win/loss streaks to be extraordinarily common.
That ward isn't actually in the bush lol
https://gyazo.com/a944d285dd3cb04b1fe4834a16f89d1d
you can see right here. It's right next to the bush but not in the bush. Hence why the bush is still dark.
At the beginning of the game /mute all. Instantly. You could say that you'll miss out on information because u muted your teammates but most communications can be done by just pinging.
If you have to unbind your enter key. I believe you can do this by using autohotkey. https://autohotkey.com/
Realize that your account is on the line because your next ban is going to be a permaban. You don't want all that time you spent on your account go to waste.
Realize that these are people you're flaming not npcs. You can actually hurt them irl because not everyone has a thick skin.
I got perma banned for being toxic and that was the worst thing that happened to me. I kept flaming because I was stupid and kept pushing riot's ban system. Saying to myself that they wouldn't perma ban me.
I believe anyone can reform if they try hard enough. Tyler1 seems to have reformed and he was toxic as fuck. Probably more toxic then most people will ever be.
EDIT: added a bit more
Twisted Treeline, 2 or 3 man bot, preferably all ranged AD champions. As long as you take bot inhib between 3:45 and 4:15, you can time it pretty close to 7 minutes.
I just did the math (feel free to check my work).
Considering only base damage, with Q + 3AA's, Fervor deals more damage than TLD at all levels because of the immediate 4 stacks from Q. For TLD to deal the same damage as Fervor, Fizz needs 35 - 300 AP.
Conclusion: If you can't get at least 3 AA's off, TLD deals more damage at all levels. With a lot of AP, Fervor needs at least 4-5 AA's to match TLD.
In theory, Thunderlord's is better for assassin Fizz because it scales with AP and doesn't require many AA's to deal damage but Bjergsen is good enough to do well with either of them.
You can get $5 rp about every month with bing rewards, and search in the background if you use the search bot. When you accrue your points you need to get a reward (I think it's 525 or so until you get gold), choose the $5 burger king egift. Copy the code and open your league of legends client, enter store>purchase rp>subway gift cards & more then make an account and redeem your burger king code for rp.

For replays, I can highly recommend signing up to www.Replay.gg. You just give them your summoner name and they will record a spectator file for every game you ever play. You can see (and download) the replays on the website, which works pretty good IMO.
If you want screen recording software, a solid (free) choice is Open Broadcaster Software.
The korean alphabet is pretty simple, it won't take you long to learn it, I did a few years ago, but I heard the grammar is difficult. I recently joined this korean for beginners course on coursera, you might wanna join if you're interested, it started 2-3 days ago and it's free. Here: https://www.coursera.org/learn/learn-korean
Edit: You'll just have to pay if you want a certificate, you don't need to though if you just wanna learn the language.
Spellsy's Condensed Support Powerpoint
Slides 13 to 16 talks about Lane combinations and what counters certain ones. The presentation overall is very well done and I really like it.
Just picking a support that works well with an AD doesn't automatically mean you will do well, you need to know how to mesh well together. A certain combo requires you to go all in for a kill (Vayne/Alistar, Corki/Leona) but if you're not in sync you probably won't get the kill. Other combinations require sustained harass (Cait/Sona), or great trading (MF/Janna). That's why bot lane is pretty difficult in Solo Queue: the inability to know when to be aggressive then back off, passively farm, or go all-in for the kill.
When you are in sync with your AD and the enemies aren't, you can easily win trades, take kills, or out-farm the enemy bot lane easily. Communication is key.
Timmy plays to have fun, Johnny plays to express himself, Spike plays to prove himself.
OP seems like he's caught between Timmy and Spike, which has served him just fine up till D5 and the current meta.
IMO, OP actually has an advantage. He enjoys playing for fun and playing to win. So, if you don't like the current competitive meta, just focus on having fun for now, until climbing is fun for you again.
As an ADC player, I gotta throw my weight behind https://www.twitch.tv/lolgeranimo . I like watching Imaqtpie and Sneaky as well, there's a ton to learn watching them and they're hilarious, but Geranimo always explains what he's doing and why he's doing it and he plays most of the ADCs rather than what's meta.
Are you following their behavioural systems dev posts?
https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/behavioral-systems-april-2021/
Its really interesting imo. They are very much able to detect soft inting etc. Ofc they're not gonna state just how much they are able to detect but it is possible.
Quotes from The Art of War:
> Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look upon them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death.
> If, however, you are indulgent, but unable to make your authority felt; kind-hearted, but unable to enforce your commands; and incapable, moreover, of quelling disorder: then your soldiers must be likened to spoilt children; they are useless for any practical purpose.
Everything in moderation. - Greek proverb.
If you're nice and people are still complaining/fighting/arguing/crying, then give up on them and focus on your own game.
Vi OTP reporting in:
I am sorta iffy about this idea, you normally want sticking power on vi first thing, which is why you get stalkers, warriors (cdr for q), and cleaver. I personally get botrk after warrior every game, it is just too good on her, (heres a gif of my match mistory: https://gyazo.com/e230f396a1ec4ce8c6b37f32bd3c0727) reason that you want botrk is for extra sticking power and it lets you sustain in the jungle so you can farm for a loooong time, it actually outdamages triforce if you do the math. Also gives you stupid dueling potential, and with cleaver and your W you shred tanks just as fast as squishies. I would assume the main thing you want Titanic is for E synergy? The thing is that Vi has never really suffered from waveclear problems, E-Q-E kills all 6 minions in a wave. The only reason I can really see you getting Titanic for would be the tank stats? but if you want a tank item as Vi you should get dead mans plate for the added burst and movement speed.
TL;DR: Titanic is OK on her, but there are better options
Edit: people in the summonerschool group chat were saying i was wrong about botrk, here is the raw evidence:https://gyazo.com/ae7363e4477ddc8fa83854bb79134301
Valkrin is pretty informative;
https://www.twitch.tv/valkrin
He answers questions pretty much all the time when he's waiting for queue to pop and generally explains what he does and why while playing.
Do you know of anyone besides doublelift who did it? why make it sound like everyone is doing it?
already had this thread unless you know of somebody else..
> Please keep in mind that each pass the W makes decreases the damage/heal on that target by 13%.
Please keep in mind that this amp modifier scales with ability power. Once you get 200 AP it will begin to increase the Heal and Damage. This ability scales extremely well with AP.
https://www.desmos.com/calculator/zqyw8eej7w
Check out this graph, a nami with 900 AP can do 2261.425 dmg and heal 455 health with a single E if it bounces on two enemies and one ally.
Playing her mid is fun. In my experience her early game is good, mid game you will get out scaled but late game you come back as long as you have lots if AP.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/depression/symptoms-causes/syc-20356007
Although depression may occur only once during your life, people typically have multiple episodes. During these episodes, symptoms occur most of the day, nearly every day and may include:
Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort Reduced appetite and weight loss or increased cravings for food and weight gain Anxiety, agitation or restlessness Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or self-blame Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches For many people with depression, symptoms usually are severe enough to cause noticeable problems in day-to-day activities, such as work, school, social activities or relationships with others. Some people may feel generally miserable or unhappy without really knowing why.
So, yes, depression would fuck with your play. I have to echo what's been said, though; depression and videogames...well, they can go together without harm. But generally I would stay away from the gaming if I were dealing with depression. Too easy to lose day after day to gaming without making any progress on the illness.
Just...talk to a professional, if you aren't already, and please please please be honest with them.
I guess you can use OpenOffice. It may cause some problems with macros (which I see this file has), but it's worth trying IMO.
The Art of War explains it best: The opportunity to secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself. -Sun Tzu
It may look passive to the untrained eye but they know each other's strengths and weaknesses, respect that and move defencively while waiting for the enemy to make a mistake. Once they spot the mistake, they will act on it without mercy. At that level of play, mistakes are few and far between but they're always watching for that one misstep.
Hey OP. I'm somebody who works closely with Mobalytics (but not a part of the team.) ^^feelsbadman
Currently, Support Income for certain items is actually bugged in the current app where it is not recognising some of the income they grant. So don't beat yourself up too hard.
It's also reported on the Mobalytic's Trello board. Which is here.
The main thing for Nami specifically is utilizing her poke and range whenever you have stacks available. Remembering to auto attack whenever you use your W is key also.
We've written a guide specifically on this subject before if you wanted to read it.
Hope it helps!
Early game, you should ALWAYS focus on last hitting. Last hitting is much more important that getting kills. Check this out: XP&Gold chart
By 20 minutes, if you last hit perfect, you can be level 14, have 5k gold (!) and 234 CS. Likewise, I suggest you reading this Article specifically section 2, but the whole Article will benefit you (As well as the rest of the series of these articles).
I'm not trying to be rude either: don't judge based only on elo.
Just because they're not as "qualified" doesn't mean they might be able to point out flaws in your game-play and help you get better. You'd be surprised what you can find when you look at someone else's game-play!
But yes, if you take a look in the sidebar, there's a link to a google spreadsheet with a list of all teachers.
This gangplank guide should be very helpful
http://www.lolking.net/guides/377531
This guy is a high elo Gangplank main who answers most questions in his chat.
Alright, since this is the conclusion of our conversation, I guess I better wrap up all of my socratic questions...
Basically, the etymology of the word "apple" is such that it was originally used to refer to any kind of fruit (source), so whoever it was that originally came up with the word "apple" specifically had a certain definition in mind, but nowadays nobody agrees with that definition, and instead, we use the term "apple" to mean a very specific fruit (i.e. today we consider bananas not to be a special kind of apple).
So if neither "oldest definition wins" nor "definition from creator wins", then which definition wins? My argument is the one espoused by linguistic descriptivism: The definition that "wins" is the definition that occurs in the reader's mind when they read the word. If I writes a word and I intend it to mean something, and someone reads that word and they interpret it to mean the same thing that I intended, then communication was successful (they got the meaning I wanted them to get), and the word was used "correctly" in the sense that I successfully conveyed the message I wanted to.
Thank you for your time.
I like bruiser / AD kayle quite a lot.
Basically- it's a lot stronger than AP Kayle into a lot of lanes because you can more easily grab resists, health and survive early lane. Whereas AP Kayle is forced into nashors=> abyssal/zh at a minimum if you need to not be glass cannon. Transitioning into a mixed damage, front liner with a crap ton of utility but unlike Lulu Orianna etc doing a lot of physical. She ends up being basically a 2nd ADC with a ton of utility in terms of aoe up to 15% armor mr reduction, mixed dmg and obviously her W and R.
Something like:
mastery
https://gyazo.com/5e1a6ee20a940a793b87c0ee8e95de57
AD/hplv or armor/CDRlv/AS
Hexdrinker => phage, mercs => triforce => FH => botrk.
Phage, sheen => triforce => FH.
Phage, sheen => lucidity, visage..
Full build being something like triforce botrk frozen heart visage + a hexdrinker/wits/warmog/etc.
Or full on AD with triforce botrk ghostblade IE PD at 6 items. Which outdamages AP Kayle.
https://gyazo.com/32d545b7a4f7b4a7a4e7363dcb8ab21e
Some games in the d3-d1 range ( note never go triforce nashors holy moly that build sucked)
https://www.overwolf.com/app/Overwolf-Replay_HUD
It's this I believe.
Also remember to also watch other people plays/deaths that were impressive/stupid or major teamfights or and big events. Just like real life you want to expierence them again to really remember and get a understanding.
Enter this "defaults write .GlobalPreferences com.apple.mouse.scaling -1" into Terminal and then log out and log back in; it should be removed
Edit: if that doesn't work, then I found this on google
Here's the upload, this is the config I run and I can use my scroll. Also remember you can't use the minimap unless you press shift or alt, can't remmeber which one it is or you're going to walk there.
Udyr main here. I got a lot of games this season with Udyr i think.
First piece of advice, already been mentioned:
Only max 1 out of Q and R. Turtle and Bear maxed are very important. Watch a trick2g disrespect video and you'll see why.
If you are going Tiger, don't get cinderhulk: get warrior. Synergizes better with Udyr, gives him early kill pressure and better duelist. If you are going Tiger you don't need to be tanky early game anyways. Get boots and build Triforce after that (or cleaver, a lot of dyrs doing it now), and usual dyr (FH, Visage/Wit's End, Ohmwrecker).
With your insane attackspeed and ohmwrecker, + sheen proc and tankyness, you will melt through towers and pretty much outduel anyone.
If you are going Phoenix, i suggest Cinderhulk(New Devourer as soon as its out though), Merc's, FH, Glory, Wit's End and ohmwrecker. Tanky and deals tons of damage, what more do you want xD?
I have a few guides in League Amino, i'll link them here.
http://aminoapps.com/p/ff0qs Tiger Udyr. http://aminoapps.com/p/zzc3e Phoenix and Basics.
I'm retarded and also bored so I psuedo-normalized the fields into a database app in order to understand it without looking at it too hard: https://airtable.com/shrpaWcp0yjS8dDbJ/tblTDmfnlLXWaHSHg/viwDWp4cDgsjvDvUW
Guess so, you could try joining a community like The Art of Warfare (taw.net). They have a LoL division with plenty of active members who have also formed small teams (and teams looking for players). I'm not exactly trying to advertise them, I'm just giving you a way of finding more people to play with. I used to be part of them (and I might rejoin since I'm free now).
I am not trying to advertise, as this is directly relevant to your post, but, I developed an Android app called "Insight for League of Legends" especially made for new players to learn more about the game! Try it out if you have an Android app, my dude :)

Other than that, don't worry about winning. Just have fun and learn all different champions and playstyles and figure out what you like. You can move forward from there.

Is really accurate. I'd toss out Garen and Renekton and Chogath but otherwise that list is good.
You can simply add it (to the input file) by typing it out and it will be fine. One interesting thing, Capslock is not necessary. You can just make sure normal keybind and smartcast with indicator keybind is the same for a spell and it will do the exact same thing. Problem is the game wouldn't let you use the same keybind for both normal spellcasting and smartcasting with indicator so that's why you need the modify the input.ini file for it to work.
The reason I have not posted this correction is because it seemed like not enough people found this useful and the Capslock method works just as well for anyone who DOES find it useful. If you are having trouble understanding what I mean, or typing out the necessary lines- here is my input file: http://www.filedropper.com/input.
I think you're underestimating Udyr when comparing him to those 3 junglers, phoenix Udyr has one of the fastest clear times, and Udyr with red will stick on anyone. He scales better lategame than Lee Sin, and has insane sustain with level 2 turtle stance. He is also great at invading due to mini ghost and phoenix stance, while being able to 1v1 the majority of junglers if caught at his own jungle. Lategame, he's just as tanky as hell and tiger can wreck squishies, his only problem is that he can be kited.
At IPL 4 Udyr was picked or banned more than Lee Sin, Mundo, or Shyvana: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0Aq7gnAPC_cFDdFVJT09SbUlMQkQxc211SGRRY1FCWUE&toomany=true#gid=0
Sign up for the Sunday Night Scrim Series. Though you'll be facing other ppl who are above your level (though not above level 30) it's a pretty safe environment to try out new things and play with some good ppl, and have it broadcast and casted in an unbiased way. I've yet to hear of anyone telling me they had a bad time playing in it.
The best hard counter to GP is Pantheon, his passive shield blocks parley spams and his spear can harass him pretty hard. Also his point-click stun can make ganks easy and can get you ahead pretty easily, especially if you're able to pick up a kill. If you haven't seen it yet, here's a full counter list that's pretty solid all in all IMO. Good luck! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aq-068L0cPIZdHdZR3JtaXlOdTZWQjJVb3FoUVZLM1E&hl=en_US#gid=0
Fuck what you heard, Last whisper is underrated and i see it as a crucial item lategame, even mid-late game. I build last whisper if i see the enemy starting to build items with 2 or more chain vests on 2 or more people.
Anyway, Pantheon is a counter for GP so as i mentioned before, the winner of that lane (atleast early in the game) was determined before you even left spawn. When you get counter the best thing you can do is farm as much as possible. Dont be stupid and risk your life for cs. In this lane i wouldve started cloth 5 pots for decent sustain through pots and armor to counter those spears. Wait for a gank and hope you get out ahead. After wriggles i wouldve started atmas, buying chain vest then belt, then finishing atmas.
Google spreadsheet with counterpicks for top. This is only a general guide, learn from experience.
Have a look at the epic spreadsheet mate, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AphRqh0bMfY5dENWeTVlay04X0NCQWp2X3JCNFRxN3c&hl=en_US#gid=0 there are a few people with jungling under specialisation, try messaging a few of them who play in your TZ.
It's not been updated in about 1-2 months but is this something youre looking for?
yup. What you do is you wait until the camp is in the wind up of the AA then you clone and step behind your clone so you block an extra auto attack :D
Runes- https://gyazo.com/531b035924b91cf74e0c21b3ea3fe6bd Masteries- https://gyazo.com/f9a3fc2d1f34ede755f5f9eaa7139bd3
The 5% CDR from runes + 5% from masteries gives you 40$ once you get warrior and BC. If youre on NA I'd be happy to spec you and help out if I can :)
Having low damage dosn't matter much, as long as you have map impact Map impact depends on your situation for each game.
Hard to say in one comment. I'm a high diamond jungler and I do VoD reviews and would love to help you out. Feel free to dm me or schedule a time if this would be helpful!
That's good! I've talked to a friend whos set me up a sick intro, and a sick outro for future videos, however the concise, clear information format will stay the same. And the background music too!
step1 :
don't have this rune page: https://gyazo.com/8a9a4a43017b03775ff44071f84bfb52
Having hp level or armor seals would matter.
Yi killed you so fast because you probably were not grouped/probably hourglassed very late. But besides that- your build, runes are pretty garbage. Like really garbage.
Here
Alternatively you could swap runic blessing for reinforced armor (if you're not buying thornmail) or phasewalker for biscuits if you're going to die and you think you need a bit more sustain.
Smashdd is a challenger player, he got there playing fill but with the new queue plays mainly top. He commentates about what he is thinking/doing in games, and answers questions in chat. He has a pretty small viewer base, ~50 at a time, so he generally can read most of chat especially out of game. link to twitch I am unsure of the rules so if I am not allowed to post a stream link let me know and I will remove it. He has also done an AMA on here as well.
I have a mechanical keyboard (Razer Blackwidow Ultimate) so I can pretty much remap my keys however I like. You can get around this if you look on the internet for software that remaps for you. I can't vouch for any in particular but the link below is just to show you that the software does exist.

Too much attack speed. You hit the cap with 3 AS items and R. Drop zerkers for tabi or PD for merc scim/Maw. Death's dance is pretty shit on Yi. Swap for merc scim/BT (Better than death's dance because more lifesteal and 350 HP shield)/Titanic (Still deals ~ 80 - 90 damage on hit on average (Including the AD and its on-hit effect when coupled with sated).
Maw/Steraks are still stupidly cost efficient, so until they get nerfed you may want those in your build, even if steraks doesn't benefit E's true damage very much.
Speaking of stupidly cost efficient items, try Youmuu's Ghostblade somewhere in your build. https://www.twitch.tv/ichigooppa (Master tier NA) builds it and its really strong on Yi. Don't remove core items like botrk/rageblade for it obviously. Btw no one in KR builds rageblade, few high elo Yi players consistently build it in NA (Seems even more popular in EUW) and Cowsep stopped building it too unless twitch begs him for it. It's a pretty lackluster item, botrk outscales it late game in damage and doesn't require stacking.
To get replays of your own point of view only:
OBS: https://obsproject.com/
There is also www.OP.GG, though gotta do it manually.
There is also a third party client, LSI, that can store and function with replays; same recording in a low memory format. Really good and I reccomend it, though I cannot use it on my PC because it slows it down... (not the best, but it does the job.)
I suggest you use OBS to record a capture of you playing your game. Post a game where you don't know how you could improve to youtube. Then make a similar post with the link to the video and say "how could I have done X better"
This will give people useful information to help you.
I use:
I like it because it can capture my voice and the ingame music. It makes an MP3 or similar file so I can open with video player programs = NO BUGS!!! It has a small learning curve to get the settings just how you want them. You can then upload that file ~ 1/2 GB to youtube or flash drive or whatever to share it. If you want for yourself then thats even easier. You can also stream live with twitch if you so choose.
I prefer this over LoL replays because it shows me exactally what I was looking at and I've made a habbit of verbally explaining what and why I do certain actions so when I review it I can determine if I'm thinking the right way too.
Hey, I made a few changes to your spreadsheet, just qulaity of life things.
I also hosted it on my OneDrive so that we can all make changes and keep this up to date (hopfully).
I've been usuing these links a cookie cutter guide:
http://cloth5.com/exploring-new-jungle-paths/ - Good article on early routes and clear times.
https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=E6DACBADDB2AC454!820&ithint=file%2cxlsx&app=Excel&authkey=!ALJOydS5iIHt9Yk
- A really good google doc with basic builds and stuff to try out on the new jungle.
Some more tips I have from playing in the jungle are:
-Try to control the river crab. It is very important to establish river dominance with,
-Use the blue smite aka Stalkers blade to set up cc. A lot of times if you drop it on the laners, they will gap close or use their flash (in my experence) for you to set up your cc such as vi q, amumu q etc. I've noticed a lot of junglers that buy stalkers don't even use their smite sometimes in situations that would be a successful gank.
You made me curious so I wrote a short python script to test it out (unfortunately it relies on pynput so I can't get it to run online). I'm not super-confident in it since I don't know the intricacies of how pynput works, but I think it probably works pretty well.
For me (Razer Naga Hex v2, Roccat Vulcan 121 AIMO w/ brown switches), I think you're actually pretty much right. According to my script with 15 trials, my mouse press time was 245ms, while my key release time was 273ms. I'm too lazy to do more data analysis, but these are close enough that they are probably within the margin of error and the difference, in any case, seems to be de minimis.
So while it's faster to normal cast compared to press-release, if you've already pressed the key, there seems to be minimal difference between key release and mouse press.
It's possible one is slightly faster than the other, but I'm already procrastinating on work I should be getting to, so maybe I'll do more detailed analysis later. Maybe I'll run it with like 100 trials sometime because there seems to be pretty high variance in these sort of tests. I tested right middle finger on RMB vs left middle finger on ESC.
Up front heads up I've played long enough to never need a resource this catered to new players myself, so I can't actually say whether or not this is any good or covers what you're after, but it's the best I could find in 10 or so minutes of searching around.
https://www.overwolf.com/app/Colorfulstan-Legendary_Builds
You mention having used LolWiz, so I'm assuming you or your buddies have Overwolf installed already, hopefully this is more up the alley of what you're after, and they're working with CLG now so I'd assume it's not a totally shitty app
It's on the right at reddit.com/r/Illaoi/
If you play for fun, play her! If you want to learn/improve in toplane play Darius/Malphite/Heimer you can look at ls tier list for that: https://tinyurl.com/y7qmtuaj
One of the absolute best things you can look into is meditation! Meditation promotes both mindfulness (being more conscious in the present moment, not being on auto-pilot) as well as helping you overcome your emotions from hijacking you and your mood.
Calm is a great app and website that offers great introductory guides meditations to help you get started. I truly believe this will help you!
Tilt is directly related to your state of mind and emotional status at the time. Your depression might contribute to it. You need to accept a few realities that can't be changed: You can't control others and you will lose because of others sometimes. I'm assuming you get tilted from your team playing badly, you maybe you losing your lane, getting camped etc. These are all things you cannot control right now, but with the right mindset and building your skills, you can.
Your team performing badly? Carry the best way you can. Losing your lane and dying to your enemy laner? Improve. Getting camped? Learn to deal with it and play with a more mobile champ (Vladimir, Kassadin, LeBlanc).
Still, things can never be 100% under your control and bad things will happen. So the most vital thing you have to do is to put your mind to rest and stop giving a shit. Of course, do your best still, but without investing bad emotions into it. Some people use anger as their fuel to win, but in most cases this doesn't work out.
So my advice is to try out mindful meditation. If you start meditating at least 30 minutes a day with a proper guide, it will teach you to be mindful and relaxed. Through breathing you will learn to let all bad emotions out and realize that you can do what you can do, but no more - so there's no reason to tilt. I can't help you with the specifics on how to meditate, but there are countless guides out there. Check out Headspace and /r/meditation for more information. On top of your antidepressants (which I'm assuming you are taking), meditation may help you fasten the process of recovery, however I'm not a doctor so you should consult your doctor before starting it.
>Nexus Blitz: Nexus Blitz is also part of our current rotation, but the results from last year’s runs still put it behind URF, OFA, and Ultimate Spellbook, which is why we haven’t brought it back as frequently. This doesn’t mean Nexus Blitz is retiring, but we would like to make some adjustments—like bringing the current roster of events and rewards more in line with what makes game modes like OFA and URF so enticing—before bringing it back sometime in 2022.

Gotta find the bottleneck. This could be several things:
Run some benchmarks at https://www.userbenchmark.com/Software to see what's causing the problem. You may need to update drivers for your network card or graphics card. If your comp is overheating, it could need the fan cleaned or to be placed in a better ventilated area.
For league, you can check to see what your FPS/Ping is in the top right. If ping is stable during the skillshot lag, it's probably your graphics card. If FPS is stable, it's probably your network.
example Grasp of undying + AD runes
example Thunderlord + AD/CDR runes
But i customize it every game so its not ideal, just examples how it could look
AP Fizz jungle is pretty good.
I prefer abyssal/zh core,mobis/purple smite.
https://gyazo.com/418a0c85417079fbad9beef863d9ca2a
I'm not very good at fizz though. I know nightblue3 has been playing him quite a bit as well so I'd say he's probably tier 1/2.
http://ahri.tw/en/ Baron Replays. Not sure if it's updated.
Personally I've been using OBS https://obsproject.com/ as it always works. It's a free streaming program which can also just save the video to your computer locally without actually streaming it online.
TL;DR: I recommend you get someone you can 1v1 with on a regular basis and actually PRACTICE laning. You need to both have an understanding of what you need to practice and then move on from there.
What you lack on syndra is merely laning phase skills that players in general below dia do not understand.
You need to use your abilities when the enemy is locked in animation. Meaning when they are doing something that can't be cancelled, like last hitting or using an ability.
Using your Q randomly will not net you anything, you need to think about what your goal in the early game is. Do you WANT to be at their tower?(Orianna, Viktor, some melee champs e.t.c) Or do you want to be near YOUR tower?(Yasuo, Assassins e.t.c).
So already we need to know these things:
Trading when the person is unnable to trade back(when he is standing still, not having cooldowns up, when he is csing).
Wave management - how we use our abilities and autoattacks to push the wave and then use it to put it in a position where we wanna be.
There's no mid or late game for you when you play like https://emojipedia.org/pile-of-poo/. You need to learn the game and how to play properly, not just play the champion named Syndra.
Made a program for that recently: https://www.reddit.com/r/summonerschool/comments/4nrsxk/program_to_compare_effective_health_from_items/.
Resistance and health both contribute to one thing: Effective health, or how much damage you can take from a certain damage type. The program uses EH to determine which additional stats are better to buy given the current stats.
As for the optimal ratio of armor to health, that depends on how much each costs. For example, if armor and health both cost nothing, the optimal ratio would be as much of each... it actually doesn't make sense.
I don't think this is very useful since resistances and health are offered through limited items. It's more useful to compare slot efficiency... comparing this item to that item based on stats. Here's the numbers if you want them:
Currently, Armor is worth 20g and Health is worth 2.67g per point. 1 point of health is worth about 1/7.49 points of Armor. Every additional point of Armor provides 1% Health as EH (clever Riot design - do the math or just take my word on it) while every additional point of Health provides Armor x 1% + 1 as EH. The optimal amount of additional stats based on gold value becomes:
1/7.49 x .01 x Health = Armor x .01 + 1
Do some algebra and that becomes:
Health/Armor = 7.49 + 7.49/Armor
which is an inverse function with a limit at Y = 7.49. Here's the graph.
Based on the current gold value of Armor and Health, less than 7.49 Health for every point of Armor is never optimal.
E: Formatting :c
Okay I went through my calculations, and I found out where I fucked up, and I treated the mastery as a 10% decrease in crit multiplier instead of actual crit, heres the real graph:
yo i felt like applying some stats so I made a graph, i used decimal probabilities instead of %, but just multiply the numbers on the axes by 100, I put the 50% crit line in black
red curve is with infinity edge, blue curve is without. If anyone wants I can post how i got these numbers but i'm feeling lazy right now
https://www.desmos.com/calculator/97mdrdq2sk
EDIT: As LawL4Ever pointed out, this graph is wrong, heres the right one: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/xxjqwrqbsy, again red is with IE, Blue is without
Been there with another game, just delete your account and uninstall the game.
Try to get your schedule in order using https://habitica.com/ to help improve your shcedule and have a little fun on the other hand. Do this until you feel you have control over your life.
I had mmorpgs addiction before, if you need any help or question just send me a message.
:)
This is the one I use. Not saying its the best thing possible, but I’ve been happy with it.
And I’m not saying it’s a great system for everyone, though it certainly works well for me :)
Hype i saw this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Programmable-Buttons/dp/B00LFBEOUA it's cheaper then what it is on the amazon prime app, i'll back to this. Ty for the logitech suggestion =D
This would be suggestion numero uno. If you have some kind of physical disability that prevents you from using a normal mouse, I'd say attempt to get used to a higher dpi/sensitivity so you can keep things controlled when you need to, but have the capability to flick if you need rapid camera movement.
Get some good book classics to read. General strategy + tactics can be applied to lol as well, and it can sometimes give you a new perspective on the game or hint you towards hidden OP stuff.
Some suggestions:
SunTzu - The Art of War
Carl von Clausewitz - On War
Niccolò Machiavelli - The Prince
Plutarch - How to Profit by One's Enemies
Thucydides - History of the Peloponnesian War
Bhagavad Gita
Julius Caesar - Commentarii de Bello Gallico
The US Marine Corps' Small Wars Manual
Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" & Robert Greene's "The 33 Strategies of War" are my strategy fundamentals. All sport strats can be built off of these fundamentals. For example, Sun Tzu said "Attack where the enemy is weak and avoid where they are strong.", "Attack what the enemy is obligated to defend", "The victorious warrior wins first and then goes to war while the defeat warrior goes to war first and then seeks to win" From just these three maxims, you can derive alot of sport strategies.
Personally I'd recommend having professional/competitive experience before trying to become a coach. For example, I have experience in competitive 1v1 in niche RTSs so these niches provide competitive experience while being "easier" than lol since lol is more "complex" since you have to deal with teammates and varying champs & team compositions. By being in a professional/competitive environment, you learn more important aspects of athleticism than macro strats and whatnot.
In my mind this seems like I will compose a very unstructured comment but what I have in my head seems interesting enough that I think we should atleast entertain it.
When I read your post my mind instantly shot to a book that I read initially introduced to me by Thorin of all people. (If you don't know who he is for some reason hes a prominent esports analyst and caster. Really good content from his youtube.)
The book that he mentions is called "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield. This post is very applicable. What you experience is outlined in the book as a internal force that "keeps" you from sitting and grinding games and really strikes the nail on "Your mind is your worst enemy."
One of the things I find is often missing from people who often describe their life having no direction due to lack of motivation or maybe some other excuse is that they lack curiosity. Now that sounds really puerile often times that is what ends up driving some of the top pros.
The amount of times a pro has been asked about how to get better and said pro responding with something parallel to "I wanted to learn how too safely pressure an opponent" or "I wanted to know how I could use a players psychology against him." has been echoed too many times to count.
The book also goes deep into what methods of action this "force" takes. Maybe in which ways it manifest and most importantly how to stop it.
The video I'm talking about is here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMfGnf3xqSA&t
This comment requires a lot of context which almost kept me from making it. I know at the end you might be somewhat confused to an extent but if you read the book what I say might make a little bit more sense and seem less inconsequential.
Sun Tzu said: The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy. To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.
One resource I found to make myself better at league and the competitive mindset. The Art of War.
In fact there is a book called Search Inside Yourself that would probably do you quite a bit of good if you're having trouble with your emotions. It was written by an engineer at google, I think you'd find it helpful.
Seems like its because you're asking for advice on strategy when you want advice on tactics. Strategy is your sequence of goals that you want to achieve going into the game along with contingency plans should you fail to meet those goals.
Tactics is the moment-by-moment decision making you use to accomplish your strategy.
That being said, have you ever read The Art of War by Sun Tzu? It is a worthwhile read and will help you become a better player both tactically and strategically.
Lastly, a tip from a slightly lower elo player, its not a good idea to follow the advice of high elo players to the letter. "Meta" is actually an acronym for "Most Effective Tactics Available," and one mistake I always see that people make in which avoiding would actually improve their gameplay is attempting to implement tactics that aren't available.
I believe Morihei Ueshiba got that quote from Sun Tzu from "The Art of War." He said "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak." There are many quotes from him that can be very well applied to League.
>“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
If you're playing someone like Riven you don't need to run at them and force a fight all the time.
>"He who is prudent and lies in wait for an enemy who is not, will be victorious."
Instead you can simply stand on minions and zone him out while you last hit since you know that you can win the fight and are very intimidating he will eventually make a mistake in going for a last hit and you can heavily punish him. If he doesn't then he falls farther and farther behind in farm.
>"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, or every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle"
Knowledge is power. Knowing exactly what your champion can do, and what the enemy's can do will let you know what you should do, and what they are likely to do, and you can base your play around that. If you know that this player has been heavily aggressive all game then set up a gank on him.
>"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt."
Try not to make it obvious what you're doing. If you're going for baron while half of their team is dead don't have everyone run through the midlane minions to get there. If you have the time your support should just go ward clear with Oracles on her own before your whole team comes to do baron. Once you start something like a gank you shouldn't show your hand until you're ready to finish the fight as soon as it starts.
There are many more great quotes that can be applied to League; these are just a few of them.
That's not true at all. You can try to fix current habits "don't go in so early when X, hit siege minions a little later when Y" or you can simply make new habits and substitute them "hit siege minions once Z".
Habits are extremely powerful, and extremely difficult to modify. It is far easier to take a habit's cue and swap out the habit that it triggers instead. I'd recommend "The Power of Habit" and "The Inner Game of Tennis" for more thoughts about this if you're interested (and a little of the behavioral psychology).
On another note, labeling something a "mistake" isn't helpful. To paraphrase the author of Inner Game puts it, it's like calling an acorn a stunted stupid-looking oak tree that can't do anything right. Or to paraphrase Scott Adams, it's like mocking a baby because they can't even say words right. The fact that one is still growing doesn't make things wrong, it makes them steps in the growth process.
That quote is a paraphrasing of Sun Tzu, Chapter 4 of The Art of War:
>The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating the enemy.
This is a book that has been going around in the Valorant community and is probably worth a read. It is designed to help you make sure you are always playing the best to your ability. You can probably borrow it from your library if you need to, a lot of libraries have e-books nowadays too that you can place a hold online for.
I highly recommend getting an ergonomic mouse like this. The way you hold this mouse means you're less likely to get carpal tunnel, hand cramps, etc.
The one I linked might not be what you're looking for, but definitely recommend that shape.
I use a program called flux. In fact I got it installed at the computers in the department I work in as well. It makes your screen yellow and changes depending on your timezone. https://justgetflux.com/
At first you will hate the slight yellow tinge but after a few hours you barely notice it. When I turn it off or use someone elses computer I feel like I am blinded by the blue light. I even got a yellow filter on my phone. When I had conjuctivitis I had it set to the most yellow setting and I could literally feel my eyeballs sigh in relief.
If this is something recent it could be an eye infection - doesn't have to be obvious and pussing to have one. Just wash your hands and try not to touch your eyes. Wash your face with soap!
Hey there. First I'd like to say, it's hard to visualize what to do when you haven't seen it for yourself yet. Especially if you haven't got a lot of game knowledge yet. I could type a long paragraph about what to do, but I'll do this instead. Check out my Lolking Leona guide, it's got everything a new Leona player could possibly want. (http://www.lolking.net/guides/377887) I stream everyday and main Leona so check me out if you want to see a diamond Leona player. I answer questions and commentate so you might be interested, if not, that's cool. (https://www.twitch.tv/zackattacktwitch)
