It's actually something in Spanish. The 'Yaow" sound, is the last syllable of a word ending in -iado, but pronounced in Puerto Rican slang it sounds like -iau by cutting out the 'd' sound, which in English would be yaow.
What a section of the sample says is "Lo tengo tequia'o" (slang). Tequiado is a conjugation of the verb tequiar which means to damage or put in danger. In this context it would literally mean "I have him/you harassed", or figuratively, "I've got him/you threatened". Basically, something a big bad thug gangsta would say.
There is also something else he says before (the part that sounds like 'doublebutterfinger'), but I believe it's actually a combination of the previous sample and a new one which together say "tampoco lo tengo" which literally means "I dont have it either", but figuratively and in context means something like "it's not like I have him/you ____" where the Yaow would fill in the blank, meaning "it's not like I have him/you threatened", which would have the opposite meaning of the other sample.
It's a nice play on words.
Before buying another headphone try to play with an equalizer and boost low frequency.
> I want my eardrums to rattle
You might want that now, but it's not a really good idea... Be careful your ears are very fragile. You really don't want tinitus or hyperacusis, believe me.
I used to DJ chill trap at my local Coffee Shop. Here is a 4 hour long set of chill trap without any foul language. Hope that it works as well in your shop as it did ours!
Full version here at 56:30 https://www.mixcloud.com/inthemix_com_au/nghtmre-australian-tour-mix/
Edit: i have the song so DM me if you want it
Edit: Yes it's 320 quality
Edit: Apparently it's the demo version and NGHTMRE is going to officially release the remix this upcoming monday!
For the future: Prey Project and Find My Mac. Also, you guys don't backup anything in Dropbox?
EDIT: any ETA on that LA makeup show, by the way?

I'm really digging the trend towards juke/house going on right now. Kind of reminiscent of what my cousin tells me went on here in Chicago in the late 80s and 90s but with a much more refined sound and with a vider array of influences.
Baauer live at Hard day of the dead is one of the best i've of heard
Many would point to dubstep and say that with more and more mainstream artists like bassnectar picking up these trap characteristics, trap is destined to die a disgraceful death filled with drill noises and sirens.
and while i get their point I see (like the rest of /r/trap) beats like these from diplo and think the best is yet to come.
Already posted! // Original DL link is still up too. Also don't see what the hype is around this fix-up, the radio rip is much better (imo).
soundcloud must've given him his 3rd strike, hence why he's looking for the next soundcloud
you get popular enough, big money starts to take notice. and that means you either play by RIAA rules or you're done. this will keep happening until the industry learns to embrace it as free exposure, not stolen revenue. here's an interesting read on the legal gray area soundcloud now finds itself in
I honestly don't understand mashup people. For the most part, they never even understand music theory. Keep shit in key. Secondly, just learn production. Stop mashing. Here's a little taste of what in key sounds like.
It's usually used for business communication (my work uses it), but I think it would be really cool to get a /r/trap Slack created. I think /r/trap is definitely big enough to warrant having a bunch of different "channels" or chat room categories. You can have admins, pin posts, integrate it with a bunch of services, and way way way more. You can also "react" to messages with custom emoji (we could have RL grime faces, or DJ Snake faces, whatever...). It's multi-platform (iOS, Android, PC/Mac, Web client) too.
Take a look. I think this would be awesome. https://slack.com/is
Can someone ID the track at 7:45 from Djemba Djemba's Hard Summer 2015 set (I think I've also heard it during one of RL Grime's sets)? https://www.mixcloud.com/Traumzauberwald/djemba-djemba-live-hard-summer-2015-los-angeles-full-set/
Here is the new link for the mix. Soundcloud deleted it due to the Mazde song. Thank you guys so much for the support, I had about 4,000 plays in about 2 days before it got pulled down.

don't let me crush you but AW doesn't produce her shit whereas people like Odesza do (check the number of producers on both albums - AWs album has 4+ whereas ODESZA has 1)
More so, Mija wouldn't be famous without Skrillex, AW wouldn't be popular without a major deal, majority of people start with a mentor.
not defending CRAY fyi just showing you another side.
im listening to Bro Safari's diplo & friends mix that just came out, and he's saying UFO is his album that's coming out. and bro safari is actually from evol intent. evol intent split up into three different producers: Treasure Fingers (house), Bro Safari (moombahton/trap), and Computer Club (electro house)
edit: added link to bro safari's mix
After hours of work, i'm very happy to present to /r/trap my new mix Bangin on PLS
All feedback are welcome. Thanks a lot for all !
This is actually not console exclusive, so you make a good point. You can convert any of those files into a playable track in PhaseShift (a PC Rock Band clone) by using the tool here.
You just need to be able to connect your Rock Band controllers to your PC or use your keyboard or whatever.
Soundcloud deleted it due to the Mazde song :-(

If you'd like something a bit more original, try the Bird Peterson remix from last June (it was on ASOTrap 21, I believe) of this same track. A bit more original and interesting.
Programmer and bedroom-producer here. Although I think your vision is really cool (I would love to hack on a DAW), my intuition tells me that this wouldn't work well.
This comes from the fact that DAWs, at their core, are sequencers and they have huge enemy in latency. I think that is why most major software packages (like Ableton) are built with low-level languages like C++ and provide you with ways to monitor I/O latency and CPU usage.
Since you'll essentially be building a DAW as a web-application that will be run through the V8 engine, I feel like latency would become a major issue (especially when doing I/O with external interfaces).
Are you familiar with Max for Live? You might find it interesting. Allows you programmatically extend Ableton and create new devices and effects. However, you will notice that even when using Max, your audio latency increases.
But consider this a warning, not a shut-down. I think it could still be an interesting project to pursue.
For a couple months now, I've been putting out a trap mix series titled, Trapaholics Dirtstyle Mix Series. I always try to work with the most current and up to date tracks.
It's up to Vol 4 right now, and Vol 5 is on the way after finals.
Check it out, let me know what you think!
https://soundcloud.com/djslipcase/sets/trapaholics-dirtstyle-mix
yeah definitely I have two trap songs that would be fine as far as copyrighting goes https://soundcloud.com/parloproductions/hendrix-break-it-down-parlo (Hendrix is my buddy he wouldnt have a problem with you using the song) and https://soundcloud.com/parloproductions/insomniac-free-download
if you want bass heavy over ear exercising head phones i cant recommend MEE AF80 enough (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PHZL2L4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). 50 bucks on amazon and have used them 5-6 days a week to lift for 1.5 years
Hi, this is my first time on this subreddit. Yesterday Knife Party played at Ultra Music Fesitval Japan, they dropped a sweet sounding trap song as well. No one from the r/knifeparty subreddit has been able to figure out what song this is!
https://www.mixcloud.com/Traumzauberwald/knife-party-live-ultra-japan-2016-umf-full-set/
It's the song at 1:09:05, it drops just after Boss Mode by Knife Party. Hope someone here can figure out what song it is! Thanks in advance!
As someone who is trying to get into mixing I think this is amazing, just wondering what program or equiptment you used to make this, and any tips for someone starting out, here is a mix I recently tried to put together haha https://www.mixcloud.com/josh-sullivan4/sullys-summer-mix-16/
Bit of background: WSN are the combo of Emoh Instead and Flume (who you've definitely heard of). They both come from Sydney and Emoh Instead is one of the best technical DJs around. They SMASH it live and are a huge bucket of fun to party with.
So some guy found the song at 5:00, but Floss played the instrumental to it.... apparently diplo produced it, he needs to release the instrumental to the public...because this girl rapping kills it for me : ( https://soundcloud.com/angelhazeym/on-the-edge-angel-haze
Apparently it got removed? It was a great track, I think you can still get the DL for it by clicking 'Free Download' on the volume itself
Edit: Here is a DL to the song for those who couldn't get it.
Hey guys I was making a 20min set to Burn Residency competition on mixcloud and I realized there was no trap sets, only deep, tech, electro house, so I did a trap set to avoid the same line of music, hope you guys could check it out and help to make trap music break the barriers, thanks a lot. https://www.mixcloud.com/gabriel-almeida6/burn-residency-spain-gabriel-almeida/
Branchez first Diplo & Friends is probably my favorite mix ever. Been listening to it at least once a month since it came out.
This is my hommie Zac, from Fort Collins. We run around in the same production crew. Thanks for sharing man! https://soundcloud.com/goldyloxx https://www.facebook.com/The.CID.Initiative?fref=ts Cheers!
NEEDS MOAR REVERB and more prominent bass
srsly, but it's awesome. I have an electro / progressive rework for the Song Of Time, you might want to listen to it :)
https://soundcloud.com/moombahteam/sean-paul-get-busy-moombahteam
best I could do... I hope this works.
I also found this: https://soundcloud.com/defcodeprojects/sean-paul-get-busy-defcode but I'm not as big of a fan.
Here's a link to I think the original folder but this has some older stuff from Baauer, FoFoFadi + Some Jersey Club, and some other assorted stuff
so on some event pages it says he was playing Friday 9/2 at XS. When I tried to pay tix, it says the event didn't exist.
Then I found this: http://www.songkick.com/concerts/27103794-dj-snake-at-xs-the-nightclub-at-encore
However I just bought tix and it says just Diplo/Skrillex. So I'm confused.
Not trying to shamelessly plug myself everywhere, but I DJ pretty much exclusively futurebass, experimental trap, and jerseyclub. Look through any of these mixes tracklists and you'll find something along these artists^^^
Thank you for making such a great mix!
https://www.mixcloud.com/darumadirect/daruma-mix-001-andrew-luce/
and here's a link to Andrew Luce's mix on mixcloud (since, as he said, the previously linked soundcloud version of it was removed)
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23430/x-lossless-decoder
XLD is a program for mac that lets you transcode files easily. If you are concerned about space, I would suggest MP3 v0 VBR-- comparable quality to the 320 CBR but decently smaller.
ha ya we got merch coming and that big single HELICOPTER that we previewed here: https://instagram.com/p/yfhIW-v4h8/?modal=true
merch will be here by time of ULTRA
and the EP is nuts. we got hitss. Spring Break was thrown out as a freebee to get word out and let people have a song to have fun to while going to Panama City / Cancun / etc.
I am always glad to hear new music; the response this was getting made me really want to hear it. I may just give in and stream it. I'm too lazy to drag the headphones out right now and this place closes in about 35 minutes.
Can music be downloaded from bandcamp? I understand you don't want anyone with a local copy re-uploading claiming it was their own. I may just have to stream it later. I have an old old iPod that I ~~hacked~~ installed Rockbox onto that is the best sounding audio player I have ever heard, especially with a pair of really high quality in-ear monitors, so I always try to get a downloaded copy. Nothing quite replicates the sound except a high end component system.
/gearnerd electronic music aficionado
Thank you so much for your response!
Yeah, I though that RL Grime would fit well, too, esp. since his experiments with DnB on the last album. I'll try experimenting with this idea.
I got 2 other nice mixes on the same account (they're both trap-based):
https://www.mixcloud.com/gangsterdam/bad-bad-habit/ - more chill trap
https://www.mixcloud.com/gangsterdam/don-stas-killah/ - more banging trap (with some heavier stuff towards the end)
Thank god for Australian VPNs, haha Alison Wonderland - U Don't Know Don't tell anyone who you got it from, your not suppose to have this yet :)
Double amen. Saw him in Berlin last Thursday touring for his BNR Anniversary tour. Modeselektor was a disappointment, but Noize just killed it!
If anyone is interested, I made a little tribute mix to both of them. Just plugging it since it seems relevant.
Appreciate the love man! Just a passionate DJ out here making things for my sets though. There are a bunch of super talented artists out there doing way more than making some mashups.
Fave similar edit dudes - Celo, Slick, BMAR and a bunch on the come up.
Fave underrated producers - RemK, SØMETHING, LYNY to name a couple.
Interesting! That gives me a lot of ideas, thanks. Definitely been locked in a "synthesis only" mode of late.
Haven't bought it but something like this looks interesting http://www.amazon.com/Welshs-Synthesizer-Cookbook-Vol-Harmonic/dp/B003XRZST0/ref=pd_sim_14_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=081M09FYY37VWBW04TFM
i wanted really good headphones with really good reviews and a very strong casing. I got V-moda crossfade m-100s, $299, because they have a really, really strong headband and monitor casings and are decently comfortable. They also boast incredibly good audio quality. Sometimes at night i get a little blazed and lay in bed with my eyes closed and put the volume at medium, and play some Mura Masa or Mr. Carmack, like his Aerosol Can remix, and you can hear all the details and little clicks and clacks. The thing is, these are such good headphones, that any song with a bitrate under 128kbps is gonna sound pretty shitty. I like them a lot, though. they can withstand all kinds of wear and tear. they make any kind of music sound really good as long as it's 128 or higher. they have a pretty good warranty, too.
Fii0 series are what most people get for general purpose amp/dac combos. I would suggest to you to get an amp that has a built in DAC within it. The fiio e07k is what i used when I was using my laptop.
Hey guys,
Neoteric from Main Course here. Thanks for sharing this record! SNACKS is a series of releases our label does - single tracks..

I thought it was supposed to be Sliink as well. I've listen to this mix 1000 times. Neeeeed that mumford and sons - little lion man song, can't find it anywhere. Any clues?

Ever since Jack Ü teased the song I wanted to hear it..and then they released some shitty different version. Thank you Tisoki
There was a link to a rip that was up a couple week ago...but looks like it's deleted.
This still looks like it's good to go...for now. 👍
I made this a few months ago: https://www.mixcloud.com/sadamune/trap-mix-volume-3-rap/
If you don't like the mix itself just checkout the individual songs as almost all of them fall into that category, looking back now thought I would definitely have to add Attak by Rustie ft Danny Brown
At least rateyourmusic classifies hypnagogic pop as different genre altho they are quite similar https://rateyourmusic.com/genre/Hypnagogic+Pop/ I think ive heard one or two albums from blank banshee but cant remember what it's like, will listen to again + unheard discography :p
I really didn't expect this to get upvoted and listened to like it has. So, to make up for my horribly unfinished song and non-OG idea: Here's a link to my sample pack
Thanks for listening and sorry for your ears <3
Anyone know if this Joker song has been released at all? Not sure if he said it was unreleased, or if I just haven't heard it yet, but I can't find it anywhere.
oh my b, we changed our name, it's under our new URL https://www.mixcloud.com/MATICLA/2001-a-trap-odyssey/

made a trap mix for a job that someone somehow found and posted on here haha.
I'm pretty proud of it, it has a bunch of unreleased shit, is only 30 minutes, check it out and let me know what you think!

i'm playing in Santa Cruz and San Francisco next month. http://www.songkick.com/artists/7779924-andrew-luce
that's a great question, and i think it varies from person to person. it takes a long, long time to be able to produce something good. the best advice i can give would be to not take everything in at once. get a DAW that works for you and just stay within that without any external plugins or sound. slowly expand, because there is a massive world of stuff out there and trying to absorb it all at once is too much (at least for me)
You can actually play these songs on the computer using PhaseShift (a PC Rock Band clone) and then use the tool here to convert my file to the proper format.
Check this turkish instrumental: http://www.beatport.com/track/cassette-original-mix/345220 And this aswell: https://soundcloud.com/tektosagrecords/grup-ses-beats-dim-dim-viy-viy
Try producing stuff like this with Vigen's and Gogoosh's songs. I would fuck with that hard.
Here is a link to the sampler: https://soundcloud.com/statiklink/dirty-duck-audio-presents-100-hrtz-by-statik-link-the-sampler
It's also available on Beatport here: http://www.beatport.com/release/100-hrtz/1366355
Thanks for checking it out!
I can't seem to find this version on Soundcloud, only remixes of it. Kaskade & Deadmau5 - Move For Me (GTA Remix) (hopefully I'm not breaking any rules with that link)
Mixcloud has almost every diplo & friends mix. That would probably be your best source.
Here's Ricky Remedy's
Made this mix in a couple hours, so its not as perfect as I'd like. I hope you like it anyways!
Set with tracklist can be found on mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/DEFF_STVR/discovery-project-edc-las-vegas-2015/
like /u/exizt , I'm going to shamelessly plug in my newest mix(Trap/Electro House/Hip-Hop) and my mixcloud (my first mix, a workout mix, a chill mix, and then my newest one)
Shameless plug of my two latest mixes:
Hey! What's up?
This is probably my favourite.
Theres a few other that I'd link but Mixcloud is blocked at my school. You can find them on my page though, they should be tagged or at least have the genre in the title. Hope you enjoy!
anyone know the name of the tune he did that has a sample that says "oh i think they like me"? it was his final song at the bill graham for pretty lights this year.
edit: found it https://soundcloud.com/miloandotis/goin-down-milo-otis
I recommend JetAudio if you dont mind using APKs (its not free)
JetAudio Music Player Plus v5.3.0
It has 3 EQ programs within it. Im pretty sure it'll work great with "dance" or "rap" & on the plus side this program has a limiter so no matter how loud a song, it wont screetch :)
Idk if this is where you're trying to head but dj solo's tetranomicon will for sure leave you with some ghosts: https://hearthis.at/djsoloisawesome/tetranomicon/
All of the suggestions in my comment are Bluetooth!
The Beats Solo 3 looks like it is on sale right now on Amazon for $120 (normally $200). If you don’t mind paying a little more, Sony XM3 is $170 and would be a much better deal.
Bose is also trying to clear out their previous stock on the Soundsport Wireless for $90 and would also be a huge step up over the Beats Solo 3: https://www.amazon.com/Bose-SoundSport-Wireless-Headphones-761529-0010/dp/B01L7PSJFO/.
Frankly, for a budget of $120 it might be hard to find a good solution without some compromises, but I think think the Soundsport Wireless would probably fit what you’re looking for overall, and you’ll be very happy with how it sounds. :)

ATH-M50x is a good pair of headphones. It's a solid entry level audiophile headphone and also you can grab this BoomPro mic and tweak it for the ATH-M50x, one of the big benefits of ATH is that you can remove the cable easily.
Very late to this, but I am literally in the VERY beginning stages of wanting to do this as a hobby. I've always felt I had a decent ear for music, and constructing playlists, but I figured I could have more freedom as far as creativity is concerned by learning to dj. Eventually would love to learn to produce my own beats, but definitely want to spend a while learning how to mix, and getting familiar with beat matching, etc. I know it's a super long road, but this was truly inspiring to read! I've been in desperate need of a hobby/passion that I can actually look forward to getting into after I leave my desk job and after lurking on this sub all through college, I feel that I should have started this like...yesterday. I probably will never open up for a big artist, but would love to play to groups of friends when I'm on vacation, and post mixes. Would love to hear what your future plans are, and do you eventually plan on getting into a software like Abelton with a super steep learning curve, but tons of freedom. Any equipment/accessories that I should look into, or should I be good with just this and my laptop to start? Excited to finally get into this and eventually share some mixes with my friends.
These are a good middle ground for if you're not trying to break the bank, but also retain great audio quality. I can't go to a show without these anymore, and trust me when I say they don't degrade the quality of the show at all. Actually improves it imo because I hate having my ears blown out.
Yup! I'd recommend this over everything else based on its low price per serving and its similarity in effects to 5hourenergy etc. I actually feel it makes me less jittery than 5hour.
https://www.amazon.com/100-Energy-Shots-30-Servings/dp/B00PEQZXSY
If your headphones aren't powered, chances are that the device you are listening on isn't putting out enough power to give you heavy bass (especially if it's a phone or laptop). I also thought my headphones sounded completely flat until I plugged them into a system that could provide the proper output. Maybe think about getting an inexpensive amplifier similar to https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01CPUVPEM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to see if that makes a difference.
I use Audio Technica ATH-M50Xs. Get them from Guitar Center. They do price matching (just find a cheap pair on Amazon, Ebay etc) and a one year full replacement warranty. My headphones "break" once a year so I've had a pair for 4 years and only paid once.
Get the HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset.
It's a re-branded Takstar Pro80 with a mic attachment, which has had some very favorable reviews from some serious audiophiles. For under a hundred bucks, the sound quality and build quality are unparalelled IMO.
They are V-shaped headphones which basically means the frequencies are slightly boosted in the low end and high end- this is the sort of frequency response that Beats headphones are famous for. That said, these are way better than Beats in every way.
They're also closed headphones, which means they lock in and keep out sound- which is what you want for a bassy pair of cans.
Basically, they're decently bassy, cheap, and well-built. They aren't the bassiest headphones made (probably not even the bassiest under $100) but as far as sub-$100 headphones goes these are the best deal you'll get, speaking overall.
Bass headphones are kind of a ruse though. If you want to get serious about bass get a subwoofer or a subpac. Headphones just can't replicate that.
These plus a good amp are the best bass combination I have ever heard. These things are seriously powerful. This isn't some weird motor vibration bass like crushers, this is raw bass coming from a dedicated driver for low frequencies. Insane bass
https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50x-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00HVLUR86
Those are some of the most highly regarded headphones for your price range. I own a pair and love them, a little tight at first but they break in
I got these best headphones i've ever bought. Bought them on sale for 150
I've had a pair of these Shure 215 for 5+ years. I wear them daily on my commute to work and in the gym, they are very comfortable, and sound great.
https://www.amazon.com/Bluedio-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headphones-Microphone/dp/B00Q2VPI8A
Absolutely love these, i know these aren't anywhere in the same league as some listed in the thread but I highly recommended these for anyone looking for some ridiculous bass for around ~$25.00.
Light weight and so far sweat proof so great for the gym too(I sweat a ton).
Wireless but has a port with included wire for wired preference.
40 hour battery life.
I just use foam earplugs that I get from work but I always see people saying good things about Etymotic earplugs
For listening to music, the M50x is pretty, pretty darn flat to the point that your average listener will really enjoy listening to the music. However, I think it's worth pointing out that they aren't truly flat, there is a little bit of a bass boost. But I think that's actually what you want if you're just listening to music. If you're looking to go into production, you'd want to look into the ATH-M70x, which is truly flat. The thing is though a lot of people report the M70x sound kind of tinny, which is because they're actually flat. The M50x sounds better listening to music because there's that subtle bass boost you're used to when listening to music. That being said, I have the M50x and I love it.
tl;dr M50x if you want to listen to music, M70x if you want to produce music as well.
I love my ATH-M50x headphones, but I agree, they do get uncomfortable after a few hours. I ended up buying these replacement ear pads and now my headphones are perfect, I can wear them all day super comfortably. And the quality is fantastic!
