> I'm out close to $100 for the cleaning expenses
Invest once, never pay any "cleaning expenses" again.
PS: I use diluted Simple Green as a cleaning solution.
Its a physiological thing. If Uber added tipping pax would think about the cost of the ride more. By automating the transaction people almost feel like they didn't pay anything at all. By adding tips people are reminded that there is a cost associated with the ride. In his book Predictably Irrational, Dan Ariely, did an experiment showing how removing any physical activity from the transaction increases what a customer will spend.
Uber won't tell you which pax reported, and without that info, your dashcam recording is worthless for incidents like these. No call center plebe is going to watch 40 hours of footage proving you wore a mask for every pax in the past week.
That said, you absolutely need a dash cam that records both forward traffic and inside the cabin. If there's ever a serious incident with a pax in your car (I.e. Something that involves police, not just an anon report like the mask thing), you don't want it to be your word against theirs. I had a woman physically attack me when I declined her ride because she wanted me to take her through the McDonald's drive thru. I know for sure the Uber safety team actually watched THAT footage because the first submission I made they said wouldn't play, and they asked me to upload it to Google drive instead and when I did, they told me it was locked and I needed to change the setting so they could view it.
As for notification, if your state requires two party consent, get some window decals like these. I have similar ones on my car and I never mention the cam unless someone asks, and in 3k rides only like 2 people ever have.
> He threw water on my car and followed me and kept trying to hit my car with his
He committed a felony. See: California Vehicle code 23110 b.
If only you had a dash camera that captured his plates.
> Anyone else experiences this type of hostility when driving?
All the time, that's why if Mr. D-Bag in his lifted pickup truck starts to tailgate me, I hit the brakes. They quickly back off and go around.
Advice? Don't drive after 10pm. Dash cam... I'm really happy with this one - Transcend 520 drive pro
I'm 6'1, 215 lbs and I was almost assaulted by a very big drunk who was put in my car by his friend's. After 15min he thought I had kidnapped him.
Yeah, they should be required for our protection. I've been using the transcend 520, works great inside and out. Has infrared lights for night vision inside - Transcend 520 drive pro
I hope others here appreciate your openness about this as well.
>Can I just pull over and tell the pax to get out, and end the ride there?
Yes. Absolutely. Anytime you feel unsafe that's pretty much exactly what you should do.
>Is there even a point in reporting it to Uber (or Lyft)?
Yes, so they won't repeat the behavior with another driver.
>I have some martial arts training but I'm not sure how I'd do if things went badly.
Keep some pepper spray nearby . I keep mine in the door pocket by my left leg. I would actually recommend pepper gel because it does not disperse as much in a vehicle - less chance of you affecting yourself.
Be aware of your pax. Always keep your doors locked until you have visually sized up your pax - especially important at night. If they don't seem right (staggering, holding a red Solo cup, etc ) - just drive away and cancel.
Get the dashcam sooner rather than later and make sure it is one that records the inside as well. Here is the one that I use. Don't try to hide the dashcam - having it there will stop a lot of bad behaviors just by being seen.
Consider not driving late nights and only doing the business / dinner crowd instead.
Something to consider - If you have bad anxiety issues then Uber may not be the right job for you. You have to deal with a lot of different types of people and enough of them are going to act out badly that this could cause things to go south in so many ways. You might consider trying a different line of work - something less stressful.
Most dash cams have no location tracking. And almost all dashcams run off of a usb cable, which you can unplug at will to switch the recording off completely. Or use an inline switch like thus one.
And most importantly, this data is only for your use and in your hands. Uber nor lyft has access to it. Does not have to go to the cloud or anything. It's all in the SD card, and no one can force you to give it up to be used against you.
So none of your worries against using a dashcam are valid.
Sorry to hear this! I had 3 bachelorette parties vomit in a 7 day span. (2 of them were back to back!) Had to take a day off after the really bad one after spending hours cleaning it and receiving my first 2 star rating cause people don’t want to be accountable for their actions.
Try submitting multiple “passenger made a mess” tickets till they finally respond. I had my $80 and $150 credit in a few hours. (Be sure to submit the photos, and create your own cleaning invoice if you want the max amount if it’s borderline)
Saying
> I have nothing against female drivers
is nothing but empty words when you previously said
> most women are bad drivers in general
You tried to perpetuate a nasty (and as I linked above, backward) stereotype that discourages women from being taken seriously as drivers.
Your anecdotal evidence doesn't matter when a quick Google search would have shown that you're wrong; your feelings don't trump facts. If it helps, you're probably falling victim to a mistake we all make: only <em>noticing and remembering</em> instances (e.g. female drivers behaving badly) that back up your existing opinion.
My Prius has a 850lbs passenger+cargo capacity and 850lbs seems to be fairly standard for sedans so don't feel bad for asking them to get another UberX for 2 or one of them or an UberXL for all 4 of them since your car simply can't carry them all at once while SUVs generally can carry more weight.
>The Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, and Mazda6 midsized sedans, for example, all have a combined load capacity of 850 lbs. for passengers and cargo. That means that four 195-lb. passengers, which is about average for an American male according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), would be close to maxing out any of those sedans’ capacities as soon as they got in. Throw in another 70 pounds for luggage, gear, or whatever else they want to bring along and all three cars would be at their maximum load. Keep in mind that these are all five-passenger vehicles. Squeeze in one more average guy and the car would not only cease to be a pleasant place to be, but it would be way past its limit without any cargo.
>Manufacturers determine that capacity based on a number of factors, from tires and suspension to how the vehicle will handle in an emergency maneuver under load. And with increased focus on fuel economy, those load limits may be coming down as carmakers try and reduce vehicle weight wherever possible to save fuel.
i bought 2 g1wh's one hanging off my rear view mirror facing forward and one in my rear glass facing out
i wouldnt want to have to explain to a passenger why they are being recorded so i avoided a front and rear facing camera
i copy pasted what i said in another thread
get the g1wh
if you dont mind waiting for shipping the cheapest place to get them is from gearbest.com
http://www.gearbest.com/car-dvr/pp_16927.html use the code ozcardvr and the camera becomes 39.99
if you dont have a micro sd card buy it from them as well
if you scroll down on the g1wh main page you will see the "buy together and save" buy the 32gb sd card and the rear view mirror mount for alot cheaper
for 118.42 shipped i got 2 dash cams 2 32gb video cards and 1 rear view mirror mount. i mounted one camera in the front and one in the back looking out the back window
the front camera can be swiveled to face inside the car anytime you want incase of emergency
it took them almost 3 weeks to get me the camera but its the bottom line cheapest place ever and its not a knock off but it ships from china
you can order them from amazon it will cost more but you will get them shipped faster
While I agree that rates should be going up, gas prices isn't the best platform to base that argument. Over the last three months gas prices have been on a steep decline and have remained relatively flat over the last 12 months. Even over the last two years there has only been a net increase of about ten cents per gallon.
Plastic shield is just too hot in the summer. I have this and this. Only issues I have are with solo female riders who think the cage is some kind of kidnapping tool, and the occasional stoner who is worried I am an undercover or off duty cop. I get it to an extent, but come the fuck on. 1800 rides. 4.97. Nice car.
Always *always* contact Uber/lyft if you have an issue with a passenger. They usually believe the first person to contact them.
Also, I got this for my dash cam and I love it! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0742J69SQ/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o07\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For this year, I'm at 2903 total miles and 1257 paid miles. That's 57% dead head.
I've been trying harder to not drive any miles that aren't paid, so it's dropped from 71% (January), 60%, and for March, 49%. Very pleased with that.
I have the Vantrue Pro N2 which records forward and cabin, They now have a N4 version that has a rear window camera. I would also suggest getting the hardwire kit so that it works even in parking mode with motion sensor and G shock detection in case someone bumps into your car. You can put up to a 256GB card.
Vantrue N4 Pro If you scroll down you will also see the card and hard wire kit you can add.
I have mine registered with Uber. I also send a message saved as a keyboard shortcut that I send after I accept a ride. It tells them I'll be there as soon as traffic allows, mask up, I have a cam in the car, and if they want they can turn on a recording device too.
I've had zero complaints about there being a camera and I've had no reason to save any of the recordings. Of course I drive weekday mornings only.
I have the Vantrue N2 Pro. I'm happy with it except for some reason it doesn't get a GPS lock, but I don't care enough about that to try to replace it.
I was hoping drivers would give me the low down on if things like this are great and fast to install or if they make drivers mad: mifold Grab-and-Go Car Booster Seat, Denim Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H5VJKHA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NqlbCb2KYA7BX
The reviews on Amazon don’t talk about impact to uber experience.
> Where would I be able to purchase that for my own personal protection?
Amazon - get the gel instead of the spray because that has less less splash-back inside a vehicle. I use this stuff
It will also dye their face red and so will fuck up your seats especially if they're cloth but that just means I'm not going to deploy it unless I really need it.

Uber Partner app can see and hear everything on your phone and around it (through the vid cam) if they want it to.
It is a movable sizable floating timer. You can customize the length. So when I arrive, I tap it and it starts counting down. I give an extra 30 seconds to make sure I get credit before canceling. You can even have it auto text a message to your pax when you start it.

I thought so too until I read this comment: the potential is that you can guarantee drivers a steady flow of jobs: if someone doesn't have any passengers wanting a ride, they could be given a take-out delivery job.
Get some of this: Ozium-Air Sanitizer You may not smoke, but plenty of smelly people will enter your car.(smokers, sweaty folk, workers, farmers, college kids who haven't learned how to shower yet, or use too much perfume) a quick half spray of this makes everything disappear, it's amazing stuff I bought it on a whim for my new apartment, now it stays in the car.
I also bought a bulk bag of lifesaver breath mints(individually wrapped) and other hard candies. As well as small 8oz water bottles(super cheap, when you by a case)
I assume this is perfectly possible. I assume GMaps and Waze on iPhone both have API/frameworks that other apps would be able to talk to them with. Especially in iOS 8 seeing as they've added a lot of ability for apps to "talk" to each other via extensions and such. Seems like the capability for auto port is there it's just getting it done
EDIT: Looks like Waze offers this type of functionality on iOS already https://www.waze.com/about/dev I'm sure GMaps does too.
This stuff is amazing! Depending on how dirty they are, might take multiple applications.
Something isn't making sense.
This is your dashcam? (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZRYSM4Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_HPBE6P0AK42155SQ0WP2)
The dashcam connects to your phone via WiFi and the Nexar AI app. You're telling me it has your phone automatically upload all dashcam footage (regardless if it's marked as an important driving event or not) to the cloud via mobile data connection?
So right now, you're able to go into the cloud and look back at all videos you've ever recorded from months ago?
I use a polycarbonate rideshare partition so that I do not have to worry about unruly passengers (polycarbonate is strong, they could hit it with a hammer and it would not break).
I used to work in an ER, I'll prob grab some of these "emesis" bags from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XJQN6VJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_QTKK6S5QWEE56A8D07EX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And add a note: feeling nauseous, grab a bag =)
1 Uber driver told me, when anyone messed up in his car, he gave them an option of paying $150 via cash app or venmo, which was half of Uber fees, said he would get more. I don't care if it's a $1000, lol, I hope it doesn't happen to me.
Cool, took down notes about surge/low rated!

The car facing side should be a hook for the vents with springs. Anything else will make you regret it for the rest of your life.
The middle is typically a ball joint to give you viewing angles. Some are better than others, slightly.
The phone facing side depends on your preference. A simple spring clamp works well. Some have buttons for quick hold and quick release. Magnetic also but you typically need a magnetic case.
Something similar to this but not the same one, a slightly more expensive $20 mount.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01780KZMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_E48C9XG8Z8034T93XJ25
I've had it since before Uber though. It's fixed so that's my only gripe with it, maybe something that has multiple positions or a flexible neck would work better for me personally.
Love magnetic mounts, never had an issue with it. Phone has never fallen off, can turn phone whichever way I want it. This doesn't work if you have a pop up grip on your phone, but if that's the case maybe keep a spare phone case with the magnetic bit for when driving.
This is the seat cover that I’ve had for a couple years. It is very durable and waterproof. Customers have even complemented it. I spent a little more for this one because it is compatible with the middle seat having a shoulder strap and unzips in the middle.
Before that, I had a cheap neoprene car seat that I got for like 20 bucks at Target. I still have that as my backup (hidden in trunk with spare tire) if I need to swap it out without needing to end my nights driving.
Get barf bags from Amazon, saved me from 2 pukers last week. Also I leave the radio off unless they want it on so I can listen to them breathing and other sounds if they start having a hard time it's barf bag time.

I have one from Amazon. I custom fit some metal brackets for it so it won't rattle or be torn off easily. I added foam along the edges. Pax say they love it - so professional looking. I make sure I cleN off fingerprints. Some pax dont even notice it. I call it a sneeze guard but it's good for deflecting vomit too and might deter a car jacker. . .

If you like that, there are stiff long gooseneck holders that can be directly mounted to the side of the seat and therefore slide with it. Or you can mount it on the screw that mounts the seat.

This is the one I use since I'm driving an SUV:
They also have ones with shorter necks and magnetic mounts.
While renting a '20 Corolla last fall, a Scoshe magnet vent mount...

..I've been using in various cars for several years on the left air vent almost worked except on the harshest speed bumps. If one added a half inch thick magnet it would do the trick.
They sell ones that stick out further like this model that should give enough space to clear the fatter dash pad:

I bought a blackvue 650. It was expensive. It's a great great camera. A few months ago I was given tje opportunity to review a new brand, I received the camera for free, I liked it so much I now use it instead of my 3x more expensive blackvue. This is it... But there are others that are better the one I got. I’ve never had to submit anything to Uber.
You can search on "dual USB car charger" on Amazon and find a bunch. This is the one that I would probably buy today: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-PowerDrive-iPhone-Galaxy/dp/B00VH84L5E/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1525958565&sr=8-6&keywords=dual+usb+car+charger I put my cables that run from a socket that is in my arm rest and run the cables to the back seat area and stick them in a pocket behind the front passenger seat so they are a little out of the way. No one can just walk away with the charger or cables that way. I think this would be a problem for a lot of drivers though. Asshole PAX will no doubt steal. I have only had to purchase a charger or cables once though since 2015.
I use a VanTrue N2 Pro. It’s got dual front and rear cameras. Keep in mind only the front is infrared and not the rear. That means at night you’re not going to be able to record the interior well unless you turn on the lights.
I mostly needed one for peace of mind and for the front driving. It’s $150 on Amazon but I was able to snag it on a Daily Deal for $100.

GetUpside is a pretty good app to save gas on. I can usually get $0.15 to $0.20/per gallon off depending on which station I use. Then you can use your cash back on gift cards to Amazon or a ton of other places.

I also highly recommend a flash light with a strobe function and a strong magnet. It's highly useful for:
Something like these:

if it's one pax in the back, slightly crack rear window on opposite side to draw air away from both of you and out of the car. Make sure you are not forcing AC to draw from inside the car and recirculate. Make it draw from outside - ya, it'll be fractionally less cool but it's fresh air.
If all rear seats are full, crack front passenger side window to draw all air in the car away from you and them and out.
Nobody sits up front. period. full stop.
If you are HIGH RISK, you might consider investing in a HEPA and UV filter and a inverter so you can run a room filter in the car.
I have a germ guardian and a small inverter sitting on my center console and use bungee cords to keep it in place but at the end of the shift, I pull it out and take it inside. I also have one of those plexi screens and a voodoo doll blessed by an authentic tarot card, palm reader and voodoo priestess from little havana. SHe gave me some 'special' incense to burn too - washes away bad spirits, bad juju and viruses.
I'm all set.

Seriously tho - a good hepa filter may give you and your pax a little extra peace of mind.
I got sick of it too and just got these. One magnet for each back door this way they see it before they even get in and you don't have to say anything.
For android auto, install a swipe launcher (I use CM Swipe) and you can get into apps while android auto is running. I haven't tested this with uber, but it'll at least break you out of the android auto lock screen and let you interact with things. Your AA continues working fine in the background.
I LOVE Lux.

I bought these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JNQTHBL they work extremely well and let you make better use of the space. I've gone through multiple variations of crates and other storage binn/totes before I found those.
If you want 3 channels, the Vantrue N4 is also a good deal. They also have a 2 channel (front, inside), which is the one I use.

You're an idiot. Using a "portable urinal" device, made specifically for pissing while traveling or when no restroom is available (as is the case basically anytime after 9PM in the entire city of Boston, where I drive). Every driver should have one, if for nothing else, emergency situations. Go chug a bottle of piss and eat a shit sandwich 🖕
>Avoid blue & red lights.
can confirm. got a ticket + court date for running a blue uber sign on my dash in Miami-Dade, Florida . most states have code that prohibits red and blue lights for the fear that they can be misconstrued as a police/emergency vehicle and create confusion.
The cops obviously know you are not trying to impersonate a LEO with a blue Uber sign but regardless - if they pull you over for something else, like speeding - don't be surprised if you get a ticket for the light.
This is one with white LED's.
Or try Ebay for Uber drivers selling their kit.

If you don't plan to use the front seat covers, I've found just the back seat covers at some AutoZone locations in the past (you might need to check 2-3 locations to find them). I think the back seat covers were only $50-60.
I've used these for a few years now (replaced a few times) and very satisfied overall. I did cut it loose a bit around the seat belt latches so they wouldn't keep getting covered up as people come and go. Also, if you have to fold a seat down to accommodate large items in the trunk (e.g., golf clubs, skis, etc), make sure you slide the seat cover off of the headrest first so it doesn't stretch too much (potentially ripping it).
Look on Amazon. Vantrue is quite popular, but really you want anything that has a good video screen, that way people inside the car can clearly see they're being watched.
Here's a cheap one for 40. https://www.amazon.com/Dashcams-Infrared-Recorder-Detection-G-Sensor/dp/B0B2K4PG6W/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3IQMYP0309CI&keywords=dual+dashcam&qid=1667699737&sprefix=dual+dashcam%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-3
Basically, a user launching the app and looking at availability is likely an "eyeball" (term from this article).
appreciate the honest and detailed reply.
so my read is:
Food was delayed - not your fault but customer POV is what it is. They see long delivery time and you turn up on a bike instead of a corvette (shame on you) and they attribute the slow delivery to the bike.
Suggest get a front basket (not a wicker thing, a proper metal basket) for the dranks. Keep the hot food together, get a thermal cover and maybe even a USB battery powered heater they have units that run off a USB batt for 20 bucks that should keep the temps under the cover from falling too low too fast but also: wrap the milk drate in plastic saran wrap to make it a little more air resistant and use bungee cords to keep the cover tight
As long as you are not advertising a higher service level (car delivery) than you are actually providing, you shouldn't have a problem with Uber and that is what really matters when you boil it down.
You will always have fuckface customers. Just laugh and tell them to have a nice night. We all come on here and vent/ Sorry I put it on you.
tl;dr all you can do is the best you can do. some customers (like this one) are dicks.
This is the one I've used as my interior camera for the past two years or so. It's not stupendous video quality, but definitely decent enough for interior use. But even the dirt cheap ones from Walmart will do the job temporarily if you want to save up for something nicer. At the end of the day it's for security and liability purposes, not for release in IMAX theaters.
It takes me like 30 secs as well, I don't do it after every rude, but when I get gas or stop for anything. I also run this one in my personal truck, as it's pretty old and doesn't have any modern features, 1994 F-150.

Sorry it looks lime an advertisement, it's what happens when you try to share a link from Amazon for a product that you bought.
But yea, mine has a forward, inner comment and rear facing cams. The driver facing cam also helps if ever at a stop sign and an accident that the driver loomed left and right before going, especially if it's a 4-way stop and someone doesn't stop.

I personally have this: Vantrue N2 Pro
Covers the front and interior and video quality is great. You can either charge it with a normal micro USB cable or hardwire it to the battery; I have it hardwired
Dashcams are definitely one of the things you hope you never have to use, but if and when something does happen, it's best to have it than not to have it
From : https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/flu/expert-answers/infectious-disease/faq-20057907
Cold and flu virus-laden droplets may remain infectious for several hours, depending on where they fall. Viruses generally remain active longer on stainless steel, plastic and similar hard surfaces than on fabric and other soft surfaces. Other factors, such as the amount of virus deposited on a surface and the temperature and humidity of the environment, also determine how long cold and flu viruses stay active outside the body.
It's possible to catch the flu or a cold after handling an object an infected person sneezed or coughed on a few moments ago. But personal contact with an infected person — such as a handshake or breathing in droplets from a cough or sneeze — is the most common way these viruses spread.
The best way to avoid becoming infected with a cold or flu virus is to wash your hands frequently with soap and water or with an alcohol-based sanitizer. Also avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes or biting your nails. Most importantly — get a flu vaccine every year.
Like others have said, sounds like carpal tunnel or a pinched nerve. Get some hand exercisers and use them whenever you have a free minute. I had what I believe was carpal tunnel after years of stocking shelves and after buying and using a variety of grip strengthers my hand only goes numb similar to yours once in a blue moon. When that happens I use the one I keep in my car to get the blood flowing.
This is the one I keep in the car
You can also buy them individually.
Only 1 available in "open box" condition. Similar ones can be found for around the same price though.
For the exterior I use a Pruveeo F5, but those don't seem to be available anymore, at least on Amazon. That was about $40 when I originally got it.
Consider thigh support and lumbar support separate issues.
I'm using an air bag style lumbar cushion that I picked up on Amazon. Doesn't look like much but I've been very satisfied with it.
Simplest out of the way install is a long Mini-USB cable to your accessory, routed around the weather stripping. That's all you really need for it. You could get the GPS mount if you want, but that's only if you need your location and speed burned into the video.
Actually, the newer Vantrue N2S is probably a better deal. It comes with a GPS mount, and uses the more common USB-C, and the Micro SD card is more accessible.
You'll want a couple 256GB Micro SD cards, so you can swap them out.
I also picked up one of these...
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Portable-Reader-RS-MMC-Micro/dp/B006T9B6R2
This way, I could transfer the card contents to my hard drive without having to bring in the camera.
I know it seems like a lot to set up, but once you have your system down, it's really pretty easy to do. I haven't driven Uber since lockdowns started, but I still keep my camera going. I no longer save all my video since I'm not rideshare driving, but it's still nice to have a camera incase something happens.

This is the replacement filter. The purifier housing is too big for the car and needs an inverter. I just tape a computer fan on it and close the other end. I also need a knob to control the fan speed because it's too loud. This brand is sold in Lowes or Home Depot.
Use this.
It has held my dashcam in every tip ranging from “colder than a witch’s titty in a brass bra” to “gusts of lead and hellfire are blowing down on the city” and never moved a millimeter.
This is the model I use and it’s amazing.
Rear cam as far as interior cam? Yes I wouldn't drive without one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B27ZF5N3 this is an excellent camera, very user friendly. I have a 40% off code I can give you if interested
There's a new brand coxpal, they have a 3 cam set up. I have their original version, 2 camera (interior and front-facing) it's a great camera, I like it better than my 600 dollar blackvue. There's a $20 off deal right now plus I have various code for 40% off. I can dm it to you of your interested. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B27ZF5N3
I highly recommend this brand.
I pop into my back seat and use a ladyjane, so I dont have to waste time tracking down a public restroom at night. You can get them on amazon ladyjane
I consistently got few Riders to tip me, but when they did, they were generous.
Without doing much research I seem to receive only 10% of my Fares collected (not including Promotions).
I started to attribute my low tip rate to the fact that I am chatty about being retired and in an EV, and I started to conclude that Riders felt that I "did not need a tip!"
So I wanted to disabuse them of that notion and purchased one of these Placards on Amazon, to attach to the back of the front passenger seat to let them know I appreciate tips and I am starting to see my tip rate go up:

Open the windows and drive a few blocks, then roll the windows up and crank either the a/c or the heat (depending on time of year) with recirculation OFF. This will push fresh air into the cabin and force the old air out.
And then if it's been a week or so, I change my air freshener. I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KP5PQRX?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_MK0WQAE7SC2M4JK6MRQR
I get at least 1-2 "Wow, it smells good in here" comments per day with those.
Not a short term fix, but it will keep your car from collecting those odors over time: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZTJPXJM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I use two of them in my van...it absorbs all the smells...even the smell of scented odor eaters.
Unbolt the chair and remove it completely from the car.
Then, heavily coat the area in baking soda, then splash distilled vinegar onto it and let that sit. Shop vac that out after like 30 minutes (I think you can rent shop vacs from home depot).
Also, products exist to get rid of animal stench. That might. Nature's Miracle has always worked well for me. A couple soaks/vacuums of this stuff might be it.
Not car.. but I got this for the bathroom, need hydrogen peroxide to get rid of piss smell..
PROEZE Floor Mats
This is one specific for my car. I'm guessing you have to have a fairly common car to find specific fits. Cost me about $95

I use Ozium to get rid of nasty smells like cigarette stench, and I've been trying out one of those Little Trees New Car Smell odor absorber cans, seems to cut down on the need for Ozium. Doesn't work quite as well as the charcoal odor absorbing bag I used to have. I rarely needed Ozium with that, just put the windows down to air the car out a bit. I also use a charcoal cabin air filter.
For noticeable scent I use a USB powered essential oil diffuser with lavender. Lavender is calming in general, this is my secret trick to get pax to calm the fuck down. I get compliments and questions on it fairly often. Plus it adds a bit of ambience especially at night with its slowly changing colors and white mist.
Clean car, be personable, and maybe get a set of these. I was highly suspicious of the reviews but for the first time in the history of ever I was wrong. Tip frequency went up roughly 20% and pax actually comment positively on them. That one is so weird but actually happens. Added bonus you don’t have to do “the spiel“ at the beginning of every ride as it’s right in front of them. Dash Cam Front and Inside, Dual... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09L85VHL7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
^ I use this one. One of its cameras faces the street in front, the other faces towards you and the backseat. You’ll need to purchase an SD card for storage. I use a 32gb one.
The automatic setting on the dash cam is to record until the SD card is full, then it starts recording over the oldest video. So the cam never stops recording “because the SD card is full”. An hour of 1080p video takes up about 1.5gb of space.
I never take files off the cam.
Big grocery stores. (buy a pack of gum or a drink on the way out if you have to) Here in Miami it's usually a Publix.
In a pinch it helps if you have dark tint on your car or at least those stick on poly shades, a 32 ounce widemouth water bottle (this one is 7 bucks today on amazon) and a big towel to throw over your lap as insurance when you have no choice but to pull it over wherever you are.
This is what I use, I took off the adhesive that it comes with and got heavy duty adhesive tape (gorilla) band and used that to mount to my dash. No bouncing around or anything..

Let me go run through my order history and track down the new model that way.
This is their newer version of the one I have. The cd slot portion holds very well, but my squeeze part is getting worn out (where you put the phone and squeeze it closed). I did uber eats a lot at first when I got this and I think that wore it out. But, as I said, I've had it nearly 2 years at this point also.
