> It's also expensive. Some nutrients like b12 are entirely missing.
TFW you can't afford four cents a day.
Pardon the source, but it's just for the diagrams.
The new "Food Plate" and even the revamped pyramid calls is "protein" and mixes beans and meat together for the same reason. It does include dairy as the smallest side group, but the key nutrients people consume dairy for are easily found in vegan alternatives. So the USDA itself isn't even completely advocating for meat the way medical professionals used to.
Your point still stands though, most doctors are going to be pretty firm in the things they've been taught and basic nutrition has been built on a diagram made by corporations for profit for decades.
A good book to read on that: The Sexual Politics of Meat. Long story short, it's all tied to the idea of masculine dominance. Same reasons why men are allowed to be more violent, men are (historically) allowed to get away with lewd comments and such, and bodily commodification.
I drew a lot of ties between meat, strip clubs, and sheep shows after I read this book.
Housing bees is still a great idea! but you wanna really gear it towards the natives
Have a look into 'bee boxes', native solitary bees will live in them (like bumblebees)
You won't have honey, but you'll have a bunch of fat and fuzzy friends to watch in the garden and they do a better job pollinating too <3
Here's an example, but they're quite easy to make if you do any carpentry
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wildlife-World-Solitary-Bee-Hive/dp/B001HIYW44
Bee boxes are really good for providing homes for the bees in your neighbourhood, it's like a little apartment complex
Good luck if you decide to get one!
ikr! Is this a lunch for ants?
This is actually a pretty interesting 50-page publication from the early 1900s titled "Vegetarianism and its occult meanings" by CW Leadbetter . . .

Yes. We had to lock it because the conservative shitstains at the prolife community are were coming in droves to comment stupid shit. Every one of them that comments is now directly paying for abortions.
Typical right wing dirtbags. They coopt the language of the progressive left (they even reference anti-speciesism) but it is all code for literal Christian Fascism. If they aren't Christian Fascists they are low-thought Libertarians. Neither are allowed to post here and will be banned.
How the OP found it initially I have no idea.
I basically disappeared from social media during grad school too and haven't really returned much either. But facebook groups are good for local organizing and meeting people. I've had a few people approach me between vegfest and fundraising events now that recognized me from the local facebook group, which was kind of funny, but also neat that they wanted to be friends with me.

Check out meetup.com too, there's probably a vegan group that may host events in Indianapolis.
And your kid sounds badass. He might not have the easiest time making friends during lunch, but he's going to be a little VCJ'r one day. I hope you can make some vegan friends with kids out there so that your son can fight omniscum with a partner!

To anyone downvoting both of us - this is a great podcast episode on the subject:
Systematic racism in the vegan community is an actual, real issue.
what about 50 protein per 100g of soy medallion/stew/tidbits whatever form you like:
It strikes me that this labels nearly all plant based food as non-vegan. Even lentils would not be vegan. If you're in the US you're likely buying Goya lentils, and Goya also produces beef. Good luck finding any food that is not produced by a company that also makes non-vegan food. If you think you've found a rare company that doesn't make any non-vegan food, their parent company almost certainly does, because nearly all food brands are owned by conglomerates that make all sorts of food. If you tried to avoid foods made by companies that make any non-vegan food, I think you might legitimately be at risk of starvation.
Here’s a link to the book. You can see in the pictures it’s just a vegan cookbook but they put a non-vegan ingredient option on each recipe. Just seems like a way to piss off vegans and non-vegans.
Vegan btw 🎄🍀🌻🌷🌺🌹🌿🌿🌱🌵🌱🌳🍄🍄🍄

Tell him that by eating only 5% animal products, he most likely won't be able to cover his B12 needs anyway. You can check that with a food tracker like cronometer.com . Also, B12 has the disadvantage that you can only absorb 1-2 mcg at once, so you need this amount twice a day at least four hours apart (recommendation is >2.5mcg) unless supplementing with really high doses. Therefore eating a little cheese once a day won't cover it.
So he might as well go full vegan and start supplementing if he doesn't want to completely throw his morals away. Then he doesn't need to be concerned about his health. B12 is available as drops, tasty chewable tablets or even toothpaste. I don't know why some people have to be such babies about supplementing.

Actually yes, you can, it firms up like eggwhites when you cook it. There's a whole cookbook with semen based recipes.
https://www.amazon.ca/Natural-Harvest-collection-semen-based-recipes/dp/1481227041
natural harvest is one of the oldest and most notorious/delicious. The Customers who viewed this item also viewed section is eye-opening, to say the least
So, while I was laughing out loud reading your satire (please be it), I found out cooking with semence is actually an unironical thing.
Here you go. Turns out there's a lot out there. I now also have more stuff to try out. ;D

If you just change nut to oats it'll probs show what to do with that.... sorry I don't have an actual one I have used to share.
There's many news articles, including one done by National Geographic, on the horseshoe crabs. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/horseshoe-crab-blood-is-key-to-making-a-covid-19-vaccine-e2-80-94but-the-ecosystem-may-suffer/ar-BB16gou5
And uhhh not sure which one is the best source, but here's a search result (I don't know any of those sites) https://www.ecosia.org/search?q=history+of+slave+women+being+used+in+medical+experiments
No danger of that on raddle:

Pretty much everyone on raddle is vegan.
YOURLS (Your Own URL Shortener) is a self-hosted URL shortener that is just running on some .php files and a MySQL connection - so, the best part is, if you've got a webspace on your hands, you can create your own URL shortener in no time.
It's getting late here so I guess I am going to sleep, but I think I am going to improve this plugin tomorrow (e.g. make the slogans adjustable via the settings) and share it here.
I'm vegan.
The one I take is Deva brand vegan multivitamin.
Lol, you make it sound like I live in some remote village in the Andes where bulk food stores run rampant or something. In any case, you can get Whole Foods brand brown rice on Amazon (or Amazon Fresh or Whole Foods) at 5 lb. for $6. And I'm sure you can get even better deals if you buy in bulk. I get the feeling your financial situation is not as dire as you make it out to be - or else you would've learned how to live off rice and beans, oatmeal, and PB sandwiches.
Wait, doesn't vegan collagen exist? I used to take this one, for eg
You can buy synthetic bow hair and send in your bow to get rehaired at a luthier shop along with the synthetic hair. Not sure what local company you would use since I arranged the rehairing through the orchestra instructor during high school.
Bonus points if you buy it somewhere in green since that will let everyone know you have the superior bow. :)
The price on Amazon went down a couple of dollars which is something, I guess. I still see them in grocery stores for 8$/per bottle sometimes.
I found it on amazon
If you dig Alkaline diet then, I think you like this book I that just published on Amazon that is free today...

If you fill one of these with chicken, pork, or beef broth, you can get your protein at any time of the day and they wouldn't suspect a thing. If you get the green one, they'll even assume it's healthy!
