Here's the demo for it from Amanita's website (also the makers of Machinarium). And here's the full first one, which is a free browser game at Amanita's website too.
Charming zen-like simple point&click games. I love them but they're not for everyone... give them a try though, it's free.
Hi, yes I'm familiar with the comics.
The first three are indeed Doug Tennapel's work, found on the archived Neverhood website.
The last one looks authentic, might be from his Sketchbook Archives, but I'm not sure.

There is a new game out called "Five Nights at Freddy's:. Its a great and fantastic game. What the game is about is its a Workplace Simulator where you play as a security guard and have you use camera and door to keep individuals out while conserving power. Its really an excellent and fun game.
Its currently on Desura and IndieDB for about 5 US dollars for the full game or free demo (ends at second night).
Link to Desura Page: http://www.desura.com/games/five-nights-at-freddys
EDIT: This game has just recently been greenlight by steam and is now available for purchase on steam aswell: http://store.steampowered.com/app/319510
It's "Five Nights at Freddy's" I think. Horror game where you're a night manager at a chuckie-cheeses type restaurant where the animatronics move around at night. That doesn't clarify why it's scary at all but this steam page should.
Before we get some brothers in here commenting on the influx of Greenlit games: Five Nights at Freddy's is actually, as far as the recent glut of indie horror games goes, really scary even though it does contain screamer-esqe scare moments. Markiplier, Yamimash, and RT Play Pals have all played FNAF, and its been great at scaring the hell out of them.
It's hard to believe with the banner image, but not only does the game build a tense atmosphere and promote different playstyles (the wiki for the game is growing with more strategies), but the uncanny valley approach actually makes the scares... well, scary. Also, five bucks is a pretty good price for the game, given that it isn't some Early Access garbage or a beta game pushed through as finished.
Check out the Steam page here.
Samorost is a free game you can play online, so you can judge that yourself. Samorost 2 is a bit longer, and similar to what this trailer is showing, but Samorost 3 looks better from the trailer.
If OP wants to save money, the original Samorost I think is still available to play for free online (which is by the same people who did Machinarium) - it'd be a good way to gauge interest. (And Samorost 2 has some levels up for free as well.)
It can be a simple attempt to steal identities and credentials. If it is not the site is not ready. I am not sure why you believe i run my own vanilla server.
If it's about the name, it's a joke. You can check out the game Deponia, if you are interested. It's considered cult in a lot of circles. At least a certain female character is.
Yes, I did. As I said before, yes they are wrong about the release date for the OG game, but they most likely got mixed up cause earlier today someone brought up that today was in fact the 3 year anniversary for FNaF's release on steam.
Either way no need to have a slappy fight. :P
それはユーザーじゃなくてストアページの説明にそう書いてる
The Park is a one to two hour long first-person psychological horror experience focusing on intense storytelling and exploration instead of combat and action.
I occasionally replay "The Neverhood." My dad and uncle used to play it and I watched them one time when I was really young, I didn't understand half the puzzles. But I thought (and still think) the music was hilarious, the dumb jokes and style of the game was interesting, and the story is unique.
Samoros 3 and all other games by Amanita Design like Machinarium and Botanicula are true works of art, make sure to give them a try. Samorost 1 is free if you want to get an idea of what to expect.
Well Samorost 1 is free, short and playable in a browser so see for yourself! http://amanita-design.net/samorost-1/
It's wonderful, of course - but back when this came out, IE5/6 was still a thing and there was nothing nearly as good looking or well-designed in a flash game at the time. I think it's still lovely to play through thanks to the strong art direction.
The first half of Samorost 2 is also free on their website but if you liked the first, it's totally worth buying to play the whole thing.
I really miss King's Quest and the like. Check out Amanita Design, makers of , Samorost2 & Machinarium. Samorost is free to play online and others can be down loaded from their site.
This is like a weird, reversed Deponia plot. My entire name does not work anymore. I wonder if Shenna is as hot as Goal, though.
You mentioned Leisure Suit Larry and King's Quest so I'm going to suggest Botanicula. It's a beautiful and very kid friendly point and click adventure. http://botanicula.net/ you can even play a demo right there in your browser. I played it a lot with my 7 year old sister and we had a blast.
I guess your question has mostly been answered by now - but difficulty also really depends on genre.
Personally - I find every platformer hard, even back in the days when I had unlimited lives on Great Giana Sisters.
I just finished Botanicula - unbelievably entertaining, almost cried at how beautiful and cute it all was, and then had to watch a Jeffrey Dahmer documentary to uncleanse myself.
Try Botanicula, a new point & click adventure game from a well-regarded indie studio.
It takes place in a forest/garden, and explores the full range of life forms in a very surreal and otherworldly way. Definitely the most alien game I've ever experienced.
If it possible to get 2 games that, combined, are under $15, I request Fuve Nights at Freddy' 1 & 2. If not, then FNaF 1 will be fine.
FNaF fits the theme of halloween because it is a horror "suvival" game where you must survive 5 nights with animatronics that have come to live and want to stuff you in an empty suit.
Here is the first games store page
Here is the second games store page
If you are in to horror movies that aren't only about jumpscares, I would recommend 4 movies: Cabin in the Woods, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and Trick-r-Treat. All movies are psychological suspense movies (with a few jumpscares), but overall, great films.
I think you should play any TellTale game you own (I see the Wolf Among Us in your library). Those games are great if you love narrative stories that make you really question your morality.
Anyways, thanks for the awesome giveaway, and good luck to everyone!
Why would you say the FNaF 2 tapes are prerecorded? Because of the "summer job"? Remember, FNaF 1 welcomes you to your "new summer job," and FNaF 1 takes place in November. Not a summer month if I remember correctly.
Also, Fritz was the third nightguard. Jeremy was the second, and Purple Guy was the first. No others before that. Not at that location anyways.
The one with a BB in a solid blue color next to a girl flying away on a balloon.
Reused from the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Bear in mind? BARE in mind. Fazbear in mind. Anyways, it could simply be referring to the characters reappearing after YEARS. Keep in mind that we've seen the original location, the one where the Withered's originated from. Scott has been known to screw up definitions, as shown with the '"Summer Job" tagline. Speaking of which....
The game description of FNaF 1 clearly states that it is a summer job. Explain that if Mike works in November.
I thought you were referring to the company and not the animatronics, sorry. But they originated from the "original location" that was left to rot for "quite a while". Not FNaF 2's location.

I missed out on this one so hard. I've been crazy busy between work and school the past few months, so I never got a chance to look into this game while everyone else was going wild over it. Once I actually saw what this game is about, I wanted it. It looks awesome, it looks like a lot of goofy fun, and I would love to livestream this on Twitch so commenters could tell me how much I suck and how big of a baby I am. It's a personal dream of mine to be furiously insulted by the Internet, you see.
Yes! This 100 times over! It's on steam for $5 and it would be wonderful, you gotta set up a cam so we can see your reaction. Maybe play it with Simon or something.
Steam is filled with random shit, not completely filled. The whole early access where "you can see the game grow, only for 20$" where a shit tons of devs are just running away with the money and not keeping there promises, is total bullshit and there not doing anything about it. And okay I get it there working on source and l4d okay, but that still doesn't mean they can just leave people getting scammed and no I am not saying this because I got fucked by some shit game. I'm saying this because they need quality control.

For the unaware: Samorost 1 and is an old flash games that you can play on Amanita's site right here, and 2 also has a demo on the same site.
Samorost. It's hard to describe, really artsy point and click puzzle game.
The developer has made a handful of amazing browser games that are similar- Amanita Design.
Super, super late reply, but I would suggest anything by amanita design. One of their games is playable online for free here. It's a different genre than the things you mentioned, but hopefully you'll like it.
Dunno if it counts as obscure anymore since it was on one of the Humble Indie Bundles, but Samorost & sequel always make me really happy. I think the first is free and #2 costs $5. They're just short flash games, not longer console games, might not be the type of thing you were thinking of but I feel like they're worth checking out.
