This should be rated higher. Amazon has a Transaction Disputes department that specializes in dealing with things like this. I've had to deal with them twice when card numbers were stolen, and Amazon quickly issued refunds both times. My credit card company wasn't involved at all.
Running to our credit card company is often our first instinct, but doing that can be a bit risky with Amazon. They've been known to permanently blacklist accounts connected to chargebacks, including victims of actual theft, preventing those victims from ever using Amazon again (including the many Amazon subsidiaries). When dealing with a large number of transactions, like the OP is reporting, that becomes a very real danger.
If Amazon has already verified that the charges came from a different account, their Transaction Disputes department should be able to quickly refund the OP's money AND shut down the other account. Their regular service reps CANNOT do that, which is presumably why the rep the OP spoke with previously didn't offer it.
Amazon is extremely unfriendly to sellers. Sellers essentially have no rights and the buyer has all the rights. If the buyer complains, Amazon will not stand by the seller, ever. If the buyer complains, and Amazon finds the complaint to be valid, they will actually remove the customer's money from the seller's bank account, and the buyer can keep the product. It's crazy.

Because Amazon doesn't want to pay the fees that Paypal charges merchants, or share data about customers/purchases with a potential competitor.
Basically, the same reasons that Paypal doesn't support Amazon Pay.
You’d never get a W2 from Amazon/MTurk since MTurk is considered self-employment. If you were to receive anything, it would be a 1099-K from Amazon Payments, but you only get one if you made at least 200 transactions totaling $20,000 or more. Source
Can you guys seriously stop giving shit answers without doing your research?

> Any of the payment methods available in your Amazon account can be used with Amazon Pay. Note that Amazon.com gift cards entered into your Amazon account cannot be used when making purchases with Amazon Pay on third-party websites.
In short, they don't work. Sorry man.
The [Camelot Unchained Store FAQ[(https://store.camelotunchained.com/faq) suggests that they also accept payments through other platforms like Stripe or Amazon Payments. Are these not viable options for you?
There is a phone number but from everything I know they arent going to come off of wanting something to verify your address.. Anything like a prescription that might have your address on it?
This is the website to request a call back from amazon payments:
https://pay.amazon.com/us/contact and click on the contact by phone under customers
If it puts your mind at ease we had someone else w/ this same issue post about it today so you're not alone, though other folks have had no problem xfering recently. They said it was a WF account they were trying to xfer to if that's any help, but it might be a random one-off failure (maybe holiday related?)
AP recommends just trying again as a first step.
Edit: Seems AP is broken for most people now haha, so yeah probably an issue on their end.
Not to be a complete cliché in this sub. But have you thought of drop shipping your own products? Just an idea. And using the Amazon checkout service payment gateway? I know the delivery isn't as quick but if you can find the products cheaper or more personal or whatever. May be worth a look? Not saying ditch Amazon but diversifying may be the only option. Since Amazon haven't said they're stopping with the affiliate cuts. It's only a matter of time before the happen again. Check this plugin out https://pay.amazon.com/us/sp/woocommerce
Seems to me like it's just a payment gateway that the [potential] customer prefers. Amazon Pay features no transaction fees for either party from my understanding. It doesn't allow for people to pay using AMZN giftcards or anything from what I've read on it.
Seems fake to me. You're not a seller of Amazon giftcards, right?
"A chargeback occurs when your customer contacts their bank or credit card company to dispute the charge for an order that they placed on your website. "
Well, upon further investigation... I'm confused.
I saw this: https://pay.amazon.com/ie/help/201810860 which mentions AUD (it is mentioned elsewhere too), so I assumed that meant it's available in Australia, but then I can't find Australia explicitly mentioned anywhere.
So, you're probably right?

Seems like the customer service rep was definitely mistaken.
Sadly you can't pay with gift cards for Amazon Pay, see here: > Please note that Amazon Gift Cards can't be used as a payment method for orders with Amazon Payments.
I found it super difficult and convoluted to find and understand this info buthere's what the Amazon Pay website says about transaction fees. I feel like this might be a thing to contact the website that uses Amazon Pay about and ask if they have other methods.
But I don't think it's life or death if you end up giving Amazon a few cents every now and again through a third party. Amazon is everywhere and there are other ways to support the labour organizing.
> The website FAQ confused me with "Transaction ID" stuff. I backed the game in Late April 2013 thru kickstarter, with a now dead email address.
From https://pay.amazon.com/help/6709
> To find a transaction ID, go to the Your Account Overview page, search for specific transaction by setting the appropriate date range, and then click View.
> To view details of a transaction, click the Details link. The transaction ID is the string of numbers next to the label "Transaction ID." You can copy that transaction ID and then paste where you need it.
Sounds like you might have accidentally clicked on next day shipping?
Third-party sellers often have that very high, because it is very expensive to ship overnight.
Anyway, you can dispute with the seller https://pay.amazon.com/help/201754740
Or call Amazon +1-206-922-0880
Amazon gift cards cannot be used as a payment method to place an order using Amazon Pay.
(From here, toward the bottom where it says "Amazon Pay explained")
> Wait until Jeff Bezos begins letting his employees buy their food and stuff straight from Amazon with some kind of employee e-currency...
This is already a thing. Thousands of Americans and as many workers abroad are already paid with AmazonPay, especially for work through Amazon's small gig/survey platform Amazon Mechanical Turk.

You will need the Amazon transaction confirmation

>I see Amazon is telling me my fees are a lot 50%?! Idk how. I go to a detailed report and the only fees I see are 39.99 for service, inbound shipment cost for sending inventory. Amazon FBA fees I assume are the cost for each item they pack and ship. “Amazon fees” for $491.59 cents is a whole other thing I do not get.
No major payment processors in the USA I am aware of that treat refunds fees fairly. PayPal and Stripe extorting merchants it gives all others the leverage they need to do it and say "it's industry standard".
Stripe I somewhat understand since they have costs to vendors when they transact a payment no matter what. PayPal is just a bunch greedy animals. Many of their transactions draw from paypal balances and ach bank accounts for which there are little to no fees for reversing them. PayPal is the worst.
But, Amazon Pay does not currently retain their fee for refunds. However they do keep the authorization fee ($0.30). https://pay.amazon.com/help/201212280
I always find these types of psychological questions fascinating. Like when you decrease time to purchase it increases sales. I wonder if we don't see something similar at play in the coming weeks: https://pay.amazon.com/blog/decreasing-checkout-times-to-increase-sales
By increasing the time to send, we will increase engagement and activity on the network.
We've locked this post because too many people were having a public meltdown over whether this is a scam.
As noted by /u/unhardtokill and others, the P.O. Box seems to be owned by Amazon (link 1, link 2, link 3).
As with any communication sent to you, it's important to confirm that it's from the actual company by confirming with the company, checking their official website, and not implicitly trusting any contact information sent to you (including links, phone numbers, and addresses). Unfortunately, that doesn't 100% eliminate the possibility of a customer service associate providing incorrect information.
You may want to call Amazon Payments back to speak with a different associate or escalate to a supervisor.

As you're using a Debit Card with a very low threshold it will not work for what you want to do.
You'll need to purchase internal gift cards with your DC until you reach the dollar amount needed to purchase the phone.
Have you tried changing your address in Amazon Payments? It's kind of set up strange as there is a separate log in for Amazon Payments although you can use the same log in information. MTurk and Payments are also run by different people, so it won't do any good contacting MTurk if it is a Payments problem.
I'm not sure about the photo for a screen shot, but you can certainly try. I don't think it would make a difference.
First, try giving it a break and wait awhile before trying again. There may be a glitch in the system someplace so that the file isn't going through.
I believe there is a phone number some have used but I don't have it. Try searching this sub-reddit to see if you can find it.
Edit to add: Try the phone number on the top of this page: https://pay.amazon.com/help/82972
Except that Amazon doesn't consider MTurk workers to be employees, so they don't report worker income unless it meets certain guidelines.
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations require that U.S. payment processors, including Amazon Payments, file a Form 1099-K to report unadjusted annual gross sales or payment volume information for customers that meet both of the following thresholds in a calendar year:
More than $20,000 in gross payment volume More than 200 transactions
https://pay.amazon.com/help/201212430
3.2 Account Balances. If you are a permanent U.S. resident (which does not include holders of U.S. visas), a U.S. citizen, or a business entity authorized to do business and having a physical presence in the United States, you may hold monetary balances in your Payment Account (your "Balance") subject to the terms of this Agreement. You are not required to maintain a Balance to use the Service. When you carry a Balance, you appoint us as your agent with respect to your Balance. Your Balance is not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Prior to disbursing funds to you, we may combine your Balance with the funds of other users of the Service (or of similar services we offer), invest them, or use them for other purposes permitted by applicable laws. You will not receive interest or any other earnings on your Balance. To the extent required by applicable laws, we will not use any funds held on your behalf for our corporate purposes, will not voluntarily make such funds available to our creditors in the event of bankruptcy or for any other purpose, and will not knowingly permit our creditors to attach your Balance.
I have researched this and basically, amazon payments isn't required to tax you unless you go over $20,000 and have 200 withdrawls in a calendar year. I am on SSDI and don't even bother. Says so right here https://pay.amazon.com/help/201491290
Square and Amazon Pay are two easy to sign up for processors that refund transaction fees when payments are refunded. We may go with one or both of these options as a temporary measure.
However we are looking into a proper merchant account either through our US bank or through one of the major merchant account providers. No matter what bullshit PayPal spews it is not "standard industry practice" to steal the transaction fee when a refund is processed. If they're stupid enough to try this shit in the EU I look forward to PayPal getting pounded into the dirt over it.
As I said above, PayPal can die in a fire. I hope they do, and soon.
Update:
Flushed my Pi-hole, desktop and browser cache. When I enter amazonpay.biz into my browser it redirects me to https://pay.amazon.com.
Should the Pi-hole not just block the webpage all together rather than redirecting?

Here's some information I found for anyone interested in contacting Amazon Payments:

I don't know how every seller works, but lets take Amazon for an example.
Team Cherry is selling keys for Hollow Knight on Nintendo Switch keys on Steam for $15.
If someone buys a key from Amazon and then does a chargeback on the transaction, Team Cherry will both lose their $15 payment and have a $20 chargeback fee taken from them.
It's in Amazon's Chargeback FAQ.
If you sell a physical item on Amazon and there is a charge back you can dispute the claim and possibly avoid the $20 fee.
However
>The Payment Protection Policy does not apply to transactions that include intangible goods, including services, digital content, or cash equivalents such as gift cards.
(Emphasis mine)
It's right on there on the Amazon Pay website:
> Amazon.com Gift Cards cannot be used as a payment method to place an order using Amazon Pay.
And on the Amazon Pay UK site:
> Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards cannot be used as a payment method to place an order using Amazon Pay.
Earlier this morning I came across this article, <strong>Amazon Payments – Send and Receive Money with a Credit Card</strong>, and after a careful reading of it, I decided that, hey, maybe this service could have been worth a try.
So I went to the link provided (<strong>payments.amazon.com</strong>), but it told me that it was not possible to reach its website.
Now the question is: did Amazon discontinue the Amazon Payments service...or it simply became the one we know as <strong>Amazon Pay</strong>?
> It seems to me like it's available.
then please provide a link, until then I'll have to go by Amazon's location flags on their site.
Or the wikipedia page that states As of January 2019 the service is available in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Hungary, Luxembourg, Republic of Ireland, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States.
>Please see the following link from amazon.
Did you click the link? If you had, you'd see that it says this:
> Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations require that U.S. payment processors, including Amazon Payments, file a Form 1099-K to report unadjusted annual gross sales or payment volume information for customers that meet both of the following thresholds in a calendar year: > * More than $20,000 in gross payment volume * More than 200 transactions
This is the first bullet I see in that forum (not the official mturk website):
“Everyone who earns self-employment income should be filing a Schedule C [(or C-EZ; your tax software will put you in the right version for you)] form to report !MTG all [(there is no $400 or $600 'minimum')] of those earnings (regardless of whether you receive 1099-MISC forms for all of it or not) with the annual 1040 form. [And it will need to be the full Form 1040; having self-employment earnings means you're not eligible to use 1040EZ or 1040A instead.]”
Amazon payments SHOULD be sending a 1099 to all users who earn over $600 during the jan-Dec accounting period.
Please see the following link from amazon.
https://pay.amazon.com/us/help/200831230
Amazon pay requires all mturk users to submit ALL tax identity information such as your name, address, social (or EIN).
The definition of self reporting is that YOU need file your own taxes and report your own income and expenses.
Amazon is only reporting the amount of money they sent you, aka their expenses.
Were you contacting Amazon or Amazon Pay? If Amazon, I would suggest logging into pay.amazon.com. As soon as you log in, you should be taken straight to all your transactions. This is where I started.
Depending on your account age and metrics, you can actually request an upgrade to Tier 2 (sounds like you're on Tier 1), but that's usually done automatically.
This is from the Amazon FAQs: > What payment methods can be used with Amazon Pay?
> Any of the payment methods available in your Amazon account can be used with Amazon Pay. Note that Amazon.com gift cards entered into your Amazon account cannot be used when making purchases with Amazon Pay on third-party websites.
I feel like you're answering your own question here. Amazon makes money by charging transaction fees to the vendor for each purchase. If you wouldn't have ordered it at all were it not for the free shipping, then their profit would have been $0. If you're now ordering enough to make the $100 a year of free shipping worth it, you've definitely helped Amazon turn a profit.
My understanding is that if they don't list their own terms then it defaults to Amazon's, although this would be a good question for Amazon itself just to make sure:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201819200
Although, from my reading, unless you said the unit had dead pixels you could still make a claim under the A-Z Guarantee:
https://pay.amazon.com/us/help/201212420?
And I also completely understand your concern given that before I got my PG348Q I had to go through multiple other monitors that all had various defects - luckily both Best Buy and Amazon were great and I didn't have any issues swapping them out or returning them (this last one was actually from an Amazon Warehouse deal and I feel like I got it for a steal considering the quality).
> Why would amazon go through the hassle to accept a new currency that only a tiny percentage of their customers would even use?
They just did. Amazon Pay https://pay.amazon.com/uk/help/201754640?ld=SEUKAPAExtension
Google gives me this link: https://pay.amazon.com/us
Maybe a glitch with the mobile site or something but the sign up button directs me to a page that requires a business website. Cant find where in the mobile site to sign up for a personal acct
Did you recently sign up for an Amazon Payments account? https://pay.amazon.com/us It's a service similar to Paypal, and separate from the main Amazon account. They do a $1 test charge on any card you add and then credit it back. If you didn't, or not recently, maybe it's just some system glitch.
I submitted my tax info but the problem persists, i tried to log in https://pay.amazon.com and everything seems fine with my account, the email https://ibb.co/e6WVS5
and yes unluckily i only can collect my earning in the form of gift cards but still better than nothing
pd: thanks for trying to help me i really appreciate that
Hmmm, I think you are thinking of the regular Amazon Account that you buy stuff with. But this is for "merchants & shoppers". Try logging in this site with your Amazon info:
If your login info doesn't work then it means you need to sign up. I'm pretty sure I had to do it separately. Then you add a bank account. After it is set up, once you complete hits the money is transferred to your Payments account. From there you have the option to withdraw funds that go to your bank, or to an Amazon Gift Card (your choice).
Hope this makes sense, it's kinda hard to explain in text without showing you.
