>Call of Duty: Vanguard is powered by the next-generation engine first introduced in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare®
This might be the main reason I play this game. I love the feel of the latest MW (black ops cold war felt ancient in comparison but I still had some fun)

>Be on the lookout for new Zombies teasers on Treyarch’s social channels this week as we get closer to the mid-season release of “Mauer der Toten,” the terrifying new chapter in the Dark Aether story.
>
><em>https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/06/call-of-duty-weekly-briefing-june-28-2021</em>
here you go. In general, if you want to stay up to date with call of duty, simply check out the official callofduty.com news blog.
There's a completely new open world zombies mode called 'Outbreak' out now since yesterday and it's amazing. If you're done with the game because you only play to unlock dark aether and not to have fun that's understandable, but if you want to have fun even without getting a camo for it (strange people do that) you should definitely check it out.
"Warzone thus far has been a game of “kill or be killed.” However, during Season Four, Operators will be able to drop in for the game’s first-ever objective-based game mode: Payload.
In Payload, you and 39 other Operators drop in to escort two caravans of vehicles through a series of checkpoints or sabotage the mission. Build or destroy barriers and purchase buildings to aid in your squad’s mission, and be sure to collect any contracts you find around Verdansk, as they will help lead to success.
More details are to come on this new mode later this season."
https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/10/vanguard-launch-pre-season-one-warzone-pacific-roadmap
>– Your progression – for your Player Level, Battle Pass system, etc. – is synchronized across Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare and Warzone Pacific, and the Seasonal Levelling and Prestige System will return. This also means your level will reset to Military Rank 1 within all games, but this only applies to XP; all content you previously unlocked will still be available.
Alongside the skin/character not working, the pack is actually missing two items they said it would have from the blog post yesterday as well.
" In addition to these items, the “Samantha Maxis Reactive Bundle” also includes the animated “Ominous Glow” Calling Card, the animated “Death Rider” and “Insta-Kill” Emblems, “Green Reaper” and “Requiem Vicerimus Mortem” Stickers, and the adorable-yet-frightening “Zombie Bunny” Weapon Charm.
Like they're small items, but come the fuck on. This bundle was clearly unfinished but still shunted out the door.
Dreams of a 4th ring have gone cold, I'm wondering why
My team ain't scrimming at all
The morning clouds up in my window
And I can't see main stage at all
Even if I could no one would rotate with me
Put our picture on my green wall
It reminds me, That it's not so bad......IT'S NOT SO BAD
Say whatever you like about the rest of the game but the Zombies mode is hardly generic and lazy. The amount of effort the devs put into what was originally a bonus minigame is insane.
Just look at the timeline, for gods sake. That was not made by lazy people.
https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/09/Intel-Drop-for-Pacific-Map-in-Call-of-Duty-Warzone
Speaking of what the community has played thus far, your efforts through building personal loadouts and profiles will carry on. Warzone will continue to support weapons and content earned with a Battle Pass or purchased via Store Bundle from Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® and Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War.
Take note of what they said in April:
https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/04/warzone-anti-cheat-progress-report
"Some have asked if we issue hardware bans. We do issue hardware bans against repeat, or serial, cheaters. This is an important part of our effort to combat repeat offenders."
They don't even do hardware bans until you do it repeatedly which is just ridiculous. Even in April, after doing these blogs multiple times, why not have a zero tolerance policy?
From the website it sounds like it's just WWII from a different viewpoint again
> Witness the origins of Special Forces as you play a pivotal role and change the face of history, forming Task Force One in a gripping Campaign across four major theaters of war.
> This incredible campaign spans four major theaters of World War II in a unified single-player narrative, as you prepare to do your part to change the fate of humanity.
> Through the gripping narrative and remarkable journey of these steeled soldiers, players will experience influential battles of World War II as they engage enemies across the Eastern and Western Fronts of Europe, and fight for the free world throughout the Pacific and North Africa. Whether dogfighting over the Midway Islands, defending Stalingrad with a sniper’s precision, airdropping over France, or blasting through advancing forces in North Africa, this is a deeply engaging and raw campaign, with the signature combat you’ve come to expect from Call of Duty.
The Kernel-based anticheat is not live, and it will not come to Vanguard on December 2nd. It will first be implemented to the new Warzone. "The kernel-level driver will subsequently release for Call of Duty: Vanguard at a later date." They have not announced when this will be the case.
Regarding the running, server-based part, of Ricochet: it can't ban immediately because it seems to be mostly stat-based. Maybe they have a shadow-ban modus that kicks in, when someone had a certain percentage of headshots in ten games or something like that. But banning will take time, at least a day, I assume.
The only good news so far is this: "Permanent suspensions for security infractions may now apply franchise wide, including Call of Duty: Vanguard as well as any past, present, and future titles in the Call of Duty franchise." Cheaters can't use an account that was banned in Warzone in Vanguard, Cold War etc. That should help Vanguard a little.
Call of Duty Zombies.
I'm serious. There's so much hyper convoluted lore to that stuff and most people have no idea, and I kinda love it.
You think Kingdom Hearts is complicated? Look at this fucking timeline.
It's a time loop, so it's a "new set" of characters that participates in it each time. The same characters don't go through the whole cycle over and over again. They're not immortal, they would age and die.
After Revelations, Monty sends Primis back to the start of the cycle in 1294 to fight in the Great War between humanity and the Apothicons. After the war ends, they disappear from history.
We now know that they get cryogenically frozen, or at least Richtofen is.
If this all seems confusing and hard to understand and full of time paradoxes, that's because it is. Time travel and universal time loops get messy, especially when you change everything and haven't revealed the whole story yet. This is also just my understanding, I could be wrong about things. If you want to read more about the (now outdated) timeline, the CoD wiki has it all written down here. It's from the massive timeline picture that Treyarch released when Zombies Chronicles was being released.
> Q: What if I played Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Call of Duty: Ghosts, or Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on one platform, but will play Call of Duty: Black Ops III on a different platform?
A: The loyalty in-game items will be available to you as long as all Sony, Microsoft, or Steam accounts are linked to the same Call of Duty account.
https://www.callofduty.com/blackops3/loyalty
Simply link both your XBL and PSN accounts to the same Call of Duty account and you should get the rewards.
Yes.

I may be dumb but I can't find this on their official website.
Also Call of Duty, as the author pointed out, has a history of doing it's homework, which it apparently didn't this time.
Also also, the complain of this article is more than just historical accuracy.
Well... Battlefield used to have a F2P title, and COD has one releasing soon, so...

That text is literally the same exact text they used for WWII's Season Pass. They just changed "Season Pass" to "Black Ops Pass" this year.

Season Pass content is not final, is subject to change, and may not include all downloadable content available for the game. Here are the current CWL (CoD World League) standings: https://www.callofduty.com/esports/league/na/standings
There is only 1 week remaining in the CWL, here is the schedule: https://www.callofduty.com/esports/league/na/schedule
This last week in the CWL will be intense. There are 5 teams fighting for their chance to finish Top 8. Only 3 can make it, 2 will be out. If they don't, then they don't qualify for the playoffs which take place July 14-17. You can watch all these matches on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday on http://twitch.tv/callofduty
As for the teams to watch, that's a different story. Most people are fans of players rather than teams (except for maybe OpTic fans).
If you're looking to be a fan of a team who: * is the clear favorite in most events, then OpTic would be the team to go for.
makes great YouTube content such as daily vlogs, then either OpTic or FaZe would be your choice.
is the underdog at events who always is a potential for major upsets, H2k, C9, & LG are the teams you want.
has players who gets super hype and loud when they clutch up with wins, FaZe, LG, & H2k are the teams you want.
I personally recommend you watch some streams of pro players and find a player that you enjoy watching and support him and whatever team he is on. Some popular streamers are:
Apathy
Havok
Scumpii (Streams on MLGtv)
Karma
Crimsix
Formal
Clayster
Aches
Nagafen
Studyy
Slacked
Attach
Mochila
And many, many more. These are just the names I could think of off the top of my head (I could name plenty more, but don't wanna crowd the list). A lot of the pros also do YouTube if that interest you.
There are lots of storylines in CoD. Don't be afraid to ask anyone on this subreddit. Lots of people will be willing to help you out and help you learn more. We're always happy to bring in new fans.
It is.
> The island is roughly the size of Verdansk
Straight from the blog post. They wont replace the big map with a small map, as they cater to different groups, they want both groups to be happy. Also all of the images show this is very clearly a big island

Not a leak, from our blog here! Have at it everyone: https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/08/call-of-duty-mobile-season-7-elite-of-the-elite
I'm posting this for others. This was posted in a previous update.
>Dynamic Wall Buys
>Wall Buy weapons in all round-based Zombies maps will now have a chance to increase in rarity at the end of every fifth round, giving players more weapon options to choose from as the rounds go up.
>Rarities can increase all the way to Legendary.
Also on the preorder page for Black Ops 3 the PS4 is selected by default while on the Advanced Warfare buy page and the Ghosts page the Xbox One is selected by default.
No. Per the blog post and pretty much every preorder notes, physical copies get virtually zero bonuses. Only digital preorders will net you the extra items.
It's not about what is worse.
The CWL handbook says the following:
>6.6. Ringing
> Participants shall not conduct or promote any act of ringing (playing using an account other than their own) during the Competition.
>7.2.8. Ringing or Account Sharing
> • Typical Minimum Penalty – $1000 Fine and/or Suspension
> • Typical Maximum Penalty (1st Offense) – Indefinite Suspension
> • Typical Maximum Penalty (2nd Offense) – Indefinite Suspension
They broke the rules and now they are paying the consequences. There's no specific rule about receiving free wins, but we can assume they were fined/warned.
Nope
> 4. Team License
A “Team License” is a permit which allows an organization or entity (registered association, organization, corporation, limited liability
company, etc.) to have a Team in the GPL. The Team License is granted to an organization or entity at the time the Team accepts an invitation for the GPL. A Team License is a non-transferable license to compete in the GPL in accordance with these GPL Rules.
A Team Owner is only entitled to directly or indirectly own or have any financial, ownership, management, control (including voting rights) and/or other interest in one Team in the GPL. If an Owner is found to have such rights in more than one Team, then in addition to any other rights or remedies Administration has under the Handbook or these GPL Rules, the Owner must
either decline an invitation to the GPL on behalf of all but one of the Teams or divest all of such Team Owner’s interest in all but one of the Teams immediately.
A Team License cannot be held by a Player in the GPL. If a qualified Team does not belong to an organization or entity prior to their qualification, such Team must either form an organization or entity which shall be managed solely by an individual who is not participating in the Competition as a Player or join an existing organization or entity to remain in the GPL. The
Administration, may, but is not obligated to, provide assistance in connection with the foregoing.
Yes. You have the official notes on COD Vanguard website.
The game file size its 54gbs, but it requires 93gb of free space.

More than likely, Legacy Edition = Infinite + MW, Legacy Pro = Infinite + Season Pass + MW.
EDIT: It's exactly that, but also lists "Additional Bonus Content" for Legacy Pro. https://www.callofduty.com/infinitewarfare/buy
As much as I want more CW content, Activision has already pushed out the Vanguard Season 1 roadmap - On December 2nd, Season 6 rolls off to Vanguard Season 1, there is no season 7.
As Treyarch hasn't even publicly talked about the new bundles that are dropping for Cold War (Stitch recently got one, and I know Kitsune and Zeyna are getting ones, so say Youtube), it makes me wonder why they're being so quiet on Cold War content.
My personal hope is that just like Season 6 gave some Vanguard content, Season 1 of Vanguard could give Cold War content, but this obviously hasn't even been mentioned or suggested by an outside source.

>Our ongoing security and enforcement efforts are franchise wide across Warzone, Modern Warfare® and Black Ops. You dont like Rivas Operator Bundle? Why not?
edit: dont get me wrong this is a nice bundle, but the og operator bundle slaps?
They say it in the blog post: https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/08/Season-Five-Black-Ops-Cold-War-Warzone-Launching-August-12
Tempered (slot 2): plates are 75HP instead of 50, so you can plate faster and save plates.
Combat Scout (slot unknown): automatically pings and highlights an enemy when you damage him, similar to MW3's Recon perk I guess.
Not only is there actual canon, there's a fucking lot of it. And its incredibly complex, its like if Dark Souls had concrete explanations and not just vague implications. Just look at this official timeline that we had to decipher back in the day.
"Experience the full-scale theatre of war with the Call of Duty®: WWII Season Pass*.

Here you are sir. I posted it on here a few months ago. If you look at the asterisked point it will read as follows:
> While we hope everyone is excited about an even more competitive landscape to kick off the CWL, because of the change from a North America only event to including international teams by invitation to compete, teams who have already purchased a team pass have the opportunity to withdraw from this event and receive a team pass for a future MLG CWL open event taking place in the United States within the next 12 months. Should you wish to withdraw from this event and redeem a pass for a future MLG CWL event please email by 11:59PM EDT Friday 12/9/16.
So yes it was supposed to be an NA event before hand and they did get invited. Now, I will back out before I get trampled by triggers.
The new bunkers are clearly not the same ones, there are 2 photos of them here: https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/09/prepare-for-the-final-showdown-deep-dive-season-six
First image is def her Ultra-Rarity tier 100 skin.
Blog post has stated that the Battle Pass Bundle (BP + 20 tier skips) will also include a limited-time (two weeks) Kitsune outfit, so safe to assume it's her white demon fox outfit in the proceeding images.
New players join Call of Duty pretty often and I would consider us a good place to start an online MP journey! We have a VS Bots lobby that you can ramp the difficulty up and down on to help get acclimated to our controls if you aren't already.
Our Game Modes also explain how the match is played while loading into the map via tooltips and also while navigating the menus.
You're going to have to create an Activision account (More accounts, I know) which will let you play online and also cross-play with other players. Once you have an online service account (Xbox Live / PlayStation Plus / Battle.net ID), make an Activision account and link them together. Make sure you two-factor authenticate everything to stay safe!
You can create an Activision Account at https://www.callofduty.com/.

Search for bish emote redeem code on yt and put it there.
But remember this website is trash most of the tine it doesn't work. I was not able to get by15 skin also from 2M celebration.
> AMP63: Pistol (In-Season)
> The Secondary category gets even deeper later in Season Three thanks to the AMP63 pistol. Slotting in as the fourth sidearm in Black Ops Cold War’s arsenal, this personal defense weapon is a cross between a self-loading pistol and a fully automatic SMG. Expect this weapon to output high amounts of damage in a short period of time thanks to its full-auto nature, which makes it highly effective in close quarters.
They just announced (once again) that they’re cracking down on cheaters and bringing in new measures to stop it. You can read more about it here https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/02/Call-of-Duty-Anti-Cheat-Programs-Update. Chances are, they finally got round to banning someone you reported months ago.
That being said, I have absolutely no faith in the company to make any effective changes to the game that stop or noticeably reduce the number of cheaters. They’ve been too shit for too long and I’m betting this is just more talk to try to keep creators playing and talking about the game
I think it's become pretty clear that the game will no longer be receiving constant support, which was to be expected as CW is the new game.
The weekly briefings are back with no mention of MW whatsoever.
All we can do is ... have fun with the game and wait for an occasional content drop. I play casually, slowly unlocking camos and getting a grip of every gun in the game with occasional weird attachment combos. I don't mind the playlists so much. The game is still the same game as it was a couple months ago, sure it sucks not to have a map voting system and it surely feels a bit "empty" since support was dropped, but there's no denying that you can have a good time with the game no matter what.
New gamemode, Control, which is replacing CTF as map 3 in a 5 map series. It's a cross between hardpoint and snd, teams have 30 lives and the attacking team has to capture 2 points or get the enemy's lives to 0, and vice versa.
One Pro League season. Last year the pro league was split into 2 seasons, and teams were relegated or promoted at the end of season 1, meaning there were a few different teams in season 2 compared to 1. This year, it's one long season, so once a team qualifies, they're in for the whole season. There will be specific player transfer periods throughout the season.
Pro League teams will earn money for each individual win in the league, along with normal placement prize money.
After Vegas, there are no longer Open Events. Pro League teams will play in their own 16 double elimination bracket at each event, and the rest of the teams will play in a separate tournament bracket, with it's own prize pool.
You can find more in depth changes here: https://www.callofduty.com/esports/story/2018-09/CWL2019_Announcements.html
According to the spectator FAQ document, consumer recording devices are allowed. Professional setups with long lenses, tripods, and lighting will not be permitted, unless cleared beforehand by . You must keep your distance from a player, main stage, feature station, and any other area instructed by the administrative staff, as mentioned in the 2018 CWL NOLA tournament rule book. For more information, you can contact .
Based on the official Pro Point ladder, with some help from Argi collating all the teams properly for us, it looks like Infused are exactly 800 behind Delivare. This means that if Infused outplace Delivare by 1 round, they will be on equal points, and by 2+ they get pool, play.
My question is, what would happen if two teams ended up on exactly the same points?

> #TeamRICOCHET is preparing for the arrival of the next phase in the RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system, the new PC kernel-level driver. Warzone will be the first title to receive the driver, launching alongside the Pacific update in December. The kernel-level driver, which is one element of the multi-faceted RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system, will be added to Call of Duty: Vanguard at a later date.
Damn, I hadn't seen that.
"You can play one (or all) of the four integrated Call of Duty games – Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, and Warzone – and progress your Rank and Battle Pass."

Instead of telling you to go and Google it like OP did, I’ll try and explain what it is.
Warzone is CoD’s version of a battle royale. To my understanding, when you die for the first time in a match, you get sent to the Gulag. There, you have the opportunity to fight another defeated player in a 1v1 for a chance to rejoin the game.
I don’t play Warzone, so I likely didn’t explain it right. Here’s a link to a page on the CoD site about it: link
Do you have a link to the blog post? I keep googling and its nowhere to be found, not even on their site. Newest one its showing for me is from June 3rd
Edit: nevermind, managed to find it. Its still not in their list of blog posts, but i found it as a random google link. Here it is
I tired to find what the report options were for my own curiosity. Didn't find them, but did find this press release from this week.
That number surprised me. I mean I know video game online communities are beyond toxic, but over a quarter of a million bans over the course of a year is a lot.
I tried using the Way Back Machine but since the site redirects to the main page to buy the game now instead of the original blog post it isn't possible however the way you use to be able to get to it is by going to the email "Black Ops 4: Your Blackout Mission Brief" and clicking the bottom right panel saying "Get Can't-Miss Content with Black Ops Pass" and it use to have written on the blog post "While other players are required to reach each tier organically, Black Ops Pass members can skip 10 tiers per season. What’s that mean? In short, you’ll get the chance to own the newest Uniforms, Weapon Variants and Emotes before everybody else." as the very last point for reasons to buy the Black Ops Pass.
Edit: Found what the original page was called so if anyone can get to the original page here https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2018-10/unlock-a-better-black-ops-4-with-black-ops-pass?ET_RID=2854150&ET_CID=4233715
Which....article? I haven't shared any links lmao.
It's not hard my dude. First result for "ricochet announcement" on the GOOG
They've already confirmed that Rebirth Island will be playable alongside Caldera.
Here's the blog post confirming it.
Hidden radios around the maps, cutscenes, dialogue, and Easter Eggs as a whole are where we get most of the storyline information from. Some of the stuff that you never hear about on maps was officially released by Treyarch, after Zombies Chronicles, on this poster. It's pretty hard to read but Mr. RoflWaffles put together this website to help out with that problem.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Treyarch also released a comic series that shows some events in the story (Victis collecting the Kronorium and Richtofen grabbing the blood vials specifically)
Edit 2: The poster and website are not up to date with BO4 and only tell the story up to BO3
In this week's weekly briefing they didn't mention anything about nerfs or bug fixes. Here's the entirety of the info on Warzone:

Don't expect anything spectacular to be happening in the mid-season update.

You're getting what you paid for, unless you didn't read.
I can't seem to find the part where it included these "DLC weapon base variants."
Sounds like you guys are just being greedy and entitled.
http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Zombies_(Treyarch)/Story
To all people who think CoD is a low effort game with no work put into it and hate it, i encourage you to look into the Zombies part of is which this art is for. It has the most insane story to it, with multiverse and more and is highly enjoyable. The picture above is the official timeline and a link to the...multiple page document about the storyline.
It is an 8 team double elimination bracket for relegation. Section 2.4 of the handbook.
That's weird, they announced that Warzone Pacific would be on the Vanguard engine: https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/10/vanguard-launch-pre-season-one-warzone-pacific-roadmap
>Built on the same tech and engine as Call of Duty: Vanguard, this map is visually appealing as it is ready to support this new game’s armaments, and will support fully optimized cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-gen support.
So I thought you'd like this, according to the new COD Weekly briefing, the Maxis bundle drops this week. It says "first up," so my guess is tomorrow at noon. I can't wait!
I’m talking about this major rework/update. Did you prefer the first 6 months of WW2? Or the rework?
I always like to refer to COD Zombies as a "sleeper hit" because of this. Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, would expect COD to come up with anything as deep as some of the more recognized lore-heavy games, like Destiny, TES or the Souls games. But it is actually up there.
The game mode started out simple and basic with its story, but Jason Blundell took charge as the creative director around 2013, and turned it into a complete 180. A story about killing Nazi zombies with a side of time travel shenanigans went straight to mythical-ville, with Lovecraft-inspired creatures and themes, and even tackling the multiverse. The story became incredibly convoluted to the point where they made an official timeline to cover all the events across all the possible dimensions and timelines in the story (up to Black Ops 3), and it's still confusing as shit.
>In addition to the return of the Pack-a-Punch machine to transform your weapon, all weapons will now have a rarity associated with them. The higher the rarity, the greater the damage output and attachments for the weapon. For the first time, this will allow any weapon in the game to be sustainable in later rounds. This also adds more variety and fun to finding new weapons through Wall Buys and the Mystery Box.
I thought that too but the /u/todredmi proved me wrong:
>“Despite its “retro” interior, this subway system boasts incredible safety standards; it will not travel to a station that falls outside the safe area during Battle Royale matches, nor move a single inch if there is any conflict aboard its cars.”
>Directly from the blog post. It shouldn’t ever be put into the gas.
Here's the Pro League Handbook, prizing is on page 19 https://www.callofduty.com/content/dam/atvi/callofduty/esports-new/2019-rules/2019_Pro_League_HB.pdf
Placing | Prize Money |
---|---|
Base Prizing | $44,375 |
Regular Season Per Win | $2,500 |
1st place | $500,000 |
2nd place | $300,000 |
3rd place | $200,000 |
4th place | $100,000 |
5th & 6th place | $43,750 |
7th & 8th place | $18,750 |
9th & 10th place | $12,500 |
Most a team can make: base prizing ($44,375) + $2,500x22 + $500,000 = $599,375
It's pre planned highlights with some of your stats is all

Black Ops 4 features two separate stories. The maps Voyage of the Damned and IX are based in an entirely new story, unconnected to the last 10 Years of what we call the Primis story. You’ll be able to go into those on the exact same page as everyone else. That’s the main reason they’ve started a new story. To get new people involved.
However, if you want to get caught up with Primis ready for Blood of the Dead, there’s a couple of things you can do.
Treyarch released a DLC sometime last year that remade a lot of classic maps and released a timeline of the events as they themselves understand them, up to the end of Black Ops 3. It’s not very readable because they’ve hidden stuff in it, but it’s there. Beware that there are multiple timelines at work here. It really is quite complicated.
https://www.callofduty.com/zombieschronicles/timeline
A group of people in the zombies community maintain a website called kronorium.com. They’ve built a book that is a bit easier to navigate for the timeline.
http://www.kronorium.com/tools/book/
However, the timeline is still quite cryptic. If you’re still not satisfied I can only recommend that there will probably be quite a few “Zombies Story so Far” videos knocking about on YouTube in the run up to Oct 12th. Zombies is driven by the community. To do the Eggs and Crack the cyphers. We’re a passionate bunch!
Edit: This video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYZZoh5ax0o seems to be quite well made, and uses the Timeline as a reference. Not keen on where it starts, but hey ho.
16 teams compete in Stage 1 of the LAN League. Top 2 in each of the 4 groups compete at Stage 1 finals, qualify for pool play at MLG Anaheim, and advance to Stage 2. Third place in each group get into pool play at Anaheim and Stage 2, but don't compete at Stage 1 finals. Bottom of each group compete at Anaheim in relegation matches against winners of regional qualifying tournaments for the final spots in Stage 2.
In Stage 2, top 2 from each group qualify for Stage 2 finals. All 16 teams will be joined by 16 teams from Last Chance Qualifier tournaments to make the 32 team field at Champs.
They explain it here: https://www.callofduty.com/esports/story/2017-02/CWL_2017_SeasonDetails
They just posted a progress report on the anti-cheat about Asia. Unless, I’m just stupid and missing something https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/12/RICOCHET-Anti-Cheat-Progress-Report-12-07-Call-of-Duty-Warzone-Pacific
Warzone will be the first title to receive the driver, launching alongside the Pacific update in December. The kernel-level driver, which is one element of the multi-faceted RICOCHET Anti-Cheat system, will be added to Call of Duty: Vanguard at a later date.

They had a blog post about it here: https://www.callofduty.com/blog/2021/07/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-zombies-story-so-far
Basically a German experiment from WW2 failed and brought zombies into the normal world but luckily they were contained and killed 2 weeks later. Now a group of Russians called omega came and redid the experiment and are now trying to use zombies to take over the world and it’s an arms race between omega and requiem (the American group) to try to win the Cold War with the stuff they got from the dimension the zombies came from. That’s a brief story of why things are happening at least before Mauer der toten (once again just read the blog post)
> The towering Downtown complex across from the Financial District is here to stay after its tenant decided to move back West to sunny Los Angeles. This point of interest, now referred to by Operators as Downtown Tower, has had its vault opened and cleared of valuables, but remains a vast and strategically valuable location to dominate your enemies from.
> Although it may be under new management, expect the meta tactics you learned during the ’80s Action Heroes event to come in handy.

I mean this was the first thing I found when I googled it, but we've known for a while. Season one is ending soon, (you can see that where it tells you how much time is left on the battle pass) and Cold War already got it's season 2 update last night.
