Yeah it's amazing. It lets you listen to music in sync with anyone in the world. You can create a virtual room and then take turns DJing with as many people as you want. You can also vote on the stuff thats playing and save it to playlists for later.

Totally agree there should be a way to jam out with friends at the same time via Spotify! Thats why I made JQBX. Android is coming soon, should be out in like a month or so. There's a Mac Desktop and iOS version now though: https://www.jqbx.fm
If you sign up for the mailing list I'll shoot you an email when Android comes out!
hear hear.. I also started around the time AudioGalaxy went down. -> roomx
Cheers... Remember to donate once in a while
These days I use the program JQBX.fm to chat and listen to music like we did at SLSK back in the old days.
(I am in room Pizza & Beer if anyone else want to join in)
I've got it downloaded too, but the reason why I want it on Spotify is because I've been on this app called JQBX where you take turns DJing up tracks, which integrates with Spotify Premium. I need to expose people to the greatness that is Nostalgia Ultra, haha
I use JQBX ... I have changed my listening habits after I discovered this platform (that runs with Spotify) . JQBX lets you be a DJ, join a party, or just kick back and listen to music with friends or strangers from all over the world in real time.
https://www.jqbx.fm/ - community DJ parties via Spotify, like what turntable.fm was
https://www.spotifynewmusic.com/ - browse newest releases on Spotify
http://radio.garden - browse radio stations all around the world
Scaller - Unknown
Glaskaca - Stædig
If you like these two, I will post more
We play a lot like this in room Chill Vibes in the Spotify DJ program www.jqbx.fm
There's this cool app which I wish would gain more traction: https://www.jqbx.fm/. Links to Spotify, so you can have listening parties. Haven't used it in a while, but I would love to see a Sturgill/altcountry room up and running.
Alright. I'll bite. :)
I'll DJ a room filled with music that is guaranteed to be the most awful goddamn stuff I can find. It'll be AWESOME.
Thanks, glad you like it!
I plan to keep it free forever. I might open source it in the future (depends on how popular it gets / how much work it seems still needs to get done). If you want to be kept in the loop on updates, sign up for the mailing list, it's at the bottom of the landing page (https://www.jqbx.fm).
Some of my friends at work have been using https://www.jqbx.fm/ to share music with each other live while we work but we're running into some hiccups. Anyone have any other alternatives? It's pretty nifty.
(Also, does Indieheads have something like this?)
Seems like an ad indeed. They don't have a single line of code written.
There is jqbx.fm already up and running, but require a Spotify subscription.
BeatSense.com ain't, but I rather call it a turntable.fm's takeoff than a copycat
My group uses a 3rd party site called JQBX. It connects to your Spotify account, pulls your playlists and all, and basically does the same thing, by syncing the music between people who join the your lobby. It works fine for us, so it may be a decent workaround.
Ewan ko kung tatalab to, pero try mong isetup yung https://www.jqbx.fm/ kaso baka Spotify API rin gamit nito so might not be able to bypass the blocking your office has.
Di ba option mag-mobile data haha or save the playlist locally
TIL you can create DJ rooms with Spotify Premium and https://www.jqbx.fm/.
TIL unsure when it was introduced, but multiple clipboards are supported in Windows already. (Win key + V)
Congtrats with the 10!
If you like meeting new fellow music-nerds, maybe try www.jqbx.fm I am roomx there... One of my fave tracks these days: Scaller - The Unknown

If you’re into TV or music there are live/shared streaming websites & apps where you can hang out with other stoners to listen to music together or watch a show or something. TreesNetwork is what I use for company with stoners for shows/movies and JQBX is what I use for music.
Can’t give you any advice for meeting other smokers IRL though.
Everynoise.com is a site which maps tons of different music genres, you can click on different ones and it displays different artists in each genre. The site also has playlists, each one composed of a bunch of different songs in a particular genre.
JQBX Is a site/app where anyone can take turns DJing in different chat rooms, great for finding new music and sharing music you like.
Last.fm is fantastic overall. I mostly use it for looking at stats of what songs/artists/albums I listen to. But if I want to find some new artists, I’ll use the “neighbors” feature on the site and look at different people’s profiles to see what their top artists are or what they’ve been scrobbling lately.
Also, independent/college radio stations are great for discovering new music. I love KEXP. KZSU, KCRW, KZSC, and Triple J are some good stations too.

If you want more, join us at www.jqbx.fm for dj-radio'ing... I am in Pizza & Beer
use either dicord you can join in trough the PC app.
you could host a discord bot who can play music in a voice channel and everybody can add music, and u can enable fairplay that a person gets to play 1 song then the next then the next.
or there is https://www.jqbx.fm/ but i dont know if this would work on phones.
Definitely JQBX
If you have premium, you can listen in different genre/vibe based rooms, getting to hear a ton of different music from other people around the world as well as be a DJ yourself.
It uses spotify to play each track, so you're actually helping artists get paid and recognized as well when 15-20 people hear their track all at once.
I got into Spotify just recently, yes a different planet to GPM and YTM.
So much more to Spotify, lots of free and simple to use, playlist / mixtape curators and managers.
And to top it all there is JQBX
If you have Spotify premium, there is a new app/site called JQBX that lets people DJ together (like the old turntable.fm). I made a room for Jays. Thought it might be fun for during the weekdays when most are online.

This is the chat room that based on Spotify API(you can place songs in the queque, chat with peolple)
But it requries SPOTIFY subsription.
This is the best I can recommend.(They have Android/Apple app as well)
Spotify Release Radar is consistently good for me and I use JQBX.fm to listen to music at work, which allows me to link my Spotify account to the site where I can play music with other people. I've saved hundreds of songs to my playlists this way and discover new music every day.
Just set up an auto hotkey to mute the bot on your end (or as an admin, mute it for your group)!
All other solutions involve more work than is justified.
Discord TOS contain no mention of automating the discord client. You will not be banned, and can appeal any potential bans. Additionally, autohotkey doesn't inject anything into your game or discord client. Detecting it is not only difficult, but also implies that those detecting it have installed spyware on your computer!
Apparently you can be in a private call and a server call on discord at the same time. So you can use the private call for party-comms, and in the server call only leave groovy unmuted.
Depending on how deadset you are on groovy, the best alternative is just using a browser-based music sync service like JQBX instead, and autohotkey mute your browser.
Cool. Are you also on www.jqbx.fm for Spotify?
Would be nice if you could share it there. Check out for example room Pizza & Beer for sharing nice music /songs and playlists....
Check out JQBX it's where I go to discover music. You can join a room and people from wherever will play songs for your one after another- you can also chat w/ them and save the ones you like for later, it's a fun community.
JQBX (Jukebox) by far. If you have Spotify premium you can use this app to join chat rooms with other people and take turns playing songs for everyone. People thumbs up/thumbs down the songs and if you like the song you can “Star” it to add to a new Spotify playlist to listen to later.
I have found so much new music on here it’s amazing!
Start visiting the profiles of artists/bands you like. On the bottom of their main page they have "Artists Playlists", usually they are filled with some good stuff! There is also a "Discovered on"-section if you click on the "About"-tab.
Also, try out JQBX. It's an application where you can be "a virtual dj", and discover new music by listening together with other users in real time. It's pretty neat.
Great way to share music with other heads, online JQBX (https://www.jqbx.fm) is kind of like radio but it's user generated so the mix tends to flow better and be more diverse. Must be a Spotify premium user.
I know this sounds like an ad, but it's not. It's just something I found that I love and really enjoy for playing and sharing music and want other like minded people to join as well.
Come visit my room and play some songs you dig, Blue Sharky's Lair.
Edit: added room name

JQBX is a newish platform for community DJing. Basically a chat room with music the users control by taking turns on the DJ booth. The link should have taken you to the web app (there also stand-alone apps for mac/windows/mobile) -- which would likely be empty since it was the middle of the night over here.
When in the room, click on 'Be a DJ" and fill your queue with songs. JQBX adds two playlists automatically to your Spotify: JQBX Queue and JQBX Starred. You populate the Queue playlist with what you want to spin, hit sync in the app and you're ready. I'm usually in it (this room or others I like) during work hours (EST).
Here's a FAQ from JQBX themselves: https://www.jqbx.fm/faq
If you have Spotify premium try https://www.jqbx.fm . It lets you listen to music with other people- theres some great groups on there that play stuff I never knew about. You can 'star' tracks that you like and they go straight to your Spotify playlists.
Try https://www.jqbx.fm (i'm in the Indie while you murder room) it lets you play/discover music with other people in real time. Ever since I started using it I've discovered tons more music than before. I don't know if you ever used turntable.fm in the past but it's like that except it uses spotify and you can save music super easily.
The website is https://www.jqbx.fm we let you play music in sync with friends or strangers anywhere in the world. It's super useful for getting new music recommendations and passively listening to hours of music (I used it while I was working on this).
jqbx.fm is much better, because it works of off Spotify rather than YouTube/Soundcloud who have low bitrate audio. Although, it requires everyone using it to have Spotify premium (which is Spotify's limitation, not jqbx.fm's.)
I feel the same way! I like the way that Spotify curates but I wanted a more fun and complete way to discover new music that I would have never found myself. JQBX.FM is what I have been using at work lately and I've found lots of cool new music in the different rooms and I like the interactive aspect of it also.
