Maybe I can also Recommend Tubemate Works like youtube but you get to download the video
In a variety of different resolutions
You can convert straight to MP3 or whathaveyou
It has a recommended Video to MP3 Converter for if you want to download at a higher quality and convert to a better sounding MP3 or whatever
You can queue up as many Videos to Download as you want and it'll download 2 at a time
It'll download to whereever you want, including on SD card for people with locked main storage
It has the option to delete your download history with or without the Videos saved on your phone
You can watch videos through it (Looks just like youtube)
If you prefer normal youtube it'll give you the option to Download the video when you hit the "Share" in the normal youtube app, All you gotta do is choose the Tubemate Icon and it''ll open the app, go to the video, prepare it for downloading and then you just is choose a resolution
If you're on mobile, use Tubemate. I have been using it for years and it works on most streaming sites including erome. Just install apk, open link in tubemate and then press play. Instead of playback, video will start downloading. Get it from http://tubemate.net/
tbh your best bet is to grab something like http://tubemate.net/ or Video Downloader - you're paying for the privilege so you should get the res you want.
I have Red and afaik there's no way to get another options for offline viewing which is a darn shame.
Pretty easily actually, I download a YouTube video using tubemate then I use Video to gif (there's a lot of gif creating apps but I prefer this one because it let's you clip the milliseconds and has a lot more options than most) then I use a text maker like ezgif. Unfortunately ezgif is the largest text maker I can find that is usable on a phone (12mb max)
You have to be able to root an Amazon tablet to get play services on it now. The HDX is tricky and not a get your feet wet trying to mod tablet. This video may help but I would just use TubeMate http://tubemate.net/. It's really a great YouTube app.
Some of these require root

TubeMate Download Youtube Videos, extract audio from Youtube videos, etc.

You should just stick the pre-installed apps that you think you won't use particularly, into a folder, onto another page. Out of sight, out of mind. Don't think you could uninstall default apps.
As for music, TubeMate is amazing (http://www.ubergizmo.com/how-to/download-music-youtube-android/, http://tubemate.net/) as I get to download YT videos into music or keep them in video form, and you could use the music player to listen to songs that way, album art included and all.
As for Google, you need the account for practically everything on Android. Not sure what specific issues you have with them.
You need google cardboard or a Gear VR (Samsung note 5, S6, S7). You can download the video with this apk called Tubemate (google it). This apk got taken down so its not on google play. You gotta download it from the tubemate site.
Honestly I've only download modified ad-free versions of the app from Android-Zone. Not sure where to get it officially. Quick Google search makes me think TubeMate.net is the legitimate source.
TubeMate. I have 2 young kids and I literally can't watch all these YouTube videos throughout the day. So, TubeMate saves the videos to my phone and I watch them all after the kids have gone to bed.
I use it almost every day. It's not on the marketplace as it violates Google's TOS.
Most of the ones in the play store are garbage that don't work, this is the best one. It downloads from YouTube and then converts them. When prompted download the converter. With YouTube you can get rarities, remixes, new releases and live versions easily.
TubeMate: http://tubemate.net/
Gives you every available format and you select which one works for your purposes. Redirects for MP3s but that is also solid.
Also if on Android try tubemate, does the same thing but directly to your phone/tablet.
TubeMate (Don't get any of the copies on the market, they are shitty ad/virus-ridden clones) is able to grab videos even if they are blocked on mobile. And although it is a downloader, it still gives you an option to stream the video instead of downloading it.
Try out TubeMate, works really well...on mobile at least.
Not an official app store app, because obviously, but look around at reviews if you're sketchy of downloading APIs.
One of the best mobile downloaders for YT, FB, twadder, etc.
If you wanna download on mobile I use TubeMate, it's great for quickly grabbing videos before a flight etc and supports multithreaded downloads!
Vanced + TubeMate is the ultimate combo.
If you have Android, you can use TubeMate to download the videos and then play the audio in the background. The app has a dumpster fire UI, but it works like a charm!
It was banned from Google Play because Google doesn't allow apps that download Youtube videos. I've downloaded it from Android Freeware without issue. To install it, you need to enable "Unknown Sources" in the settings.
For iOS, I imagine there are similar apps but you'll need to be jailbroken.
TubeMate also can download videos in a playlist at a time.
I tested a playlist containing more than 20 videos.
Barely work? The latest version of TubeMate works well.
Why don't you try it at http://tubemate.net?
If you were on PC, it would be a struggle.
But on Android, if it's for Youtube only, your best option by far is Tubemate. This is one of the rare that'll download above 720P. No restrictions at all.
Download from the official page to avoid crappy copies : http://tubemate.net/
If you're on Android check out an app called TubeMate. Works really well for downloading videos or just audio from YouTube. This app is literally the only way I could've caught up on CR.
Note: It's not on the Play Store. You have to enable third-party app installations and download it from one of the mirrors on their website.
If you can find a video on YouTube then you can use any multitude of YouTube downloaders to grab just the audio. On Android I personally use an app called Tubemate. Just pick either the AAC or MP3 options. Just be aware that the MP3 option requires Tubemate to convert the AAC file, which can use up battery and might take a while on a low-end phone. It's generally best to just use AAC since most phones support that anyway.
Relay for Reddit
Pony Motes
: Essentially BPM for Relay
Impossible Game
: It's lots of fun
If you have Android I can recommend SL3 Launcher
or `Smart Launcher 3
. It's a lightweight launcher app that I quite like. Saves some battery too. Pro version has some nice gimmick but most people won't need them.
ES File Explorer
That tool is godmode of all file managers.
MX Player
It's like VLC but for Android.
Plague Inc.
Simulate Destroying Humanity on your phone
Snapchat
for your plounge-flirting needs
TubeMate
This one isn't on the play market but you can get it from http://tubemate.net/ . It downloads youtube videos, optionally as MP3
dict.cc
If you're not english native or if you are and talk to people in another language, this one is pretty nice. Can also download dictionaries to local so you won't need a mobile internet connection
Camera FV-5
Very professional Camera app that allows long exposure and setting a lot of stuff you can't on any other Camera app. Cinema FV-5
for recording videos, but the it's slightly buggy and costs monee.
Android Troper
tvtropes on your phone. Why not?
A screen filter app. They're nice when it's dark.
Urban Dictionary
app. Self explanatory.
I haven't tried it on a non-Google device, but give OGYouTube a shot, and/or TubeMate.
Also I think you can just use any web browser to play them at https://m.youtube.com
You could try using Tubemate to download videos from YouTube and other video sharing websites, at different resolutions. It's not available in the Play Store, so you'll have to manually download and install it from here. :)
You should try using Tubemate directly on your phone. It has the option to download a Youtube video as MP3.
And if the music does not apear in your player right after downloading it try to play from Tubemate once and select the player of your preference and next time you try to play the music it should be there.
Link for TubeMate Site as you'll will not find on Google Play Store :D
Be aware that El Bananero uses an insane amount of argentinian slang and makes references to his old videos all the time, so you're probably better off listening to the stand-up comedians that I mentioned early.
If you have a smartphone, here's an app that lets download youtube videos and extract their audio so you listen to them like a podcast.
Peter Capusotto and Carlos Donoso are the only ones that actually take advantage of the visual department; so make sure to download their whole videos, not just the audio.
YouTube's native app will do that now. It's still rolling out but you can get it here on Android Police http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/12/05/youtube-gets-updated-material-design-apk-download/ if it's not available to you on the PlayStore yet. Otherwise TubeMate is an app I have used for a long time. http://tubemate.net/
Tubemate. You can't get it off of the play store since they removed it but the developers still want people to get it. It allows people to rip the audio from YouTube videos and save it as an mp3 file and let's you edit the artist, song name, and album so you get cover art after downloading. http://tubemate.net
Keep in mind the the real TubeMate does not have an apk on the Playstore because there are to many infected fake TubeMate's on the Playstore (their words not mine.) They do have some places that you can jump to from their website to get the real download which does not require anything but the APK itself. I don't even have the YouTube app on my tablet because I dont need it. http://tubemate.net/
