I know what are you talking I know the exact solution.....
FFBE actually has two graphics modes, one is for phones that are running on 1280x720 of higher, which has it's own status bar for time and battery status. It also shows more of the vertical background in battles in this mode.
The other one is used when the resolution of your phone is lower than 1280x720. The character sprites will be bigger but you will see less of the backgrounds as a tradeoff.

What you need to do is to download this app, and set your phone resolution to anything lower than 1280x720. I suggest 960x540.
Be warned that this app at worst case scenario to cause your phone to bootloop again and again. If that happens remove the battery of your phone, wait for about 15 seconds, boot and phone. If that doesn't work. You will need to reset to factory settings.
Found this option on the play store, although I haven't used it and only found it through a five second google so proceed at your own risk. If you look around on the xda forums you could probably find other solutions too.

Use that and set it to 1920 width 1080 height DPI 401 based off calculator but everyone says 420 is the correct DPI at 1080p. You will notice quicker performance in maps zoom and flick around refresh faster. Main reason I wanted it was for less heat. I hate using the phone and my hands feel like the phone was in the fireplace for a few seconds.
Gabriel kernel with zzmoove CPU governor configured with profile 9 zzinz.
You could also use Nomone to reduce your screen resolution to 1920x1080 and you'd gain more FPS.
Hope you can see this, I did find a workaround.
Install this app. You need root access.
(Take a backup, just in case).
Set width = 1280, height = 2048, dpi = 320.
Now you get black bars on both top and bottom. The result is far from perfect. You could see some glitches, especially if you have enabled on-screen navigation buttons. But it's better than before.
You'll probably want to undo this for all non-gaming apps. It's quite the hassle if you play games a lot.
Maybe someone should try running these benchmarks after lowering the S6 resolution to 1080p or 720p.

Is your device rooted? I might have a workaround that requires root, not 100% sure it's solved my problem, need to test more, but I've had like 90% less crashes since I did this one weird trick. DeNA hates it! XD
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer&hl=en
Using NOMone Resolution Changer, I forced my device resolution down to 720p, and since then I've run around 20 stages with only two crashes so far. Seems like a huge difference compared to a crash every 2-3 stages, but I'm not ruling out this being an incredibly lucky crash-free streak.
There's no reason this solution should work, the S4 and S5 both use the same native resolution, while the S5 has a better processor and GPU. Yet, the S5 crashes nonstop on FFRK (and only FFRK) at 1080 while the S4 has no problems with it (other than being older and slower). :/
If you're rooted you can try to decrease the resolution whenever you play.
Here's a link for it. Here
You can search for some alternatives in changing your resolution to add some FPS. Hope this helps.
Fulmics is great if you want the stock camera quality, but I just can't get over how bad visually LG's skin looks like.
Downscaling will improve performance but I don't think it's so noticeable on CM13. It's much more noticeable on Fulmics. It has no effect on battery life though. You can try it with this app if it still works.
Found this on the play store. Proceed at your own risk though, I haven't used it and haven't done any research other than a five second google.
I'm actually not sure what will give you access to Game Tuner then. Are you rooted? If you are this might work. I'm not rooted and haven't done any research on it though so proceed at your own risk.

Pokemon Go, on my LG G3 on stock/rooted android 4.4, gets very hot after ten minutes, start to lose FPS hot.
Seems to run just fine in 720p mode using NOMone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer, still gets warm but went an hour and wasn't losing any FPS.
And the stock battery...one hour and down to 66% playing Pokemon Go. The LG G3's screen eats up a lot of electricity because it was one of the first 1440p phone screens.
I just bought a 9000mAh extended battery for mine, but if you aren't ready for tweaking the LG G3 might be a little lower-end than you want for Pokemon Go.
Going to try a throttler to see if I can keep it from going too hot in default 1440p. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.sineo.android.noFrillsCPU&hl=en
I would also like to add; I LOVE being able to read any text books, manga, or comics without ever zooming thanks to the 1440p screen. And for the price, nothing matches it's specs.
ADB will certainly work but the easiest way is to use an app like resolution changer to change resolution and dpi.
Then changing the dpi will mess up stock apps like dialer and camera so you will need to set the dpi back to standard using the Xposed module App settings. If you stillck to default resolution its 640 dpi. If you go down to 1080x1920 standard dpi is 480.
The apps you should modify back to stock dpi are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/general/changing-note-4-dpi-settings-to-change-t2923408
You could use this app. It requires root though, so you may need to root your device, can't speak for non-root resolution changer.
I understand what you mean, there is an app on the Play store called NOMone Resolution Changer that will allow you to control your resolution, you will of course need a root in order to do it. Then in the app just change it to a lower resolution until you are not covering that black bar.
I've never done it myself but I see a lot of people recommending NOMone. If you're wary of it getting bricked again, I would just avoid doing it!
I'm using this to change my resolution bigger(using galaxy note template), the resolution still drop but not so bad.
You need root, but you could try this. Most likely though, going to 1080p will only gets you 5-6 fps tops and it will change the entire device to 1080p, not just the game.
I did it with adb shell via terminal in Linux, but there is also an app that does it listed at the bottom here. Of course, you'll need to be rooted. Just be very sure that you're putting in the correct resolution for your screen size. For the nexus 5 it is 1280 x 720.

No problem. If you need any help, let me know. Otherwise, this is what program I use and it's perfect. Just remember that the DPI needs to be changed too (should all be in the article).
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer
You could try something like Resolution Changer and set the DPI to 360 or so. This should do the trick. After you reboot your device, you should be able to find Hearthstone in Google Play.
This article missed one of the most important tweaks to stop overheating, increase performance, and prolong battery life, all you need to do is; disable "mount namespace separation" in the app "SuperSU" (requires root)
HERE ARE SOME OTHER TWEAKS
-To fix the slow/choppy scrolling problem with chrome type in this url chrome://flags/ and then change Maximum tiles for interest area to 512 and then click "relaunch now"
-i use this to change the resolution of displayed on my device (requires the phone to be rooted). You cannot change the physical resolution of your device but you can change the displayed resolution of your device, this will help with performance because since your phone's gpu does not need to draw as many pixels it will be under a lesser load, meaning it is using less power resulting in a lower temperature and a longer battery life (these effects are most noticeable while gaming). use the settings 720 1280 320 or 1080 1920 480
-lower your screen brightness
-disabling features like wifi, bluetooth, data or gps that you are not using,
-here is my tutorial on how lower the cpu's frequency to stop the phone from over heating, it also helps with battery life or you could raise the minimum frequency when the screen is on for better performance or you could raise the minimum frequency when the screen is on for better performance
I use Illusion 6.0 on my VS985 (Verizon LG G3) and it works the best.
1: Illusion already has that, lol. Not as in depth, but look: http://imgur.com/IxZTqbW,gaeJjJS#0
2: There is no dual window built in, but you may be able to get someone on the play store. Possibly even the Xposed Framework if you are feeling risky (it may cause bugs, and you cannot report bugs to the ROM creators if you have the Xposed framework installed. (Yes, Xposed has ART/L support now on alpha, if you did not know.) There are some Xposed modules for it (sorta), but I've found none that work on Lollipop yet.
Xposed for ART: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Native Clipboard: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.dhm47.nativeclipboard
On a side note, there is an Xposed module that restores the native clipboard the G3 has on stock. It's not exact, nor is it a replication of it but it looks nice and works well!
Another side note: Both those ROMs have knock off and knock on (double tap to wake and double tap to sleep), but not knock code and it won't get it either. I miss that too.
Last side note: Illusion's SELinux is already on permissive instead of enforcing, and you can install the LG QRemote. Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2568914
3: Resolution changer (also changes DPI): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer&hl=en DPI changer(If you JUST want to change the DPI): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oumugai.densityadjuster&hl=en I use 500DPI on the default resolution and it looks nice!
If I remember right I'm pretty sure you have to be rooted as well.
those temps are fine here are some tips to help lower your temp

Maybe something like this? Haven't used it myself so try at your own risk... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer
Not same person, but NOMone works for me on rooted android 4.4.2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer&hl=en
That might be useful. It looks like it affects more than just games, though.
Try this app Have not tried it myself.
Edit: Seems you need to root your phone to make it work.
That's not the right app, this is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer
If you're rooted you can use this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer
I just set it to the G2 display settings and it worked fine.
I 2nd that. Soon (within a couple weeks IIRC) after getting my phone I ditched the LG Weather app. Mostly due to the fact that I didn't want location on all the time yet the app wouldn't let you just TELL it which city to report on. I noticed a speed improvement then. And I've always been a fan of Nova due to its speed and customizability. I think you made some great choices and you'll get a lot more out of your phone now.
You may also want to give NOMone Resolution Changer a shot. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomone.resolution_changer A LOT of people swear by the increase in speed when you drop the display from 4K to 2K.
