As an alternative to Typing Hero, I've been using Texpand, which seems to have the same functionality, but the pro version is a one-time payment as opposed to a subscription model. The free version offers 10 shortcuts which has been enough for my purposes anyway.
I used to use this feature but then replaced with this which works far better
Has custom definitions. Has a pop up to choose the shortcut as you type.
You can couple it with this app to create a shortcut for it.
But, I think i'll just stick with "evolve" and mentally filter those I don't want, it's not that many.
In all the time that I've used Google Keyboard (3ish years), I've never seen the text shortcuts work. This is across the 6P, Note 5, Note 7, S7 Edge, S7, and now Pixel XL. It just seems to be a low priority bug with the keyboard, I guess.
I've used this in the past and it was alright, although it's been a while so I'm not really sure as to the state of it

Maybe it would be to your liking.
Text shortcuts. I'm currently using an app called Texpand that allows the same functionality like type out an entire copypasta with a few clicks. However, I'd love to see it built into the system.
Are text expansion apps close enough? This one is well-reviewed: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand&hl=en. You can also get similar functionality on Google keyboard by adding phrases to your personal dictionary and entering some letters/symbols to use as a shortcut. An app need to see you 'what you type' to give suggestions. Google keyboard limits it's functionality to give you more privacy. I won't recommend you using any keyboard that sees what you type in log in fields.
Use texpand if you want to add custom short cuts for words. ( Not sure if it will work in log in fields ) Texpand . You can create shortcut for any sentence or word.
You could use "Texpand" I guess. It's not a Xposed module, but it does what you're trying to achieve. You can set text to shortcuts and it expands automatically as you type the shortcut letter. Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
I would suggest the app Texpand. It's not a keyboard, but it allows you to set keyword shortcuts and even have dynamic values, like date and other things.
Unfortunately not, but there's a cool app; Textpand, which is a text expander, which does exactly this. I used it for years, but got used to Gboard.
It isn't a preset, it is just showcasing the use of Texpand and KWGT. I can share the images of how I created the phrase lists, but I think you will need Texpand Pro to make more than 10 expansions. It is well worth it because it integrates with Tasker built in variables.
In macrodroid That is via sms possible....but I use texpand for number or word trigger try this app it may be suitable for u...

Would be helpful to see your profile and task, anything else is speculation.
So please Export your profile by a long tap on profile name - profile is marked, then tap on 3 dots menu, select Export and then DESCRIPTION TO CLIPBOARD. Paste that DESCRIPTION into a comment below formatted as Code Block. Repeat for the linked task.
For the date/time stamp you could use AutoNotification Tile I think, my personal preference is
Texpand 🚀 Text Expander as the use of tiles with my phone is very buggy (EMUI related, not Tasker/AN). Very mighty tool for desktop use is AutoHotKey. Define a hotkey like for Ctrl-Alt-T and insert your pre-formatted date/time stamp anywhere.
You can use Texpand, it's kind of AutoHotKey for Android. No need to open notifications just enter your abbrevaitions
I'm not sure at all if this is what you need, but I know an app ( texpand ) that allows you to set keywords linked with any kind of text messages, and when you type the keyword there is a tiny pop up on the text zone and if you click on it it'll replace it with the text
Texpand - Text Expander

Texpand is an abbreviation expansion typing aid that assists you to quickly enter frequently used phrases simply by typing short abbreviations. By systematically specifying abbreviations to frequently used phrases Texpand can help you save thousands of keystrokes and several hours per week.
Do you use Texpand by any chance? I use it for quick text expansion. I find it quicker to just type out a couple of letters than to hold down a key and access it’s shortcut. And I think NinType limits the shortcuts to a certain number of characters too, I haven’t been able to do multiple word shortcuts or long strings of combined words. so I use textpand instead. You should try it out, that way you don’t have to transfer your shortcuts between keyboards if you end up switching around!

Look into Texpand:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand&hl=en
This is the free version. No ads but limited number of shortcuts. Pro version is $2.99 and I recommend it for the unlimited shortcut amount.
>But I think this is a great example of why comment macros would be an extremely valuable feature to add to RiF... then it would be quick and easy to make a "ok, thanks for reporting, I'm looking into it" (or, for another example, a "this post has been removed for being off topic...") kind of reply...
I haven't tried it but maybe this app would fulfill your needs? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
I use the app Texpand, which is a text expander. So you can type some characters and if it matches preset snippets it will expand that or show suggestions if you want to.
It recently added Tasker support, so you can pass Tasker variables.
Does that help?
Texpand does what you want with any keyboard iirc
Texpand works pretty well for me.
Is there an alternative to Texpand that does not need internet permissions?
I use an app called textpand, so every time I type 'shr' and press space, ¯_(ツ)_/¯ shows up
Use Daywise
Have you tried Texpand?
You could use Texpand.
Texpand is an awesome solution!
You can setup a shortcut in Texpand and it will insert time and date.
I think this would be a good feature to add (as well as more search keyword options in general, ex. search by level, the ability to force a keyword search so I can search for nicknames that start with "96", etc.). But in the meantime, there are apps that can essentially do this for you. I know I have an iOS friend that uses these, but I don't know offhand what the app is. For Android, I use Texpand: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand&hl=en
Basically the idea is you can set up keywords that can then be replaced with the text of your choice. So for example, let's say I wanted to set up a search string that would find all 100% IV candidates for Charmanders on Community Day (an incredibly long string that no one in their right mind would memorize). I could find the actual Pokemon Go search string, and save that in Texpand with the keyword "char100" (or whatever). Then whenever I type "char100" in a text field, a little button will pop up allowing me to replace that word with the string I saved earlier, if I wanted to.
It's a pretty flexible piece of software; you can, for example, set it to automatically replace as soon as you finish typing the word (as opposed to using the button). My personal favourite feature is that Texpand will attempt to predict when you're typing the word in question, and show you the button prematurely. For example, let's say I'm using "char100" as my replacement keyword. If I type "cha," Texpand will already offer to replace what I've typed. This is cool because you don't even have to type in the whole word, and if you're actually just trying to type "Charmander" you can just ignore the button and it'll go away as soon as you deviate from its stored keywords.
Right now I just use it to allow me to look for all my 100iv pokemon (which I've named with a music note at the beginning before realizing I can't type that with my normal keyboard--oops), but in theory I could be using it for all sorts of things like mass evolve queries, community day 100iv checks, etc.
Well I’m no bot, but here’s that link

You're looking for an app like Texpand
I did this for several years in most documents, notes, tasks (Todoist) and for naming, e.g. Folders etc. Previously on MacOS, iOS and now on Windows and Android. Most people sad it's stupid, useless, childish, too much work etc. Now that Emojis are more popular, more pople use them and it's "the new thing" -.-
Either way, I don't bear a grudge or similar haha
On Windows you can use an app like PhraseExpress, which is completely free, highly customizable and lets you create snippets, also with Emojis. I use that for a lot of stuff I write often and also to insert emojis quickly. You even have a shortcut to see all you shortcuts, so you can even get all your favorite Emojis there, too, (if you don't want to remember your snippets or don't want to write them.
On MacOS you can do the same with TextExpander, which I used previously on my Mac. PhraseExpress can also import all your TextExpander snippets, which is a really really nice feature and saved tons of work. TextExpander is also available on Windows, but PhraseExpress is free and even better with more options and features. MacOS also offers you a Emoji tool, which can be invoked anytime and anywhere by hitting Command + Control + Spacebar
On iOS you can just use the Emoji keyboard, which might be the fastest way. You can also use Text expansion, which is a built in feature in iOS. Just add them in keyboard settings for often used stuff.
Same goes for Android, here you can also use the Emojis, which are mostly integrated in the keyboard, e.g. GBoard (the Google Keyboard). Else you can use third party text expansion apps like Texpand, which is much faster, more reliable, more feature rich and has some really cool features like move/place the cursor (after inserting snippets).
Browser: As mentioned in the article, you can also access them with some apps and from browser. I personally like emojicopy.com, which is the fastest way for me on computer to find emojis, if I don't use emojis which are already in my text expansion apps. You can also create a Chrome web app of the page, so it will just open a windows with the page and you can directly get the emojis you like. Else there are also Browser plugins, e.g. for Chrome
Interested in answers. Here's something that can get the job done another way in the meantime https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
Sounds like you're looking for something like this
I haven't used it in years but I used to use an app called Textpand for this functionality.
Text Expander, Text Replacement • Texpand | 4.2 rating | Free with IAP | 100,000+ downloads | Search manually
> Tired of typing the same text— your phone number, email, stock replies —over and over? Texpand can help 😃 Just set up a shortcut (like “addrs") and whenever you type that, Texpand will replace it with a longer phrase, ...

I use Texpand for that. Dates, timestamp, and it goes a lot further than that if you need it to.
You can use any text expander type of app that programmatically inserts the date. This one does it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
I use Textpand for this which also has tasker integration.
I use an app called textpand, so every time I type 'shr' and press space, ¯_(ツ)_/¯ show up
This might do what you want? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
Perhaps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
Perhaps this I ve not tried
It is a easy enough thing to implement. But it is a bad idea to send everything you type to internet. So most programmers dont implement it.
Try
or grammarly keyboard or some such similar.
or Import the words to android dictionary yourself.

combine it with this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
then type something like !pidgey to text replace
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand&hl=en
Try this one, been using it since my Xperia Z days.
Have you tried using the Personal Dictionary? You could create a shortcut like "aa" for "â". (For some reason, it doesn't work on my personal phone.) Alternatively, you can try the app Texpand.
To create a new keyboard layout of your own it looks like you will need to dive into app development. There is info here and here and you can probably get good help on /r/androiddev.
Not too sure. I'd suggest loading some sweet macros via Textpand The pro version may be on sale until the end of today.
If you want shortcuts, just use Texpand.
Texpand seems really cool. Is an app to assign shortcuts to commonly use phrases.
For keyboard macros, try Texpand: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaiasmatewos.texpand
Check out Texpand
If the personal dictionary route doesn't work, there's Texpand.
Use this with simple shortcuts for the word you want to use
