Oh hey I made that graphic. Dang ol- op stealing memes.
Really though I don't care. Here's the slightly higher res version if anyone wants it: https://upload.teknik.io/PWhVq.png
Keep in mind I made this graphic in good faith that people wouldn't use it seriously. It's just a joke, please don't be an asshole about things.
well f.lux doesn't just make the screen brightness lower, but it also tints the screen red (to filter out the blue light specifically) to help promote better sleep. https://justgetflux.com/research.html
I use it on all my computers, have a different programme to do similar to f.lux on my phone & tablet, aaaaaaaand have a profile set up on the TV to tint the screen red as well. very nice.
That's cool! When I was in Japan I picked up an adapter for my 3DS that converts the charging port to micro USB. Now I just use my existing phone chargers for it. Something like this. You can probably find it even cheaper online.
EDIT: You can also order USB cables and forgo the adapter altogether. eBay has them for 17 cents USD with free shipping: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2m-USB-Charing-Power-Cable-Charger-Cord-Wire-for-Nintendo-3DS-DSi-NDSI/143269746958?hash=item215b8ad90e:g:96oAAOSwG4pc51fA
Use this InputRedirection guide to set things up so you can control your 3DS from your PC, then get a program like this to record/play back those inputs, and all should be good. (The program I linked is paid with a free trial, so just a warning.) You can't record touch screen inputs like this, but oh well.
Also, what's with all the people hating on cheats in this thread? It's not like this would do things that normal humans can't do.
Guess it's time to start lugging one of <em>these</em> around.
Way back in 2015 I got annoyed there wasn't a proper Android controller for the NDS. I started making one, but then real life became more interesting and I abandoned it. Quasi-recently I picked up a 3DS, and I figured I really should finally finish it. The 3DS version has a really alpha-looking console-based interface, but it works pretty well. I'll port the fancy interface from the NDS over to the 3DS whenever I've got some free time, but that's a bit of a scarce resource at the moment.
If you run into any issues, please let me know! I'll try to get to them asap. Any feature requests are equally welcome.
For any bored devs out there: the Readme on Github has a feature TODO list - pull requests are very much appreciated! (especially on the Android side of things. I'm not much of an Android developer).
After about 30 seconds of googling, I found this microphone on amazon which is probably way better than the 3ds mic.
The C-nub is pretty simple to swap out--it's only held in place with a pair of retainer loops. You can pry it out with a small screwdriver and snip the loops with a pair of scissors. The PSP-1000 nub can be simply pushed into place, although depending on the build quality of your replacements, you may or may not need to superglue it into place. Obviously will void your warranty.
The stick on the left is only a cover. It's kept in place with a bit of repositionable adhesive, but it isn't a true replacement if your rubber cover has come off completely. It will occasionally pop off with particularly intensive Smash-ing, so I've been debating whether I want to resort to superglue and damage the finish on the original pad. It also is a bit too thick for the n3DS to close complete, which is a shame. I'd love to find a replacement left pad to glue in, though, so I'll let you know if I find one.
EDIT: I found one on Amazon that I just ordered. It's a textured plastic grip--unfortunately, rubber's never worked out for me. https://www.amazon.com/Gam3Gear-Analog-Stick-Thumb-Nintendo/dp/B016ZO0E5K
More than that.
It drastically shortens the amount of code needed to make programs.
It allows for animations to be loaded from spritesheets rather than multiple images being loaded into memory individually and then swapped between manually.
It adds "entities" to be easily made which can be manipulated, unlike sprites which can only be displayed.
It adds "cameras" which can be switched between to allow for different views of the map as well as following a set entity. Think about having one camera zoomed out and another following the player, then being able to switch between both views. This only takes 7 lines of code in all to create using Sprite Tools.
It adds "rooms" which contain entities and cameras which can change where the entities in those rooms are rendered.
Version 2 will add collision detection between entities as well as invisible "fields" which are just a set of squares that can be used to prevent collision with the background map or can be used to switch between rooms.
There's a link to the Trello on the Github page, but I'll leave a link here too so you can see what the plan is: https://trello.com/b/Lbktl12Q/sprite-tools
The last time I've used the eShop app was when Pokemon X and Y were free (a few years ago) and I'm not banned, so this might be interesting.
tl;dr: Devs can use this to track the state of variables as shown here (among other things): https://twitter.com/SpriteToolsHB/status/812870634619289600
More features are planned in the future and you can see the full list of planned features on this Trello board: https://trello.com/b/Lbktl12Q/sprite-tools
I probably won't make a new post for each version, probably just for important updates.
message sellers and ask if the screen is TN or IPS, much cheaper than a lot of other places since they just gut old consoles most likely.
And if worst comes to worst TN screens arent that bad, the gamma levels on the 3ds are better suited for them.
Just FWIW, if you use this receiver ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016NO5KZ6/ ) you can place the coil off center to the left of the SD slot and right of the thumb stick and you don't have to dremel your case at all. It seems the price on amazon has gone up a bit though, these were $6 a few months ago when I did a Qi charger for both of my systems. You might try eBay for the same style to get a better deal.
Here's the Disqus comment thread from the page that no longer exists. (I was only able to find it because I had posted in it.) And this is where the announcement was.
The IP Address would be hidden, assuming the VPN didn't keep logs (remember no logs VPN PureVPN? https://torrentfreak.com/purevpn-logs-helped-fbi-net-alleged-cyberstalker-171009/) however a watermark would still be visible unless someone removed it which might take a lot of effort.
AliExpress has them but it's for the N3DS (non-XL) only. I learned this only after my order shipped. They don't quite fit well in the N3DSXL.
I don't own a 2DS though so I'm not sure if the buttons will fit that better (or at all). /u/sean_999, might be worth investigating.
Changelog:
> As for 64k clusters being no more supported - I know some of you may be unhappy about this choice. You can still use GodMode9 (need to compile from source now) to format your SD card with 64k cluster size, though.
For people who prefer the old font: I compiled it here.
Depending on the implementation of this landing page, you could set up your computer to spoof the MAC Address of your 3DS and log in from there. If this is being handled by whitelisting "approved" devices by their MAC Address that should then allow your 3DS to connect properly after that.
After you've authenticated on your computer you'll want to reset your MAC Address back to its default.
I highly recommend Teknik. Simple, fast, no bullshit, and they value privacy (everything is encrypted). It also functions as a general file host. I'm tired of Imgur's shit and I suggest everyone switch to a better image host.
Depends on how familiar you are with object oriented programming and classes, since C++ is literally 'C with classes' (and lots of other fancy features). Knowing C first is really helpful for being familiar with C++'s syntax and use of pointers, but if you already know object oriented concepts from a language inspired by C++ like Java / C# / Python it'll be relatively easier. Otherwise, you might have a tough time but nice books like C++ Primer will help you out a lot.
Unless you're direly concerned about menu/interface consistency, or some of the more specialised graphical options, mGBA has a perfectly good upstream 3DS port. Since it doesn't need to bother with RetroArch's abstraction layer, it actually has more features in some respects, most notably gyro/accelerometer support for WarioWare: Twisted!
Can I recommend you a program?
Everything lets you search your hard drive(s) based on keywords, file types, RegEx and so on
Unlike Windows' search, Everything is instant, so it's a really really useful tool for searching through your entire hard drive for that one little file
Try doing this:
Export your save. (This will be referred to as save A.)
Open the game and just hit Save without changing anything.
Export that save. (This will be referred to as save B.)
Open the game, and do something to change the amount of money you have, changing as little else as possible. (For example, buy an item and throw it away, if that's possible in that game.) Save once more.
Export that save. (This will be referred to as save C, obviously.)
Do a binary comparison of save A and B, and note any offsets with values that are different. (This is comparison A.)
Do a binary comparison of save C and either save A or B, and note any offsets with values that are different. (This is comparison B.)
Now look for offsets that are different in comparison B, but not in comparison A. Try putting different, random values in there to see what happens. Worst case scenario you'll break the save, but you have at least three backups, so that's no big deal.
If in either comparison you get tons of offsets with differences, this method won't work for determining the address, but it can't hurt to try.
You can do a binary comparison between two files with HxD (a hex editor), or from the Windows command line with fc /b file1.ext file2.ext > output_file.txt
.
If you want, you can just do steps 1-5 and post the save files, and I'll take a look at them myself.
The left stick has a Cyber Premium Slide Pad Cover on it. It's like $15 on Amazon. The right nub is a PSP-1000 analog stick.
And I patched all of the cias myself from .3ds files.
if you are building sunmoon then the simplest way is to download armips https://github.com/Kingcom/armips
then run in the sunmoon folder
armips patch.s
but if you are going to build other things you might as well install devkitpro (https://sourceforge.net/projects/devkitpro/files/Automated%20Installer/)
then put armips in \devkitPro\msys\bin then run
\devkitPro\msys\bin\msys.bat for salty SD you will also need python in the environment variables such as PATH so go get that (any version should do)
then go to the folder with smash and run
make
Is it possible to make a homebrew/CFW implementation of Flux? I'd like to be able to play my 3DS without the blue light exposure hurting my eyes at night, and just turning down the brightness doesn't help much.
You can always order a new motherboard and replace it. Granted this may mean a loss in data but it might be the next best thing to fix it if it becomes un-repairable.
There are plenty of choices on the site I just picked a random one.
Version 0.7.2 definitely worked without CFW, as per https://mgba.io/2019/05/25/mgba-0.7.2/ . It's not clear if changes since then have caused problems again.
If you really don't want to install b9s+Luma for some reason, you might want to consider trying Pichaxx or the latest Browserhax. Neither of these requires buying anything on the eShop.
I use mGBA which you can run as .3dsx from the hombrew menu or install as a cia. But since you have CFW you should consider using a Virtual Console Injector so you can install each game and run them from the home screen.
There are three issues with that:
But for you yourself, you could still manufacture a good JP Cubic Ninja for your console if the parts are still on the CDN.
Nintendo has pulled contents from the CDN in the past, though they were only system titles.
Resembles? That's not a good word to read on this situation.
Anyway, I usually refer to this page when dealing with fake SDs, maybe it could help you if you're willing to wait for it's long tests to run.
But, if you got 70GBs legit in it, it likely isn't a fake card, just a defective/dying one, which is still bad because SD cards can't be formatted to skip dead sectors and require replacement. :S
Tip for anyone who, like me, is struggling to find their 3DS IP: Wireless Network Watcher. My router is shite and wouldn't show me any details related to the devices unless they were named, so I had no way of knowing what was my phone, my laptop etc. It also showed me every device that's ever been on my network (either that or my best mate, and his phone, are hiding somewhere in the house), making trial and error a chore. Using that program I just had to spot the device made by Nintendo.
You should enable and force SSL for the subdomain. You can get free SSL certificates here.
Additionally, a cool feature would be to have an api key for accounts to allow uploading a save without logging in, for example from a 3ds application. I'd recommend something like UUID 4 for generating the key if you do implement this.
Overall, really cool project.
> (That said, storing your DB on Google Drive/Dropbox/etc is generally a good idea -- and since it's protected by a strong passphrase you still have a layer of protection if one of those services are compromised)
never hurts to have an extra layer, though; I'm using syncthing for mine, it works pretty well
This is awesome! I've been meaning to do this with my 2DS XL for like a year now but I've yet to do it. I have a few questions. I bought this USB-C breakout board and this wire from Amazon, and I have a cheap Ace Hardware soldering iron + some solder wick. Will all those materials be enough to do this mod? And will the mod be similar on the 2DS XL like how it was on your OG 3DS?
If you install Luma3DS, it will allow for out-of-region cartridges to play by simply inserting them.
EDIT: By the way, the Japanese version of the black n3DS (non-XL) is only $169 shipped via Amazon Japan.
You could make one with a 3D printer and some modelling software, or get one printed from a 3D printing service such as Shapeways.
EDIT: Additionally, there's this item on Amazon but it's really damn pricey.
Hey dude, I feel it. That said, $23.95 right now on Amazon, SanDisk 64GB UHS-1 Micro SD, it comes with a reader and for some reason is cheaper right now than without. I've used this very card in both old and new 3DSes, and it works well. You can probably also find it for around the same price at Walmart. 32GB is $10. Just make sure you go micro so it works with both (o3DS can use it with the SD adapter it should come with).
And ignore the neckbeards hating on you. I think appreciation is a nice part of the hacking culture, and it's certainly a great thing for keeping devs going. I know when everyone just shits on people, I don't feel like writing/updating a damned thing.
I meant the logo itself if it wasn't just a white version of the Nintendo one as I was confused as to what you were talking about. This is a by eye estimation, logo might be slightly too big/too small, but it's close.
If you want to get it dead on, it's literally a black background with the nintendo logo you can fill in white, so you can play around til it's perfect, you don't even need Photoshop.
Do you have the bootmanager? If so, select the homebrewlauncher at the start and you will be redirected to the sysnand HBL.
In there activate minipasta.3dsx which will restart your console; select the homebrewlauncher again and this time you are in HBL(sysnand) with signature check disabled.
Now start the FBI.3dsx and install all dsi-wares and gba vcs (non-ambassador ones) to the SD card.
Here, the files for the 3ds folder.
I ordered from here. Shipping took quite a while but I have a feeling it was my countries delivery system at fault.
The fit isn't the greatest, but hey, $2.
I had the same issue. Download and install this: http://download.cnet.com/Virtual-CloneDrive/3000-20432_4-173879.html Right click on the otherapp.bin and on the Properties tab, press change and select the program you downloaded. Send the file on a screenshot after you do this.
I bought a 64gb Sandisk for $15 at Wal-Mart. If you go in store and find this exact one you can price match. In store it said $30 and got it price matched to $15 like online. I used to have a 32gb, but lost my last 3DS. Better safe than sorry. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sandisk-Sdqui-Micro-Sd-64gb-Ultra-Plus/132157278
Also the write speed is pretty great.
does this work on 3ds? anyone have any experience what kind of cart it is?
U.S. here. Down for me too.

Edit: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/nds-card.com.html
Edit 2: Not even in Tor.
First, follow https://3ds.guide, then look into mGBA.
Alternatively, you could also use the Ultimate GBA VC Injector, but it's pretty outdated (the author is working on a new version, but it's taking a while)
Yep, we need to download this freeware RAMDisk —http://memory.dataram.com/products-and-services/software/ramdisk#freeware — and install it. It’ll provide the features that we use to make what we need for SNES or Genesis roms. The instruction I posted above will help you making an .img (your computer will mount it as a hard drive as soon as you save it on anywhere on your computer.
You can use something like TestDisk to try to recover the partition, it's free though the interface is a bit obtuse. You might be out of luck since it's fat32 though, the filenames are important and they may be lost; not sure though as I haven't had to do this in a while.
If your SD card currently works in your 3DS, then it is formatted to FAT32. most SD cards come with FAT32, but if you're not sure, follow this guide and start from method 2. If you have trouble with that or just despise wikihow, just google it.
I think one would not want to port inform7 (which is a compiler to inform6, which is then interpreted - I think), but an inform interpreter:
http://inform7.com/if/interpreters/
...where Frotz is one option of them.
Also, I have Gargoyle running on my Kindle ereader, which might hint at the code being portable ;-)
I'd think as a SysAdmin you would be the first to jump on the idea of any sort of file backup mechanism, :P.
I use py2exe for binary releases at my job and it's fantastic.
Create a setup py file, run it through python, include any external dll's you need alongside the exported executable, and wham! No need for python or any packages to be installed.
I figure I should make some kind of explanation about why D might be a more comfortable choice for programming than C or C++. D is like these languages, and normally has a garbage collector - however, we can disable it along with most of the built-in runtime to get something very close to a "Better C". Some perks:
static if
, mixins, template constraints)It's my favorite programming language - highly recommend checking it out.
Good, but you're missing the whole backend knowledge. This will indeed be great for you.
I'm a professional full-stack web dev (though I hate the front end, which is for now your forte) and I've looked at several frameworks.
The one I use and have been using for 2 and a half years is Django. It's a framework based on Python, which is a great language to learn at your stage. I recommend it and could even teach you the basics if we had the time.
The features you've listed could be completed in just a couple of days with it; it really is a good choice. Plus I think it's rising in popularity, though I'd have to double check that before officiating that claim.
This is really cool!
xs-
prefixed classes only. If you mix in some other classes in there, you can make things look nicer on mobile.Ninja Edit: Also, your favicon is FANTASTIC.
That's exactly what I did and I haven't had any issues so far. You can see the traces so as long as you don't break those everything should be fine. I had to sand a bit off the back too to fit it where I wanted it to live in my 3ds. So I sanded the other side up to just before the pins and it fit very very well after that.
From there I used 3m double sided foam to adhere it to the inside of the 3ds shell.
If your nervous about putting a new hole into your 3ds shell, you can purchase a new interior backplate for the new 3ds xl. This is the one I bought and used (though it's unavailable now), so I knew if I messed up putting the hole in the system I had a backup.
For the UK, you can get the powersaves on Amazon for cheaper.
EDIT: Just stalk eBay for Freakyforms. I just found a copy going for £30.
If it fails to power on with the adapter not inserted it's probably bricked. I got mine here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DTDM5MU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm taking a risk in the fact that it's probably not on 11.0. I only used Amazon so I could use my store card, but there's also a seller on eBay whose description explicitly states it's on 10.1 or something like that.
Here.
Follow these steps.
1- Make an Amazon account if you dont have one.
2- Add Pokemon Sun and/or Moon to your basket.
3- Add payment details at the checkout.
4- Wait for the game to be delivered.
> You need a $120+ soldering iron
That's not necessarily true. This Weller is normally over $120, but it can be found for cheaper (like on Amazon.)
EEVblog, the author of the video linked above, even recommends (on a budget) this Hakko ripoff that even takes Hakko tips. Super cheap and is temperature controlled. You can find it cheaper than its Amazon listing too.
Some data is compared against what is internal to the system. Juggling multiple cards is not recommended. Why not just get a bigger card and move the data to it? 64 GB cards on Amazon are under $20 last I checked.
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDXC-Standard-Packaging-SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA/dp/B010Q588D4
Just over $20 right now.
I have this case in black (got it from Amazon; it seems the one I have is the same one OP and you mention), and I've carried my 3DS with me every day for the last ~8 months or so - I work in a grocery store and I take public transport so my 3DS goes through a fair amount of trekking each day in my pocket or backpack.
It might be an issue with the colored variants - or maybe the quality from the ones sold by Aliexpress is worse - but with the black one I have at least I've had virtually zero problems with the case; it's only gotten a couple barely-noticeable scratches from when my 3DS slid off my lap onto the sidewalk once or twice.
As a little bit of advice to anyone planning to use nds_bootstrap:
Speed is always slow as butt. That likely won't change.
Anyway, thanks for the release. I do love the work and effort you guys put into nds_bootstrap :), since I can't buy a flashcard and do like to play my old DS library dumps (most of my cards didn't pass the years sadly).
Finally if someone could add ndslibris (EBOOK READER!) to the compatibility list as basically working (at a very good speed, only hangups are when loading an epub file. Couldn't test xhtml files sadly, but epub is better anyway) that would be very kind. To read books, just create a book folder at your sd root and add the books to it from there.

I think I have found the amazon review talking about it. https://www.amazon.ca/UGREEN-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Wireless-Nintendo/dp/B082H7NWNR
Question:The Switch has Bluetooth since update. Why would this be needed?
Answer:It isn't needed now. It's from before the 13.0 update that offered Bluetooth audio support.
It does fit in some other devices though. I use it now for my 3DS (though I still stand by my review of using APTX Low Latency with it...)

You can just look for PSP 1000 Thumbstick Cap
But I linked an example

Would these SD cards work with a 2DS? I know that they’re only 2 gb, I’m trying to hack my wii too and if I’m correct they only accept 2 gb cards. Here’s the link to the cards:
Hi there, looking into doing homebrewing and such for my original 2ds, and looking into aquiring a 128gb memory card for room. Specifically this one https://www.amazon.ca/Lexar-High-Performance-microSDXC-128GB-Adapter/dp/B012PLSIJ6
I'm confused, so are micro sdxc cards with the SD adapter ok to use, assuming we format to FAT32? I tried confirming in the FAQ but it doesn't explcitly say those are good (just that SDS above 32 need formatting). And to confirm, while above 128gb is not recommended, 128 gb itself is ok?
This confusion/concern is just compounded with Nintendo guidance stating microsdxc aren't usable at all...
this looks like the same grip for n2ds xl but haven’t tested it myself
i couldn’t find one for n3ds non xl
excellent product. highly recommend. may not be as great as the cyber gadget, but those are going for $200 now. i think this one is pretty amazing for the price, very sturdy and comes on and off easily yet doesn’t “fall off” on its own either
They seem to be hard to find now, but you used to be able to get these tiny micro-usb to 3DS charging dongles. I have one and have used it for years. These days I use it together with a usb-c female to micro male adapter, which works fine! If you can find one of these it’s a good option that doesn’t require any DIY soldering.
That said, nice work!
Someone said i could use the linked item below to stream my 3ds screen if it was modded but didnt say how. Is it truly possible? I cant afford an elgato card.
So I was at the step where you put create the boot9strap folder on the root of the SD card and copy the two files over but when I opened the boot9strap folder this file was already in it.
I'm using this sd reader. a friend of mine said this is what they used and some of the reviews said they used it to hack their 3ds. I've tried looking up the file name but I haven't been able to find anything about it so I haven't continued yet
I have problem to unscrew my 2ds XL. All four screws a tight and won't move. Any solution for that? I am using those screwdrivers for it. I want to replace the d pad since it malfunction
Hi guys, does this site seem legit to you? http://www.gearbest.com/game-accessories/pp_630469.html
And is this card compatible with that new exploit that released recently? Thanks!
EDIT: If this is all fake, does anyone know where I can get a flashcart for $11.50 or less? I've only got that much left in my bank account D:

Starting in 2008, Nintendo started lots of legal action against companies selling such devices, so finding a store inside the EU with them will be hard. China and Russia are among the few countries that haven't cracked down too hard.
The guide links to a store that ships globally with an excellent reputation.

You'll need one of these if the card doesn't come with one:
https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=%20card%20reader
edit: you have an o3ds, yes? you'll need an SD not microSD unless you use an adapater
Walmart has a 64GB SanDisc for about $20 right now, I'd recommend that. You'd need to format it to FAT32 with 32KB clusters, but I'll explain how to do that to you if you get that one. Alternatively, there's a 32GB that's slightly cheaper. The NAND is about 1.2GB and the CTR transfer is about 750MB, you'd need at least 2.2 GB free to do the hack. Links for the SD cards are below.
Pick free in store pick up to save $.
Max clock speed is locked when you start streaming video, because the 3DS needs to encode at the same time. Not sure about the improved framerates while playing but...
That is much clearer, thank you.
Perhaps when you made the .cia for the VC injection, you did not set the options correctly?
If you are determined to manually cut down the size of the file, then you can do that with any hex editor, such as XVI32.
your torrent client might be screwed up, or your sd card reader could be screwed up.
The best way to check both of those things is to verify the SHA file for the 2.1 file. It turns out that's a lot more inconvenient than I expected it to be but I figured out how to do that:
1: find the 2.1 .bin and .sha file that you downloaded
2: download Quick Hash from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/quickhash/
3: install and run quick hash, click on the "file" tab, select SHA256, and then press "SELECT FILE" and make it load and process the .BIN file on your SD card.
4: you'll see a giant, long-ass number in the grey box.
5: To verify the SHA, you need to download a hex editor, so get this freeware one called HXD Hex Editor: https://mh-nexus.de/en/downloads.php?product=HxD
6: Install the HXD program, then load the .SHA file
7: In black text you'll see pairs of numbers. Those numbers should match the numbers you see in the QuickHash page.
8: You might think "holy shit these numbers are long" but be happy because the way hashes work, if even one bit is wrong, the hash will change completely. So, if the first 4 or 6 pairs match, then you're good.
So, if the QuickHash number from the .BIN File on the SD Card and the numbers you see in the .SHA are the same, then you have some really, really weird problem.
If the numbers don't match, then you DO have corruption, which means either your bit torrent client is bad, your SD card is bad, or your SD card reader is bad (all three of which are 100% possible and common problems)
It may seem like a lot of steps but it'll only take like 5 minutes!
good luck
> "...cpu was designed from the ground up for the 3ds and any cpu not custom made for the 3ds will not work, unless you emulate a cpu, which is incredibly inefficient and will slow down the 3ds."
Except I said nothing about replacing the 3DS's CPU. (And yes, that would be a monumental task, almost impossible even).
I was saying that, since we can run our own code at boot, you could have it load custom code instead of key parts of the 3DS OS.
If you can reverse engineer 3DS system modules well enough to create a functioning replacement (which has already happened for a few system modules, most notably "loader") you can replace then software the 3DS runs with a fully custom OS.
This wouldn't touch the hardware at all. It would be like installing Linux on a Windows PC more than anything--changing the operating system, but being functionally the same.
Please research what you're talking about before saying something is "literally not possible."
EDIT: On that "custom upgraded console" you were talking about, there's at least one case of someone chip-swapping the console with another console, proving that the CPU the system has doesn't have to be the one that came with it. Completely different argument that bears no resemblance to my purely-software approach, but if you found a CPU that was a pin-for-pin match of the 3DS's CPU, and you wrote custom code for it, it would run just fine.
It just wouldn't be a 3DS any more.
Sure, this is the USB-C port I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08RN6LDVH/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_ECD81FDV6FN6WZ29JC4J?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I bet you could do it yourself, if you've ever used a soldering iron before. Give it a shot ;)

Low-quality post by virtue of being easily answerable by correlating the release date of 11.0 to the price of Cubic Ninja on the market.
(Also rule 4.4 too)
Do you want the update only if so: http://www.multiup.org/fr/download/3b39e680aef11ed1b592de52ac9a123b/0004000e00196d00_v2.2.0.cia
Apply that update by installing the cia on the japanese version, it's the only mirror I found so sorry press on telecharger to download it.
You need a BitTorrent client, because those are magnet links. (Don't worry, you're not breaking the law, torrenting itself isnt illegal, it's pirating thats illegal.) The recommended one by the community is http://deluge-torrent.org/
Don't tell people to use uTorrent. Firstly, that client is in close cooperation with the MPAA and is ad-supported. So, basically, you are telling the MPAA what you are downloading and paying them for that privilege. Why not use the client recommended by the guide, which would be the open-source, ad-free alternative and, in my opinion and a lot of others, the superior client, Deluge?
Hi thank for replying, I already did the method you've mention. the smallest change created a lot of offsets with differences in the comparison(is it because the save file is encrypted?).
here is the save files if you want to check it out:
Did you use h2testw on your card? Using that will erase your card, so back it up first.
Also, I forgot to check that your card is formatted as fat32 with 32 or 64k clusters.
It really is as simple as formatting fat32 with large cluster size and then copy-pasting all your data. There is no reason it shouldn't work. But I would analyze your card with h2testw to make sure it's good. If you still have issues after that, I'd check partition information in a software that is not the built-in disk management (I use MiniTool Partition Wizard) and just look for anything out of the ordinary (as compared to your 4GB card).
To change SD cards, you just gotta copy and paste everything. Sounds to me like you missed a folder or two. You should run h2testw before doing that, just to make sure it's a good card.
Soundhax, luma version is 8.1. Here's the problem i'm having. This happens for all apps. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipO_Vb5Rr7z_BndDe95y7IsvH8mbzCozSXssO18EHIJcHobcPH-aYvoVR34w6XeZoA?key=cFlXX19LY3ZDVDFiM2J1V2dVaGY0YkVZYzhKMlN3
Yeah. The original version is just source code, unrunnable on 3DS as it is.
You have to "build it" into runnable files.
If that helps, the source code of Pokemini 0.60 can be found here https://sourceforge.net/p/pokemini/code/ci/master/tree/ together with a DS version that could be used together with a flashcard.
Edit: Updated link to the official repo on sourceforge. They also offer a download link for the various compiled versions and platforms.
The latest version of the New Super Ultimate Injector is generally pretty good at detecting and selecting the proper settings for GBA games to save properly. I’ve also had fairly good luck with mGBA for anything that I don’t inject with the NSUI. The interface isn’t the cleanest, but it runs pretty well. It also has the added bonus of using special features from the 3DS such as the gyroscope (tilt controls for Warioware Twisted and Kirby Tilt n Tumble for Gameboy) and camera (for Gameboy Camera)
Yeah, you can grab the 3DS package from the mGBA downloads page. The .cia is in the .7z archive.
I actually don't do GBA injects on the 3DS, so I'm not a good resource for that. I'm a weenie and use an Everdrive GBA X5 flashcart on a backlight-modded AGB-001, since I prefer that form factor. Anyway, the software to use is Ultimate GBA VC Injector for 3DS, as far as I know. Someone more knowledgable in the software may be more helpful in this regard.
