If you’re interested in this topic, a local historian Shane Bernard wrote a book about this topic called “The Cajuns: Americanization of a People.” It goes into depth about the last 100 or so years of Cajun culture and how it has evolved. It is a really interesting read.

"Prove yourselves."
So are you saying they should Test Their Might?
Seriously though, let's let it ride and see what happens. I LEAVE IT IN YOUR HANDS FELLOW REDDITORS. DON'T MAKE ME A SAD PANDA!
I use ninite.com

Typically I'll install Chrome, Firefox, LibreOffice, Google Earth, iTunes, 7Zip, paint.net, VLC, and K-Lite Codecs.
Then I set LibreOffice to save in the Microsoft Office file formats by default, install uBlock Origin in Chrome and Firefox, and that's that.

> Just a website that can display basic info for my local business.
I recommend Wordpress if you want everything already done for you in the form of templates, or if you're feeling fiesty, Drupal.
Malls have been on the decline for over well over a decade. The only reason that is one is still open is because there are no comp's in the area on size and rent. If you have prime, this is worth a watch..
The location that I'm talking about isn't downtown. It's in a strip mall on Ambassador. It's the in the same lot as La Pizzeria.
According to my local sources, he's a prominent crooked politician and attorney, with delusional religious paranoia.

Whatever happened to separation of church and state?
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Swamp Shark, here's some Trailers
Yes, there is!!!!!

And you're right about it being early. I promised myself I wouldn't move from Windows 7 to Windows 10, that I'd bite the bullet and switch to Linux, but when push came to shove I sighed and upgraded my workstation to 10, tamed 10's more obnoxious features, and moved on.
You may also be right about Microsoft's caving for backward compatibility but maybe not. The security landscape is just so much more complicated now that they may choose to make a clean break with the past. Maybe not as drastic as Apple did with OS X, but drastic enough. We'll see.
For my part I'll offer anyone who gets a FTGH computer the option of Windows 10 or Linux, probably Elementary OS. I should probably also offer the Neverware/ChromeOS option as well, eh?

Basically the A+ bible right there. Mike Meyers cert books are pretty much the go to. For CCNA, they publish their own stuff.
While I want to build a cabinet, for now it is too much clutter, but I do have a retropie connected to my tv with a variety of game systems.
I am planning on building some table top or laptop arcade style joystick setups using a kit from amazon for the hardware and some amateur woodworking skills.
These are the batteries. Pretty pricey, but I use for my weed eater, circular saw, and other hefty power tools. DEWALT DCB206-2 20V MAX 6.0Ah... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H9BL9SE?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It also has a place to hard wire it when you can. Gonna drop a link for reference (DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Fan for Jobsite, 11-Inch, Tool Only (DCE511B) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075RFBTS3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_0URrFbSYYRK1E)
This is probably the closest thing , if no one pops up with actual 4x4.. 3 inches is a little thicker than you might think, though if you’re trying to go CHUNKY it just may not do.. happy hunting
Might be a repost since my comments might not be loading? Butttt

Have you tried using a digital antenna? That's what I use to catch the games on Fox. Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XQLW1H7/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Might be a repost since I seem to be having some issues butttt:

Have you looked into a digital antenna? That's what I use to catch the games on Fox and I haven't really had any issues with it. Will depend on where you're located I'm sure, but this is what I used: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XQLW1H7/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll take it, thank you!
Tsk, shame on those IT guys, DVI is still great and there are cheap adapters to keep those old monitors going. There's a DisplayPort one from Cabledeconn that's cheap and works great.

I had to use the clear lunch bags when I worked for Stuller. Hate them because they don't last long before the plastic starts to crack and they break. Look for any with the strap reinforced like this and it might last a bit longer.
Faster than a bike on sidewalks sounds messed up.
Bike lanes should be up to 25 MPH or so. Sidewalks should be up to 10 MPH or so.
Average walking speed is around 3 MPH, running 7 MPH, average biking speed is around 13 MPH, fit road cyclists closer to 25 MPH.
If you're going too fast for a path it will make it feel unsafe to the others who are going the expected speed.
The best reason to go faster is to use the roads. Going 30 MPH on a road with cars going 35 MPH feels a lot safer than going 15 MPH with the cars going 35 MPH.
But since you're 14 and staying off roads, I'd recommend something like this -- max speed 19 MPH: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CGRJBBP
Next step up I'd recommend something like Rad Power Bikes, you can get up to 25 MPH for around $1200.
Next up from that, I'd say wait until you're 16 and get a motorcycle license.
You would need a VHS and UHF antenna. I own this Winegard antenna and can catch all local stations.
I actually got curious how long ago and how much I paid so I took a look at my Amazon order history. I purchased the below in Sept 2013 for actually $50 but I had a gift card for some reason which is why I remembered paying around $35. As others have said, KLFY has issues with normal indoor antennas; I never have issues pulling it in with this one.
Us dog people have to stick together. Get your dog a dog chest harness. Could have gotten hit by a car.
I used a serrated box cutter to cut up boxes and then stick in my recycle can.
She was scared he might leave her for it try and marry it like one of the assholes that Lunsford encourages and teams up with.
Check out this group I co-run (with a guy in LC, actually):

It's a bunch of musicians from Louisiana, and there's a TON in Lake Charles. Go introduce yourself and ask in there. By the way, the Lake Charles crew are some of the coolest guys ever.
Um no, Gigabit means 1000 mbps. If you're only getting 300 mbps you have shit networking equipment, simple as that. So tell those people bitching about slow internet to get something better than a $20 wal-mart router.
Have you had an eviction notice yet? It takes a few weeks to legally evict someone.
Also if you have computer access you could do MTURKS.
https://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome
It's a crowd sourced data entry site. You do tasks like typing up scanned stuff or transcriptions etc. But it can take a day to get approved and I'm not sure what is involved in getting the income into a bank account as I just use it for Amazon fun money.
An interesting alternative for REALLY old hardware is to turn it into a faux Chromebook. Not every machine will work, but if it does, an LPSS student can make use of it.

There exists an excel spreadsheet for calculating jambalaya ingredient quantities and everything. I used it to cook a pot of jambalaya and received many compliments. I can't find the link to download it, and it looks like the creator made an app:
I have the excel file saved in my email. If you are interested, I could upload it to google sheets and share it publicly.
The other precautions are fine with me. If masks and negative tests are enforced, then yes, the vaccine does not HAVE to be a requirement. That's where the part about not smoking around others comes in. You don't have to quit, but you still can't be around others while you are a risk. Get tested, mask up, and be respectful and it won't be questioned. Those exceptions are already included in vaccine mandates.
As for shutting down, it wasn't effective because it wasn't enforced. Businees acting in good faith were hurt, while those ignoring it, and therefore extending it, stayed open. We can see that in countries where it was done correctly it saw success. No, it wasn't a miracle solution. But hindsight is 20/20. At the time, it was the correct, if difficult, decision. I will not fault effective, active measures taken with the best knowledge available at the time. I am only saddened that the community could not make it work, once again for inconvenience.
Also, for the sake of argument though I get your point, here is what I wear for hours a day Filter. This would completely prevent smoke inhalation in non-eating situations. It would just force the inconvenience on those being affected instead of the smoker. Kinda like forcing other precautions on people to let one or two unvaccinated people in the event.
If your budget really is $400, you could probably call an electrician. I cannot imagine it costing too much more than $400.
If your budget was $20, you could rig something together with this:

One very painless way to do this is the Amazon feature of having purchases delivered to a locker, specifically in Lafayette the one at Whole Foods. You place the order, DM me the unlock code, poof, you're done. I go pick it up, old computers get new life.
I've had very good success with these 128GB drives for $20. Though small in capacity these are more than enough to revitalize the machines.
Best burner by far. Much more efficient than jet burners. Quickest burner I've seen to bring 50+ qts of water to boil

Actually I just stumbled across this. In your instance mesh network is the way to go when you need to cover a large sq ft area without wired infrastructure to provide backhaul. I've converted several people over from airport extremes to these with great results.
I live near Comeaux High and have No problem with KLFY here.. I get channel 10-1 with 8 of 10 on the signal meter..
I use a Samsung dtb-h260f ATSC tuner

Costco and Sams both have it.

Gunslinger: The Remarkable, Improbable, Iconic Life of Brett Favre in ePub format because I'm sneaky like that.
By Schism Rent Asunder by David Webber. Book 2 of the Safehold series. This series has the political intrigue of ASOIAF with a futuristic past spin on it.
No, Xanth is a fantasy world, and the books are comedic, and filled with silly puns, but are good adventure, as well.
This is what you're thinking about: http://www.amazon.com/Necroscope-Brian-Lumley/dp/0765320185/ref=sr_1_3/185-4091114-3840636?ie=UTF8&qid=1432915677&sr=8-3&keywords=necroscope
Check out Latro in the Mist if you have a fantasy/mythology/ancient world interest. Gene Wolfe has been described as one of the best living authors in the world, and he really is amazing.
The book is cool; it's writing from the perspective of a Roman soldier, and is meant to serve as a tour of the ancient world through the eyes of the people who lived there. Very interesting and intriguing, but required a lot of concentration.
Wal-Mart on Ambassador has a copy on the front shelf with the MTG and other card games. The box looks to be in decent shape, but there's only the one.
Amazon Prime will get you a copy of Munchkin Pathfinder Deluxe here tomorrow for $27.22 (shipped 1-day shipping $22.23 + 4.99 S&H). It's the same board and accessories with different graphical themes and a different base game deck.
