They've already done pay to win microtransactions for a while (but it wasn't gambling based): https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/battlefield/battlefield-4/addon/battlefield-4-air-vehicle-shortcut-kit
From the website:
>The Reveal Trailer is a good example of this, as it depicts the frantic fights in Northern France in an unexpected time period, early in the war. You’ll experience iconic WW2 elements such as paratroopers dropping from the sky near a mission-critical bridge. However, this time it’s part of the German offensive on the British positions along the Escaut, which later would lead to the dramatic events of Dunkirk.
I'm fine with some flexibility in favor of gameplay, but having Tigers and V1's during the 1940 fall of France is a pretty bizarre choice. Almost none of the equipment or vehicles are correct for that period, why on earth would they pick it for their trailer?!
Reddit detective post incoming: On this page
The background image for the first image you see behind the BFV info is named "casablanca-blue-background.jpg". A quick Wikipedia reference shows that Casablanca was the location where Operation Torch in WWII happened. Just an observation!
Yeah tell me about it. I was so saddened it didn't come out on PC, that I went and recreated it myself in the BF2 engine on PC. You can actually grab it here. We had some limitations but eh, we did our best with what we had.
Also, after the failure that has been Battlefield V, you will also be happy to know I am working on remaking 1942 in HD as well in the BF2 engine trying to make the updated WW2 BF game we deserved. [It is called Battlefield 1944 and you can follow progress here]()https://www.moddb.com/mods/battlefield-1944.
I started working on it immediately after I released my 1943 mod before anybody even knew anything about Battlefield V by about 3 months before that reveal, but we have made great progress. We even have 2K resolution ground textures and are pushing the old BF2 engine pretty far. Some of our tanks have 60 THOUSAND polygons and 4k textures. So it is pretty awesome. We even plan on having naval combat! ;)
It states "....in a new setting" on the Ten Things To Know list.
Now if it this is the case... surely it can't be anything we've already had? What do we define as "new"?
The url for the link in the tweet says Battlefield 5
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/how-to-watch-stream-of-battlefield-5-live-reveal
This is an excellent illustrated book that highlights the vast variety of historically accurate uniforms and equipment used in World War 2.
The fact that the customization that DICE wants to show off largely ignores this, and inexplicably favors putting pilot's gear on infantrymen, is very odd to me.
Will probably contain these things https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-the-road-ahead
Some rumours even says that rent-a-server functionality will be included aswell, so custom servers will open up very shortly after patch release.
You are right, everyone here should read Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich https://www.amazon.com/Blitzed-Drugs-Third-Norman-Ohler/dp/1328663795
One of the grittiest Battlefields made was BC2 Vietnam, and it definitely had that vibe on it. Would like to see more of it, one of the most immersive games I ever played.
Hell even fucking Kotaku said the same thing.
https://kotaku.com/5641388/battlefield-bad-company-2-vietnam-yeah-i-was-in-the-sht
That's the kind of stuff I want to see in Battlefield.
And now look what Dice is trying to offer us... I hope they get their shit together but I'm not holding my breath.
You're being downvoted but this makes the most sense to me. What justification would there be for calling a ww2 battlefield game Battlefield V? I think they're going to make a modern game and release another ww2 game a year or so after the release of BF:V. I am almost certainly wrong but with all this talk of 'Battlefield never being the same' I can't imagine them going to ww2. What new things could you possibly do there with this game?
Although after reading this page, I am thinking it will be ww2 so they can continue their war stories.
>You can of course expect large-scale multiplayer in the next Battlefield – but Battlefield V takes it to the next level. Prepare for multiplayer that spans multiple maps and modes
I hope they have more than playlists up their sleeve.
I kinda get the futuristic vibe, from some choice of words here: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-5-live-reveal-ten-things-not-to-miss
Unexpected? Isn't WW2 expected. And even if the game is new, everyone kinda expects certain theatres of war to be in a WW2 game.
Also, no shit it happens on another frontline, everyone knows they won't make another WW1 game. But when mentioned that way, it sounds like it really happens on another frontline.... (Future)
Also the background color of the V images they've published looks very futuristic. Also, the White Horse image has a black stripe tearing over the horse. Maybe the meaning is in the black stripe, tearing through the image. Kinda like "no more horses".
Although I don't want futuristic, it seems most likely to me.
Can't speak for consoles, but the PC population is still plentiful. In the weekends you're looking at 5 - 8 servers at 32/32 easily. https://www.gametracker.com/search/bc2/?sort=3&order=DESC
Source. It's pretty heavily implied that these are regular soldiers with high-level cosmetics, not special characters.
>Weapon customisation is more focused.
>We definitely want to allow you to customise your weapons in Battlefield 1, but we also heard your feedback that we should try to find a way to do this without adding hundreds of additional attachments. That's why Battlefield 1 utilises pre-set Loadouts for each weapon - you're still able to customise your weapons to make sure they work with your playstyle, but in a more focused way.
>Each weapon has up to three Pre-Sets.
>Maybe you want a shotgun that packs a little more punch? Or maybe you'd rather one that trades stability for accuracy? The different weapon Pre-Sets should help you out. Some have up to three, giving you different ways to play with the same weapons. You're able to customise them as well, changing the zoom levels, reticles, and more.
Yup! I found it in my promotions folder on gmail. It was sent 14 hours ago. Here's a link to the changes
Edit: I just realised it's being released as a beta to a "small audience". I guess I got lucky so I'll keep people updated on it.
Battlefield 2 is still a pretty damn popular game.
https://www.gametracker.com/search/bf2/?sort=c_numplayers&order=DESC&searchipp=50#search
When I posted this comment, there were nearly 40 servers which had AT LEAST 16 players. Lots of players are playing this game weekly, if not daily.
If Project Reality (which has a couple hundred simultaneous players all the time) gets affected by this, I will rustle my jimmies, and so do will thousands of other players who plays that mod actively.
Not to mention vanilla BF2 which is MUCH more popular than tons of 2-3 years old AAA titles..
2142 or Vietnam might be dying titles, but BF2 still does have a healthy playerbase.
I also couldn't find anything on origin, searched a bit on google. Go the origin's website, log in and then click Try it first https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/battlefield/battlefield-v it will ask you to add Battlefiedl V Open Beta to your library and then to open origin on your pc. My download started righ after.
Here is dices notes on it https://www.battlefield.com/news/attrition-system-battlefield-5
Its basically the new system for getting ammunition and hitpoints. You spawn with less ammo and don't auto regen HP.
Total War: Three Kingdoms recently announced to do this very thing. They even aim to change some core game mechanics that would otherwise feel off for the authentic mode, so I see no reason why it shouldn't be at least plausible for BFV to add a "visual filter" to the game (Which was also present in BOIII, BF1 in case of emblems and Hardline as mentioned before in case of masks). https://www.totalwar.com/blog/total-war-three-kingdoms-six-things-youve-asked-about-classic-mode
From their website (Link):
> There are your Shotguns (great for blasting enemies from up close), SMGs (made for short range rapid-fire), LMGs (amazing at tearing things apart from medium range), Semi Autos (balanced and powerful), Sidearms (great in a pinch), and Sniper Rifles (which do exactly what you think).
In other words, the only bolt-actions are placed under the Sniper Rifles.
Some info I got from searching on google: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/battlefield-3/show_msgs.php?pid=960869&topic_id=m-1-60766264
Guess you have to try:
>1. In the program files/orgin games/Battlefield 3 folder, right click bfe.exe, select properties and then the compatibility tab. >Tick the first box and run the game with vista service pack 2. >Then tick the second box to run as administrator. >Click apply and ok. > >2. If you are using Ambx speakers, open the task manager, (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and end all processes related to Ambx.
Copying my other post from above, but here.

>Unless you're getting nitpicky like "there haven't been any maps set in German occupied Finland!"
You may say that in jest but they also used the phrase "unexpected theatres of war" before getting into the "new setting" part in this blog post, so I could actually see that being the case somewhat.
Of course, these are both pretty generalised and somewhat ambiguous terms, but I can see how people interpret it like this.
You can also change your loadout (incl. buying guns) in the companion app or on the web companion ( https://www.battlefield.com/companion/ ).
But I agree to you, this should also be available from the menu. (It shows at least what gun's you could buy and the price, but no button to buy it)
Equipping a bayonet increases your recoil and amount of time it takes to aim down sight (ADS) after sprinting.
<strong>Source</strong>: Equipping a bayonet to your primary weapon also negatively affects the recoil of your weapon, and how quickly you can raise your weapon to a fire-ready position after a sprint.
According to the gametracker.com page for BF:V, there are still some servers online.
Doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of people playing though.
I'd say install it, and if you don't find any games, uninstall.
well, what did you expect? EA had been making 100 million $ the simpsons tapped out so of course they were going to push for micro-transactions.
I loved this game so much, I recreated it on PC in Battlefield 2. You can download it here!
There were some obvious limitations, but we tried to work with what we had.
sorry are you trying to say it's one of their most successful launches because it has more players than games like Team Fortress 2? (that's literally what your article there says)
do you wanna know something funny? here's a screenshot of todays steam player stats - https://snipboard.io/EfFsQg.jpg
the game literally has less current players than Team Fortress 2, which was made 14 years ago and under half of the peak concurrent players of Apex, another EA title released years ago AND half of Halo Infinite!!
so the article is straight up wrong to begin with and the game has a peak concurrent usership of 100k with over 15k votes for scores... that is an insanely high number... but you know what? Halo Infinite has 28k votes, but as you've said, it's more likely people will go and review if they hate the game right? except Halo is currently at 73% and BF is at 22%
I am not the games biggest critic. I've even had some fun in bf2042. But you appear to be straight up delusional and I honestly don't get what you get from defending it this desperately
In this article we have two clear references to visual thematic immersion:
> 2 …in a New Setting
> Battlefield 1 gave players the definitive World War 1 experience that brought the dawn of all-out war to life. But the next Battlefield happens on another frontline. The live reveal will give players the first look at DICE’s immersive portrayal of the new setting.
--
> 5 Unmatched Sights and Sounds
> Battlefield has always been about high-fidelity immersion, and Battlefield V isn’t any different. Tune in, and you’ll be among the first to hear and see the stunning environments that you’ll soon be playing within.
In another article we again have two references to thematic immersion:
> With Battlefield™ V, we want to take you on a true journey through World War 2. But what do we mean by that? Instead of just showcasing new locations, we want to immerse you in this epic conflict and evolve the gameplay, just as tactics and weaponry evolved throughout the war.
--
> Tides of War will be an evolving journey featuring a new narrative every few months. Each chapter of Tides of War will focus on a particular aspect of the era, with unique gameplay experiences to drive players forward. We will use content, soldiers, visuals, and narrative to immerse our players deeper into the gameplay.
You're certainly correct in that the devs seem to be taking immersion as you're describing, but clearly the marketing department has other ideas on what the word means. Sadly that's what the majority of non die hard fans will hear about the game, and expect a thematic world.
From the patch notes of the October update, under „Maps and Modes“:
>* Fixed an issue with Mother Voice Over on Operations Globe screen.
I don't want to give you bad/uninteresting suggestions, because I've mainly read books about Auschwitz/Oświęcim and the holocaust, but maybe you could have a look at this one: https://www.amazon.com/Ordinary-Men-Reserve-Battalion-Solution/dp/0062303023/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1528908241&sr=1-4&keywords=Ordinary+Men
I think the description on amazon sums up perfectly what to expect before reading this book.
I guess DICE is wrong, too, and doesn't know shit about these games, either?
https://www.battlefield.com/news/battlefield-5-deep-dive-gameplay-changes-and-additions
> Gun Play and Removing Random Bullet Deviation
> Where you aim is where you’ll shoot. This will always be true in Battlefield V. Disregarding bullet drop over longer distances, the bullet will go where you have your sights. There will be no RBD (random bullet deviation).
How's the rebirth of Battlefield 1943 for a contingency plan?
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/consoles/xbox-one-x/battlefield-v-1tb-se
https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1943
My guess is that they're going to relaunch it with new game engine and MTX implementation. Probably even F2P or very low price (~10€). BR with wacky customizations could also work well with that.
Wrong. Since been updated.
"A previous version of this article stated that Battlefield V Grand Operations would be available shortly after launch, based on development plans as of June 9, the date the story published. The article has been updated to reflect that Grand Operations will be playable at launch and as part of Tides of War."
https://www.battlefield.com/news/battlefield-5-grand-operations-and-multiplayer-modes
Then why does the very first reveal article about the game literally refer to the setting as "immersive"?
https://www.battlefield.com/us-en/news/article/battlefield-5-live-reveal-ten-things-not-to-miss
Releasing in June, it will make Lupkow Pass, Zeebrugge, and River Somme available for free under this game mode: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/road-ahead-for-battlefield-1-quick-ops-map-giveaways
EA said something here about "investigating community supported options":
http://www.ea.com/news/update-on-ea-titles-hosted-on-gamespy
This would apply to all gamespy affected games... and although they've never actually officially endorsed anyone, they've never come after anyone either. I'd say this implies they just simply don't care, don't have the time, and know they can't make the money they can on newer games so whatever....
There is also this page where they claimed 2142 still has a hardcore following, which was updated after the game shut down:
https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-2142
This really just sounds like reddit moderators needing to justify their existence. Believe it or not, a friend and I also got a warning for posting this here on /r/battlefield, but I guess the moderator at the time is either no longer around or someone above him said deal with it and let it stay.
Clearly these mods over at the other subreddit are uninformed and just need to feel like they did something "for the community". Really sad that you got completely perma-banned over this...
In conquest and gamemodes alike you won't be doing this, creating trenches is meant for the Operations gamemode
Here is the source: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-operations-mode
Here is the quote: > '' As an attacker you’ll hear the commanding officer’s whistle as the order to charge the enemy trench is given. You’ll run side-by-side with your teammates as you storm towards the enemy defensive positions on foot, in tanks, airplanes, boats, and on horseback. As a defender, you’ll dig down as you hear the alarm go off signaling an incoming attack. You’ll man the stationary machine-guns and cannons to aid you as you rain hell on the advancing enemy attackers.''
PS Sorry for the reposts, i just want to make things clear and make people aware that the shovel will actually be used.
This kind of makes sense from a production perspective, after reading about the Operations game mode. My guess is the DLC's are going to be several maps that work together for Operations, with the same factions on each. They seem to be pushing this mode hard as something that fits the WW1 theme, possibly better than Conquest.
It works with what we know about current maps, with multiple maps for British/German and Austria-H/Italy. Probably launching with 2-3 multiplayer "Operations" sets, and the French one will launch as its own, maybe too big for them to include in the base game and meet the release date (or at least that's the convenient excuse).
It's the cover art of the standard edition of Battlefield 5 on Amazon
AMD FX-8350 as minimum spec CPU.
Damn, guess I won't be able to play on my toaster that's still using a FX-6300 :/
Edit: The specs are almost exactly the same as BF1's OBT which I could run fine. The only change they made is that the minimum CPU req for AMD has cranked up from FX-6300 (BF1 OBT) to FX-8350. GG EA, G fucking G.
Edit 2: Specs listed on the Official BFV site says FX-6300 is the minimum required AMD CPU. So I guess the article OP posted is wrong, and my toaster should be able to run it. Yay.
Is there an actual source where they said its historically accurate? I haven't come across anything like that but if you have a link I'd like to see it. However, in more than one place on the official site, it implies that its not a normal WW2 game. See below:
"Enter mankind’s greatest conflict with Battlefield™ V as the series goes back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War 2."
"With Battlefield V, DICE returns to the era that started it all: World War 2. But it's a WW2 experience unlike any other."
"This is not the World War 2 you've come to expect. This is Battlefield V."
All taken from https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-5/about.
I just don't see this is the same perspective. You're talking like they made a war story and had it be based around this women. It's just another gender added for their new company system to relay more options.
I dont remember DICE ever claiming that the multiplayer will be an historical accuracy focus but the mere opposite.
"WW2 like you've never seen before"
"I cannot wait to hear whether we can make the players out there as excited about the new perspective on World War 2 as we are."
" We still have a locker full of reference material and old design documents from Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 1943 – but we deliberately stayed away from those. We wanted to find new ways forward."
https://www.battlefield.com/en-au/news/article/ww2-as-you-have-never-seen-it-before-battlefield-5-au
>Planning the next Battlefield again opened the door for a return to WW2. For a period, there was a fatigue for this setting’s representation in games, and we didn’t want to recycle the same journeys, such as beach landings, and familiar battles. Relying on the Battlefield 1 mantra – “untold, unplayed, unseen” – liberated us from expectations and allowed us to focus on what excited us.
There is no "assault class" in incursions. All the classes are different from all those in the normal game (each having different abilities, gadgets and weapons taken from all 4 base game classes). They do however use character models from the normal game, however I do recall a developer stating that they will design specific character models for each class.
https://www.battlefield.com/en-au/games/battlefield-1/modes/incursions (scroll down to he Q/A section of the article)
I'd just like to point out that BF Companion isn't just a mobile app. There's a web version, for when you'd rather use your computer: https://www.battlefield.com/companion
And you can share your emblems: https://emblem.battlefield.com/KHpK76qdWF
I swear to god there is a dinosaur roar outside the maps in Singapore. I'm going to go record it on War Tapes so you can hear it better and update it.
Edit: Re-encoding it.
Edit: Here. At some points you can hear it faintly, but it got oddly creepy.
You can get the mod on moddb
As for BF2, I lost my old physical disks so I repurchased it on steam years ago, I dont know where you can get it anymore. It seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
You want BF4 Premium. That's the base game with all the maps included (aka DLC).
It'll go on sale occasionally for anywhere from $30 to $40. It's still a good buy at $50 though. $50/500 hours = ten cents per hour. More or less depending on how much you play but 500 hours is reasonable imo.
Why they have done the research when its FICTIONAL GAME , JUST A GAME. And nobofy has ever said BF needs to be milsim. People are asking for thematic authentism. Which they expected as game set in historical event. That doesnt mean gameplay realism
And ether you are really bad in googling or something but here
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/ww2-as-you-have-never-seen-it-before-battlefield-5
some quotes "The Reveal Trailer is a good example of this, as it depicts the frantic fights in Northern France in an unexpected time period, early in the war. "We want Battlefield V to provide both a true and an unexpected WW2 experience."
Does this sound like alternative history for you?
Why not use Game Time and find out for yourself? They give you a full week to try it out. If you enjoy it, then purchase it when it goes on sale sometime this month.
I haven't come across anything like that but if you have a link I'd like to see it. However, in more than one place on the official site, it implies that its not a normal WW2 game. See below:

All taken from https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-5/about.
It does not specify "win at least one" it also does not say "win one a day" please refrain from assuming people are wrong based off how they read general information. I will retract my post if you can come up where dice has said its "win 1 a day for 3 seperate days"
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/celebrate-battlefield-in-a-new-battlefest
Not a perfect workaround, but you can customize your loadout in the companion app. Both the phone/tablet apps and the website app: https://www.battlefield.com/companion
I used this to fiddle with my loadouts and unlock a few weapons while waiting for calls at work. :)
https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-play-first-trial-details
>Five maps and four modes will be available, including St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Sinai Desert, Fao Fortress and Suez in the Conquest, Rush, Operations, and Domination modes. There’s also a taste of the singleplayer campaign, with the missions Storm of Steel and Through Mud and Blood. Your progress carries over, too, if you decide to buy the full game after your Play First Trial ends.
edit: and I was wrong about the full release, since it's "only" 4 game modes and a few singleplayer missions.
>If Dice nerfs these tanks because of all these NOOBS ill be pissed.
https://www.battlefield.com/career/190521704/bf1
Guess I am just a noob then.
>light tanks are easy as fuck to take out, even alone.
I would legit want to see you try it against anyone semi-decent and watch you get cannister shelled the moment you would peak for your 2nd shot. :^ )
More details here, looks like rush with a twist (instead of blowing up an objective, you have to take it. This gives defenders a chance of taking it back:
> As an attacker you’ll hear the commanding officer’s whistle as the order to charge the enemy trench is given. You’ll run side-by-side with your teammates as you storm towards the enemy defensive positions on foot, in tanks, airplanes, boats, and on horseback. As a defender, you’ll dig down as you hear the alarm go off signaling an incoming attack. You’ll man the stationary machine-guns and cannons to aid you as you rain hell on the advancing enemy attackers.
and
> The attackers must take territory and push the frontline forward, while the defenders are trying to hold the line. Should the defenders fail to hold their ground on a map, the Operation doesn’t stop here: they will fall back and regroup on a different map, while the attackers will continue to push.
I guess we'll have to wait for more details to be sure. But many points could be similar to the different MCOM's, where you have to capture one point before you can capture the one deeper in enemy lines
here. I didn't upload it to youtube because what's the point when i get just send you a link to OneDrive?
But here you go my man, this is a compilation of some of my RPGs and i also added in a couple TOW missiles as well
EDIT: My gamertag use to be bloodshed714, so that's why a couple of the clips have that name
Was 33% for non origin access subscribers and 40% for subscribers.

They have atm a 30% discount fyi: https://www.origin.com/fra/en-us/store/browse
You have no problem with PS+ though.. right?
Also, you get a ton of games that arent sports games from origin access (and a few more from premier).
Also, the argument against sports games padding their subscription is just trying to make them look bad. EA includes all of their games in their subscription. EA makes sports games. Therefore sports games are included. Before people complained about spending 60$ a year on roster updates, but apparently getting a ton of stuff for 1 subscription thats slightly more than a new game is bad.

They also publish a ton of other games, and include them in the subscription as well.
https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/origin-access#store-page-section-includedinpremier

So yea, its blind hate. You see the name EA and think they must be doing something bad when really its one of the more consumer friendly actions a major publisher has taken recently. They arent forcing anyone to get the subscription just to play their games, or even to play on their servers (cough xbox live/ps plus).
https://www.origin.com/deu/de-de/store/battlefield/battlefield-1/addon/battlefield-1-premium-pass
Its 12,50 on the official store rn. You get a shitload of content (even if the Tsar DLC is free by now) and its still around 4 months till BFV gets released. Id say why not. I bought the pass only to be able to see all the operations, as i think nearly all maps in BF1 have at least an amazing feeling to them, even if the design of some of the maps is not that good.
No, I'm just taking it at face value because I have absolutely no faith in any studio owned by EA to deliver a good product anymore.
Mass Effect Andromeda?
Battlefront 1 or 2?
BF1?
The yearly sports games that never change?
BF Hardline?
Everything they touch gets milked dry and eventually shut down.
Sadly I think DICE & BioWare are eventually just going to be the next two on this list: https://kotaku.com/an-updated-list-of-studios-ea-has-bought-and-then-shut-1689498614
>Does the quality of PC gamers actual hardware effect the skill level?
As long as you're not using a toaster PC and a dollar store mouse you'll be fine. Decent graphics, a stable over 30FPS, and a resolution of 1080p and you're on pretty even terms with everyone. Sure it helps to have hardware that can run the game at 1440p 120FPS with a really quality KB+M, but it's not a huge factor in skill. They'll be able to see a bit more clearly, have smoother aim, and react a bit faster.
>If I did switch should I use m/kb and just be a noob until I get used to it, or be decent with console controller?
Definitely take the time out to learn KB+M. It'll take you a month or so to get used to but your aim will drastically improve once you do. I also find it easier to keep tabs on my surrounding with the faster and smoother rotation speed. I feel blind whenever I play with a controller, but I'm awful with them so take that how you will.
>Are the battlefield recommend specs for PC good enough or would you personally get hardware that is better?
Never trust the recommended specs, those things are a total crapshoot in general. There's websites like http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ are a better indication. Go by their recommended settings. For example, they say BF4 needs a Intel Quad Core or AMD six core processor, 8GB of RAM, and a AMD Radeon 7870 or Nvidia GTX 660, and 30GB of storage. Those are realistic to play the game comfortably with. A build that can do that (with plenty of room to spare) will probably set you back $500 USD, but I'm just spitballing here. If you want some people to help you out, maybe price out a build for you head over to /r/buildapc
AFAIK its free on PC and Xbox One but not on 360 and PS3, on PS4 it depends on the region apparently, for some its free and others just really really cheap, like 10 cents. Link to the expansion on Origin.
This follows the Final Stand free time that just ended, its very likely that the next dlc (in reverse chronological order), Naval Stike, will follow once this deal ends.
From this post on /r/battlefield_4.
Actually, I think battlepacks will include more than enhancements. When you click on "5x Battlepacks" on the store page under the comparison between the standard/deluxe edition, it says, "Prepare for battle with five additional battlepacks, stuffed full of all the weapons, vehicles, and other gear you need to hold your ground in an all-out war." Maybe this only applies to the preorder packs.
Yeah it should. However you should just get Premium alone; the Premium Edition comes with BF4. You already have the game so it would be a waste of money. Premium Membership link (US)
On another note, if you can wait, prices do get cheaper than this.
https://www.battlefield.com/news/addressing-netcode-in-battlefield-4
Been an issue since BF4 still a problem.
You add bloom to the equation its even worse.
I rarely have issues with hit reg in cod.
The map scale is awful gun play rarely matters because you turn a corner and get blown up by a vehicle. Anti vehicle weapons are also a joke.
They have already addressed a lot of these problems on twitter and Reddit mostly.
Whats going to changing: 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, and 11
Heres the source from Lead Engagement Designer talking mostly about Ui changes. https://twitter.com/freeortman/status/1061534629705015296
Heres the content road map that says "Return of Rush" in between January - March. https://www.battlefield.com/news/launch-of-battlefield-5-is-just-the-beginning
And the Reddit AMA with some Dice Dev is somewhere on this sub or /r/BattlefieldV's sub not sure I think theres 2 seperate AMAs.
4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 I don't think have been addressed by Dice yet but if you can prove me wrong I'll update this.
To be honest I'm impressed with how open they are about upcoming changes. Hopefully they get here quickly especially the one improving the multiplayer leveling system.

There ya go... From the developers... Scroll down to midway, there is an image of an excel spreadsheet.
Also, you are doing yourself a disservice by not playing Titanfall.
But yes, part of the immersion will be the animations, but if the character models and outfits aren't right for the time, those won't be immersive either.
>Your version of immersion is different than everyone else's.
Good thing we don't have to wonder about what his version of immersion means or what your version of immersion means. Because DICE themselves defined what their version of immersion means:
>Now, immersion can mean many things. For Battlefield V, it spans visuals and sounds, your soldier’s movement, combat situations, how you will shape the environment and vice versa, and how players will act and react more naturally than before.
Number 9 in the list. Also this link will take you to the post made on Google plus before the trailer reveal. Note the second comment with the caption which was posted on the official Battlefield Google Plus page "Learn how battlefield v revisited WW2 with a twist"
Also it's worth it to look at the reveal trailer and multiplayer reveal, you can hear the dice team say "our take" before each one.
>What, grand operations is post release as well?!?
Yep.
dude, explain the brittish soldiers, brittish tanks and german paratroopers. this is not norway, and they never said its norway. in fact its northen france : ''The Reveal Trailer is a good example of this, as it depicts the frantic fights in Northern France in an unexpected time period, early in the war. '' https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/ww2-as-you-have-never-seen-it-before-battlefield-5
Actually the scenery is showing france countryside during the 1940 german's offensive: "The surroundings seen are based on events leading up to the evacuation of Dunkirk, in an era where German tank warfare reached its peak" https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/the-10-most-exciting-moments-in-the-battlefield-5-reveal-trailer
You seem really hung up on this imaginary promise of authenticity. From this article:
>I cannot wait to hear whether we can make the players out there as excited about the new perspective on World War 2 as we are.
I guess all they're hearing is, "NOT HISTORICALLY ACCURATE REEEEE!"
I don't play it enough to know, if you are really interested you could look at the update notes https://www.battlefield.com/news/update-notes/in-the-name-of-the-tsar-update like I said I doubt they made too drastic of changes.
Can confirm that it does have Premium Pass which includes all DLC. Premium advantages seem to be special dog tags, 14 battlepacks, Double XP events, I think emblems also.
More info here: https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1/premium
I've seen a few comments/posts popping up around the subreddit about the next Battlefield game and what it might be. WW2 would be the next logical step and a few months ago I started putting together a conceptual landing page for it.
The main goal was to make their landing pages a bit more interesting than the one they used for BF1.
I have credited all the artists that I used works from in the footer as well. Be sure to check out their pages! They all have some seriously awesome work.
I must also note that I tried to make it fully responsive but certain things I just haven't dedicated enough time to yet in order to fix like the class modals.
They didn't link the patch notes/ blog that DICE posted saying the same thing.... but the first reputable source I could find with Google (Incidentally I first found my own posts in battlefield forums saying the exact same thing after launch... I hadn't included a source then either though lol)
EDIT: COrrection, here's their beta roundup where they stated it: https://www.battlefield.com/news/article/battlefield-1-beta-learned
>However, it’s equally as important that we take the feedback that you, the community, are giving us. That is why we're going to be making changes to the Conquest game mode ticket system for launch. The next time you play the game, capturing the objectives AND getting kills will both contribute towards the final score of a Conquest match. You have spoken, we have listened!
Personally I think it's absolutely hilarious people still don't understand the rules this long after release
16GB RAM is the recommended requirement for BF1. 8GB is minimum, so that might just be your problem.
Please post the rest of your specs, we need more to go on :)
They've changed the netcode and I can definitely see some shots not landing when they should (at least on my end that's how it seems). Check out the netcode section of the official patch notes here: https://www.battlefield.com/news/update-notes/spring-update
Of course they'll be more than two. You obviously haven't looked very far because there's a webpage detailing 4 confirmed modes on the BF website. I imagine there'll be 2 or 3 more but they likely wont be as popular.
If you already signed up for the BETA then click on this link https://www.battlefield.com/beta , and a message will show up saying :
http://m.imgur.com/v7377vy "You have successfully signed up for the Battlefield Insider program, giving you early access to the Battlefield™ 1 public beta."
I think that is how you know you successfully signed up for the BETA. But it also says "You will be sent rewards for PS4/X1/PC at " so IDK what that means... Maybe the reward is the d-load code for BETA?
I believe the day before or the day the BETA is released is when we get our codes for the BETA... but that's just my guess.
And no I did not receive any email.
There was a leak with some map names that could be in the final game. It suggested that there would be ten maps shown below:
However on Battlefield's news page they have at this point released four map names:
https://www.battlefield.com/games/battlefield-1/maps
As we can see the leak was incorrect with two maps so far
Keep your eye out for this page to be updated in the future, it is very likely that we are going to have around about ten maps or so.
But many points could be similar to the different MCOM's, where you have to capture one point before you can capture the one deeper in enemy lines. Could be like turning point but I do hope its not
>The different weapon Pre-Sets should help you out. Some have up to three, giving you different ways to play with the same weapons. You're able to customize them as well, changing the zoom levels, reticles, and more.
We need more information from you.. provide as much as possible
What GPU is being used, is it overclocked? Ambiental temperature? what version of drivers, what OS, What executable (x64, x32)
Is this glitch also in other games? If you didnt try any other games, please do and let us know if it is the same (download mass effect 3 demo, or grid 2 demo etc and see if it does the same glitching)
Try doing the furmark test
http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/
as said, provide more info
I'd actually recommend novgames before this fix. Playerwise there are plenty more players there than on this fix + they have every system finished already so.
It's in russian but just use the google translate directly on the site and you will be fine.
http://www.novgames.ru/ https://www.gametracker.com/search/bf2/?sort=3&order=DESC
Playerwise its more or less the double if not triple.
You can order both from Amazon, though I'm not sure if they're on Origin.
https://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-1942-World-War-II-Anthology/dp/B00022Q0RI
Vietnam is way more expensive.
For 1942, you will need to download multiple patches (which adds a few maps/weapons). The final version is 1.61. There is also a patch that adds (online) multiplayer compatibility (due to GameSpy shutdown).
http://www.fileplanet.com/90962/0/section/Patches/
Gonna have to dig around a bit.
VyprVPN allows you to try it for free for 3 days (you have to enter paypal or CC info, but if you cancel before the 3 days run out, you won't be charged).
Just launch the VPN and connect it to Australia or New Zealand before launching Origin. You then launch BF1 and disconnect from the VPN right after, so you'll play from your normal connection.
Many consider the single player war stories to be bad & short. So take that as you will, this game has a heavy focus on the multiplayer which is the reason I bought it.
At the moment there are no bots that you can play against, something may be introduced with the practicing range but I haven't kept up with that. This releases december 4th and there should be more information coming out from now to monday when they intend to publish "Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture Page"
If you only intend to play single player and you're not sure about the multiplayer I'd suggest you to look into Origin subscriptions, they will give you full access or 10-hour trial depending on what subscription you choose. You can subscribe for one month and then cancel if you wish. Here's a link.
https://www.origin.com/mex/en-us/store/battlefield/battlefield-1/interstitial
At least i see it like this, and bought it for that price haha
Played some time yesterday
