> We don't know what FO76 is actually about.
Eh, the trailer gave us at least some idea: right now it looks like it's about rebuilding the wasteland 20-25 years after the war. You probably start in vault 76.
Definitely lacking a lot of detail at present though.
> We don't know if it includes multiplayer elements.
Jason Schreier has reported that in includes some sort of multiplayer elements. 99.9% of people reporting on games are rubbish at their jobs. Jason is in the 0.1% that actually deserve the title "journalist". He has a history of this sort of reporting: developing reliable sources at companies and reporting correct information before anyone else does, or before it is announced publicly. For instance, he reported that Mass Effect Andromeda would not get DLC or sequels and the Bioware Montreal was being shut down. Naturally people over at r/masseffect screamed "it's just a rumor!" and "who are your sources?!" - but sure enough, a couple of months later it was confirmed there would not be DLC and that Bioware Montreal was being shut down.
So good reporting is not a rumor: it's good reporting.
> We don't know how those rumoured mp elements might be implemented.
True
> We don't know that we won't be able to enjoy this as a normal, single player RPG experience.
True
> Let's wait for the press conference before losing our collective shit. :)
Damn good advice.
Really, it only seems fake?
That's as blatant piece of nonsense as there is.
Go to credits, take any dev name and put it in linkedin. These people absolutely do know what they're doing. As unfortunate as it is, it's just most cost effective to keep things as they are as long as they sell well enough. And they do, so we won't see a proper new engine for a while.
EDIT.
What I did find after doing just that is I can see that some of their programmers have been around since Morrowind.
https://www.igdb.com/games/fallout-4/credits
E.g. Steve Meister.
EDIT2:
Also found another comment by MrBorderdown:

(this website just takes YT's videos and puts them with comments on their own page)
He basically asked for explanation of UE4's features. Any dev would know how to do it just from reading the documentation.
Hello starfield leaker, you aren't fooling anyone. Stop pretending to be a leaker. You've obviously robbed this from somewhere.
Edit:
Amazon sells a green version of that board. https://www.amazon.com/Hobby-Craft-Double-Healing-Cutting/dp/B00GEKIM8W
What else is green? Plants. What are plants on? Planets.
The next BGS game will have a planet in it!
Edit: Holy Todd! I found more of them. https://www.amazon.com/Healing-Cutting-Scrapbooking-Quilting-Crafts/dp/B01N7NTH88 Do you see what it says in the picture? Paragon! BGS is teaming up with Epic to re-release Paragon.
The latest Inside the Vault article confirms that upcoming Fallout 76 content will be discussed at E3.
https://kotaku.com/leaked-documents-reveal-that-fallout-4-is-real-set-in-1481322956 - there's the infamous FO4 leak. He obtained a script from someone who auditioned as a VA.
Kotaku was blacklisted not long after all this.
I've found that if you right click and inspect the fallout.com page there are some fallout 3 references but there is no way of knowing whether it is relevant or not.
Here is the specific file: https://fallout.bethesda.net/styles/c389ad24.main.css
If you ctrl+f and type fallout you will see several listings of "fallout-3-special-module". There is even a new vegas mention.
I'll try to find a source but apparently they are going to continue releasing free updates. They aren't done and there's quite a bit they'd like to add
Edit: From their site. The 6th and 2nd-to-last paragraphs are the ones I was referring to
Hey love it. Those asking about it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=minar.wmwatch.pipboy&hl=en&gl=US this is one app. some times the apps leave google store but are still on github or downloadable from other places online
As others have noted, wrong sub.
To answer your question, Bioware are pretty much exclusively focused on Anthem at present, so I don't think we'll hear about a new Dragon Age game for at least two years.
I suggest reading this article by Jason Schreier (one of the few video game journalists that actually deserves the title, and who did outstanding reporting on Mass Effect Andromeda, including reporting that no DLC would be made months before it was publicly announced): https://kotaku.com/bioware-doubles-down-on-anthem-as-pressure-mounts-1822380989
Yeah. That hoax from theSurvivor2299 mentioned Boston being the setting. Plus there was a published casting call script from Kotaku with shitloads of legit info WAY ahead of the release date. That was an article published in dec of 2013:
https://kotaku.com/leaked-documents-reveal-that-fallout-4-is-real-set-in-1481322956/amp
There's a codepen made by someone called "Paul Kane" that uses the images you mentioned to try and show a video, there's a thumbnail it tries to show too but the URL for it doesn't work anymore, seems Bethesda might have taken it down recently: https://codepen.io/pkane/pen/qdQjgN
Edit: also, that codepen has a description: >Originally intended to load in 4:3 videos (which would be formatted to 4:3 during production and then hosted remotely), this scaleable video player was instead leveraged to show dynamic static assets based on user input. The SPECIAL module launched a modal instead.
~~Sounds kinda like this might be an older thing, not sure though.~~ The date on that codepen is Jul 29, 2015, guess this is just a leftover from something.
First time posting a link on here, hope it works! The only downside is, like Ebay, the prices of a “new” version are ridiculous. I buy used games off Amazon fairly often and haven’t had a single bad purchase yet, but I always aim for the condition to at least be good or better.
Good luck!
Couldn't find it on Android or Samsung app site, so I found a third part site. The faces are all free unless you want the fancy foo foo watch faces. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jeremysteckling.facerrel
That's a fair observation. My take is that often he doesn't have all the information, or might think that some of the specifics he has been told are misleading, so he errs on the side of being cautious and only reporting things he is 99.9% sure on - and since it's very hard to be 99.9% sure about anything, some of his reports can have a feel of ambiguity to them.
But I have seen him get into specifics some times. For instance, among his extensive reporting on Mass Effect Andromeda he correctly reported there would be no single player DLC - which is a very specific claim - a couple of months before it was officially announced.
I do agree his reporting can sometimes lack specificity, and on this Fallout 76 stuff he hasn't really told us much more than to be wary it might not be what we would usually expect from a new Fallout game. But he was very precise in that podcast when talking about Bethesda Maryland having "all hands on deck" on this project, so I tend to believe him on that aspect.
Of course, at the end of the day it's all quite moot - we'll know a lot more on June 10!
A little, yeah, and it's apparently what prompted Jason Shreier to write his more detailed article about the game. They also started pre-orders of Rage 2, although only on Amazon.
I certainly don't think any consumer should be preordering a game at this stage. I suspect Amazon might be strong-arming Bethesda a bit here, as that seems to be the only site offering the game right now (except for Bethesda themselves).
Maybe try the APK?
> Q: IF I PARTICIPATE IN THE B.E.T.A., DO I NEED TO RE-DOWNLOAD FALLOUT 76 AT LAUNCH? > > Console players will have to download the official launch version of Fallout 76 on November 14, even if you downloaded and played the B.E.T.A. version. > > PC players will not have to download a separate version of the game.
Now I am not 100% on this because im still trying it out. But I am pretty sure you are going to get a redemption code in the confirmation email from amazon. (it takes a hot second to process the order so be patient) and then once you have that you go here. and enter in the code and then you are entered into the beta when it drops. But there is really no hurry as the beta doesn't have a release date yet.
According to this other blog post, the Switch version is coming in "Spring 2020": https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/article/659YQpqfEiCFpQZEgcNB6O/the-elder-scrolls-blades-nintendo-switch-spring-2020
It would not surprise me if the 1.7 release is followed by at least an announcement of the official Switch port's release date.
It's a cool idea. If you're going to use pen and paper, check the LootCrate vault... they had something in one of the past Fallout crates, it was seven notebooks, one for each SPECIAL stat. Some were lined for text, some were graph paper, and some were dots... like graph paper but only dots where the lines would meet, whatever that's called. But you could write in those, if you could find them for sale. LootCrate's site has a vault for buying things from their crates, but I don't know how long it takes since everything in the crates is "exclusive" (i.e. I don't know for how long). Or maybe someone who got it would be willing to sell it (not me, sorry).
That said, you could probably find a Vault-Tec themed composition book. Those hardy notebooks in school, they're actually really good, and fairly inexpensive. Or just make one yourself. Make a stencil with card stock and spray paint the notebook a few times with whatever colour, and then a few times with clear coat, should look awesome.
A quick Google search reveals RedBubble has some... interesting options. Amazon has this Nuka Cola notebook.
If you have an Apple or Android phone you can.

Tell Alexa "open skyrim" to play the game.
Even way back in 2011, this one person's first reaction to the reveal of the Dark Elves reminded them of Morrowind it seems in the comments:
https://www.moddb.com/games/skyrim/images/skyrim-character-creation7#imagebox
Idk, it's just interesting to me. Random thoughts.
What are you even implying here?
Jason wrote an article for a video game news website. In this article he says:
When you ask for a source, are you just expecting him to out his insiders from Bethesda? Really?
He is an editor for Kotaku.com. As for being credible, who knows. He did post correct details about Fallout 4 2 years before it released (link)
Fallout 76 is being developed by BGS, though. Both the studio in Maryland and the new studio in Austin. Todd himself made an appearance on the twitch stream. He is spearheading the project.
Sources are saying this is to be an online survival game. https://kotaku.com/sources-fallout-76-is-an-online-survival-rpg-1826425333
(Think DayZ and Rust.)
I know BGS has a second project that is in very early production right now. But we won't see that for a long time. (And there is no guarantee that project will be a mainline single player "classic" BGS role playing game, either.)
FO76 will be the only BGS game to take the stage at E3 this year. Some people are holding out hope there will be a second reveal. I do not share this sentiment... I really think FO76 is all we are going to get (from BGS) this year.
> Save this post and if I’m wrong I’ll pour a ton of ice cream on my head and post the clip.
Gonna hold you to that.
People believe that Fallout 76 will have some sort of multiplayer component because Jason Shreier said it will. 99.9% of gaming commentators are crap: Jason is in the 0.1% that actually deserve the title "journalist". He has a history of cultivating reliable sources within companies. For instance, he was the one that reported on Fallout 4's script leaks back in December 2013. He did exceptional reporting on Mass Effect Andromeda, including reporting there would be no DLC months before it was officially announced. And yesterday he told us the announcement would definitely not be Fallout 3.
Basically, we have a reliable source saying the game has some sort of multiplayer element.
You can read the full article here: https://kotaku.com/sources-fallout-76-is-an-online-survival-rpg-1826425333
Vanilla gets you the entire game and all the core features. Whatever you read about being in the game, you'll be able to experience.
The subscription is Fallout 1st, which gives you a private world/serve, unlimited item storage, "money" to spend in the online shop, and a few other perks.
It's not worth it unless you're an avid, everyday player and you play with friends.
As long as you have a PS Plus account, you'll be able to experience the entire game.
Hope that helps!
Yes, the whole game is being recreated using the Unity engine and I think some of the original assets/texture from the game (now that it's free).
You can see the mod's description and other news on moddb.com
It was announced in the first road map for 2020 in May that there would be two BoS content updates, Steel Dawn slated for the fall (already out), and Fractured Steel for the winter, which in practice likely means Q1 2021 with a possible delay to Q2. Steel Dawn is only the prologue to the full story line. There might be a trailer and release date/window announcement for Fractured Steel at or around The Game Awards on December 10, since the latest community calendar mentions a Game Awards trailer.
Commander Keen was one of ID Software's first popular games before Doom. If your interested, Master's of Doom is a pretty good read about the history of those games.
"Event" is a bit much - they have some sort of appearance on IGN's stream (https://www.ign.com/articles/summer-of-gaming-event-schedule-how-to-watch-lineup) on the DLC roadmap. Since we got a roadmap back in May (https://fallout.bethesda.net/ko/article/fPSas0ftnlgD0FcZNnMoL/fallout-76-inside-the-vault-introducing-the-2020-roadmap-and-76-seasons) I don't expect anything surprising, but maybe a few more details on things that have already been announced.
From the December 19 Inside the Vault:
> Steam Update
> Earlier this year, we had announced that Fallout 76 would be coming to Steam in 2019. Since then, we’ve received questions from some of you who are curious about when this will happen. Our launch on Steam is still on the way, but we’ve moved it closer to Wastelanders release in 2020. We don’t have additional details to share on this right now, but we will let you know as soon as we do.
You only get to launch on a platform once, so Bethesda are presumably waiting until they think the game's reputation has improved somewhat (insert snide wisecrack about waiting until the end of time here). I mean, how large is the category of people who would buy 76 at full price in its current state if it was only available on Steam?
According to this article, the armor can be kept without continuing to pay the subscription, the subscription is needed only for claiming it on the atom shop.
There has been an improvement to that issue according to recent patch notes, and possibly in older patches as well in case you stopped playing very early. Which is not to say enemies are bug free now, but the majority of complaints seem to be about different problems.
https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/latest/manuals/installation/install-game-files.html
they say this to do during installation of openmw; Morrowind (from existing installation)
On the “Select Installation Method” screen of the Installation Wizard, choose “Select an existing Morrowind installation” and click the “Next” button Select an installation. If nothing is detected, click browse. Navigate to the directory containing the file Morrowind.esm and select that file.
so basically you need to be able to get to the file MORROWIND.ESM
The Elder Scrolls: Blades could very well launch at or near E3, as it is still in early access as far as I know.
It seems likely that there will be at least a trailer for one or both of the upcoming Fallout 76 updates. Nuclear Winter (summer update) probably begins right after E3, while Wastelanders (fall) was teased earlier as the biggest and most ambitious update for 76 that will include a new main questline, so it might be worth showing off. Not least since the new Nuclear Winter mode may be somewhat controversial according to recent rumors.
The January 1st update says that they plan on having new vaults open, which most of the community has excepted as human NPCs being added in the future. Update found here: https://fallout.bethesda.net/article/5te3GDsV1eOM2YOKoyWoI6/fallout-76-inside-the-vault-january-1-2019
Just make sure you've signed up through this signup page. And here's the FAQ.
> We’re inviting players into Early Access on a rolling basis. Keep an eye on your email for the invite—and update your email preferences to make sure that we can reach you! We are doing our best to get everyone who signed up for Early Access into the game as quickly as possible!
So I don't know how long this process should take. If you did signup a few days ago then maybe they've had a lot more signups recently and it's throwing off their whole system. But also check your spam folder in case you got one already.
I currently use KeePass 2 for my personal passwords and Password Safe at work. Both of these keep their password databases on your local system, so they aren't dependent on an online service. That does, however, make synchronization difficult between devices. So something like LastPass would probably be better for most people because it handles cross-device synchronization and has actual consumer-level support. I believe it also has better integration with web browsers, making it easier to fill in passwords, so those are things to consider too. Because I haven't used LastPass, I hesitate to 100% recommend it, but there are several products like it and it's easy to find comparisons of the different available products online.
I recently switched jobs and Password Safe is the approved password manager at my new place of employment, so I've only been using Password Safe for a few months. It seems fine, but I prefer KeePass, although they are very similar in terms of features and functionality.
I've used KeePass for quite a while, for about the last 15 years. My approach for dealing with synchronization across devices is to store the database on Google Drive and access it from there. That sounds easy, but I have to admit that setting it up was a bit of a pain. Oh, I also only use Windows and Android devices, so I'm not sure if it supports Apple products.
One other thing worth mentioning is that most of these password manager tools are flexible enough that you can keep other information in them too, like SSNs and credit card numbers. Again, I'm not sure about all of them, but that's certainly true of KeePass and Password Safe.
https://www.amazon.com/Fallout-Legacy-Collection-PC-DVD-Computer/dp/B07ZKYJBMK It's an official product sold by official retailers where I live. I didn't buy it from Amazon, but from a game store from my country
