No Template, no pre-cut Legends? I got you, pal.

edit: why do i get downvoted?
You want feedback? Fine. All you did was make a pentagon with two in-game character models in it with some dropshadows and halftones in the background. You break the rule of thirds, the universal law of framing, by having both character models face the same way, confusing the eye on where the focal point is. Having them both facing away or towards the focal point allows the eye to travel more naturally. The colors are flat and don't go well together. A lighter red and a more greyish color would be better. Never use pure blacks as it's really hard to get good color schemes with them (I personally use adobe color to get my color schemes just right) The skyforged white contrasts severely with the black of the "logo", with an unnatural look to it. Unless you're working with only pure blacks and whites, never mix them so close like that. The text is bland, a default font that comes on any computer. Don't be afraid to install any new font packs online. There is no color correction with curves/vibrance/HSB so everything looks like it's on seperate ends of the color spectrum.
Not a fan of that idea. Totally ignoring their personalities is lame.
I only support it if everyone got girly skins.
I want Thatch in a tutu like this
I use OBS studio. I open the replay and play it slightly early. Then, I hit "start recording" and it will make a video in my Videos folder. Then you can keep it as a video. or go online and convert from .mp4 to gif. It's the same program most people use to stream for Twitch so it can make some high quality recordings.
Hey everyone, Ryoh here again. Today Nevia has drawn us Queen Nai. I hope you like it!
You can check out her older pictures on our <strong>twitter</strong>.
Don't forget to vote on the straw poll either. Ulgrim is currently leading the pack. With Lucien not far behind. Asuri, Caspian, and Jiro have been left in the dust. Everyone should know that I snuck Ulgrim into the poll, and Nevia is very worried about drawing him, and her fate is in your hands. <strong>Check that out here</strong>
Edit: I should add that the Straw poll will end when I post the next picture. So make sure to vote!
Hey guys. I'm here with another picture by Nevia. This time its Diana. Hope you like it! Check us out on twitter to see her other pictures. I have decided to do a straw poll to see if there was any characters you guys wanted to see drawn. She has picked several she would be happy to draw, but if you provide a good reason; Perhaps she can be persuaded to draw someone else. Thanks for the comments, and likes guys. We appreciate it!
Also u/Thesnipingshotgun Here's a Diana picture!
Since there's too much to upload, I'll just tell you how to do it. First, go to your Brawlhalla folder, this is usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Brawlhalla
.
There, you'll see 2* files, Level_Wacky.swf and Level_Ruins.swf. Put them through a swf to gif converter to get the levels, this is what I used. Then, you need to split the gif into its seperate images, so use a gif to frames tool, this is what I used. Then you can just save the images, good luck :)
TunnelBear, as far as I remember, has limited data so yeah. What I suggest is checking NordVPN (they have a lot of servers so there should be less lag, fast speeds), ExpressVPN (a bit more expensive but also fast). Pretty much any paid VPN will do, you can read a few reviews here and there to get a better idea. Reference:
Your uni probs bans the game so you can access it only by scrambling your IP
Ask u/Berthen if he can stream your event and commentate your event. I am sure he wouldnt mind, especially if there is some kind of payment. He does good job with his commentating and has good game knowledge.
I use https://obsproject.com/ and then upload to http://www.gfycat.com/ (hit the upload button and then just drag a video file in there. You can use File->Open Recordings Folder in OBS to find your videos.). Gfycats are awesome because they have higher quality than gifs at a fraction of the size. Gfycat won't take videos longer than 15s though.
I'm not sure how most people capture gifs, so I just use gyazo. I hate the quality of gyazo though. I'd recommend just doing video instead.
For gifs: https://gyazo.com/
For video: https://obsproject.com/
alr thx, also i know this is hard to answer but i have a lot of trouble with bow spammers and idrk what to do about it do you know anything i could do to deal with this
Where to get pre-set clan logos to start with, if you don't have the time to check each icon personally
For clan icons, you can introduce something similar to the UT2004-style clan icon bank. I think http://game-icons.net has a list of simple, two-toned, yet awesome vector icons for different projects, available under a Creative Commons Attibution License (commercial ok). These will work incredibly well on clan banners.
_
These will allow you to make a clan banner of your own (something like Bronze/Silver/Gold/Diamond tier banners, but for clans).
Make it possible to choose icon, icon color, banner type (shape, material), banner color, various graphical effects (like scratches, easily overlayed over vector), possibly banner borders (like nameplates, but for banners) and any animation like sparkling -- and there you go. Tens of thousands of variations, and the symbol database above looks good enough to be put into the game pretty much without any changes.
Wifi can be kind of unstable when gaming sometimes, no idea if this is the actual problem you are facing, but it's worth checking out.
Sorry if I explain something you already knew:
Wifi transfers its data through one of 14 channel, slightly different (but overlapping) frequencies to make one wifi signal more distinct than another. If it's been a long time since you rebooted your router, and there are multiple networks nearby, it could be that you are in the same channel as many others around you, which results in loss of data (which causes lag).
If you have an android smartphone, this will be an useful app where you can see what your channel is compared to the other networks in your area. If you see that the 'arc' of your wifi connection overlaps many others, it's best to reboot your router so it can recheck what channel is ideal to use. (most routers have that functionality, if rebooting does nothing you can always manually change settings in the router). There should be alternative apps for iPhone too, just search for wifi analyzer or wifi channels, something like that.
Also worth noting: Is your router near other electrical devices? A microwave, as example, seriously messes up the signal. So if someone in your house was preparing food you'd notice that. In tech support I seriously had a costumer angry that her internet stopped working like clockwork on 6:30 until 6:40pm, turns out her husband was using the microwave to defrost stuff around that time, with the router on the microwave..
If you're lagging and things are teleporting then what you're doing is about all you can really do.
Everyone uses auto mode and it is advantageous to use for combos but if used for general play, will make you very readable.
To pull yourself out of "auto-mode" is the hardest part of fighting games yet makes it much more rewarding. The first thing to realize is that while trying to fix this you will get worse before you get better, just accept that. The easiest way to get out of full auto mode is to ween yourself off of it slowly. The first rule of thumb in any fighting game is to keep your eyes on your opponent ~80% of the time (literally staring at your opponents character on the screen). It's hard at first but after a while it will come natural. The only time you should really look away is to help keep track of your position as well as the environment (in Brawlhalla, the weapon drops).
While you're in auto mode, you are not using much of the reasoning skills of your brain. Let yourself be in auto mode while playing while constantly watching your opponent. Focus on what you're opponent is doing and use the reasoning your brain is otherwise not, the auto stuff will take care of itself. When you get near your opponent, redirect your auto play based on what reasoning you have. The more you play, the quicker you will get at redirecting your auto play. At the start you may only be successfully redirecting your character 2 or 3 times a game but eventually you will be doing it 2-3 a second. At first it will feel like you're trying to direct an ant where to walk but after a while you will feel like you are the ant.
If you're looking for a good read about playing competitive games, I recommend "Playing to Win" by Sirlin (free online) or picking up a very old book (around 512 BC) called "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu.
Hope this helps.
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html Try this coverter. The patch will be live at 9/10 am EST. Just convert that time using the site provided to whichever time zone ypu are currently in.
Bummer, give this thread a shot (http://superuser.com/questions/282734/how-to-disable-nvidia-optimus-on-a-dell-xps-15 ). Some were able to disable/workaround it, one through bios (disabled IGP) another by switching primary display to Nvidia gpu.
Here is a replay uploaded to filedropper. I do it twice in a row with a sword. You put the replay in "C:/Users/WhateverYourNameIs/BrawlhallaReplays". Replay was saved on 12/26/15 so it's easier to find. EDIT: it's in the end of the match
I think Megaman would fit right in! Also compared to my Kor picture; i think I finally figured out paint!
Don't forget that Nevia can actually draw; we have started a poll about who she is gonna draw next. you can check that out <strong>here</strong>
hi, you need to install apk brawlhalla, then rename as zip, extract, and move the obb to Android >> Obb folder
https://apkpure.com/es/brawlhalla/air.com.ubisoft.brawl.halla.platform.fighting.action.pvp
I just want to say thank you everyone who joined. We had a amazing tournament with lots of cool people. The finals were really intense. And even ended up in a sudden death! But as a first organizing a tournament, i really had a lot of fun. Thank you everyone who joined, supported us, and watched the tournament. If you want to watch it back, here is the link to it: https://www.twitch.tv/thedailygrinding/v/58190054
Hey guys. I just wanted to post a couple updates. Nevia is almost finished with another picture that has nothing to do with the straw poll, but on that note.
Ulgrim is leading the pack with Lucien close behind. I honestly thought Caspian, Asuri, or Jiro would be more popular choices! Make sure you cast your vote if any of those characters interest you! <strong>Right Here</strong>.
Thanks for the support everyone!
Not to be outdone by Nevia; Here is my fan art of Kor. Man paint is hard guys. I hope no one gets too mad about this, and remember. Nevia can actually draw; So Look forward to her next drawing tomorrow! You can actually check it out early on our Steam account "Ryoh & Nevia". It will be up in an hour or so.
Nevia is also conducting a Straw poll to decide an upcoming picture. So make sure to cast your vote!
edit: Her picture just went up on steam if anyone wants to check it out early.
You might be referring to a different loot box available in Brawlhalla, I'm not aware of one that lets you get skins normally available for direct purchase. It's hard to say why I'd feel that's more acceptable, you're still spending money for rng rewards, but that reward is available for direct purchase. If you can buy direct that makes it better, because you get a choice whether or not you go for rng. However the random shouldn't be incentivized with a lower cost. I'd say if all skins are direct purchase for $5, and their is a chest that gives you any skin for $5 randomly, that's not so bad because it's like picking a random character before you fight. You aren't locked out of a direct purchase, so it's rng for those who like rng.
But going back to gambling and what it is or isn't. I don't feel you win every time, especially when something is only available by participating in the rng loot box, and you don't want every result. Your goal (if you choose to participate) is to roll the die (with your money) until you get the result you want (winning). That seems like gambling to me, so yes I do believe Overwatch and those other games (which I'm not too familiar with are gambling too).
If you don't believe me, at the very least you have to give some credit to the claim as their is a Belgium investigation going on as to whether or not they believe these types of practices are gambling. https://kotaku.com/battlefront-overwatchs-loot-boxes-under-investigation-1820486239
Maybe governments will push back and declare it not gambling, who knows. I personally believe spending money for an unknown result, where not all results are favorable by the user, is gambling. Funny enough, this could further be extrapolated to saying that collectable card games like MTG, Pokemon, etc are and have always been gambling as well. It's funny how it's accepted, and I myself when I thought of that was like, but I was okay with that in the past, but maybe I'm not now.
Yeah! It's already linked on the bottom of the image, but here it is again: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/8RijXvI1L4T
Based on my initial prints, it looks like resin is the only way to get the details, but I hope your friend enjoys it either way! Sounds like a wholesome fiendship :P
Sorry, I was a bit busy at work. I intern for the tech shop I mentioned.
- Now let's see, I looked it up. It seems to me that you might have used the wrong RAM.
> You are right about mixing different RAM modules—if there's one thing you absolutely can't mix, it's DDR with DDR2, or DDR2 with DDR3, and so on (they won't even fit in the same slots). RAM is pretty complicated, but there are a few things you can mix and a few things you shouldn't. In any case, I don't recommend it. If you're buying new RAM, you're probably going to make your life a lot easier by buying the exact same model as you currently have in your machine. That said, if you absolutely have to mix them, here are some general guidelines.
> You want to make sure each stick has the same CAS latency, timings, and voltage. While you can tweak these settings in the BIOS to make the two sticks match (we briefly showed you how when we discussed overclocking your processor), I don't know why you'd want to. You'd have to spend quite a bit of time messing around with it all, and probably underclock at least one of your DIMMs in the process—and there's no guarantee it would work even then. Really, it's a lot more trouble than it's worth.
https://lifehacker.com/5598716/what-are-the-rules-on-mixing-two-different-types-of-ram
You submitted a text post, you need to submit a link post instead and then if you still want to say something, leave a comment instead. But if you make a link post, RES will automatically allow pictures/gifs/most videos to be displayed without opening a new tab via a little button you can press next to the post, so there's no need for any fancy embedding code or anything.
oh maybe only xbox cables have the knob on em. here
First off, make sure your sticks don't wiggle much. Then, I recommend this application to tweak the left thumb sensitivity to have less dead zone. Made things much more responsive for me.
Just out of curiosity, how do you play with a mouse? I can't imagine myself using it, since I would be confident only with pressing LMB/RMB and not the side buttons for moves.
Anyway, have you tried this? http://dualmonitortool.sourceforge.net/ I haven't actually tested it, but it seems that it might do pretty much what you want.
Also, a 'dirty' solution might be to rearrange your monitor, so that it is diagonally to your main screen, thus reducing the chances of clicking out.
EDIT: Just tested the Dual monitor tool and it works exactly as you wanted.
Quick guide:
1) Start the app, it will start minimized in your taskbar
2) Right click the icon -> Options (or double click to icon)
3) Go to Cursor -> General
4) Set hotkey for "Lock cursor onto screen"
5) Press the hotkey to lock your cursor in the current monitor and enjoy (hitting the hotkey again after the cursor has been locked will unlock the cursor, so no need to set any other hotkey)
Replays
Replay Folder located here:
C:\Users\YourName\BrawlhallaReplays or you can go to your replays in-game and click the folder icon and it will open the replay folder for you
Put them inside a ZIP folder
Use http://puush.me/ to upload them and send the link to me here or PM me
Personally I use photoshop and FireAplaca. I have used ms paint but I wouldnt really reccomend it.
Photoshop Free Trail Link: https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/photoshop?promoid=61PM825Y&mv=other
Fire Alpaca Link: http://firealpaca.com
I use pixlr E, A website for editing photo for free and no watermark. if you want to color legend you need pc and brawlhalla, open brawlhalla, go to options, select image render tool here's a video to make this high Quality https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Amr188Uy7M . Pixlr E https://pixlr.com/e/ have fun!
For those of you who do not own Illustrator, there's Inkscape, it's a free and open source vector creator that is completely awesome. It also has a bitmap tracing tool in there.
I personally use both and decide which I'm going to use based on the situation. In this case I would use Illustrator because the bitmap tracing functionality is a tad easier to use, but if I'm doing an isometric drawing I prefer Inkscape.
Bonus: Inkscape works with Linux nearly flawlessly out of the box (and is probably better than I remember since it's been a few years)
I used to do a ton of vector work and then real life happened, maybe I'll get back to it someday.
I just want to note that everything I'm talking about is pre-patch.
The combo I'm referring to isn't the one you've linked but something like this: https://sendvid.com/d0wgw487
or
https://www.reddit.com/r/Brawlhalla/comments/5n79ak/advanced_hammer_0death_6_dodge_frames_total_but/
it did more dmg so you could kill with it, I find it weird that the second link I sent isn't true, I was convinced that the stomp, throw, dlight would be true up to red since the triggerhappy combo worked that way :/
Might be worth checking out pingplotter and running it while playing brawl and see if there are any connection failures on your side. Free (for 14 days) program and shows you all the connections between your PC and whatever website you choose.
This works great for me. I'm just a shitty artist so I mostly just screw with maps and sounds.
You can check the next official tournaments at smash.gg/brawlhalla.
If you follow Brawlhalla on Twitter, I think that's enough. Normally they tweet when a tournament is starting.
Also, you can join the official discord server. There's a special role and a special channel to get notified about esports news.
there's one more, not very standard fix, that might work, and that is using a game booster. if it doesnt work for you try specifically this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.g19mobile.gamebooster
it worked for some people, and might work for you
if it doesnt, cant help you.
You can upload it to twitter then get the twitter link from your phone then put the link in this app and it saves to your gallery so you can post it anywhere
Oooh you may need to check this out.
Because you've lost your marbles putting Cross over Petra and Mordex.
If you have the means, play multiple different fighting games. Every fighting game tends to focus on something different. I also recommend reading "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu if you really want to get hardcore into the strategy of pvp games. More of a general tip but it helps with pretty much every game.
Things that help with all fighting games:
Experiment a lot, go into training mode, set the bots to do something other than stand there and limit yourself with certain conditions (eg: only kill with gimps, only hit with combo's, only parry, etc.)
Play a lot of different fighting games (if possible), different fighting games teach you certain techniques/strategies faster than others
Play with friends who also want to get better, it's more fun and you can work together to learn things (no random person is going to stop in the middle of the fight to let you try something new)
I you want to get "hardcore" in the strategy read books such as "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and/or "Playing to Win" by Sirlin.
Keyboards are better, but gamepads are fine if you use the ones made for fighting games. I am surprised with how many gamepad users play on an Xbox controller... That is one crappy fighting game controller (for example, the shoulder buttons are TERRIBLE for fighting games, but they are great for shooting games).
I use the controller below and it is pretty awesome. I highly recommend it if you do not want to switch to keyboard. It has only a dpad, but it is more accurate than the analog sticks. It does not take too long to get used to though.
I've played this game with WiFi every time and my internet is consistent. Updates and patches usually mess with their servers which make it lag for some people. I was rubber-banding for a month straight until a patch fixed the issue. If its impossible to use ethernet I suggest buying this:
Edit: Don't buy this since you do use Ethernet, all you can do is just hope an update fixes it and email BMG
I play on the DS4 like you and I love it. You should look into the Madcatz FightPad series if they look like something you could use. You can get the 360 models relatively cheap like the one I showed (actually thats the one I own as well) and its quite responsive and comfortable. I don't use it simply cause I got so accustomed to the Joystick on the DS4
https://www.amazon.com/Tt-eSPORTS-Poseidon-Mechanical-KB-PZR-KBBRUS-01/dp/B013AU5MYU
It has a "NKRO" switch, although it seems to enumerate as three keyboards whether or not it's activated. For whatever reason, I've never had trouble with it when I've messed with multi-keyboard, just using RawInput and not doing anything special to group keyboards. Possibly I've just been using keys from the same virtual keyboard. Maybe it only registers keypresses on the second and third keyboard when more than the limit for one keyboard is reached. I guess it means that it's not true NKRO - only 18-key.
Edit: Further testing suggests that the keyboard can register more than 18 keys at a time. I don't know what's going on.
https://www.amazon.com/Genius-Scorpion-Gaming-Keyboard-31310471100/dp/B00ZUPM5GC i use this one, it's not mechanical but it has a antyghost system, so i think it would be usefull for you, also thanks for try to implement this, it's a really awesome thing to give some love to keyboard players <3
Those of us over at LeftStickDown would also be interested in this information.
Edit: found these Daelman's Caramel Wafer, Stroopwafel 8.11 OZ (230g) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EF2MHF0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_v2JkybYT056ZG
If you are serious about tilt, these two books are probably the highest rated books on this topic:
https://www.amazon.com/Inner-Game-Tennis-Classic-Performance/dp/0679778314
https://www.amazon.com/Mental-Game-Poker-Strategies-Confidence/dp/0615436137
Those two books apply to more than just Brawlhalla, of course.
i have a flightpad too :), ive played with other Bluetooth adapters to make it work but its always been so finicky. but after I bought a mayflash Dolphin bar (which is mainly used for the dolphin emulator but has a option to use wii remotes as a pc controller) and as I said joypad, it was really easy to configure.
I got a dolphin bar from here
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mayflash-W010-Dolphin-Bar-Wireless/dp/B00HZWEB74
I recently started using the Hori Sports Pad Pro which has octagonal gates around each analog stick. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I'm truly enjoying the controller. Note that I did need to get extra thumbstick covers because the thumbsticks wear very quickly and feel strange on the thumbs -- I got these which fit perfectly.
So you use Joy2Key for that? You could use that Mayflash adapter so that you dont need sofware.
I use the Wii Classic (non pro version) and the only other controller I tried that I like (I bought like 5 or more, no joke) is the Hori Commander 4 (http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Fighting-Commander-Controller-PlayStation-4/dp/B00TKLFES8).
This one is plug and play with no adapter (but you cant taunt unfortunately, unless BMG allows us to bind taunts to buttons). So I might switch to this one soon cuz it does feel more responsive than my Wii Classic (I think the adapter adds a bit of delay).
Edit: Also, it works on PS4 so once Brawlhalla hits PS4 and there are lan tourneys using the PS4, we ready son. lol
At the price you're getting it at, ~USD 66 I would recommend getting a xbox one controller. Higher quality and native windows support.
But it really depends on your personal preference.
Buy this and you'll never want for a better brawlhalla control setup. Next patch has fixes for it, but it still works well currently.
The dpad is phenomenal. Other people seem to have answered your arcade stick question so I'll just dump this here.
As someone that prefers D-Pad, I actually use this controller: http://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Classic-USB-Gamepad-PC/dp/B002B9XB0E.
The buttons are switched around a bit by default, but I actually prefer the new configuration. The Turbo/Clear buttons don't seem to do anything.
Of course, I'm just a filthy silver.
I can't say for sure yet but I've just ordered this controller and I'm really excited about it. It's like the ps3 controller but with the analog in the main position and octagonal. There's a stick on the back of it that presumably helps with sports games but I'm guessing it won't get in the way.
Either that or a gamecube style controller.
I've been using an xbox 360 controller since I've started but it's time to change, I've killed myself many times dodging the wrong way because I mess up the diagonals on a circular analog.
D-Pad doesn't have this problem though, use that until you get an octagonal analog!
Steam Translation Server is a thing. But then I won't be able to take part because of my limited account. I'd like them just to send me some editable file and I'll do all the work on my own. Just like I've translated this game. As for now, I'd like just to be able at least write text in my language in the chat.
