Rock and Stone brother.
Update 18 is now live on Steam
It should land on Xbox in an hour (11.00 UTC)!
Windows 10 Store version delayed a few hours! (Bjørn, our release manager, forgot to push the final button - he promises it will not happen again!)

Thanks a ton for all your hard work! After looking into the process a bit more, it seems Valve is holding off on whitelisting this game due to a voice chat transmission issue.
you got hit by the geyser below, for some reason it puts you back into first person. This has happened to me in the sandblasted corridors when a wind tunnel hit me. I was confused as well until I looked closer. this is a not very well known bug, and I have already reported so it may be fixed in the future. https://medal.tv/clips/48740478/ad1337GPCxX5jC
I think that's the case. I'm about 60 hours in and I have all the class upgrades purchased and I'm on tier 4 of 5 for perks.
The difference between buying now and later... probably not a ton besides additional content. We know there's a 5th class coming but most of the other announced features have already arrived.
These are those features: An epic Boss monster that will challenge your cooperative skills. WAITING
A 5th Dwarf class. WAITING
An updated Vanity system for much more detailed customization of your dwarf (more beards!) ONGOING
Random Mission mutators to further challenge players. DONE
Stats for each player - the company will track your performance as an employee and award you (or punish you!) accordingly. DONE
An advanced damage system to add more depth to the combat. WAITING
A new/updated Class Upgrade system. DONE with ONGOING updates
More enemies, more cave content, more biomes, more fun on the Spacerig, more barrels, more, more, MORE! ONGOING
Here's the roadmap they use - content here looks like it runs up through everything we have with mostly polish and extras waiting. We've gotten a lot from the "and then maybe" column which I think is pretty awesome. https://trello.com/b/WnyLwyv2/deep-rock-galactic-roadmap
Ever since I played Half-Life: Alyx, I wished every game had the "shift" teleportation option.
I always felt the screen going black on teleport to be distracting, but on the other hand continuous motion with joystick is also completely unbearable.
Shift is a great middle ground for me.
So friggin cool. I’ll edit in a link. 100% open source mix of BotW, Minecraft, Dark Souls and like WoW I wanna say? Runs on Linux, Mac, PC. Very active development, it is going to be the basis of many games in the future because it’s better than a lot of other indie titles and is open source. It’s a spiritual successor to Minecraft in the best way.

This little thing right here. Though I'd of course be aware that just because something causes less pain shouldn't be excuse to stress the hand more.
I do also make regular use of an AutoHotKey script that turns the numpad into a mouse, so for regular browsing I use Num0 and Num. for left and right click.
Also note it has no scroll wheel, so some guys where that's an important navigation tool it could be quite an issue. I've lack the time (as in time I can spend without incurring pain) to run into that, just focused on two games.
Emulation might be possible, but I'd be surprised if you can get decent performance out of a 3D game. I wouldn't even consider it a viable option, personally.
If they have a Chromebook that can run Android apps, they could subscribe to GeForce Now and buy the game on Steam.
Have them try to install this app to their Chromebook. If that works then they might be in business. However I have a Samsung Chromebook Pro which can run Android Apps and it's listed as incompatible. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nvidia.geforcenow&hl=en_US
EDIT: https://9to5google.com/2020/06/04/geforce-now-chromebook/ My Samsung Chromebook is not an Arm powered Chromebook which would explain the incompatibility. So your friend may have a shot!
In fact, read "Earthcore" by author Scott Sigler.
It's all about the idea of an alien race defending their crashed spacecraft made from platinum from miners.
It has great background on mining, metallurgy, gunfights and cool stuff.
He is a NY Times best selling author.

Must have followed me back from the Amazon region of Hoxxes. Linking the coordinates here.

A trigger attachment? What?
https://www.amazon.com/Collective-Minds-Strike-Pack-Eliminator-Mod/dp/B08MS2Y6QC
That ain't a trigger attachment. You plug it into the charging port on your controller then plug it into your Playstation or Xbox to make it work.
And like I said, you go to their website and can essentially install mod packs onto the thing which you can activate on the fly.
This plus check your NAT settings. If you have strict set and other folks are using open or moderate you can experience some of the symptoms you are describing.
Back in the day Xbox had a lot of games that suffered from this, the docs are good for understanding the issue. Just adapt them to whatever you are using:
're%20only,games%20for%20some%20Xbox%20titles.
Just BE AWARE that the more open your NAT, the more at risk you are of attack, NordVPN has some info on it:
Although this may not solve the XP problem, I like how Vermintide handles leveling and joining games. Essentially it's level locked. Not much of a solution when your player base is small you need/want to guarantee a game, though.

Vermintide hands out XP for quantifiable contributions though, which may ruin the comradery this game instills by dropping the XP/(kill+mined_ore) idea. Im not sure how you approach it. I think a decent solution would be to split XP earned by a ratio of the time you spent in game. For example, you spend 1.0 time in-game (you joined the session at pre-drop or during drop). The moment that door opens until the time it ends, the ratio dips (which could be a function. Here's some examples just messing around https://www.desmos.com/calculator/mee2773bib). The current case is the red function, where it's always 1.0. You could use something like an arc tan to get gradually decreasing XP until a minimum, say 15% (which would be joining at the end, cause you could still help a little). Or you could use a piecewise function combining logarithmic/exponential/linear functions to try and satisfy some fairness doctrine. In my opinion, you should still get XP, but it should matter more if you've been there longer -- not so much about individual kills or mines. Even if you're a scrub, I appreciate having people to play with.
Like, do you need special DRG dice, or do you just want any
Hahaha... you're serious?
This low-quality mug on Amazon is $28. It's got no details, isn't dishwasher safe, doesn't look very great, and according to reviews the handle straight up snaps off.
You're looking at a minimum of $50, possibly up to $100. It's gonna need great detailing to be game accurate, quality construction, very durable to last repeated use, probably insulated to keep the drink cold/hot, heat resistant, food safe, safe to wash, and large enough to match the games model. That's all expensive.
There's a similar leaf collecting claw product that is practical enough to justify buying as an adult.
Can't speak to this brand, but here's an example https://www.amazon.com/MEKKAPRO-Scoops-Ergonomic-Grabbers-Removal/dp/B07RFKCV83/ref=asc_df_B07RFKCV83
This kind of thing might be your ticket. But I am a PC gamer, and I haven't used something like this before, and I don't know if it quite allows the full M&K range, or if it even works in all games (note, I'm not advocating the linked device specifically either, I'm just calling attention to the fact this kind of thing exists).
But if you get it from an entity that allows returns, you could give it a try and see if it meets the need.
Game works perfectly fine for me on Proton 5.13 on both my desktop and laptop.
Don't use Proton 6.3 due to regression issues with Deep Rock Galactic.
The icons are a bit too detailed. You have to test them at small sizes.
The lootbug love one could do without the arrows and the dwarf.
The radar doesn’t look like a radar, it looks like a target. I recommend using [https://thenounproject.com] to look up icons and symbols for any word, I use it often for inspiration. Here’re some radars https://thenounproject.com/search/?q=Radar
It's not pretty, but also not a big nerf. Carpet will still have its use over splintering. Here's a graph of area damage (assuming base radius is 2m and base area damage is 11). https://www.geogebra.org/graphing/fvgyf5up
The x-axis is radius, the y-axis is damage/10. After the nerf, if you're hitting at least 3 enemies at a time with splintering, you'd instead be better off with carpet (not counting you missing direct hits or any enemies in the increased radius).
I've got over 1000 hrs in the game and only had a few times my internet had issues and dropped me, or if I'm hosting, the group. Sounds like you need to check your internet connection as it could be a few things: modem, router, switch, or actual ISP problem. I recommend PingPlotter as it's free to use and will show you what kind of packet loss or jitter your connection has. There is plenty of tutorials on the site as well as youtube.
Here you go: https://discord.com/invite/drg
But instead I would highly suggest that the next time you play the game make sure to check out the computer terminal next to the pickaxe customization terminal. It's called something like the Miner's Guild terminal.
Here you can join one of three guilds and there should be a link to the Discord server and you'll also get in-game rewards for joining that way.
I used to use candles, in situations like this (or even with small holes) the candle would go out, or in marginal cases, it would be very dim. I solved this by cutting a hole in the rear top of the pumpkin (to let out hot candle exhaust) and one in the rear back (to let oxygen in, drawn in by the hot gas escaping the top). I did this on all pumpkins of any design just to maximize flame brightness, unless it was so open that you could easily see the vents in the back.
For the last ~4 years that's all been out the window because nowadays you can just buy incredibly bright LEDs. I use a pair of these from Walmart, leaned against the back wall, and they run at full brightness for at least 8 hours on 4 AAAs each. Takes some of the craft out of it, but as candles have generationally shifted from a decoration in and of themselves to a glorified fragrance delivery system, it was getting increasingly hard to find good "light-emitting" candles (as opposed to decorative tea-light kinda flames) so I'm glad that the technology finally matured enough. You don't get the same flicker but that's pretty easy not to notice inside a mostly-closed pumpkin, and you get a lot more options in how you carve things because you can just shine through practically anything, so ultimately I think it's worth it.
I see that this one costs 499 if it's used.
It says that
>AMD Radeon RX 460 Graphics: up to 20% faster performance than competing GTX 960M graphics - perfect for playing mainstream game titles
I play on a GTX 960M at 1080p@60fps with medium to high settings (I have 16GB instead of 8GB but from what I know the recommended requirements for DRG is 8GB, so it shouldn't be a problem).
