Summer doesn't end until the next Tuesday, September 22nd, guys!
I recommend bookmarking Bethesda's news page and checking it every morning to see if there's a new town hall up.
Hi there! For the full list of our currently supported devices, check out the FAQ here: https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/blades/faq

For iOS devices, Blades is currently supported on:
• iPhone 6s and newer
• iPhone SE
• iPad Pro
• iPad Mini 4 and 5
• iPad Air 2 and 3
Here, https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/bethesda-softworks-llc/the-elder-scrolls-blades/the-elder-scrolls-blades-1-0-0-748582-release/the-elder-scrolls-blades-1-0-0-748582-android-apk-download/ this is what I used to play it on my s7
Dramatic title because I'm upset/passionate for this game...

>Take on limited-time Quests multiple times a week.
Yes, that’s the first point in the 1.8 patch notes. I didn’t want to believe Bethesda meant it literally.
We finally get new content (a new sub-game mode, even), but unlike jobs, Abyss, and Arena (where we can play as much as we want), Event Quests are time-gated.
Even the Sigil Shop is time-gated. You can’t even browse. All of the items simply go away.
To buy Lichkiller, a 899-Sigil-costing item (exclusive to the Sigil Shop, if you don't have luck crafting, tempering, and enchanting your own Dragonbone Longsword), you’ll have to do Event Quests every time they’re available for seemingly a whole month or longer* (Sigil rates TBD). That’s IF it doesn’t rotate in and out like other items do, because at that point, who knows when it’ll come back.
u/CVH, maybe you can tell me in public-relations speak how this isn't anti-consumer game design.
Edit: I don't even know if I care anymore, as this is what we've come to expect with this game since the beginning; just an awesome, anti-consumer game.
Supposed to be supported according to the FAQ page-
https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/blades/faq
What devices will Early Access support?
A: Our goal is to support as many Android and iOS devices as possible, and we will evaluate additional devices on an ongoing basis. The list of supported devices follows:
• iPhone 6s and newer
Not true. I have a Moto Z3 and it says not compatible on G Play. Downloaded an apk and it runs fine on my phone other than the occasional frame rate hiccup.
I've just installed .apk from apkpure.com (downloaded .apk in phone internal storage, tap to install and agreed to install an app from unknown sources when my phone asked me). Yes, official stores allow you to install the game only if your phone is on supported devices list, they are not really checking if your phone is actually capable to run Blades or not. But, I think, there should be some hardware and software requirements too. I've seen some posts here early in spring from people who were stuck on 'sorry, your device in not capable to run Blades, update your device' or something like that in-game screen. Is it your case?
Sadly, these are existing quests that you've already completed. I don't know why the lines weren't appearing on your map before. The lines connect dots--those dots are quests or steps to quests (like level limits). The lines begin dashed, and as you complete them they become solid. If you tap on the dots you'll see the quests and their status. Here's the patch note that announced the map, and you can see the line system: https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/article/lwzO4hKNE6GvPokmdku5j/the-elder-scrolls-blades-patch-1-9-notes
The red are the quests for the Queen, the blue line are the Arena quests, the purple are the Thalmor and Henrik, and so on.

I have never read anything about the game being open world - nor has every Elder Scrolls game been open world. It was advertised as an Elder Scrolls game for mobile and it has delivered on that front.
If the game were fully released with all of the content complete as it stands today then yes it would be a failure but they are releasing content fairly quickly and it hasn't yet reached official release. The quest content is approaching the amount of content you'd find in many games released today. You can beat many A title games that cost $60 in 15-20 hours.
I'm just saying the game is on the right path - there are far worse games to complain about and there is nothing Blades does that is a real dissapointment to me. The combat is far better than every elder scrolls game I've played outside of ESO - and it is handicapped by being stuck on a Mobile platform across dozens of devices.
My PlayStore also said my Mi A1 is not compatible. But manually installing the APK directly from Apkpure/Apkmirror, it gets installed and run flawlessly.
I believe Play Store only filter in these supported devices https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/blades/faq And if you're not on the list, they just throw you out, even though your devices does have the resource to run the game itself
In what country do you live? I'm in the Netherlands and using Android. Using the Play Store app I can't find Blades anymore, but if I go to this page it still says I've registered for the game. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.blade
Maybe they're pulling the game from countries they don't want to launch in immediately?
The ingame menu was extremely laggy on my Pixel 2XL - that was my biggest frustration there really - on my Pixel 4XL it runs much better (but not perfectly).
I think part of the issue TBH could be scaling of resolutions in portrait and landscape modes - sometimes buttons just don't seem to work and you have to press them HARD - which I think likely causes you to hit wherever the actual button is. This is just a theory of mine but it is why I dont play in landscape because when I would use 3 ability buttons they would only work 50% of the time and it kept getting me killed so I switched to portrait and they work perfectly.
This game definitely still has bugs and is not yet ready for prime time I agree with that for sure.
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9106&idPhone2=8720
In these benchmarks your phone performs very similarly to my Pixel 2 XL so I get your frustration - upgrading my phone made the game much more enjoyable to me.
The game isn't in my playstore, but i could download and also update it! And i am playing right now, it's just a bit laggy, but my phone is getting worse each month, it survived several sporty activitys!
And right now i play the easy levels to grind a bit and will play on switch later this year,
I think dungeon crawler games are fun and exploring dungeons is still great :)
I would try to Use the "Download APK" button.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zenimax.bladesline
This one, I think it's a region specific thing? No clue why it's so behind on updates though, maybe Blades didn't do so well over here. I guessed that my version isn't up to date because according to Playstore, the game was last updated on 2020. But the other Blades, the original one, was last updated sometime this year.
Thanks for the video for reference.
The first thing I notice is you are playing in a much smaller resolution that I am- your thumbstick is about twice the size of mine and you are definitely getting less frames than me - my screen rotates much smoother but that could be a difference in the resolution as well.
I have the option to record in 720HD or 420SD in Google play games. When I look at the Mp4s of my recordings it says they are 34.94 to 48.05 FPS at 720X1280. Now in Portrait mode my phone is 1440X2880 so this is recording at half my resolution but obviously it is recording at my actual framerate which is over 30. Youtube bumps this up to 60 FPS on their platform.
Looking at your phone despite being newer it lags behind mine and definitely lags behind the Samsung Galaxy S8 which share the same CPU and GPU in graphics performance. My phone I can tell barely performs with this game and if I play it too long it gets hot and really starts to lag but my GPU and CPU are at the ultra high end and yours depsite being newer is only at the mid range for today.
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9738&idPhone2=8720&idPhone3=8161
I bet they capped your play at 30FPS because that's the best they could get out of it and I doubt I'm getting 60FPS. With that said the Youtube video you linked plays very similarly to mine.
Hope this helps.
Look here for a comparison against the Note Edge, a high-end model that came out back in 2015. This was my old phone and it wasn't able to run Blades too. Look at performance tests at the bottom of the page.
In Basemark OS test (benchmark for overall performance), it scores only slightly lower.
In Basemark X (benchmark for GPU performance), it scores significantly lower.
Now look at a comparison against a current-gen high end phone, the Note 9. Now the difference is even more significant.
So I don't think that it has to do with early-access and more with the fact that your phone is simply not powerful enough, especially in the GPU department.
I don't care about "old" phones.
https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s6-6849.php
You saw those cores? Frequencies? That RAM?
Bethesda is going to tell me that my phone can't run that game at minimum (stable and fluid) ??
Please...
Scroll down, there is a version from 4th of april, install that
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/bethesda-softworks-llc/the-elder-scrolls-blades/the-elder-scrolls-blades-1-0-0-750819-release/the-elder-scrolls-blades-1-0-0-750819-android-apk-download/. There was an update on April 4th. I recently switched to a Pixel 3, but apkmirror was working for me on my S7 Edge before that.
Just download the apk file here
And open it and allow your phone to install it.
If you dont know how to install apk, just search on youtube for some tutorials
I got the email but my phone is not supported yet (Huawei P20 Lite).
Downloaded the apk from here and it is running fine.
I got it work by using APKmirror from my browser on my phone and downloading it that way.
Managed to get it from here but my device is not supported , gutted , with try on tablet later
It was removed in patch 1.2. At the time, only PvE existed, Arena and Events came later as well as adjustments to enemy weakness/resistance that made elemental damage more potent. The converts enchantment made any weapon arguably worse because even if you got the same 'converts damage' as your primary enchantment, elemental damage doesn't crit. And obviously if you got one that differs, it made that weapon trash. With Arena and now elemental dependent Events, that secondary would see some life again.
you can download the apk here, at this link if your on android, LG G6 isn't supported yet, but it works perfctly fine when i installed it anyway

we can remember the first blades town hall. they say they are listening for feedback. Yes, they have been successfully ignoring feedback for over a year. u/CVH https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/article/5F0o4gROJsDv3hAtEkUjCc/blades-town-hall-what-the-future-holds-may-update
Going to the Blades website and reading through the different patch notes, would give a more thorough and detailed answer as to what has changed in the game, than a response anyone could reply with.
Not sure what you're experiencing then because I attack people casting paralyze or poison cloud on me all the time and they always go through.
Spell Overhaul: Several permanent changes to spells are afoot! Casting can no longer be interrupted, the Willpower perk now provides damage resistance when casting, spells are now more powerful, and much more.
If you didn't like chest timers, I have good news - they were completely removed in one of our recent updates!
I hope you enjoy the game. Feel free to check out our website to see the other recent updates, including the addition of PvP mode and Loadouts.
And there was an update on the release. Try using google
Instead of downvoting people trying to be helpful why don’t you stop being a smart ass little brat and look it up for yourself
It literally says “one-on-one” against other players in the 1.5 town hall.
Yeah, that’s the same client version I show. The bundle version I have is 1.4.0.875875.6325852 All I know is I had that bug with Saashi and it was fixed with the 1.4 update as stated in the patch notes under bug fixes: design and gameplay.
Wooden and silver still follow the old chest cycle. Elders are now randomized as stated in the E3 patch 1.1 notes.
I believe the E3 update changed things again so that the Elder Chest drops are truly random: https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/article/1mxMrnBvo7oVZa3HJ5wcto/the-elder-scrolls-blades-update-1-1-patch-notes
" The timing of the Elder Chest Job rewards has been randomized."
Looks Bethesda Game Studios posted above, but I didn't believe that user, but it really is added as an updated patch note on their site.
Read the official patch notes for a full list of changes.
Hi there! Update 1.2 is live now, and you can find patch notes pinned to this subreddit, as well as here: https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/article/1M5vrFGo2pVTkclVKdSDl7/the-elder-scrolls-blades-update-1-2-patch-notes
“All progress and purchases made during Early Access will carry over into the final game when it launches.”
This isn’t Bethesda’s fault - it’s Apple.
The App Store doesn’t allow specific devices that are not compatible with an app to be filtered out on the app's page. Atm, developers can't do this without ruling out other devices that are actually compatible.
This is why you see some devs adding a compatibility list in the description of their games. Although, Bethesda should’ve done that at the start. Here is the compatibility list:
> iPhone 6s and newer > iPhone SE > iPad Pro > iPad Mini 4 and 5 > iPad Air 2 and 3
Also, most of the time compatibility involves hardware specs, not software versions.
The oldest supported model for the game is the iPhone 6s, which has a A9 chip, which offers 70% more CPU performance and 90% more graphics performance than the A8.
The iPhone 5s only has the A7 chip and also only carries 1 GB of RAM. It likely cannot run Blades. Not to mention, it is a 6 year old phone that will no longer receive software support soon.
These are a list of all compatible devices.
• iPhone 6s and newer
• iPhone SE
• iPad Pro
• iPad Mini 4 and 5
• iPad Air 2 and 3
• Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+
• Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+
• Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+
• Samsung Galaxy Note 8
• Samsung Galaxy Note 9
• Google Pixel 2/2XL
• Google Pixel 3/3XL
• OnePlus 5 and newer

I own a Xperia XZ Premium. My old phone died and I only just bought the thing but today I can't find blades on the play store. I live in Australia. I'd be pissed if it's no longer supported because, again, I only just bought it. It's in the list of supported devices. https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/blades/faq?utm_content=Bethesda%20Game%20Studios&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=Community&sf99393463=1

A: The closed beta is NOT the same thing as Early Access. Early Access is still happening. You can find more information in the Early Access section below.

No problem at all! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Blades FAQ
I am not sure how old this site is but i can read what it says
The entirety of the closed beta is under NDA, but Early Access won't be!
Here's the closed beta/Early Access FAQ for further info: https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/blades/faq
Q: Is the closed beta under NDA? A: Yes, it will be under NDA. If you are chosen to participate in the closed beta you may not post screenshots or videos, stream any part of the game, or discuss the game—online or otherwise.
From what this page says, the beta is only iOS.
Hey folks - just a friendly reminder that the official FAQ explicitly states that selected participants cannot post screenshots/videos, stream, or discuss the game—online or otherwise.
Because of this, any material we believe to be leaked from the Closed Beta will be removed from the subreddit, with offending users risking a ban from the subreddit altogether.
Thank you all for your understanding, and congratulations to those who were invited! Hopefully there will be more invites sent out in the near future to bring more folks on board. :)
Closed beta is NOT the same as early access! A closed beta is internal testing of the game, the early access and full game will be for both iOS and android devices ☺️ So.. don’t worry!
https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-13-preview/features/
Doesn’t currently say on breakdown, only confirms what it’s tested on. But does say something like ‘may apply to others’
Added the link above so you can see full feature set.
I was reluctant to start to begin with. If I had to buy an Apple something I definitely wouldn't be posting here.
I'd post a question this morning to that effect, and someone had listed this.
That's exactly what I'm saying. 3,700 is TINY. 3700 X $10 entry is $37,000 - that game has not made its development costs back.
Compare 3,700 reviews for a game release many years ago to a game released mere months ago that is Free To Play.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.accovenant
Edit: As I anticipate the "But yeah that's a well known franchise" response, let's look at Hungry Shark World's numbers by comparison to Valiant Hearts.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.hungrysharkworld
Look at the Square Enix section of the stores, or SNK. Minecraft is another good example. Are these AAA? Not really (I'd argue SNK/Square Enix are) but how about Ubisoft (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.adventure.valiant_hearts_ggtv).
That's also kind of the point. You've not heard of them because they don't sell. They don't grow a fanbase and so are doomed to obscurity.
For those who wonder:
I played the android game Crashlands with this thing and also stream pc games to my smartphone via the app Moonlight. And I would love to play some blades with my controller in bed. It would be a very cool addition!
The page still exists https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.blade&hl=en_US
But you can't download it because it says incompatible, though it seems they have uploaded a version of the game because now it says there is app premissions, maybe they are preparing the Early Access version?
Here you go matey, Android here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bethsoft.blade
Note that I'm also on the 'THANKS FOR DOWNLOADING' page, patiently waiting. :'(
if you can't find it using your phone that may mean you don't have a compatible device. Here's the direct link to google play store.
