This is one I have used before and it works well. Only problem is the touch control can be finicky, would suggest pairing a Bluetooth controller which is what I use. As for downloading the ROM, google it.
Have you read the book 'On the way to a smile' it's based on events hust after the game and just before AC. It talks about how both sephiroth and aerith are in the life stream. Sephiroth is trying to get back to the living but aerith is fighting to keep the world safe from the lifestream. You should really read this! Basically explains everything you just said! https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1975382358/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_4VK7MT64339WFNE0WYWP
If you're replaying I'd suggest you try out New Threat. It's a gameplay mod that brings extra content and rebalanced items/mechanics. For example, each character has an unique ability.
Now, about graphics, audio, and interface try seeing this "mod" to see if the results are to your liking. It's actually a video tutorial of several mods, I'm using 90% of them.

I figured I'd make a relaxed Amino revolving around my favorite game, and I encourage anyone else to join without having to worry about a lot of rules or drama.

Says it won't release until Dec 28 which is a weird time to release anything, but at least it's being translated!
ok i got it! im using a ps4 controller with ds4windows 2.1.1.
there are unofficial ones live like:

no affiliation with me, just first search result...
the ps2 is one of the easiest consoles to integrate. you'll need a memory card with free mcboot preinstalled, which in turn will allow you to install ulaunchelf. fcmb memory cards are readily available on auction sites. the 64mb versions often include ulaunchelf as well. you will also need a usb thumb drive formatted to fat32 so the ps2 can access it.
Not sure if you're using a controller, but the mods seem to cause issues with controllers.
The D-Pad on my xbox controller wouldn't work and I could only use the sticks, which gets annoying when navigating menus.
So I downloaded something called Antimicro (https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro), which allows you to map keyboard to controller. The key is to run as administrator, or else it won't work.
Once you've done that, it's good to go.
They added a few little touches and the quality/print is nicer, it’s essentially the same thing in a nicer package. I had no idea it’s worth almost $600 now. Yikes.

It doesn't come out until December. There is a new one that's still Japanese only, called the Plus version
Yeah, a couple.
This one is canon: https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-VII-Way-Smile/dp/1975382358
There's also "The Maiden Who Travels the Planet: Final Fantasy VII" and "Final Fantasy VII: The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story" (this should be canon as well)
IDK where you're based but, it came up on the first link from a google search for me

EDIT: Oh... nvm.. It's in french :(

Wow, I had this book for more than six months.
Why does it takes so long to release in the US?
Obviously much less contents than in the original Japanese Ultimania Omega, but the book is great nonetheless!
