Also this is an amazing book written by a sw on amazon... check it out!
How I Made $10,000 A Month As A... https://www.amazon.com/dp/1976986125?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Amberly Rothfield breaks down how started in the phone sex industry and began making $10,000 a month consistently talking dirty on the phone. Using such websites as Niteflirt, IWantPhone and the famous Clips4Sale, Amberly became one of the top fetish content producers as well as phone sex operators in a matter of just a year with her innovative take on marketing where others in the field were not. While the book does not guarantee success, it is the first of it's kind to offer a blueprint on how to leverage popular websites to create a lucrative work from home business that is not a scam. Detailing not only how to make phone sex sound effects, Amberly talks about how to use adult friendly websites such as Twitter, Tumblr and even Medium.com to create content that will attract new clients to a budding phone sex business. Working independently sound too scary for you? Amberly also discusses how to join in already established phone sex companies. Tips ranging from newbie to experienced dirty talker, Amberly helps perfect those who take this industry seriously. The biggest take away is learning that the phone sex industry has evolved far from it's early 1990s days. Amberly shows how you can develop offline sales and not solely rely on the money from a phone that is ringing. Building sales funnels and applying business principals that few would think could ever apply. No you do not need a four year college degree as it is all laid out in an easy to digest format.
Oh my. That´s just insane to pay something like that! Nobody needs something like that. This isn´t like we are flying to space, or if it is, I´ve missed something. Rather than pay thousands, get this book. Cheaper and better advices. https://www.amazon.com/Thriving-Sex-Work-Heartfelt-Industry-ebook/dp/B071SKH43M
My only advice would be to make sure your exhibition is balanced between the good and the bad. Include pictures of sex workers using the free time the job affords them to care for loved ones or pursue hobbies and using the money to care for children, get out of debt, pay for apartments and transportation. Show how sex workers are treated by police and the criminal justice system and how "respectable" people will refuse to associate with someone if they find out they are a sex worker. If you're just trying to mine the pain of a marginalized population from a position of privilege, your work will contribute to the stigmatization and exploitation of sex workers. Check out this book for starters.
Most of what I depend on has more to do with safety and anonymity than "ease"... But here ya go anyway! :P
1.) Anonymous texting apps: For when I need to contact a client from my personal phone, but I don't want them to know my actual number. They will see a bogus randomized number, but will otherwise be able to text me normally through the app.
2.) Bitcoins: The anonymous ca$h of the internet! If you're close enough to a Bitcoin ATM, you can insert real cash into that ATM and it will give you a virtual "wallet" that stores your Bitcoins for use on the interwebz. Through Bitcoins I have been able to pay for my escorting website and domain name without having ANY trace of my legal billing info. This is has been a GOD SEND!
**Only caveat is that Bitcoin values change rapidly depending on the state of the market. For example: I put $300 USD into a Bitcoin ATM on a Saturday afternoon, and by Sunday evening it was worth $275. Today the value is up 20%, so I guess I earned it all back? Will have to check my "wallet". If you have questions about buying Bitcoins, please message me
3.) A VPN for my computer: This anonymizes my IP address, so that if someone wants to look up the location source of my username or activity on a certain website, they can't trace it directly to my city or (more importantly) to my neighborhood. I use a company called IVPN because they're off-shore and aren't legally bound to share any info with the FBI or CIA.
4.) A fake ID: Maaayyybe this is a little overboard, but when I go to dinner or a bar with clients, I don't want them seeing my real ID with my real name on it. Like, ever. So I got a fake one that still has my photo and stats, but a made-up name and address that I can easily fall back on. Try /r/fakeid for more info
Hope this helps! I might do an edit and add more if something comes to mind :)
I’m not a client or provider but support you guys. I have been in the sugar lifestyle though so the bill could effect me too. Would seem like a good idea to give PIA your business as a VPN provider. Someone should post this on the boards like TER you guys use so everyone can choose Private Internet Access as their VPN. VPNs are great and everyone should use one for privacy. Might as well pick a company that is standing up for your rights and the 1st Amendment in a very public way.
doesn't require any identifying information, and takes payment in bitcoin. They're headquartered in Sweden, so it would be more difficult for the U.S. to force them to spy.
Private Internet Access is based on the US, so easier for the US government to force them to spy (similar to what the Feds tried to force Lavabit to do). However, they're one of the few VPN's whose no logging policy has been tested in court. They also accept bitcoin.
Here's what I recommend:
It's an email service that's end to end encrypted. If you send an email from your Protonmail account to another Protonmail address, no third party will be able to determine the contents of your email. Keep in mind that no encryption is performed if you send/receive an email to/from, say, a Gmail address, etc.
Encryption and decryption happens on the browser, so even though Protonmail stores your inbox/sent emails, it cannot decrypt them.
But if you live in one of the states that did not expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, make sure you report enough income to be above the Federal Poverty Level or no subsidies.
> If your income falls below 100% FPL and your state hasn't expanded Medicaid coverage, you won't qualify for either income-based Medicaid or savings on a Marketplace health insurance plan. You may still qualify for Medicaid under your state's current rules.
State rules for Medicaid vary, but usually if you are low income and single with no children and your state did not expand coverage under the ACA, you won't qualify.
> In order to participate in Medicaid, federal law requires states to cover certain groups of individuals. Low income families, qualified pregnant women and children, and individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are examples of mandatory eligibility groups (PDF 177.87 KB). States have additional options for coverage and may choose to cover other groups, such as individuals receiving home and community based services and children in foster care who are not otherwise eligible.
And furthermore :) I did a bit of googling -- goto metapicz.com and you can view the EXIF data of your pics. Also goto Google Images click on the camera icon to search by pics... See if you've shown up anywhere else...
In theory, you should be able to do this with Bitcoin to avoid the risk of a chargeback.
You sign up for https://coinbase.com/ and link your bank account so you can get the BTC back to fiat (regular) money.
Your client then buys as many Bitcoins with his CC on https://coin.mx/ which should settle instantly. He then sends you the Bitcoin to your Coinbase account which you can convert to fiat.
If you’re using TOR, a VPN should not at all be optional. NordVPN as recommended above is a good one. Seriously, if you’re using tor you need to be using a vpn. You should have the vpn installed and running before you even download tor.
I highly recommend NordVPN. Consistently one of the highest ranked for service, quality and privacy. You can use it across all platforms, and they have thousands of server locations around the world.
Also - everyone interested in using a vpn should read this post: That One Privacy Guy's - Guide to Choosing the Best VPN (for you)
I found this post through a google search about if I can make a niteflirt profile with canva, so I don't know how much help I'll be. When I was on Chaturbate I made my profile on canva, downloaded it to my computer, then uploaded it to imgbb.com, adjusted the dimensions to fit the screen, and copied the html links by choosing html full linked, which I put into the chaturbate bio. So I guess the profile is hosted on imgbb. I'm hoping I can do something similar for niteflirt unless I learn a better way. Maybe that helps you?
I found over 300 places available for under $200 on Airbnb listed in NY. Many allow guests. Why not give this service a try?
Have I been pwned https://haveibeenpwned.com for previous hacks. Unfortunately, the hack is probably too new to have had the data filter its way to the dark net and into security researchers possession.
Depending on who stole it and why, the data could be sold on the black market for identity fraud.
Local law enforcement (thankfully or not) is unlikely to get the data or have the resources to churn through data on 1/12 of the world's population to try and prosecute someone.
The more damaging impact will be powerful people being found and causing a scandal.
For most normal people, the standard advice for after a data breach would apply, change passwords if they were the same, freeze your credit, and since credit card data was leaked, change any card number you used at the hotel chain.
Also not all Marriotts were affected, just former starwood hotels that were acquired by Marriott about a year ago.
In regards to getting a VPN, make sure you get one that advertise that they keep no logs that can identify users. I currently use iVPN, and one of their FAQs explicitly says this.
Here is a really nice spreadsheet comparing VPNs on privacy, speed, country exit locations, and other features made by the dedicated /u/ThatOnePrivacyGuy
Terrifying. I'm sorry that he caused you to have such an scary experience.
As far as I can tell, you handled the situation as best as it could've been handled. However, in retrospect, is there anything that you think you could've done differently to avoid or end the experience early, once it became clear it was too aversive? A "safe word"? Maybe pre-arrange with a friend to come get you if you tap the "escape" button on your phone? Or a emergency alert necklace?
Something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Guardian-Saving-Medical-System-GuardianTM/dp/B08KRPKPZ6/
(Just an example. I have no connection to the company or product.)
I recommend the graphic novel Paying for It by Chester Brown. It’s an interesting autobiographic story of a man who decides to drop the customary way of having romantic relationships and decides to find love through sex workers.
I use NordVPN and I like it. I just pay by the month because sometimes I don't need it and I don't want to commit to a whole year-you get a better deal if you pay by the year though, but it's kind of a big expense upfront.
speaking from the electronic security side - never login on an account on the tablet that you would on your main computer, especially not the big players (facebook, google etc). If you want to go another step into near-paranoia, look into VPN services such as Private Internet Access so you're not even coming from the same IP address as other services - you'll be essentially untraceable.
I use zenmate. Handy for places like dubai where adult sites are blocked. The only country I've toured where it didn't work was China. In China I used tunnelbear. Zenmate hides your ip and also encypts your traffic. It's unlikely anyones sniffing your packets etc anyway but it could happen eg some bored IT guy working for a hotel could do it but zenmate or similar protects you from this.
aha, gotcha! yeah syncthing looks like cool opsec for keeping info in private bubble (i use tails thumbdrive on dedicated notebook with no drive).
but safeoffice.com is offshore commercial business management software that provide escort resources like blacklist and forum. not just office suite like microsoft office or libre office.
either way syncthing look cool but running on a pi probably beyond skillset of most escorts. :3
Please move on from Kik. It is not at all secure. I've worked a lot in IT so I can speak on it with some authority. What you want is an app with end-to-end encryption, so you both are the only ones able to ever read what you're writing.
Signal is the app you want to use, hands-down and bar none. Also if you're open to email (they have an app), you can use ProtonMail which is equally secure. No records, no privacy issues, these are what you need to use.
Be so SO careful with the oil. Oil and latex condoms do NOT mix. The condom can break. Durex sells a 2 in 1 massage gel and lube that I use. It doesn’t stay wet very long for massage but at least I can trust that it won’t break the condom. Please be safe and take care of yourselves! ❤️

I work Streamate and have been a full time cam girl/escort for 4 years. Equipment matters! The better your stream, the better your traffic, visibility, and money.
Ideally you need a laptop or computer with an i5 or i7 processor
Technically no, you don't NEED a fancy cam. But if you want to make money, you should invest in one. The most popular cam for camgirls right now is the Logitech c920, which runs 60-70$ currently.
Invest in a set of umbrella lights. I use these. They're $40 on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004TSCARK/ref=psdc_14014911_t1_B005FHZ2SI
The more time you put into cam and treat it as an actual, real job, the more $$ you will make.
Is this the one you use? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adhoclabs.burner&hl=en_US
How much do you pay per month? Can I use a burner # to join Tinder?
I’m not really sure what you’re looking for from this post. If you don’t want to hire an escort then don’t. If you aren’t looking to become a sex worker or pay one then why spend the mental energy worrying about our jobs? Are you writing a paper on this or something? I’m just missing why this is a point of contention in your life.
If this is something that keeps you up at night I suggest discussing your internalized misogyny and whorephobia with a therapist. Typically people who ruminate on things that have nothing to do with their lives (homophobic conservatives come to mind) have some deep internal conflicts.
Perhaps this book will help you understand sex work a bit better.
I saw Skyn brand condoms come up on these boards for the sensitivity topic. I have no idea, no experience with them myself. However, a quick Amazon search shows very favorable results... out of almost 6,000 ratings they have almost a perfect 5 stars:
https://www.amazon.com/LifeStyles-SKYN-Original-Condoms-24ct/dp/B004TTXA7I
If they're really all that I can't see any excuse not to always seek covered.
Buy one of these:
Go downtown of the nearest major city, and blow at regular intervals. You'll soon be surrounded by more escorts than you know what to do with.
No problem. https://www.amazon.com/Dri-Mark-Counterfeit-Detector-DRI351UVB/dp/B00BCNFR9S - here is one but you can probaby look up UV money pen and find others.
I would recommend you look through similar posts in the r/polyamory community. Jealousy is a subject of great attention for poly folks, because we understand it as something everyone experiences and can learn from. Granted, people don't really use the term "swingers" to mean poly, and many might be offended if you called a poly person a swinger, but it is a very good group for learning more about open relationship dynamics and coping mechanisms.
Other terms you may want to search for if it helps, Consensual non-monogamy (CNM), and ethical non-monogamy (ENM). Similarly, something that helped me and a few friends figure some things out is the book by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy, "The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities". It's not going to have all your answers, but it has been a useful guide for a lot of people.
Best wishes.
I like J-lube powder. One bottle makes 6 gallons of lube.
Mix as much or as little as you need, as follows:
And if you need really large amounts of lube for reasons, it also comes in a 55 gallon drum size
Looks like IG has disabled the reporting function that would notify the profile owner which visitors had taken a screenshot. Another point to raise is that the previous warnings of screenshots were only active during a DM chat/message session that was, by definition, private and confidential. It's been deactivated so this discussion is moot.
https://thenextweb.com/apps/2018/06/15/instagram-screenshot-stories/
It takes work. Changing things around from one email to another, but you may notice, if you ever look at some of the 'high end girld' web sites, many of the girls are using https://protonmail.com/ and for good reason..
An added bonus is certain ppl will recognize your taste and discretion and respect/ appreciate you for it
Your ip or 'internet address' remains the same and Instagram can recognize it.
A VPN ( there are free ones in the app stores) re-routes your internet traffic and fools most websites into thinking you are in another country or city
I reccomend a paid VPN ( my prefference$ NORD., for reasons..)
With a paid subscription ~ $50-75 a year. you can pick which city/country you would like to appear from.
Free is fine, but generally slower speeds ( they want to sell you faster speeds...) and if its 'free' then you are actually the 'product' not the customer
Also, a long this lines. For email, why not try a highly recommended, security conscious one like https://protonmail.com/
They offer free accounts and can be upgraded if you need more storage. But most pop don't need it
Also duck Google and bing. Download duckduckgo search and use it for looking up 'things'
> i have no idea how to file taxes so that's something i'm going to have to figure out lol.
For this year, just make sure you have a list of all the money he pays you (by check or by cash or otherwise) -- and a list of everything you spend to work for him, e.g. a new computer or new web-cam. New clothing and makeup typically will not count, unless it is clothing you could not possibly used for anything else.
Next January, take your records to an Enrolled Agent (a registered tax-preparer) and have him file for you.
> i'm not comfortable giving my SD my address
If you want to do everything online, it sounds like Venmo is your best bet. Works like Paypal, but doesn't try to run your personal life.
Are you never going to meet him in real life? Is virtual sugaring a thing?
use privacy.com to setup a private card account under a pseudo name, then create a non identifying google account and link the card, You can get paid Via google pay, beem or paypal. These two points of seperation should make it harder to find the account owner
I believe the benefits (strong non-reused passwords) outweigh the risk.
I'm a big fan of birwarden. If you're using it daily -- your likely to remember
it. If your truly worried write it down and stick it in a safe place with no context.
You guys should start offering encrypted bookings for tricks. Telegram, Signal, Redphone or Textsecure, these are all free and all offer end to end encryption for voice and chat so the spies can't listen in https://theintercept.com/2015/09/25/gchq-radio-porn-spies-track-web-users-online-identities/
Who knows maybe some Lord or MP will phone you for a date seeing that you're up on privacy protection of clients :P
There definitely is a high demand for what you're describing. I guess you'd start with a fan site like OnlyFans, Fansly, LoyalFans... that's how most people get started. Once you build an audience there, you create a member site on platforms like AdultMemberSites.com, which is similar to having a fan site but it looks more professional and gives you more control over your content, subs, and ways to earn money, I'd say a 100-200 (and growing) active users is enough to move to a member site. And you don't need any technical skills either.
What I notice, especially here on Reddit, if you want to do it, you have to be ready to put in the effort. You need to publish consistently, market yourself on Twitter, Reddit, Snapchat, elsewhere, keep engaging with your subs to keep them active and coming back.
Good luck!
There are several open source mailing list management software programs:
I think for your use case, the best solution would be to use dadamail.net+Amazon SES, and pay a one time fee ($250) to have the developer install it for you:
http://dadamailproject.com/installation/request.html
That way, you can't be booted off, because it will be running on your own server. And no ongoing licensing fees (though you can buy a support contract).
If you have the technical chops, you can also install the software yourself for free. And there's no mailing list quotas in the open source version.
There are online banking apps that make Bitcoin transactions much simpler such as Revolut. You can set alerts to track BTC rates so you can cash out or cash in as required.
This link takes you to the App Store, there’s an iD process but it honestly took under 5 minutes to set up. pm if you want more deets 🤑
You can do it a few ways, you can include on your website that to secure an incall appointment clients must pay a 50% deposit before the session. You can ask them to send $50 deposits if you're not seeing success with obtaining 50%, or you can ask them to go through a lengthy verification process which usually lowers the cancellation rate. I find that with verification they like to follow through because they've shared a bit of the work load in supplying information on their work or recent escorts they've seen that I can contact directly.
Generally though I just take the hit, I tour a lot so I rent a hotel regardless of bookings and my last tour was my first time losing money in three stops. It was super shitty but I more than made up for it in my next 7 stops so it balanced out, I rent hotels for around a $100 Canadian if I can manage because they're comfortable and safe but don't take away from my overall earnings as much.
I tried AirBnb a few times but usually the buzzer is hooked up to the owners phone and one of them stopped in expectedly twice on my couple nights visit so I felt worried about booking too heavily. Hotels.com gives you a free hotel every ten that you book, it takes the average of what you spent on the ten to calculate your free night but that's been very handy for me. Otherwise I've signed up for every rewards program for any hotel booking website or directly that I can, I wrack up rewards pretty quickly.
Sorry to be nit pick, but this isn't quite right:
> The most common test, HerpeSelect, may have a false positive rate of 50%; half of the people who test positive for HSV 2 using this test may actually not have an infection.
False positive means that half the people without the infection who get tested will test positive. That means that her actual probability of having the infection could be much higher or lower than 50%, depending on the base rate of the infection. I have no idea what the base rate is, but the OP said she has low risk behavior and hadn't had an outbreak. The formula that gives her probability of infection is:
Base rate x [probability of testing positive given that she has the infection / (the overall expected of getting a positive result)]
Here is a link to the formula:
The escorts that lurk on this sub will tell you that you have to use your real number and name and to give them photo id and your credit card number, and social...
But no you should not be giving your private personally identifiable information for seeking an escort. Once you get to know a provider and you feel comfortable with her then go ahead.
TextNow is the way to go. https://www.textnow.com/ You can get a local number for texting and I haven't tried it yet but I think you can even use it for making regular voice phone calls.
I used to take calls there (and still have an account). They are totally legit and worth it.
Personally, i prefer doing in person plus longer calls kill my voice but it's nice to have that option open.
I suggest that you read Amberly Rothfield's book to help you get started https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0798H4S5X/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i0
There's a Kindle book from a girl that does massages and it's kind of interesting how the clients view her was more as some errand that's needs attention. If your a prime member I think it's free. https://www.amazon.com/My-Year-Happy-Endings-husbands-ebook/dp/B08VRQCYB9
There are some Japanese soap companies that claim to get rid of it

They're neewer lights with diffusers.
I also have an led strip under my bed for decoration.
You're welcome! Good luck :D :D
I would highly recommend this book if you haven't heard of it already!

I bought my pixel 3 specifically for the camera. Also, a flexible tripod like this makes a big difference.
This all takes practice and experimentation! You'd mentioned you've only been doing this for a year. I started in 2014 and didn't really start to take my selfie game seriously until last year. Still not perfect but I'm much happier with my pics now that I have a better phone.
This actually from Amazon! It was definitely a gamble, especially since I'm not skinny and their size reviews said they ran small. I usually wear a 2X in dresses an I had to get the 5X but it fits! Hurts my neck like hell though cuz all the boob weight is on the halter.
Anyway here's the link. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B078Z6L2B1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_YetBDbCT09VAJ
I'm new to the concept of VPNs. But I heard shared connections will share your data. I just got ProtonVPN. I'm wondering if I should pay for Basic which allows you to use 2 VPN connections and use one for work and one for personal use. Or just use VPN for work and no VPN for personal? But I read being on the same wifi can share data too. I'm not totally sure how to effectively utilize VPNs :(
Can anyone advise me?
That's horrible !! I'm glad you can understand now and not fall for these tricks. Don't feel bad for being naive since you were new. It's their fault for trying to manipulate people when there's like you said SO MUCH FREE CONTENT OUT THERE. And for anyone reading who's using Amazon for payment .. Have them gift you the money through and ecard on Amazon like this one : https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Amazon-com-eGift-Cards/dp/BT00DC6QU4
Or have them give you an allowance on Amazon though a gift card is usually better and faster.
Also this is a good way to go about if you are worried about issues with government given disability. :*
I have a local bookstore that had it in stock.
Here’s an Amazon link. If the issue is that you’re in another country, I’m not sure where you can find it.
Yeah VPNs will definitely throttle your speeds regardless. Especially depending on the VPN you're using. You might want to google VPNs that prioritize speed. From what I've heard, there's some pretty quick ones out there. I'm currently using NordVPN and I get throttled hard, but I think that's more because of my shitty Comcast router.
As a Network Administrator, consider getting a VPN* that has a server in Toronto. It's easy to run reports identifying where IP addresses are coming from and correlating them to specific users. If they're serious about keeping out U.S. based, they will run such reports.
*I use Torguard and my only financial connection is I pay them. They also have a server based in Toronto.
Try phone based apps like peeks or cake as this is more on the DL then a computer based cam setup.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tangerine.live.cake&hl=en_US
If your Chaturbate account has OBS Streaming enabled, you could use the settings from that to use this application to stream directly to chaturbate (and/or other video services): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobzapp.screenstream
It's not exactly straight-forward, but it can be done.
Yes. Usually Ill call down to the hotel and ask but you can also get them on amazon w/ toothpaste in them for cheap. https://www.amazon.com/ECO-Amenities-Disposable-Toothbrush-Individually/dp/B015YWJBJO/ref=sr_1_6_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1534438893&sr=8-6&keywords=disposable+toothbrush+with+toothpaste
Male client here. Agree with Remy.
Of course, getting over someone is easier said than done. I recommend "A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy" by William B. Irvine for some ideas on how to deal with unpleasant facts of life in a productive way.
You might also find cognitive behavior therapy helpful for stopping obsessive thoughts.
Fucking gift form GOD!! They have no scent, and feel just like your natural lady lube. All my clients always comment on how wet I get . It's my secret sauce. Bonus points- it regulates your Ph and prevents yeast infections etc.
Take cranberry pills every day. This will help prevent UTIs and keeps you smelling fresh
I use softcups during my period. Works like a charm and never leaks. Some clients can feel it so I make sure I tell them I have a "nuvo ring" in and to be careful. Other providers use sea sponges or makeup sponges.
I just happened to be going through a list of books for a project, and I was reminded of Buddha and the Borderline-- it's a great book written by someone with BPD-- it helps you to understand where they're coming from: https://www.amazon.com/Buddha-Borderline-Recovery-Personality-Dialectical/dp/157224710X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1473873387&sr=1-1&keywords=buddha+and+the+borderline
>it didn't strike me as mostly that, either.
Have you thought about doing incalls in your own apartment, but getting your apartment on a shorter term lease and moving to diff areas in the complex every few months? You may be able to request a diff apartment unit on the same lease.
My only tip is don't actually give guys the directions/address to your place, tell them a local landmark nearby then guide them into your place. Like "Are you at Walgreens? Great make a left out of there and head into the second neighborhood you see. Okay now go all the way down the street and take a right, then 3rd building." Then you walk out to greet him, feel him up for weapons, and guide him into your apartment, that has your door open already.
Like you can do incalls easily from where you live, just guide the guys in and out instead of giving them your address. Surprisingly enough it's very effective. They could figure it out on their own but most won't. Especially when it's dark out and signs are hard to read.
Oh, btw get deadbolts installed and this door jammer
You might want to read Sex at the Margins by Laura María Agustín (I mention this a lot). It doesn't focus on the US, but it takes another perspective of sex trafficking. As I (roughly) remember it, there are a number of women who say they have crossed a country's border to do sex work, and the person or organization who helped them cross withholds their passport until they make X amount of money, which is not what they agreed on. This is coercive, but the women in the book have more agency and freedom than the US media would have you believe, IE they knew they would be doing sex work, they still make money to send home to their families, and they are still able to go home if they want to leave the situation. These women identify as migrant workers, not "trafficking victims". I definitely recommend reading the book, however Laura María Agustín's blog also has lots of additional ideas and information.
I try to stick to indies, as regulars; in the event that they tell me their real identity (which happens more often that I would have expected), I am both flattered and burdened. Sadly, no matter what your vocation or avocation, privacy is difficult to retain.
I used to use Astroglide. It's quite sweet, but very sticky when it starts drying, and I had one too many accidents where the cap wasn't tight enough and it spilled all over the contents in my purse.
I strictly only use water-based lube Lulu (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q5M2FK0) or Hello Sailor (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O4KQTQG); it's the same company and formula, just different packaging. It's roughly $25 on Amazon, but it's 16 oz. and it lasts me months. Bonus points for having no flavor whatsoever and safe for toy use.
I've used some of the flavored Wet lubes, but they sting my ladybits like crazy! Same experience with some of Sliquid's flavored products as well-- I think I've given up on any lubes that are marketed as flavored... it's not worth the burn. :(
If you're interested, Temporarily Yours by Elizabeth Bernstein goes into a lot of detail about sex work in San Francisco. Prostitution laws have a lot to do with urban geography and gentrification. She did research in the 90's with street based sex workers, who were the target of policing. She sat in on a "john school", where the coordinators told the johns to go online to find sex workers, not on the streets. There is also a chapter on more recent (2004 I believe) middle class sex workers in the bay area.
