I did exactly this with an UpLift just about a month ago. u/lavransson captured the essentials of what you'll need. And also that it's not as easy as it sounds, at least for beginners. Here are a few tips I'll add to that excellent reply:
Good luck!
My recommendation is the same as u/dontautotuneme.
I have a $230 TOPSKY dual-motor Frame (Amazon) recommended by some Redditors, and on top of it is a cheap $69 Ikea SÄLJAN countertop. I have a dual monitor and my pc on top and still have plenty of room.
There are two extremely minor dings in the side of the tale top, but I cleaned them up so they're not noticeable. Definitely worth saving $175. Monitor/etc was provided by my work, and for now I'm using my foam bathroom mat to stand on (lol).

I have everything tied to the underside of my desk secured using a bunch of these mounted cable ties and then I have this sleeve wrapping everything that goes to my system (which is on a side table for weight and space reasons). So no cables hang down for my feet to hit when it’s up or down
I bought this. Nothing fancy, it does the job, easy to mount. As the first review suggested, I mounted it a little farther back cause the "soft close" function was annoying as it never really closed. Kinda like a soft stop....and then you push it in further and it'll actually close.
I did two walnut butcher block tops and used Osmo Polyx: https://www.amazon.com/OSMO-Polyx-Hard-Wax-25-3/dp/B003RDW1UY
I followed these directions, and the process was super easy: https://www.follen.com/osmo-polyx-for-walnut
I'm not a wood expert, but it looks like acacia and walnut have some relevant similarities in that they're both hard woods, and walnut is semi-ring porous while acacia is ring porous, so it seems like the same process should work for acacia.
Given that it's already stained, I would be careful with sanding because you don't want to remove the stain. Whatever you do, start with the side you plan on being the underside first.
Polyx is pricey, but I went with it for a few reasons. First, I HATE getting brush strokes on wood and I'm not practiced enough to ensure that I would avoid them, so the wipe on was a huge sell. Second, since it's a hard wax instead of a poly, the repair process it a lot simpler. If it ever gets worn down, you just rub some more over the worn area and it blends into the rest of the top. Third, I emailed the Osmo people to see if they had any local distributors nearby. There was a flooring company 10 minutes from my house that carried it at half the cost of Amazon, so that made it a lot easier decision.
I’ve got two headphone hangers under there. One is this KiaoTime Headphone Hanger Holder... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZCWZ1Y1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share, which honestly isn’t great. And this which is solid as a rock. Brainwavz Truss - The All Metal... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0192P8U5U?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
What about this? It's a lot cheaper. Maybe it's garbage but it has good reviews. I'm still waiting on my walmart frame to come then I have to get a tabletop, but I'd like to get an idea of what else I'm spending on.
I have my tower on a cart next to my desk and got this sweet hub clamped onto the back of my desk. Nice and clean and accessible: ORICO USB 3.0 HUB, Monitor-Edge and Desk-Edge USB 3.0 4-Port Clip-Type Hub, Extra Power Supply Port, Space-Saving, Compact USB 3.0 Clamp Hub, Ultra-Portable Travel Hub for Laptop https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QXB4BWS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_8F4EKGBA0KB26KK6SKXC
I have most of the same questions. I was looking at the Zenith 30" T frame, with a 60" x 30" laminate top. I will only be mounting 2 x 21" monitors with two of these: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4.
Monitor mount for the 49” is the ErgoTron HX and the mount for the top 24” monitor is “WALI Extra Tall“ mount. You can find it here: https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Single-Monitor-Adjustable-Capacity/dp/B01IWOCCOW
Certain models will definitely fit. I assume the Uplift model may even fit as well. The foot print is very small. The reason I believe they don't bundle them with the tabletop size that small is because it "could" get in your way since there is less leg room. I assume you wouldn't have issues if you put it as close to the leg frame as possible.
I'm unsure how much your PC weighs, but you can save some money getting from Amazon. I just got my Uplift desk setup this weekend and I got this CPU Holder from Amazon for half the price. Holds up to 22 pounds. I was only using mine for my UPS unit so it worked perfectly. There are other cheaper options on Amazon that are still less than the Uplift holders.
I have the holder linked below and it definitely has better airflow than when it was on the ground. It's worked fine for me. There's clearance on all 6 sides for airflow.

In September I had an outstanding experience with Progressive Desk. Bought a large L shape desk. I haven’t written the review yet, but it’s amazing quality. It works with A LOT of weight. I have an aquarium on the thing and it adjusts with no issues. Here’s a photo
I've been using this throughout all of quarantine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MHVXHT7/
it's now only $230, which is $50 less than what I paid. Works great so far, it's not super heavy so it can wobble if you get aggressive with it. I got the dark walnut color, which actually looks great in person. I use the standing feature every week multiple times a day for work, so far so good.
If you’re just wanting to knock down the sharp edge, you can run a pad sander along all the edges to soften it. There are also 1/8” and 1/4” round sanding blocks that you can use manually to get a more uniform finish if you wish. Check out these on Amazon for example: POWERTEC 71584 Angled Contour Sanding Pad and Grips for Inside Curves and Corner Sanding – 5 Piece Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NVVFLSP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_3ZK96C8FBKV2A9CCBB0C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I tend to lean and grab onto the table as well and I haven't noticed any rocking. I'm 6 foot and 170 pounds so I tend try and not put a ton of weight on the table just as a precaution. Here's the link to the dual monitor mount I use that I highly recommend:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T5SY43L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As for pricing, I got the Classic SmartCore with Matte Black top and gray legs for $399 USD on sale. CAD tends to be more expensive so can't really relate since I'm in the US. However, I would pay full price for one of these desks simply because I think they're that good.
Thank you for the suggestion. I ended up going with these casters:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0894RKS3G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They raise the desk about 1 3/4" which I'm OK with (but others may not like). Non-issue in the standing position.
Due to how the screw mounts on the desk are inset (not flush with the floor), the locking mechanism doesn't really work. I installed in the unlocked position and since I'm on carpet, it works fine.
Thanks to irvmtb for the response / suggestions on this. I wanted to follow up in case anyone else has this question in the future.
I have a fairly cheap combo monitor and laptop arm. Both the clamp and the grommet adapters have some decent padding coverage on the top sides.
I was using the standard clamp when I first installed it and then moved it to one of the desk's grommets. After moving from the clamp to the grommet adapter, I didn't notice any marks on the top of the desk. I am pretty sure I have removed the arm from the grommet once and I don't remember seeing any marks that would have resulted from the arm being in contact with the desk.
My desktop is carbonized bamboo which, though I love the way it looks, seems to be a relatively soft wood.
I mounted it on the left underside, put my raising controller on the right, and also mounted a UPS backup on the right using this smaller guy: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B084RMHT65
There would have been room for the raising controller on either side though, if that's why you ask -- I'd just screw in the controller first to make things easy.
If you do not feel comfortable making your own, buy some monitor mount reinforcing plates like:
HUANUO Steel Monitor Mount Reinforcement Plate for Thin, Glass and Other Fragile Tabletop, Steel Bracket Plate Fits Most Monitor Stand C Clamp Installation
What do you think of something like this?
It's only $300, dual motors, presets etc. Seems like a great deal to me, but I'm tempted by the bigger brands like Fully and Uplift as well.

I got this frame 2 years ago. Very happy with it. My friend just bought this two weeks ago for $245. Price jumps up and down every few days with $coupons, $299 seems like the highest for the 3tier one
I went with these because all 4 casters have a brake that helps keep it from moving or having any noticeable wobble during use. I would have LOVED to have found white ones to match my frame but couldn't find any.
I've thought about getting one like this that has both I haven't done it though so I can't speak to how decent it is.
Definitely, mine certainly was. I actually had it have most of the weight to make sure the desk wouldn’t shift too much while screwing it in.
I went with Vivo; I’ll be redoing my setup in 2-3 years so didn’t want to spend too much, so settled for one of their lower models. So far (~1 year) very pleased with it.

how ugly would a laptop have to be to be needed out of sight :O a vertical laptop stand is best behind your monitor because of heat issues...
If you really must, you just need a tray you can screw into the bottom of the table with a mesh... like thishttps://www.amazon.com/Safco-Products-3244BL-Mountable-Hanging/dp/B01H6VCVV6
should bolt it to the back right corner tho, the table is already pretty thick to have something else bothering your legs
I went with this one. It's like the vivo one, but is on a sliding track and has 360 degree swivel. I haven't mounted it yet, but it's built pretty well.
I have one that is similar, but not that expensive. It's held up great so far. Not sure if it is available in Amazon UK, but I'd recommend this one with my experience so far.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DWSKLMY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Could you use a product like this? It seems flexible enough to conform to any contoured desk edge on the market, but is only 1 cm/0.4 in thick. Another one extends a bit deeper across the desk surface, but as a result might be more difficult to conform to the tightest desk edge curves.
This appears to be like the one I got from Vivo on Amazon, except way cheaper. It's pretty sturdy desk.
I did decide ultimately to use it not as an L shape. I couldn't find a table top that would work for me give the dimensions I needed to fit a corner. I had to buy a new controller box from Vivo for around 30 bucks, but can convert back in the future.
Anti fatigue mats are boring to stand on.
I agonized over whether to try some fancy expensive balance board and settled on this: FEZIBO Standing Desk Mat with Anti Fatigue Bar, Wooden Wobble Balance Board with Ergonomic Design Comfort Floor Mat (Medium, Obsidian Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0831N61G3/
It’s amazing and I am SO happy with it. It feels like the standing equivalent of a rocking chair, which probably doesn’t sound appealing, but it’s the best. You can rock back and forth or stand still but it just makes standing for hours at a time less boring and more engaging.
The clamps on the tray didn't align with some cutouts in the base so I sent it back. It also occurred to me that I didn't really need a tray at all. Instead, I used 3M Dual Lock Fasteners to attach my surge protectors underneath the desk and velcro ties to tie the cables together. It doesn't look great but it's out of sight, which was my primary objective.
I could have made it look better by following the instructions of another Redditor who wrote, "Take a 3m velcro command strip and instead of using two, just use one. Stick it on a surface you want to hold a cable. Then just use the velcro ties to attach cable to the command strip you just placed." I was tired of waiting, though, so I just worked with what I had.
Here's a link the the Dual Lock, although it might be on a bit too securely. I'll have to see when it's time to remove my surge protectors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QNMBB28/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Good luck!

Big enough to keep laptop chargers in.
For the accessories you listed I would buy elsewhere vs bundling with your desk order. There are a ton of great monitor mounts available online. I am using an amazon basic mount with my 34' UW on my Fully. I did order the desk mounted surge protector and cable management stuff with my desk. While its really cool its nothing super special vs what you can find online. That desk lamp looks super similar to alot of other lamps and I don't think its worth the premium. Here is a desk lamp I bought my son for his desk. Its not the exact same but its $20ish bucks vs $120.

yes, you’d need to supply your own desktop, but if you’re not afraid of a little DIY, this is a great way to go.
Oh those are quite the units. The fully shoud have no problem. My only concern would be the tray bowing under its own weight if only being attacked to the desk on the ends like say with something like this.

I got them from Amazon. If you get these you'll need a washer to stop the bolt head going through the slot, or if you find a large head version with the same thread you should be ok.
You know what, I don't know where it is anymore. IIRC it was decent enough. If I bring checked luggage I have something similar to this now: https://www.amazon.com/TRIPODSY-Portable-Standing-Adjustable-Workstation/dp/B09PBK55DJ/ way more versatile.

Pretty sure the solo ryzer is just the exact same model as the motiongrey's.
If you are ok with that quality, you could just buy from them. They are cheaper.
Sorry, can't help with Ergotron parts. Do you have to extend the XL? Can you just get another monitor arm? This one on amz handles my 34" monitor with zero wobble.

I got the Bifanuo 2 in 1 folding treadmill. I got it off Amazon for a little over $300 but I just checked it doesn't seem to be available any longer which is odd I brought it less than a month ago. The below link is to a similar one like mine I'd go with a reasonable price with good reviews. Again the one I got allows you to raise up the console and give you access to all the buttons. Or completely lower it and you can use a remote to control the treadmill with a max speed of 6.5mph and several built in workout programs. Regardless it doesn't get in the way of the desk, allows you to walk and work/game at the same time.

I have a 72x30 dark bamboo top and I have two Ergear monitor arms for my dual monitor setup. They are single monitor arms. I chose this because I don’t want to see any gaps between my monitors so these arms allow me to push the two monitors together.
I would recommend putting something in between the clamps especially at the top because depending on how heavy your monitor is it may put a divot on your surface. I put a felt coaster in between the clamp and clamped the monitor down and it’s worked well. Without them you’ll damage the bamboo top for sure.
I switched from a multiple monitor arm to 4 single arms. Way more flexibility and the cost was only slightly more than a good quality multi-arm.
I now own 3x WALI Heavy Duty (3x Samsung 34 wide screen monitors) and 1x MountUp that I use for a laptop stand. I tried and returned 2 different ergotron models, and 1 amazon basics model.

I'm really happy with it. It handles the butcher block top, monitor, gaming PC, + pressure from my arms with no problem. AI desk isn't sketchy, just buggy https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jiecang.app.android.aidesks&hl=en_US&gl=US Ok, is a chinese owned app that does has functionality to do sideloading of app updates (i.e. skip the app store) so big red flag from a security perspective. Buggy in that the back arrow at the top is sometimes how you go back, sometimes it does nothing and you use the function along the bottom. Isn't consistent with its display of inches vs cm. The standing vs sitting tracking doesn't seem to recognize when I'm standing. Glad I don't actually need to use the app to do anything. The alerts and timers menu doesn't seem to be on the programable controller or at least I can't find this functionality. (No manual to look at) The app should be able to do this, but its too buggy for this functionality to work
There are no such arms that prevent wobble on a standing desk. Especially with a desk with 2 legs. You can mitigate the wobbling but you can never prevent it from happening. I use an Ergear monitor mount/arm and it mitigates a lot of movement or wobble. I use two monitors, a 29” Ultrawide horizontally as the main and a 24” regular monitor on the right vertically with these arms and it barely wobbles/shakes. This mount does not actually have an arm portion that extends out so there is hardly any movement. If you get an arm that pivots then you’ll get a lot of wobbling.
I just replace my 55x24” manual crank s/s desk that I bought from Amazon a year ago with a brand new 72x30” Fully Jarvis in dark bamboo, 3 staged legs, and programmable handset. I took the Vivo keyboard trayVivo keyboard tray from my old desk and applied it to the new desk. I love my keyboard tray because it’s a clamp on so you don’t need to drill holes in your desk AND it’s pretty solid.
Having a keyboard tray is nice. You can slide it underneath your desk to push it out the way. It’s not necessary if you have a deep enough desk however, if your desk is only 24” or smaller all the space on top of your desk is essential. I have 3 computers and my setup is mainly used for work as I work from home full-time. The keyboard tray is big enough to house a MX Keys keyboard and MX Master 3 mouse with tons of room left over. Also, if you want to know the size, it’s about the same size as the Grovemade medium sized desk pad. The medium size pad is a tiny bit bigger than the tray but it fits nicely. I know because I’m using one on the keyboard tray.
I am in chat sales so when there’s no customers I sit in front of my computer watching YouTube videos or multitasking. I work real hard! So having a keyboard tray allows me to put my iPad Pro or my MBA in front of me, above the tray, and it works perfectly. I’ve been using it for almost 2yrs now and I still love it because when I’m done with it I can side it under the desk and put the way.
I hope this helps give you a general idea.
I too just purchased a Jarvis 72x30” dark bamboo desk with 3 staged legs and programmable handset. I use two single monitor arms for my dual monitor setup from Ergear. I chose this option because I have 2 monitors. 1 29” Ultrawide and one 24” regular monitor in vertical orientation. My ocd is bad so I can’t have any gaps between the two monitors. My monitors bezels are touching with no gap and sits center of my desk. The monitor arms barely sticks out bc it’s just a single pole with a vesa mount adapter which is perfect bc other articulating arms would force me to move my desk out from the wall a good bit and space is limited for me. The monitor arm kit comes with both the clamp options and the grommet option but depending on your desktop size the grommet holes may be too far apart for you to mount it in with the grommet hole. Because my desktop is so large the grommet holes are at the corners and pretty much useless for cable management. I have both grommet holes covered by power grommets and I barely use them. If you had a smaller desk like a 42”x30” desktop then the grommet holes are useful for cable management but anything bigger is useless. My cables are all drooping down right behind the monitor arms and it’s not that bad.
I hope this helps. I did post a photo of my setup if you want to have a look in my profile.
I just bought a Fully Jarvis s/s desk that’s 72x30”’s in the dark bamboo color and 3 stage legs.
Depending on what size of a desk you get the grommet holes may not work well for you. The Jarvis doesn’t have options of not having any grommet holes. Trust me, i asked and was told they dont make any Jarvis’s without grommet holes if you’re trying to get the top of the line dark bamboo.
Uplift is the only company that puts the grommets towards the middle of the tabletop but the Jarvis has the grommet holes probably 6”’s from the top left and right edge and 2.5”’s from front to back. I have a 2 monitor setup and the monitors are at the center of my desk so the grommet holes are useless to me because it would look ugly at if I threaded my monitor cables down through the grommet holes. There’s too much space and I rather just hang it off the back of the desk. I used one grommet hole as power grommet. Don’t buy it from fully. You can get the 2 usb and 2 regular plugs for about $20 which is pretty cheap but they work. link to the one I bought off Amazon.
To be honest, Jarvis’s are great but the grommet hole are a useless pita.
This is one base that I was looking at. I want to get a dual motor desk that isn't cheap. But I am fine doing it by myself I just want to make sure that I can find a base that fits what I want. I am also quite tall so I need it to go high and be stable at that height.
Sharing because I had so much trouble finding any other people who had successfully installed a tray to this desk. I bought a few tray options but ultimately the one I link below from Amazon worked best with the horizontal bar. My boyfriend did the actual installation and troubleshooting (best boyfriend ever) but it attaches to the drawer and he added nuts and washers to keep it more safely installed. The drawer is still usable but you do see the screws poking through.

I also found this frame on amazon since I will be needing a heavier frame that can handle a lot of weight. Since it doesn't go high enough I can add extensions I believe.
It’s fine pal! Thanks for sharing. You’re right! The privacy screen makes a huge difference. I am finally able to cable manage everything using the Vivo privacy screen cm. That is also what I used except for mine, you don’t need to drill holes because it came with a clamp. It’s a life saver. I have so many large cables that it would’ve been next to impossible to cable manage using clips and velcro straps.
Thanks again for sharing.
If you're talking about front to back wobble, nothing will have any effect except placing on a hard floor instead of carpet. If it's left to right/side to side wobble, then one of the might help - https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Universal-Stabilizer-Bracket-DESK-STB01B/dp/B07NP4WN68
Other than that, you just have to buy something more stable.
I just got my Fully Jarvis desk and the included basic mat from Fully. I already had this one from Amazon. The Amazon one is larger and much more comfortable. And reasonably priced. I highly recommend this one

Yeah I'm hoping the scratches are just cosmetic damage and not indicative of a functional issue over the long-term. I'll reach out and see what they say. I've had it for about two weeks myself and have scratches everywhere, including some that look sorta deep. I'm using it on this mat: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNNGXNK/
Good point on the challenge cap, I think a protective cap would be a good call if this is normal. I'll keep you updated on what fluidstance says regarding my scratching and whether it's normal.
i just bought a mat ( i haven't used a mat before ) and its perfect for non shoe standing. I thought it would be way less soft but its at perfect softness for me. I also use it at home so i dont wear shoes inside anyway.
