"hey mom did you take that 25 dollars I owe you"
"okay what if i bought a new skillet to replace the really old 12" one i bought where the teflon is all worn off that you keep using all the time and then we're even"
and that's the story of how i bought the 12" skillet and didn't feel like i spent too much
ok give me your opinions on this jacket
we like the tan or the brown more?
Random stumble upon this book on amazon
I'm so tempted.
I am going to smoke some baby backs tomorrow. I've never dry brined ribs but I'm going to hit them with some kosher salt and let them sit in the fridge overnight. Then I'll hit it with some Holy Voodoo before tossing on the kettle. I know a lot of people say 3-2-1 and a lot of people say that's overkill. So I may do 2-2-1. Or 3-1-1. Sauce them with stubbs spicy in the last hour
My plantar fasciitis has gotten so bad that I'm sleeping with a boot on my foot now. Well, trying to sleep. It is basically this and it prevents the foot from plantarflexion because that shortens the calves and Achilles. I need to stretch those things out so this night splint helps to stretch them. It takes some getting used to to sleep in it.
people in game lobbies always ask me what mic I use and I need a quick way to say
this and this over voice
Ok, final round. Got rid of the 3rd shirt as it is too boring. Second shirt was replaced I'll be out of town this weekend.
We're keeping the first one. (flamingoes)
My apartment has this forum that people can sell items and there are some good deals when people are moving. But because it is Manhattan, some people have really luxurious items that I can't afford even when it is a fraction of the price.
For example, the Simplehuman trashcan is well over $100 and has really good reviews. Maybe someday, I will be able to spend that much on a trashcan not feel guilty.
Honestly that's nice enough. Then tail her home one day so you can get her address and send her these
only good deal i found was chemical guys microfiber cloths for auto detailing but i already own these.
Got the old man this to try. He seems excited about it. Also got some whisky tasting book in a bundle
Gotta get one of these sumbitches and have it do all the hard work for you at the same time.
(Disclaimer: My girlfriend's aunt owns one and uses it solely as a novelty when she entertains. She says it's otherwise pretty horrible.)
I think I'm going to end up ordering the Anvil 5.5 gallon brew kettle and then buy this stainless steel filter basket to go with it. Brew in a bag has been nice but I feel this basket might work better and be easier to work with.
Then get a 3-gallon carboy and I'll be set!
Glad I talked to u/keanexs about headphones cuz something screwy just happened with amazon.
So I bought these yesterday. Yesterday, they were $200. I knew the original Opus were bluetooth 4.2, but they had just come out with new one's that were 5.0, so I just figured these were them since they are $200 on their website. However, as you can see today, huge price drop.
Also, there is a link there to the "new model" which are these which you can see actually say Bluetooth 5.0. They're also on sale for $160. But if you change to the midnight blue variation, it goes back to bluetooth 4.2, but $170.
needless to say, I cancelled my old order and reordered the new ones. I don't like that something I bought had a price drop of $70 the next day.
MushroomMan89, Colorized, 2021
I just saw an ad for this inflatable pool tank. I need two of them ASAP. $200 is a bit steep but I'm about to send to my wife to see if she's down or gonna be a debbie downer.
Obviously, talk to an advisor before doing it, but first-time homebuyers can take up to $10k out of a 401k or IRA.
You can also get down payment assistance programs, but those come with a higher interest rate. The Federal Housing Administration has programs, as does the Dept. of Agriculture. USDA loans are only for rural areas but I was kind of surprised at their definition of “rural”.
We’re married but we are part of a Mortgage Credit Certificate program that gives you up to $2k of your interest back even if you don’t itemize.
That part really depends on what your landlord is or isn't cool with. Last place I lived in I installed a Luxe neo 120 but your mileage may vary. If you can't get anything installed on your rental's toilet, there are also travel bidets you can use instead.
oh shit I found this at my Trader Joe's and just bought it hoping for the best but expecting the worst... didn't realize it was straight up dried ghost peppers in there.
I am in love!
Big ass battery that can keep a laptop charged, the odd device from indoors running while you're on a field or court?
This actually solves one of my biggest problems when I travel.
Make sure you have this blanket
They do seem wasteful but at the same time I think I'd prefer them over something like this
Basketball shorts while at home.
These shorts all day every day if going somewhere. I own these in just about every color I like lol They're literally called the perfect shorts so you can't beat that.
Got one of these?
After having COVID (which I know isn't the same) and fully losing my sense of smell, my ENT medical assistant ladyfriend recommend I "recalibrate my sense of smell" by sniffing specific strong essential oils a couple times a day. I got a cheap kit on Amazon and I think it had a pronounced effect of helping me pick out and identify smells better. Because I really struggled at the beginning. (I had what I called "Boolean smell": something here smells but I can't tell what)
give this a try it works really well for me
i was trying to play pokemon snap the other day and my pink/red joycon from my v2 switch apparently has a battery life of like 10 minutes these days.
when I just switched to the pro controller, I noticed major drift. FML why are these controllers all failing on me.
for reference, my launch switch's left joycon has been sent in for repair twice already too. I think it's still fine but i basically never use the joycon anymore (I use this when handheld)
Does the puzzle take up the entire tabletop?
Could you use standoffs like these little guys or even something like this to keep it close.
here ya go
I was thinking of buy this and refilling my own squeeze bottle, but it's actually way cheaper to buy the glass bottles. damn amazon mark up
This is one of the best air coolers on the market. One thing to note is in shorter workloads there's no real difference between a high end air cooler and water cooler. Where all in one water coolers get a real advantage is in heat soak. It takes a lot longer for an aio to reach their max heat capacity than it does an air cooler and that's due to the larger size and also the liquid.
I have this one saved for when I need to upgrade and have a "real" home office. Looks super nice.
You could get at least 929 lbs of name brand peanuts with that money instead.
I own a pair of these and love them
The legging and shorts are connected and the legging part breathes really well. The shorts are ultra thin, like you wouldn't ever wear them by themselves, so you barely notice them
Oh, honey, I am already taking electrolyte supplements. I found that my body does better when I do take them. I was getting cramping a lot when working out. Started taking electrolytes and it is better.
I'm taking these
I'm always looking to help a homie out so here's a groupon
Would you recommend something like this, an adapter with built-in breaker?
Go watch the Marvel:Legends 8m video on Loki to get a super condensed highlight reel.
The one on the Tesserect wouldn't be a bad idea either (as this video ends right as Loki picks up).
Me: not wanting to give that Lex Luthor fuck any more money
This shirt: exists
Yeah they're not for everyone. If you know someone looking for a cheaper alternative to the g915 there's this motospeed one I found a while back.
Go in character.
Walk up in your bathrobe, boxers, wife beater and carrying a bowl of ice cream
Re-playing Majoras Mask on N64 and shoutout to my brother for this awesome bday gift.
An N64 controller actually meant to be held by human hands.
Her wiki page doesn't even cover half the shit she's done. She has a prolific social media presence, made a music video about how girls are bad ass, and also wrote a book. And not like ghost written produced a book - she wrote it. She's been to the X games (and won), and has done other various international skateboarding comps.
She's fucking 14. lol
Dude get some Coke and splash in some of this shit next time you go to the grocery store, you will not regret it
Just got this controller and it's great. The rumble feedback is very strong though.
/u/keanexs I've ordered this to extend my wifi coverage, and may order this to get AirPlay capabilities in my garage.
Got to use something like this
What was Nintendo thinking with that controller? They think gamers have three arms and hands or something?
It’s been great, we’ve had it maybe 5 years and have gotten thousands of hours out of it
MOON STILL GLAD! CLOSER TO NORMALCY AND OUT OF THIS CHAOS
MOON THANK SHROOM!
MOON EAT SOME NOODLES. MOON FAVORITE!
Indomie Mi Goreng Instant Stir Fry Noodles, Halal Certified, Original Flavor (Pack of 30), 90 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HXIXWKM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_R0Y1613ETBR01R38PEQK
Thanks! That is a hefty volume.
I'll read it when I'm finished with this which I'm dipping in and out of in between lighter reads.
Tbh I didn't finish it but it's a wonderful work on the most destructive war before 1914
Yeah, I switched out the 2nd one for this.
It wasn't the most ingenious idea I've had since it's advertised by the hot honey company but it was really good.
Much like eating the honey by itself or on something neutral like a chicken nugget, the spice is mostly in the "finish", with a little lingering heat around when you swallow the food, rather than setting your mouth on fire right away.
> Why don't I own one yet?
Chud, I know I seem smart, but there's no way for me to know this.
I got this one
ok what about this
Slimmer fit and no zipper
My plan is to get the Amazon knockoff of the Le Creuset and never see the original so I don't know better. It's the top item on my wish list (Lady Bomb pls).
I really like gas spring ones since they're super easy to adjust.
This one is only $20 used: https://www.amazon.com/North-Bayou-Monitor-Computer-14-3lbs/dp/B01AI2YGK4/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=desk+mount&qid=1621885591&sr=8-8
edit: oh, this is the same one I have, lol
at what point am I supposed to stop fiddling with KWGT
now the battery indicator that shows when you're charging or low has a toggle to show battery percentage all the time; "50 percent remaining" if there'd normally not be anything, or the usual alert plus "(50%)"
If you're worried about it, you can get some medical adhesive to keep your mask on your face. Cause they'll ask you to move the straps for trimming around your ears and whatnot.
Put this on your counters
Look up gratitude exercises. Think of 10 things every day you’re grateful for. Good coffee, easy traffic, good family. Eventually you’ll need to get creative so you’re not thankful for the same things over and over.
This is a book I bought and used in conjunction with therapy (it was prescribed by my therapist): https://www.amazon.com/Get-Your-Mind-Into-Life/dp/1572244259/ref=asc_df_1572244259_nodl/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312039018893&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9576484959783787185&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&a...
You forgot that you were going to buy this
We bought this couch and I like it. The back cushions are really soft and the seats are hella firm. Took about 15 minutes to set up.
My parents used to have a beast of a fan kind of like these floor fans and that fan + basement temps = best sleep of my life
I have a friend who is a master cicerone and let me borrow all his gear to see if I "actually" would like to do it.
If I do I'll end up getting this instead of a glass carboy and a six gallon stock pot as the thing I'm using today hardly fits on my stove.
Like chase said, Stacy is one. They're usually in the deli section of the stores around here. I like new York style more than Stacy's though. They used to come in a green heavy paper bag thing, looks like they changed the look, hopefully not the taste though
Under $300. Will make gorgeous minis with very little tinkering (with a little learning on how 3d printing, especially resin work).
That's the machine that I own. There's a leveling method that I used once (developed by a guy named Flint Read, and the method was named after him), which got it perfect.
I use monocure rapid resin (gray). A liter would make a dozens of minis, from my recollection.
I can't recall a quality ~$250-$350 IPS 1440/144 that didn't cover 100% sRGB. Here ya go, once calibrated less than 1 color dE.
I accidentally ordered these thinking they were Nikes. I assumed with the big AIR on the side that they were
I saw the picture and thought damn they aren't bad nikes for $35 so I ordered them. I should've read the description lol. I use them around the house and they're honestly pretty comfortable.
Also I have the usb wifi adapter and have been happy with it
I don't think there is an "easy way," but I'm about at the hire someone or replace the shower point myself.
fwiw if it's rust colored, I found name brand CLR works best. if it's mold/mildew, this stuff. Then we use the tall skinny of these scrub brushes. It's still an annoying chore, but easier at least
I think I figured out my curtains with these, in reference to this comment. I think a light teal grey will work. Thoughts?
I think I figured out my curtains with these, in reference to this comment. I think light with a blue pattern will look nice.
i recommend this!
Colgate Peroxyl Antiseptic Mouthwash and Mouth Sore Rinse, 1.5% Hydrogen Peroxide, Mild Mint - 500ml, 16.9 Fluid Ounces https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WOSEKP2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_R6WPAB7BRTRXA56X2JZV
Yeah, this is the room. Couch will be in front right in that cutout nook area. This is the couch. TV is going on that black stand
My mom got me these jeans for Christmas two years ago
Jack & Jones Glenn Slim Fit Jeans https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JP5VXRB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_P2RBZDKJWBKGR0BWT4QE?psc=1
Back when I weighed 250 pounds. My parents have a pretty toxic way of implying I need to lose weight. Well, 55 pounds later this shit fits. We starting hot boy summer early 😎
I really wish the airshows website was a little more specific. Under allowed items it says "small camera bags" and under prohibited items it mentions "large camera bags".
And I don't know if that means I should expect to carry my camera at all times with my spare lens in a bag like this (mines a bit different, just big enough for the extra lens) or if one that could hold everything together like this would be permissible. Some dimensions on the website would be awesome.
Maybe I'll try and find a way to contact them and ask
How to steal the k_Bomb look:
Top: Shirt from Kohl's. Eagles shirt that says "Philadelphia Football". Was a gift. ($Nobody gifts me Seahawks shirts, except that Rain City Bitch Pigeons shirt that is funny but I can't wear in public)
Bottoms: Costco shorts, khaki ($14?)
Shoes: Under Armour dad jawns (Paid $40, right now $52.50)
Just a little cheap 3 gallon pot still I grabbed of Amazon.
The folks over at /r/firewater aren't too impressed with that style for various reasons, but it's "good enough" for some small simple distillations. I'm using it just to see if it's something I want to persue before dumping $500+ into a bigger/better set-up.
my most highly anticipated book of the year
>Following the success of his New York Times best-selling 2017 book, "69 Ways to Own The Libs," C.D. Carter takes his readers on a whirlwind tour of the United States in the first year of the Biden era. Carter interviews influential conservative thought leaders, conservative activists in small-town America, liberty-loving entrepreneurs, and an up-and-coming Republican mayor, among other like-minded countrymen and women. "Owning the Libs Across America" shows how one man can fight the far-left deep state, the Fauci flu, and those who would destroy freedom in the name of "public health." Read Carter's follow-up to "69 Ways" and see America unfiltered in all its glory.
I want to say it depends on the app but I’m not 100% sure on that.
I’m currently connected to a Dallas NordVPN server on my phone as a test, but Maps, google maps, and checking through a browser show my actual location in California.
If the monitor is from 05, it likely has a displayport cable on it. Was she also provided a docking station with the laptop? If so make sure to connect all of her peripherals to that and then let her know that she only needs to connect the dock cable to the machine.
If she wasn't provided a dock, she'll need to enquire about their policy about purchasing one for herself. Then get her a USBC dock like this and expense it back to the company.
Maybe also take pictures of everything you're talking about so that she'll have a visual aid as well.
Stumbled across this, had no clue they we're making more of these. 👀
NVX XPT100/Brainwavz HM5 for a slightly bass emphasized normal tuning with a relatively neutral sound and good isolation. They're like a baby HD600 in closed back form.
Creative Aurvana Live! (yes the ! is part of the name) if you want moderate bass emphasis, slightly strong highs, and low isolation. They're a half step up from open.
Audio Technica M40x. Never heard but they are said to be more balanced M50X, but I imagine the soundstage is super narrow on these. Sounds like music is very flat in width and depth.
Superlux HD681 Evo if you want decent isolation with a slightly bass/treble emphasis, and a really cheap price.
OG HyperX Cloud if you want a heavier bass/treble response, these are Takstar Pro80, you will probably see my old review if looking up reviews for it.
IMO, the NVX XPT100/Brainwavz HM5 are the best value. They have good isolation, a warm leaning neutral sound, comfort, and well under $100. It's been a while since I heard them, but unless there was a random driver revision, they are both crazy value.
The Creative Aurvana Live! were the old Denon D1001, which are so amazing. The audio bleed is kinda in-between closed back and open, their durability is eh as well.
The HyperXCloud are if you want bass with more isolation.
I got this one on sale in October, and we’ve been very pleased with it. We use it at least once a week and it’s very easy to clean.
I’ve used it many times to quickly beat eggs to make an omelette because I was too lazy to use a fork or whisk.
I got this to clean out our drains from hair and whatnot and the little claw thingy helps me get get into the u-bend. Still gross, but it's at least something I can do myself.
Totally understand not wanting to mess the pipes up!
I'd say go for it then. There are definitely cheap options if you wanted to try something before you get a better one.
I tried a trackball and couldn't stand it. I have a keyboard tray and two gaming mice so I just switch between them since they're slightly different and at different heights.
I also got one of these that I use sometimes. I think having different peripherals that you can switch between is better than having one "right" one.
So you're telling me I shouldn't get you this for secret santa present?
My laundry tips:
1: Clothes wash cold, dry on medium heat with wool dryer balls. Use a small amount of fabric softener. An ounce or less goes a long way.
2: Towels wash high heat, no fabric softener. Dry on medium with wool dryer balls.
So this morning was our annual apartment inspection. The maintenance man knocked on my door and changed the furnace filter and we asked him to fix the running toilet in the downstairs guest bathroom. He notices the unorthodox plunger, then looks at the gay flag on my living room wall and then looks at N and I (we're both male). He noped the fuck out of my house so fast and I'm pretty sure I know why.
If you own a cat you need to get one of these tri-way tunnel things, like this thing. Holy shit. I got it years ago and my kitty boi still goes nuts for it
My doctor said Pataday was the way to go. I honestly haven't needed it in a bit but they did help. The thing I'd caution about is that any spill out from the eye onto skin feels sticky.
She said for allergies, using stuff like Clear Eyes isn't ideal.
I've been replacing those with lewd anime stickers
My favorite relatively inexpensive headphones are the Sony MDR7506. Not only because they're great sound quality for the price, but also because of the anti-coolness they project. Like, yeah, I'm wearing giant ugly headphones that say "STUDIO MONITOR" on top, what's it to you?
