they are called :"toallitas para secadora" i believe, quick search in amazon.es sells them from a good range but starting at 5 euro
Im pretty sure supermarkets should have them (mercadona/carrefour/mayb others)
You need one of the following options : - Negative PCR test done in the last 48 hours - Full vaccination, last dose should have been done at least 14 days before your arrival.
Also, you need to download SpTH application on your phone and fill out a form and provide the QR code of your vaccine or your test. If it doesn't work you need to download the pdf form and fill it (I don't have a link so google it). They won't let you through without the form and the QR code (vaccine or PCR).

A bunch of providers have unlimited data plans, but none come with a modem/router.
You can get a 4G router for about 50-70 on Amazon. This one is pretty good, and comes with a simcard slot.
I personally like Movistar's "Contrato Infinito". It costs 40 EUR/month (though now it has a promotional price of 20 EUR/month). It has REAL unlimited data, 50GB in roaming, amazing network, unlimited calls/SMS... It's just great. Just walk in to any Movistar store, and walk out almost immediately with your new simcard.
Aside from 'Homage to Catalonia' by Orwell, the only books about the Civil War I've read are the Falcó novels by Arturo Perez Reverte. They are a pulp noir series about a James Bond-esque character that works for the Franco side. There's more sex than historical context, and the author constantly reminds us that the protagonist is a mercenary that doesn't really care about politics, but it is still a unique point of view.
By the way, this author has published other books about the Civil War, both fiction and non-fiction, but I haven't read them. You can find them in the "related" recommendations in this link to the first e-book in the Falcó saga:

Primero tendrías que contratar Movistar+. Después depende de donde quieras ver el contenido:
Dentro de la UE se puede ver sin problema gracias a una ley Europea que introdujeron en 2018 (Regulation (EU) 2017/1128)
Fuera de la UE no tenemos derecho a ver los contenidos de Movistar+. Para poder ver el contenido habría que usar un IP Europeo para que Movistar crea que te encuentras dentro de Europea. Con un VPN podrías obtener un IP Europeo. Yo recomiendo NordVPN.
I love these types of coffee. They sell bottles of 1L coffee in carrefour (the brand is puleva). It's mostly milk and not really strong (21mg/100ml). You can try those out.

Here's a link to the bottle on amazon so you know what to look for
Invest in a dehumidifier like this one: costs about 160 euros, but well worth it, and you can sell it on when you leave for 75 to 100. If you start getting mould, don't leave it: it can get in your lungs and cause you all sorts of issues. If you see a smaller patch, get a cleaning spray with bleach in it from the supermarket and spray it with that: if it's all over then buy a bigger sprayer and spray the walls, ceiling and floor (horrible process, but if it's everywhere, then it the only way to get rid of all the spores.)
It's very hard to pickpock a whole laptop because of it's size as the pickpocketers have to leave being unnoticed for being successful. Just don't leave your laptop unattended.
If you want some extra security (not just for the laptop but for anything you would like to carry there), use one of those backpacks whose zippers are hidden in your back and cannot be opened while you are wearing them.

I have been trying to get a decent traditional cooking book in English for a friend and let me tell you it is very hard to get a real Spanish cooking one. I got this one which is not specifically from Andalucía but has a wide variety of traditional Spanish cooking and feels to me pretty authentic. The others I’ve seen written in English were kind of the foreign view on Spanish cooking and not the real deal.

To understand the modern history (from about 1975 onwards), the political system, how the country works institutionally, I would recommend 'The Constitution of Spain: A Contextual Analysis.
For a general introduction to Spanish history that goes further back, I'd recommend A Concise History of Spain.
Incidentally, both of these are parts of a series, and I always get both before visiting a country: The Constitutions in Context and the Concise History. Between them, they give a good overview.

Things you should know:

Online it says they do Spanish IBANs now--this could be a new-ish thing--but I don't have any direct experience: https://n26.com/en-es/blog/local-iban-spain
Definitely problems getting certain types of payments with a non-Spanish IBAN--that's why everyone needs at least one account to receive tax refunds, etc.
I'd recommend Wise I ate wise and I'm really happy with it. My experience with some Spanish banks for example La Caxia/Bankia is really bad they can block your account for the smallest of reasons and isn't good at all. Another plus about wise is that they have very reasonable fees. https://wise.com/invite/ath/nicolash716
Anyhow I'd recommend that the bank you chose is friendly to forgingers and make sure to read the fine print
The administrative boundary, or the territory that your town hall administers.
There are no unincorporated territories in Spain, all territories (including fields, roads (paved or not), vulcanos, mountains, forests, desserts, islands or floating rocks) belong to a municipality.
To check what are the administrative boundaries of your municipality, put the name of it in the search bar here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/ and click in the search result that best describe the municipality. The borders will appear marked in red.
Check your bill carefully to see "when" you are using the most power each day. There are 3 billing periods per day (link):
- Off Peak (Valle): 00:00-08:00 Mon-Fri, and the full 24 hrs over weekends and festivos
- Flat (Llano): 08:00-10:00, 14:00-18:00 and 22:00-00:00 weekdays
- Peak (Punta): 10:00-14:00 and 18:00-22:00 weekdays
The fee you pay for eack period depends on the company that provides the service and what tarrif is used. However, in each home there are high consumption appliances:
- eletric oven/hob
- washing machine
- electric water heater
- electric room heaters
Try and use these in the flat or off-peak periods as much as possible (e.g. only do washing at weekends, or set the machine on a timer to come on at 07:00). Also note that the electric heater uses the most power in the 1-2 hours AFTER someone has a shower or bath. Therefore, try to make sure that everyone uses the shower 2 hours before the flat or peak rate kicks in.
You are still waiting because Correos is the one handling your shipment. They are shit. The worst.
I have lived in other countries, used many carriers during my life but never had such awful, shitty, delayed and poorly managed postal service. Just take a look at their Trustpilot reviews:
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.correos.es?b=MTU5NzY5ODkwNjAwMHw1ZjNhZjM1YTljYzIyYTA3M2M5OWQ1NWU

If you are trying to find someone working at Correos, you probably won't as it seems very few of them actually do and if they do they do it very poorly.
I'd rather trust a VPN service like AirVPN than my ISP.
Hell, I think they're more trustworthy than my banking service, and it's a good one.
Should you take my word for it!? No, do your own research.
Ahora llevo otra igual.
No oficial app, but I use the Swiss one, it's very handy. I also downloaded it on my parent's phones so they don't carry the paper around.
I would suggest Trainline. UK based I believe and they should you seats prior to booking. I used to use renfe as it was direct but recently had an issue with changing tickets and the site is just too clunky.

I use NordVPN. I don’t remember exactly how much it was but it was pretty cheap and I got like a 3 or 5 year plan so I haven’t had to worry about it at all. Now is the time to buy it if you want it as they usually have a sale for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
If you really need a VPN (whuich I doubt you do, you can still access social media and your CRM platform just fine, maybe the bank will give you a few email warnings about foreign IPs or whatever but won't block your access), just go with a whatever's on sale from the major brands. Private Internet Access, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Tunnelbear, etc are all secure and plenty fast for your purposes.
We're not China, we don't block foreign websites.
Also, why give up your US phone? You can still keep your number and it'll work fine for SMS-based verification. Granted, if you have an iPhone (as many Americans do) you only have one SIM slot but you can just keep it in a closet and change the SIM when needed.
I'm saying all this from experience, not pulling stuff out of my butt.
Also, one thing: everybody in Spain uses WhatsApp (I believe more than 90% use it as their main messaging platform). If someone gives you their number, don't text them, that'll seem weird, send them a WhatsApp message.
It's impossible to pay taxes with a N26 account. N26 does not collaborate with Hacienda, Seguridad Social or DGT.
You can however get some refunds back, like your renta refund. But that's because for the refund you can use any EU IBAN.

I wouldn't recommend having only n26 as an autonomo. Combine it witha a free bbva or openbank account
Source? NordVPN says they don’t keep any logs and the only info they keep is your email address as that’s needed for login and billing. They’ve been audited and have proved that they don’t keep logs, so please feel free to share any reliable info you have that says otherwise.
I don't know about the phone, but I've used Windscribe for 2-3 years and it works pretty well. I have the Pro version so I can log in from basically any country in the world, I don't know the available ones with the free one but there must be one in the USA.
Check reviews of Windscribe and if it convinces you, you can use this link https://windscribe.com/yo/zx4djl0s and we both will get an extra 1Gb/month for the free version
You should buy one of this so you can dry your clothes near a radiator.
The only time I have had a house with central heating was in the interior and it's really, really cold there. However, in flats in the South it really isn't common.

If you're renting a room you can buy a small electric heater for like 15 euros that will heat your room really well. (Be careful not to overuse it - they can lead to crazy high electricity bills.)

My girlfriend and I just bought a gas heater that works really well. It cost 80 euros and the gas was another 20 so it was a big investment but it's a lot cheaper and more efficient than using electric radiators long-term. It heats a cold room really well in about 30 minutes.
Do you have a minisplit on the wall for AC? Most of those also do heat. It's about 3-5x cheaper than electric radiators or heat.
We only put that kind of heater on in the evening and keep it off while sleeping and during the day as much as possible. There are low-cost items like bedwarmers, almohadillas eléctricas, braseros, those weird little personal heater things that old people seem to love.
Amazon has a few hundred reviews. Most of them are not very informative at all ("good", "bad" or similar), but some of them are a bit better. A couple of bookstore websites also have some reviews.
I have not read the book, just googled the title and author and checked the first few matches.
I assume some literary magazines/sites might have articles about the book (it IS the Premio Nadal 2021, after all).

I have a great suggestion for your first question:
Last year we visited Sevilla, Alicante, Valencia and Barcelona. To schedule the optimal trip, I used Kiwi Nomad. With this app, you can add multiple destinations and it will calculate how many days you should stay where for the most convenient trip/price.
However, I do agree 7 nights for these 4 cities is very short. A couple of nights more would make a big difference.

¡Gracias!
When you buy it in the store, it comes complete with the outer plastic and the inner parts. If you do it by yourself, all you would have to do is connect the 3 electricity cables yourself.
I have to say that I'm always scared to do it myself, even when I'm 200% sure the electricity is off.
You can pay someone to do it for you, but I highly recommend you learn how to do it yourself. It's really easy. This is the product you need.
If you really don't want to do it, maybe ask some neighbour for a electrician. Basically any electrician knows how to do this. This is the easiest thing for them to do.
I don't think so. Guay mobile is an example of eSIM offered by Airalo. They have eSIM which are country specific, and won't work somewhere else, and others which work in a certain regions. Their Eurolink eSIM works 38 European countries, so not just in the EU.
Download the app and take a look for yourself at the different eSIM's they offer and the conditions for each one. Some are reloadable, for example, others are not.

Another app I've installed is Ubigi, but that works differently. With Airalo you have a different eSIM for each country or region, you have to install them individually. With Ubigi you install just one (free) eSIM, and then buy data plans for different countries or regions.

I recommend you check out this project about Spanish immigrants to the US: Invisible Immigrants. There's a book you could check out from the library. Lots of good info about the different places people came from in Spain (Asturias, Galicia Basque Country, and Andalucía mostly), where they ended up (FL, NY, NJ, WV, HI, OH, NV, CA), and what they did for a living (cigar makers, miners, sugarcane farmers, shepherds, etc.).
Where did your family immigrate to and where were they from? My SO's family went to Tampa from Asturias. They always kept in touch with the Spanish family over the years and we've been living in Spain for 17 years and are friends with the familia here.
I Just checking, I was living in Thailand and arrive this week a package that I send me. As Arrakatanga33 tell you, the best is download the correos app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=es.correos.widget&hl=es&gl=US , and there you can check where is your parcel and supposedly, I never try, pay the tax if is necessary.
If you have any problem you can go to any oficina de correos and they will help you.
Have a look for "cubos de basura apilables". I have this pack and they're great!
Pretty sure you can find some sort of ant gel like this in Spain. I've found that ants are more responsive to a couple drops of gel than the plastic traps. They'll carry it back and it should kill them off. If they come back, just apply more gel.
The great thing is they will always be attracted to the gel first and just a couple drops will distract them away from the rest of your stuff if you wake up in the morning or get home and find more ants.
I'm not spanish, and I don't live in Spain, and I don't have a Nintento, but 3 seconds googling led me to https://www.amazon.es/Nintendo-3DS-XL-Adaptador-corriente/dp/B004ZES6B2/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=3ds+charger&qid=1621692742&sr=8-4
1080 recipes from Simone Ortega is a classic and you'll find it on every Spanish home. It's basically what it says 1080 recipes. They go from cocido, to boiling eggs. It also has a substantial french influence.
Another possibility is the food of Spain from Claudia Roden. It's a radically different book but very awarded. In its 600 pages it explains both the recippes and it's history. It's the book I would buy.
> I tried to buy a VPN but couldn't.
TunnelBear has a free tier and gives you 2.5GB per months. Or I could download the episodes and put them on my server.
>Could you explain the thing about Firefox and the subtitle track again?
Firefox has an extension that allows you to download any video on a website. Then use OpenSubtitles to try and find the correct subtitles for the episode.
